Slay At Home
When I’m quarantining I still like to be glam, whether I’m going on a walk to get some fresh air, having a socially distanced hang out with a few friends, or simply hopping on a zoom call; I love to feel and look my best with this simple but sexy look. Since we all have to wear masks this look has more emphasis on the eyes and making them look beautiful but not too done up. 1. On a well moisturized face I begin by applying the iconic tarte - Shape Tape Concealer on all the places I need coverage like: under the eyes, chin, nose, and between the brows on the forehead. I don’t like to use foundation as I find it covers too many of my freckles which I like to see peaking through so applying concealer just where I need it allows me to cover exactly what I need. The Shape Tape concealer is amazing; it covers basically anything, blends seamlessly into the skin, and has a very natural finish that doesn’t look like makeup. I’ve used it for years and it’s simply the best. 2. Next I move on to eyes before I finish the rest of my face. Using a fluffy shadow brush of your choice I apply MAC’s MAC - Studio Fix Sculpt & Shape Contour Palette powder as a shadow base all around the eye for a natural looking shadow. I like to blend the shadow up and out to elongate the eye. Taupe from MAC is the absolute best contour color and can be used anywhere on the face, it’s great because it’s so versatile. 3. I then take a dark brown shade of shadow mixed with black shadow and apply that to the upper lash line for definition. MAC - MAC Eyeshadow 4. Using the surratt - Relevée Lash Curler then curl my lashes squeezing them at the base, mid length, and ends of the lash for a strong curl. This curler opens up wide so you can fit your entire eye in the device and get a nice even curl. 5. Next using the MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - At Lash’d Lengthening and Curling Mascara I apply several coats focusing the majority of the product at the base. This mascara is great for separating and lengthening. 6. Then taking the #Huda Beauty - False Lashes[products]#[FiveStars] Harmony #17 lashes I use a little bit of Duo lash glue and apply them to the corners of my eye. I loveeee this lash because it’s perfect for the outer corners of the eyes to help achieve a cat like effect. 7. Now moving back to the skin I go in with thePATRICK TA - Major Beauty Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush in the shade “she’s Passionate” and apply this to the apples of the cheeks and forehead and brow bone. This shade is perfect for my skin tone because it gives a flushed sun burnt look and the formula is beautiful and bendable. 8. I then add warmth and definition to the face using the MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect Tan in “Tan-Tastic!” On the top of the forehead, under the jaw, contours of cheeks, and lightly across the bridge of the nose. I love this bronzer and if you want to know why check out my last post on the battle of the bronzers! 9. With a fluffy brush like the MAC 240S brush I take my PAT McGRATH LABS - Sublime Perfection Setting Powder and apply the powder to the forehead and T-Zone to eliminate shine. This powder is one of the best I’ve ever used and it has a really natural skin-like texture. I don’t like when powders look cakey but this one doesn’t have that appearance. 10. For the brows I use the amazing URBAN DECAY - Brow Blade Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil & Ink Stain in shade “Cool Cookie” to fill in the brows where needed. This product is so efficient because the combination of the marker and pencil gives a very natural look to the brow without it feeling heavy. 11. The last step is to highlight the high points of the face like the tops of the cheekbones, tip of the nose, inner corners of the eye and center of eyelids, brow bone, Cupid’s bow, and chin. I absolutely love the NATASHA DENONA - Face Glow Cream Shimmer stick in “Light” this product gives a super natural sheen and highlight to the skin, it just helps everything look juicy and plump!
