👁 No Smudge Eye Makeup 💦
The eye makeup can easily dropping of due to oily eyelids or the powder texture of eye shadow. This is why nowadays I like to start with the eye base cream - Eye primer. For the longest time, I used concealer on my lids as a primer. I also find that some eyeshadow colours that normally don't look obvious or as pigmented on my skin tone were definitely more pigmented and obvious. Some may have the concern whether we should apply primer before or after the liquid foundation, or directly apply the eye shadow? And where and how should we apply it? I want to share my experience of most effective method and products that makes my eye makeup stay for whole day. Eye primer can improve the dullness of the eyes, make the eye shadow's color rendering. It also contributes to long lasting makeup throughout the day. Generally, applying eye primer is an indispensable and essential step in the overall makeup routine. Let's talk about the steps for eye primer. Compared with skin on the rest of our face, the area round eyes is very fragile. This is also why, we need to have an individual seperate process for skincare and makep before applying makeup around eyes. Here is my recent favorite eye primer. It goes on translucent which was really a plus. And It takes a few minutes to try down and leaves a smooth finish. NARS - Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base

My true destiny: Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
Age: 23 Eye color: Dark Brown Skin Tone: Fair Skin Type: Combination, dry on cheeks and oily in T-zone and eyelids I don’t think I needed an eyeshadow base or primer until I found that my eyeshadow would always disappear because of the “crease” on my eyelids. I asked my bestie and she told me that a good primer might be useful to prevent this awkward situation, so I started to look for good eye base products. I firstly had tried UD shadow primer which has the most reviews (almost 7.3k) on Sephora online shop, but it disappointed me as I would keep shedding tears after applying it around my eyes… I went to the Sephora in down town Santa Monica, and the sales recommended NARS’s smudge proof eyeshadow base for me. I bought it for $26 with a 20% discount. The effect is amazing. Actually, it completely changed my eye makeup!!! This was definitely the missing piece. I bought the original color which is almost invisible when applied. It’s fragrance-free. The texture is very lightweight and it creates a seamless canvas which keeps cream and powder eye color looking brilliant, fresh, and just-applied all day. I usually sweep a thin layer onto my eyelids and blend it with my fingertips. It blends well and dries in just seconds. For me, I prefer to fill in my eyebrows in the gap, then follow with the eyeshadows. You should believe me that even in summer, you will have your eyeliners and shadows in their place after a whole day out. You can see from the pics I attached, it’s obvious that the color and persistence are both different with & without this primer. With this lovely stuff, I never worry about if my eyeliner is smudging or my eyeshadow is moving. It “locks” my eye makeups in place. One piece could last for 6-7 months if used daily. I’ve already used up two pieces. Definitely my must-repurchase. I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THIS MAGICAL PRODUCT!
NARS vs. Urban Decay, for eye primer, the winner is...
I bought them from Ulta a year ago. Both eye primers are very hype. My eye makeup is easily massed up in summer. Thus, eye primer is a key step for summer makeup. I use it after applying foundation. NARS - Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base NARS eye base is really good. I have been using it for almost a year. It may be expired soon, so the eyes are prone to uneven coating when dry. It is a white tasteless paste, suitable for oily eyelids. After using it, the color of eyeshadow will be brighter and lasting. When the eyes are dry, you can apply eye cream before makeup! URBAN DECAY - Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion Urban Decay eye primer is a product that helps improve the color and durability of eyeshadow. After using it, I was sweating for an hour and my eye makeup was still perfect! As you can see in Pic 2 and 3, Urban Decay eye primer looks more smooth, but in Pic 4 I rinse them in the pool and NARS is more durable. Urban has been used for a long time, and sometimes it's not easy to apply. For me, I'll definitely rebuy NARS!
New red lipstick!!
For MAC’s National lipstick day celebration, I treated myself to Matte lipstick in Russian Red, Lustre lipstick in Hug me, and for my freebies I got Marrakesh and Dubonnet. I have been on the hunt for the perfect red lipstick for fair skin. I haven’t worn red lipstick in years! I just love how bold it is. MAC - MAC Matte Lipstick in Russian Red is a great neutral undertoned red. I don’t look good in orange toned reds but most blue toned reds can look very dark almost brick colored on fair skin. This is such a classic red that isn’t too bright or dark. The MAC lip pencil in Cherry is the perfect pairing! I didn’t want anything that would turn the lipstick dark but this is just a hair darker for a good lip contour. What’s your favorite lipstick?? I have tagged more of my current makeup favorites! okay, so I didn’t know if I had anything to contribute regarding mask makeup, BUT I did start doing my makeup a little different AND got complimented on it while wearing a mask, so that qualifies right?! essentially, the name of the game is 👁 e y e s 👁, since that’s the main feature you see when wearing a mask (as you should be!) here’s what I’ve been using lately: MAC - MAC Eyeshadow I start by using my finger to blend in an orange shade from MAC. using a different finger, I take a gold shimmery shade and apply that just to the area above my lashes. it’s not super neat but that’s okay! because then... I use HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Bronzer with a small brush to blend the eyeshadow into my skin! this helps it look really blended and beautiful. it’s such an easy trick and makes the biggest difference. I then line my waterline with this black liner. it’s so silky and drugstore so I’m a super fan! I also make a soft wing and use the sponge applicator on the end to smudge into a thinner line. it kinda got away from me today, but hey. I’m trying my best here, haha. RIMMEL - Exaggerate Waterproof Eyeliner LANCÔME - Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara finish everything off with this volumzing mascara! I’ve mentioned this quite a few times, it’s a fave. that’s it! pretty simple right? honestly, however you wear your makeup as long as you wear a mask will be GORGEOUS!! stay safe out there! ☁️ #cheriepartner

Small eye makeup look
Hello guys, I have small eyes and big face. I tend to do my makeup differently to enhance my eyes and make my face look smaller. I highlight inner corner of my eyes and try to use lighter colour eyeshadow in my inner corner. Don’t drag down the eyeshadow try to make angular shape upwards. Use tape it helps to create that shape. If you like using eyeliner make a thin line. I don’t like to use fake lashes as it hides my eye look so if you want to use eyelashes select thinner one. Use white eyeliner to make your eyes look bigger.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
