💅Paint Your Nails PERFECTLY at Home
Today Im gonna share my fully process, STEP-BY-STEP at home manicure with you guys. starting out, you will need to get your nail polish off (if you have some left) Started out, I would take 100% acetone where you can get at almost everywhere. I got mine at Walmart with great deal. I found that acetone takes nail polish off the easiest. Make sure you get your nails moisturized. After I get my cuticles softened and trimmed, I would use a buff to buff off the sharp edges and to get the perfect shape that I want. Then it’s time to move on to my base coat. I am using this base coat from Revlon that I get in drugstore years ago. It’s supper affordable and I personally don’t have any preferences on nail polish branding. If you know one that’s really working fantastic, let me know I want to try something different. REVLON - Quick Dry Base Coat

LaurenGWi recommend OPI nail polish! for me personally, i do a lot of lifting work outside on the farm as well as lots of mowing. for my nails, it stays on about a week which for me is a long time. it’s also cheaper to get your nails done at home than a nail salon and less time consuming. and your nails don’t get as damaged! definitely recommend!

Essie Nude Nail Polishes
Some of my favourite nail polishes from @essie ! 💕How pretty are these colours?! 😍 I always prefer wearing light pinks and nudes on my nails. It just looks so fresh and clean and it matches with everything. But with fall around the corner I’m really feeling the dark colours and I may need to buy some more! 🤍💗 What’s your favourite nail polish/ go to nail colour? ✨ Colours from left to right: Blanc Ballet slippers Topless & barefoot Lady like Angora cardi Bordeaux
5 for the Season - Summer Saviors
It honor of the first day or fall (even though it feels nothing like fall - go away humidity!) I thought it only appropriate to spotlight my favorite and most used products for this past summer. Aaaaand go! Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Tea Tree Scalp Treatment Serum I have extremely oily hair- I mean I have to start using dry shampoo the day after a wash or I look like the girl for the ring. This treatment has been a lifesaver, especially during the summer. I’ve been able to go longer between washes and my scalp has much less build up. e.l.f. - Superhydrate Moisturizer oily combo skin would absolutely love this. Not only is the texture gel like and fun (think jello- wiggle wiggle make it jiggle) but squalene is the main emollient, which is well suited for combo skin, keeping it hydrated w/o feeling greasy. essie - Longwear Nail Polish since nail salons were closed for the majority of the summer I had to keep my hands and feet in check all by my lonesome. Unfortunately, I am a nightmare when painting my nails. I need something easy and quick, so a two step gel product was the way to go. I went with the sheer pink nude color “Fairy Tailor”. It’s beautiful, almost like your natural nails with a slight blush tint. Very easy and pretty, perfect for summer. Secret - Clinical Strength Smooth Solid Deodorant not sure if it’s global warming or what, but the level of humidity and sweat in Southern California this year has been disgusting. I needed a little more muscle in my deodorant and antiperspirant so I opted for the clinical strength. I had to get used to the fact that you put it on at night before bed, but it does wonders to keep you dry and smelling fresh for up to 48 hours. PAULA'S CHOICE - Clear Acne Body Spray I think I’ve already raves about this, buuuut, this summer I couldn’t figure out why I was suddenly breaking out on my back (which by the way hasn’t happened since high school). Since the pandemic hit I’ve been opting for more comfortable clothes and that includes wearing sports bras the majority of the time, which was trapping all the sweat and letting it sit on my back. This handy little spray, which BTW also sprays when you hold it upside down, is 2% salicylic acid which does wonders to clear away dead skin sells that block pores. This coupled with the right benzoyl peroxide body wash cleared my bacne up in about 6 weeks. I will forever repurchase this!
Salon ready gel manicure @ home!! 💅🏼
If you go to the nail salons twice a month like me to get your nails pampered and polished, you’ll understand the struggle of keeping your nails looking good in quarantine. At first, I went with regular nail polish (I.e. Essie and OPI) and got frustrated that it wasn’t lasting too long or looking too great. I picked up DASHING DIVA - In the Blush from Target because it claims it wear just like salon gel. The design was cute so I wanted to try it out. It comes with several different designs and a lot of sizes. It’s pretty easy to apply. All you have to do is : Prep your nails by cleaning them with an alcohol pad find the appropriate design/size for your nails and place it so it fits and PUSH down & apply pressure Fold it down and file away using the white side of the nail file so the excess material comes off File down the edges and smooth with the pink side of the nail file Voila! Your salon gel mani is finished. It’s quite fun to mix and match the design. A tip: the more narrow side of the sticker is for the TOP of the nail and the wider side of the nail sticker goes where the nail bed is. Don’t make the mistake I did and place it upside down 😂 The downside of this is the stickers may not fit your nail size exactly (which is understandable) and sometimes it might lift off or be slightly bump if applied wrong. It’s not a replacement for a salon gel mani by any means but it’s good enough for me at the moment!

🦋This charming nail polish is L'ORÉAL - Paris Colour Riche Nail and is part of the L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche collection. If this product is right up your alley, I highly recommend you check out my previous post of I Pink I'm in Love. This one can also be found in any drug-store for around $5.90. 🦋The color is a mix of lilac and pink with a slight shimmer which makes it PERFECT for the Spring and Summer seasons (or any season because who cares). Like, the other one, it is fairly sheer so I would recommend two coats for higher coverage. Even though they're from the same collection, I feel like the formula is different? The wait time was a bit longer for this color than the other. The application was also pretty smooth with not much streaking and the finish is gorgeous. 🦋I did not notice it chipping early on and it was super easy to remove as well. Highly recommend this product if you love pink, lilac, and shimmers!

DIY FRENCH NAILS HACK
I love the look of French tipped nails put achieving the look is hard for me to freestyle. Many years ago I saw a tip in a magazine on how anyone can achieve this look at home. All you need to create the design is reinforcement stickers that will make the outline for the design. HOW TO: I start off by placing the stickers on all of my nails where I want the design to be. (Some nails may require more then one sticker.) Next, I apply two coats of L.A. Girl - Color Pop Nail Polish to the tips of the nails. Let dry, then pull off the sticker carefully to reveal the design. Next, I use Sally Hansen - Nail Rehab as the base color polish and apply avoiding the white tip area. Lastly, I apply a layer of gel top coat and cure under a UV light. That’s it, your nails are complete! I love this look because it is a classic and compliments everyones skin tone.