Round face? You should get this palette
I have a round face. When I make up, I prefer to make my facial features look more delicate, and make my face look slimmer, so I cannot do without a contour plate. Today I would like to recommend a contour palette. The product is MAC's Emphasize Cream Accentuate Taupe Sculpt Bone Swath -Studio Fix Sculpt And Shape Contour Palette. Wow, it’s a long name. The price is very reasonable. It comes in six colors for less than $60. And none of these six colors are hard to use or look unnatural on the face. Its texture is a bit like a foundation, not a powder, so it blends well with the foundation. Dry skin girls will also be very suitable when using this product Let me show you how to use these six colors. "Emphasize" is a very fine color applied to my face, and I usually apply it to the position of the bridge of my nose and eyebrow bones to emphasize those areas and make my features look more solid. "Cream" can brighten the dark circles under your eyes. Its color is a bit like cream, which can be used as concealer. Accentuate can be applied to your cheekbones, which can pump up this part of your face. "Taupe" is used to decorate the outline. I usually apply it on both sides of my nose to make my nose look higher. "Sculpt" is a great way to base the eye socket. It will immediately make your eyes look deeper. "Bone Beige" is perfect for applying on your mandible and cheekbones. It can decorate your face. I especially am a round face. I use it in the mandible position most of the time to make my face look slimmer. One drawback of this contour palette is that it is relatively large and not suitable for taking out. However, I am very satisfied with other aspects, so I would like to recommend it to you.
Creasing is the worst for eyeshadow. But I have this eyeshadow primer!
Every time you put it in the time to create a dramatic eye look, you must hope the eyeshadow and eye liner stay at the area they’re supposed to be. However, you also find that makeup will get creasing and uneven a few hours later, especially for oily eyelids. That’s why you need an eye primer which can help your eye makeup stick around the eye area. If you have never tried an eye primer, you must try it right now because it really enhances the eyeshadow application. If you already can’t do make up without eye primer, I recommend you my favorite eye primer— URBAN DECAY - Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion Anyone who has ever heard about this brand— Urban Decay, must know its popular eye primer product. I bought it at Sephora by $24. The sales told me that this eye primer was favored by lots of professional stylists and makeup blogger, and this product works to create a crease-free look. The truth was just like what she said. When I used this eye primer, it soon became one of my favorite makeup tools. Also, I found that this little purple potion has a cult following in the Internet. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion serves as an eye makeup base for no creasing and long-lasting eye shadow finish. The primer is incredibly lightweight. It is creamy, smooth but without feel any sticky or greasy, and easily goes on the lids and dries down to a powder finish. But it works like a glue which holds onto whatever eyeshadow you put on it and ups color intensity. Applying with this magical eye primer, your eye shadow will stay in place all day long without creasing or caking! Only a small amount will serve the whole eyelids, so one primer can be used for several months.

some new makeup developments for me!
So! i’m not good at contouring, never have been. BUT today, i used bronzer effectively! i was so excited and nervous lol and it came out really pretty and i’m very excited about it. i used a lot of too faced stuff for this shiny glowy look (inspired by Bailey Sarian’s 90’s makeup look tbh) and overall this was an incident free application process. as usual, many of these products are my favs and i adore them, but i did want to talk a little bit about the MAYBELLINE - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer i actually meant to buy the concealer when i bought this, but it is the PERFECT summer shade for me. using a wet beauty blender i really pounded it into my skin and honestly, this is the nicest i have ever gotten a foundation to look on me. it’s very creamy and buildable, and honestly for 10 dollars how could you go wrong? i have medium skin during the summertime (i tan easily) so darker shades work best for me and honestly, i feel like i’m glowing AND have nothing on. Strong recommendation! hope you all have a wonderful day and try this foundation (or any of the other products here) and experiment!
My favorite contours! Powder or Solid?
