Perfect for dry skin!
Absolutely love this product. A little goes a long way! I use this product in my night time routine. I use this on the days that I feel like my face needs extra hydration. This product is a more heavy serum. I like to use this product before I use a moisturizer. I definitely wouldn’t use this product if you have oily skin. You should only use this product if you have dry or combination skin. I also love this product because it is vegan, cruelty free and synthetic fragrance free! This product is also good for fine lines and wrinkles. Definitely will continue to use. JOSIE MARAN - Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment

getting off makeup and clear skin with rosacea!
okay... so I know I've posted this before, and Cherie is (devastatingly) closing down, but I thought I'd share one last post. This really works. one is a prescription and there are a couple items missing, so I'll add them to the pictures. Here is the order they say to put on skincare (as depicted) 1) makeup remover/wash (I use Queen Helene cold cream that I SWEAR by, sometimes BURT’S BEES - BURT‘S BEES Sensitive Facial Cleanser ) 2) Facewash/second face wash (I use DERMA•E - Sensitive Skin Cleanser and Joeseph anti Acne soap 10% sulfur) 3) Toner (I use THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner ) 4) Serums (I use a few... my prescription Amzeeq, mostly The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% , and DERMA•E - Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum ) 5) Spot Treatments (Murad - Invisiscar Resurfacing Treatment , tea tree oil when needed) 6) Eye Cream (not pictured - DERMA•E - Firming DMAE Eye Lift Cream ) 7) Moisturizer (2 different kinds depending on how dry I am- pictured: Alba Botanica Aloe Green tea moisturizer, not pictured: skinfix - Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream ) 8) Retinol: Now, because I have rosacea, I use a retinol alternative. The best one for sensitive skin I found is The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion use at night only) 9) Face Oil: HEAR ME OUT: If you have oily skin, it's not the WORST thing to use an oil. As a matter of fact, it may work well. BEST ONE BY FAR IS ROSEHIP OIL. I can't tell you how amazing it is The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil , and JOSIE MARAN - Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment during the day) wear sunscreen during the day, and put it in place of retinol. I use Glossier. - Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen it's a great light moisturizer, too. And at night in the winter if it's super dry, I'll put petroleum jelly around the corners of my eyes and lips. The results don't lie, Cherie babes (: comment below I'd you know of a better eye cream.
rosacea/acne Before (1,2) and after (3,4)!
and this is close to my period as well, the last 2 pictures. I was frustrated beyond belief since the beginning of the pandemic, and would have nothing but stubborn and painful rashes underneath my nose. I felt like there was no hope for my adult acne, and finally I saw a dermatologist. It's not perfect, but well on its way. I can't say enough things about the sulfur shampoo. a couple of them are medicated, but the sulfur soap is from Amazon. are there any other products people recommend for rosacea/malar rash and dry skin? Am I just imagining things and my skin actually isn't better and I just think it is?! let me know. I'm so much happier with my skin, now!! I also use plain organic honey as a mask on my face as a natural antiseptic. Works BEAUTIFULLY! now, the things listed below are a mixture of prescription, everyday, and once in a while. Overall Experience: Have been using this product for about two months now, I have very dry skin so I wanted to try a hydrating serum to help with that and this one was really affordable and it was definitely worth it. THE inkey LIST-Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum
I purchased the THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum from Sephora during the last sale and I’ve been loving it. The inkey list is the latest affordable brand to hit Sephora and it’s definitely been successful. The HA serum is one of the most popular in the range and is super affordable. The only issue with this brands products is the shelf life is only 6 months. This product works well to layer with other serums from this brand. I especially like this serum mixed with the collagen serum. This product has a very thin clear consistency like most HA serums. This serum adds tons of moisture into your skin targeting dryness and fine lines. It penetrates beneath the skin surface. This is a great product to add to any routine both morning and night. 2% Hyaluronic Acid with Matrixyl 3000 🌟 cruelty free 🌟 clean at Sephora 🌟 affordable skincare 🌟 all skin types

Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum
Herbal Dynamics Beauty - Hyaluronic Acid 62% Hydrating Serum Product Claim: Hydrates and plumps to soften fine lines, Soothes and calms irritation, Antioxidants repair and restore, Fights inflammation and redness, Supports radiant, smooth complexion ( from herbaldynamicsbeauty.com) Key Ingredients: hyaluronic acid, organic chamomile extract, organic aloe vera, organic grape seed extract, sodium pca, organic bladderwrack extract Texture: gel consistency Price: $20 - 30 mL My Experience: I have a dry skin type so anything that will aid in hydration, I am open to trying! This serum from herbal dynamis beauty is 62% hyaluronic acid which is a pretty high concentration but it is so effective. I like to mix this serum into my moisturizers to hydrate and moisturize my face! It has a gel consistency and isn’t sticky or tacky at all. You can apply this on its own too and it absorbs into the skin very quickly. It pumps out like ¼ tsp but that is more than enough for me especially if i am combining it in my moisturizer. It does not have any fragrance in it which is always a plus! Would I recommend it? YES! This serum is very accessible and also very effective!

CAUDALIE - Vinosource SOS Deep Hydration Serum PRODUCT This serum from Caudalie is intended to be a lightweight, hydrating serum that is infused with grape water (my absolute favorite ingredient from Caudalie), hyaluronic acid (another hydration savior), and olive squalene (a plant-based alternative to a naturally occurring humectant in our skin). The purpose of this serum is to help dry, dull, or irritated skin by providing moisture. The consistency is like a thinned out moisturizer, which is typical of a mike serum (see second image). OPINION I tried this product during a facial at Sephora over 8 years ago and I have been hooked ever since. I believe that this is my 7th bottle, and I have no plans to stop using this, ever. When I had a simpler routine, this was the only product I used for hydration. However, my routine (and skin) has gotten more complex, so this is currently one step in my hydration routine, but still the most critical to me. It is $49 for the 1 oz serum, which is on the pricier side, but I obviously think it is well worth it. You can also often find it on sale at a variety of online skincare retailers. I have recommended this product to many people and have received overwhelmingly positive responses from everyone. I highly recommend this and give it a rating of 5/5 stars! *Information about ingredients adapted from brand description.

The most hyped product of the moment... theinkeylist Polyglutamic Acid... . ...What the hell is it you say?! . WELL... this is hyped as THE product for dry, dehydrated skin, it can hold 4 times more moisture than hyaluronic acid which we all already LOVE... . Apparently due to its larger molecule size this ingredient forms a thin film on the skin’s surface to prevent water loss, while plumping the appearance of fine lines and brightening lacklustre or uneven complexions... YES PLEASE! . I’ve been using this once a day either morning or night (sometimes both) after my serums but before oils and moisturiser. This doesn’t have to replace hyaluronic and can be used alongside it for SUPER hydration... I’m all for that... 😉 . It’s packed with silicones which I started to freak out about a little, as my skin can break out from silicon heavy products but this is like any other water serum... silky smooth on the skin and layers perfectly (which you know is important to me! 🙌🏻) . Will keep using it and update you all again soon... but as with any of theinkeylist products this is very affordable and definitely worth trying 🖤 . .

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
