What I do to make my round face slimmer
Did you know that with the right methods and tricks, you can actually change your face shape to a very large extent? I have always had a complex about my round face and tend to use my hair to cover up my face. Nowadays, I have found the power of makeup and I’m excited to share the tips on how to make your round face slimmer! Face shape: Like I said before, I have a very round face. I have very large cheekbones and chubby cheeks, so my face looks like a lollipop. But with the help of highlighter and blush, I was able to fake a slim face! Method: highlight + blush position I have realised that if you apply highlighter correctly, it does an amazing job at shaping and slimming the face, even without shading. I tend to apply it on my nose bridge and nose tips, cupids bow and chin because it makes my face look so much more dimensional and actually adds depth to my face. So my face does not look flat and round anymore. I would apply only a light layer of highlighter on my cheekbones because I don’t want to enlarge them since they are big enough as it is and are what make my face look huge and round. Similarly with blush, if you choose a calm and deeper shade of blush and apply it on your cheekbones almost like shading, then it has a slimming effect. Sometimes shading might look too harsh or unnatural, but using a blush to shape your face is a much more natural and subtle way of shaping your face. Products: Fenty Beauty Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Duo + Benefit Dandelion Highlighter: This is by far my favourite highlighter! It does not provide a subtle glow but a very strong one which I absolutely adore. The colour payoff is amazing. It includes a golden tone and a bluish cold tone that is perfect for any skin tone. I am able to create many looks with this highlighter. Blush: Blush is my favourite part of the makeup and Dandelion is a keeper for me. It is in a very cute baby pink shade with gold shimmer that brightens up the complexion nicely. It gives me a lovely girl next door look. I also love the packaging, not only is it super cute but also it includes a small mirror and brush inside, which is very convenient to carry around. It comes in two sizes, for anyone that is budget conscious, I’d recommend the smaller size which is $25 that still lasts a long time even if I apply it almost everyday.

a look i’m currently obsessed with
just a look i did last night that i can’t get over because it is so pretty!!! some of the products i used are smashbox - Photo Finish Foundation Primer Super Light i rated this 3 stars because it feels nice, does its job, but i don’t necessarily feel it makes that much of a difference in extending the wear of makeup. smashbox - Studio Skin 24 Hour Oil-Free Hydra Foundation (SHADE 0.1) i loveeee this foundation!!! it looks so flawless on the skin. it is medium to full coverage, & a semi-matte formula; perfect for my combination skin. it doesn’t feel or look cakey either. however, i am struggling to find a primer & powder that works well with this foundation. most i’ve tried make the foundation separate, or look surprisingly flakey. the only con to what would be a perfect foundation!! HOURGLASS - Vanish Airbrush Concealer (SHADE BIRCH) i absolutely love this concealer as well!! it looks absolutely flawless on the skin, almost like an airbrush effect (hehehehe) & it is definitely a full coverage concealer. the only issue i have with this concealer in particular is the shade range. i feel as if it is lacking in that department & therefore i struggle to rate this 5 stars. i cannot bring myself to suggest this product if it is not available for everyone to try. disappointing. ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Loose Setting Powder (SHADE VANILLA) this is such an incredible setting powder. let me preface this with i am NOT AT ALL A FAN OF BAKING!!! i do not bake my face, nor do i recommend others with combo skin to. i cannot suggest this as a baking powder as that’s not what i use it for, however, it does not flake or cake my face whatsoever. it makes it look so flawless & smooth. i have struggled to find a face powder i enjoy, & this has quickly become my favourite. this could possibly be a new holy grail product. i love it!! e.l.f. - Wow Brow Gel (SHADE NEUTRAL BROWN) it does the job. it makes my brows look very fluffy & it is super easy to use. the staying powder is great & it doesn’t clump on my brows nor is it runny. also, the price is unbeatable & the packaging is very cute!! i am sad to say though, you don’t get a lot of product & there’s only 4 shades. MAC - Pro Longwear Paint Pot Eyeshadow (SHADE BARE STUDY) wow. i have been skeptical of eye primers, but this one has changed the game for me!! it really does make the shadows pop & makes the stay on for such a long time!! although i don’t recommend the shade bare study, it’s a shimmer & i didn’t realise until i tried it out!! i have heard the shades soft ochre & painterly are popular for this product so if you are using this as an eye primer, keep your eyes peeled for those shades!! the rest of the products are tagged in the photo!! 💞💞💞
All seasons look
This is go-to natural makeup look for any season- its great because it could a summer look or a fall look! The subtle holographic highlighter Milk MAKEUP - Holographic Stick is the key to making this look glowy and dewy- my summer fave- and the Too Faced - Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer bronzer warms the look- my fall fave. Tip: pack on the bronzer in areas where you would normally contour; as I skip contour, thats my key to make my look really nice and tanned-looking. I also love the soft pink lip, I think it goes well for all seasons because of my medium skin tone. I like using the liquid lipstick and topping it off with a lipstick to freshen up the look throughout the day ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Anastasia Matte Lipstick
NARS - NARS Blush I have fair skin and this shade looks really nice on me. It's a nice everyday, simple, neutral shade. Gives a nice soft and natural hue of color to my cheeks. I don't need to layer the color - but, if you are looking for more color, sure it would layer well, too.✨I absolutely love this. I don’t wear a lot of makeup but I won’t leave the house without this blush! What is it: The ultimate authority in blush, nars offers the industry's most iconic shades for cheeks. Who is it for: All skin types. How to use: Apply color on center of cheek and blend along the bone.
Beautiful flush of pink 💗
This NARS blush is in the shade goulue. I received it when I became a rouge member on Sephora many years ago. I’ve used it many times and it still looks new! This gives me a cute flush of pink and kinda reminds me of the orgasm blush shade. It stays all day and people have commented and said it looks super natural on me ☺️. Sometimes it takes a bit to get on the brush but it’s not so bad. This is beautiful on the lids as an eyeshadow. I like applying it on my lids and it gives me a sparkly sheen/ slight summer vibes. I used this color on my lids today since it’s Valentine’s Day. 💕💘 NARS - NARS Blush
Fav blushes for fair skin!
✨These 2 blushes are my absolute favorite my fair skin! I use them on myself & on my clients. One is shimmery & one is matte & they are different brands & price points! I love them both equally as they work perfect for my skin tone. ✨What are the claims? Laura Geller Baked Blush N Brighten creates a gorgeous flush, no matter the season. It starts as a cream 24 hour blush that is baked for 24 hours to ensure a smooth, lustrous, long wearing formula. In the shade Tropic hues, it has swirls of coral, pink & bronze. Mac Cosmetics Blush is designed by & made for professionals, formulated to provide fantastic Color with ease & consistency. Applies evenly, adheres lightly to skin to achieve a natural looking application of color. ✨The texture/Consistency of each is very different; the Laura Geller is very pigmented & easy to use, the product practically falls out of the pan it’s pressed so light! The Mac cosmetics, is harder to get out of the pan but pigmented just the same. ✨My thoughts? I’ve used both of these blushes for the past couple months & I love them equally! They both worth great & give me the best peach glow. My skin tone is very fair & these give me the perfect natural blush look without being too pink or too brown. I love using these ontop of my bronzer in the hollows of my cheeks for a glam look. I use them separate depending on when I want a matte or shimmery look. The Laura Geller is slightly more pink than the Mac cosmetics one. ✨Price Vs Size? Laura Geller is $29USD & Mac is $25 so they are a bit pricey but worth it!
