A powder I’ll repurchase in 2020
Another MILK product I’m obsessed with: the blur + set matte loose setting powder. It does everything I want it to, and it has absolutely earned a repurchase from me. This product claims to cut shine, set makeup, and blur pores and imperfections. It contains ingredients like avocado powder and hyaluronic acid, and it doesn’t contain ingredients like talc or silicone. It’s also vegan and cruelty free. Long story short, I couldn’t make this powder look caky if I TRIED. Granted, I was using a cheap drugstore powder before this, so the difference was extra dramatic after making the switch, but I truly could never go back. This sets my Kosas tinted face oil and keeps it there ALL day—I look glowy, but not shiny, and my pores are less noticeable. It never makes my face feel dry. One thing that some users don’t love is the design of the container—it has this mesh inside that’s supposed to keep the powder from spilling out (?) and allows you to just get a little at a time. Some find it weird, but I haven’t had any issues with it. I just swirl my brush over the mesh and I get enough product. At $29, I’ll be repurchasing for sure. I think this is a generous amount of product for the price. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good setting + blurring powder.

My go to face products!❤️
The Maybelline fit me matte poreless foundation ( shade 330) has been my go to lately. It’s lightweight and matches me perfectly. Although my skin is a little on the dry side it doesn’t leave my skin looking flakey or feeling uncomfortable. The milk makeup Hydro grip primer really helps keep my makeup on all day. It’s honestly the only primer I have tried that actually works for me. The milk makeup blur set matte loose setting powder is my favorite! I often struggle with finding a powder that actually keeps my makeup in tact all day without feeling heavy. This powder is so light weight and leaves my skin looking flawless ! #cheriecreator
Quick quarantine face
These are the products I’ve been using consistently every day to help maintain a sense of routine while working from home. This makeup look takes me ten minutes or less and helps me look put together on all my video calls! Dr. Jart+ - Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 I can’t recommend this enough as a base that evens out redness while providing SPF and looking like nothing is there. This + concealer on my active breakouts gives me all the coverage I need. Kosas - REVEALER SUPER CREAMY + BRIGHTENING Concealer Okay I LOVE this concealer. It covers my acne + scars and blends like a dream. This does crease pretty badly under my eyes if I don’t remember to set it, though. Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder Sets the Dr. Jart cream + my concealer and keeps them there all day. I couldn’t make this powder look cakey if I tried, which is why I plan to repurchase forever. Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek Makes me look alive and awake. While I love the idea of being able to just swipe this directly on my cheeks and blend with my fingers like I’m some French model, I find that applying with a blush brush gives me more of the look I’m going for. Kosas - Port LipFuel Hyaluronic Lip Balm Keeps my lips super hydrated, thanks to the hyaluronic acid, and gives them a wash of color that instantly makes me look more put together. Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara Nothing to complain about here! This mini has been lasting forever, and it’s the perfect everyday mascara for me. Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel Pre-plague, I would fill in my brows every day with a pomade and then use this on top to fluff up my brows. Since I started working from home I’ve just been using this gel on its own and I’m loving it!
FLAWLESS BASE: MATTIFYING POWDER
rms beauty - Un" Powder I love this powder SO MUCH. I use it every single day to set my T-zone to keep it matte and looking fresh. It blurs my pores and minimizes any fading throughout the day. I love how my skin looks when I’m wearing it and it makes my skin feel super soft too! I also love that there are only two ingredients in it so it minimizes the chance that I get ant irritations or congestion in my skin. This does have a tiiny bit of flashback, but to be honest I rarely take photos with flash on a day-to-day basis! If I know I’ll be out for the night, I’ll switch to my Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder for the day. (A post about it is coming soon!!!)

Long-Wear Test: Nudestix Nudies Tinted Blur
NUDESTIX - Nudies Tinted Blur Stick PRODUCT A light-coverage blurring product that can be used as a “foundation” or primer. It contains soft-focus minerals that help to blur imperfections and create a “soft matte glow.” Mine is in the shade Light 3, which I find matches my skin tone pretty well. OPINION I tested this product over the course of 7 hours and closely paid attention to the wear and how the product interacted with my skin over this time period. I was working from home, so I was under optimal conditions for this product to perform well. I like the coverage this product provides, I am not a fan of full coverage, and this just slightly blurs out any imperfections or redness. In that respect, it does exactly what it claims. It is just a tint on the skin – so if you need more coverage, this is not the product for you. It does give a slightly blurring effect, but I let my primer do most of that work for me (I used Dr. Brandt Pores No More under this). After watching it closely, I see that this starts to crease in oilier areas (nose, chin, forehead) at around the 3 hour mark and by the 5 hour mark, it looks kind of cakey in those same areas. After completing this wear test, I feel like this would be best suited for a quick event like a meeting, lunch, or dinner; or used as light coverage for the perimeter of my face, not the oilier areas. I don’t know how well this would work for someone with dry skin because the formulation is pretty dry itself. Overall, I think this is a good product if you like light coverage, but it is pretty pricey at $30 for .022 oz, so I would not necessarily recommend it, though I do enjoy using it. It does not really work well with other products and has a tendency to pill when swiped over some primers. I give this a 4/5 stars (because it worked well for me, but can be fussy).
NUDESTIX-Nudies Tinted Blur Stick
I’ve tested so many primers from samples to full-size and it’s taken a very long time to find one I really enjoy. tarte - Double Duty Beauty Shape Tape Pore & Prime Balm hands down has to be my favorite for blurring my pores. Super light and easy to work with. It’s texture reminds me of a lip balm but it so quickly and easily sinks into my skin hiding my pores innisfree - No Sebum Blur Primer is definitely my favorite for the entire face. This one also sinks so easily into the skin. It’s got a bit of a thicker texture than a moisturizer but it spreads so easy #Anastasia - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Anastasia Beverly Hills Eye Primer I really enjoy this one for a bit of a boost in my skins luminosity. I haven’t used it in a long while and it’s expired but it’s definitely one I’d like to try again I recently purchased TATCHA - The Liquid Silk Canvas: Featherweight Protective Primer and LOVED it at first use. This one is such a light serum and I felt my makeup looked flawless!! I’ll be doing a more in-depth review once I’ve worked with it a bit longer. It’s texture is about the consistency of a lightweight moisturizer and a little goes a long way. This should last me a long while as I don’t wear makeup all too often Feel free to reach out if you have any questions on the ones pictured 😉 #CherieCreator

CLAIMS VS THOUGHTS | Maybelline Fit Me
MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder Don’t get me wrong, I love this powder! But it doesn’t live up to some of its claims. I love this as a heavier full coverage powder. It is a loose powder that is very finely milled and feels high quality to me. It definitely brightens my underyes a lot because of the light shade. I love the price that its very affordable and readily available at most drugstores. They also have a good shade range of this powder. It mattifies my skin very well! ✅ It smooths out my pores to make my skin look flawless ✅ However, this product gives a lot of coverage! For that reason, I would not call it translucent. When I first used it I left it on for too long and it made my underyes white! I can only leave it on for a few seconds now before wiping away and it still leaves behind so much coverage ❌ Even though it doesn’t live up to all of its claims, I love it for its coverage and smoothing effects. So this one is a win for me!

Favorite glowy look
I reach for Milk MAKEUP - Blur Stick whenever I wanna be just a little more dewy. The luminous blur stick has changed my life. I’ve tried the matte as well but the real game changer is the luminous version. Very natural but not over the top with the glow. And covers pores or anything I would like to just subtly fade. I’m not a fan of full coverage makeup and this allows me to have a my skin but better look, which is always the goal.