Here, I got two contour-s to share with you gals. These two are definitely my holy grails contour. I don’t think I will buy any other contours any more. ⭐️Powder! MAC Matte Eyeshadow #Omega $17 This one is meant to be an eyeshadow, but I used it as a contour. It’s a matte texture, so it’s okay to be a contour. I love the color of it, it’s warm greyish brown, that perfect fix with my skin tone. Forget to mention, I have light skin tone. The normal contour always goes with goldish brown color, which shades is kinda dark, and tent to make my make-up look looks dirty. It has fine powder and easy to apply, and won’t cake my makeup. See color swatches on the 2nd pic, it’s pigmented and the color just perfect match my skin tone. ⭐️Solid! Fenty Beauty Match Stix Matte Skinstick #Amber $24 Fenty Beauty contour is stick applicator, which is quite unique- magnetized, but I only got one stick that could not try this fun function. Amber Skinsticks would not dry out my skin, the coconut oil ingredient brings hydration. It’s buildable without cakey, and easy to apply. The color is close to Mac #Omega, but a bit darker and warmer than it. I use it before applying foundation, that could make the contour looks more natural. Need to notice that, if apply the Stick after setting powder, makeup will be caked. I love both of them. I think the both texture work great! The Mac one is more easy to apply and won’t have any risk of cakey. The Fenty Beauty one is a good choice for Pro beauty lover.

Instant weight loss by collarbone contouring 🤔
You know how we girls sometimes can go out of our way to make us look better. And one extra step I would bother to take when doing makeup in summer is to contouring my collarbones to make them pop and more emphasized, especially when I am wearing crop tops. I mean, when these extra lines and blending can make us look in better shape, there is no loss in learning these tricks, right? I’ve prepared a breakdown of this technique and it’s really easy, now let’s see. · Products you need: ◇ a bronzer product that is pretty deeper than your skin tone ◇ a highlighter ◇ eyeshadows glitters (optional) · Products I used: ◇ Single eyeshadow in the shade “omega” from MAC ◇ Liquid highlighter in the shade “champagne pop” from Becca ◇ Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in the shade “diamond dust” from Stila · Steps and tips: ◇ Use a lotion to moisturize the areas you are going to contour. It’s like you would apply a primer to make your makeup lasts longer and looks better. ◇ Push your shoulders and brush the lines above and underneath your collarbones with the bronzer product of your choice. It’s okay if there are harsh lines and make sure you repeat several times so it will actually make a difference. ◇ Use a beauty blender to blend the bronzer and make it look natural. ◇ Apply the liquid highlighter right on the collarbones. ◇ Dab some glitters from any of your eyeshadows to add some subtle shines. They will look especially great under the sunlight. I personally find the glitter eyeshadow from stila a perfect choice at this step. ◇ You can use a setting spray to set if you worry it would smudge. So here are the steps to create a finely drawn glowy collarbones contouring. Hope it would help you and let me know the results in the comments if you try this out!

How to contour a round face: here’s my secret😬
Being a round face, I kinda enjoy people’s compliments of how I usually look cute and young. But it is an obstacle when I wanna try out some mature and sexy style. So at this time, contouring powders and technique are there to help me out. Today I want to share with you how I usually contour my round face to make it appear a little longer and slimmer. These are my tricks to adding definition of my face features. · What I will use: ◇ Bronzer: hoola from Benefit ◇ Highlighter: liquid highlighter in the shade “Champagne pop” from Becca ◇ Blush: Blush Bouquet Dual Blush Palette in the shade “Adore” from Jouer Cosmetics · Steps of contouring the face: 1. The first step is to emphasize your cheekbones since I believe most round-face girls are bothered by soft and rounded features on their faces. To achieve that, you want to first suck in your cheeks in the mirror to find the right area to start applying the bronzer powder with the brush it comes with. 2. Another place to use bronzer is where around your temples. Narrowing these two sides will make your face visually slimmer. Just use your brush to draw a “C” shape on both sides. 3. Next, use you finger to apply the liquid highlighter in three areas: under-eye area, the middle part of your forehead and also your chin. 4. And here comes the blush: use the blush to connect the areas of bronzer and highlighter and make sure they are blended out in a natural way. It would be a good idea to dab a little of the product on your chin. 5. Finally, it would be better if you could use a large face powder brush to blend all the products on your face to make sure there are no clear boundaries. · Some more tips: As you can see from my swatch, my chosen products are rather in the same undertone of golden and yellowish color. In this way they look more harmonious when used together. If you somehow use too much product, you could always save it by applying enough face powder to blend!
