COLOURPOP - Yes, Please!
The colourpop yes please palette went above and beyond my expectations, especially for the price! This palette is very similar to the more expensive Natasha Denona Sunset palette. The colours are basically the same but for a portion of the cost. I have to say this is one of my go to eyeshadow palettes, the colours blend seamlessly and go perfect with my hazel eyes. I find that it has a lot of brighter shades, which makes it perfect for those summer night out, eye makeup looks! Its also super affordable which I love! Very pigmented eyeshadows with a beautiful warm theme. This palette gives lots of options to create warm looks with and has the perfect amount of matte and shimmer shades. COLOURPOP - Super Shock Highlighter
Another amazing product from Colourpop. I feel like they are really good at handling glitters. I really like this highlighter. The payoff is amazing. It’s very bright but I prefer to blend it out more for a more natural look. I love that it is versatile. It’s very bright but I prefer to blend it out more for a more natural look. I love that it is versatile. It’s amazing that the undertone is not too dark and it’s creamy and blends into foundation seamlessly. The texture makes it so its easy to make it natural looking or blinding! Highly recommanded! COLOURPOP - Lippie Stix
This is a LOVE-HATE product. I love the color and texture of this lipstick. It’s so comfortable to wear on the lips, never look or feel dry, and the color lasts a long time. The consistency is quite creamy and the thinness of the lipstick makes it quite easy for them to be applied. It is highly pigmented and the color looks amazing on me with a smooth, velvety finish it gives your lips a slight gloss, yet still stays put on the lip. However the plastic packaging looks cheep and it break easily. Mine is smashed, but I still keep it cus the color is so beautiful. Colourpop should really focusing on increasing they packaging quality. COLOURPOP - Ride or Die Crème Gel Liner
Kind of disappointed with this eye liner. The price is great but it smudged way to easy for me. I like a bold line but if you smudged this or was using for a Smokey eye it would be a great item to have for the price. Just don’t touch your eyes. I like that it is highly pigmented. It goes very smooth. The only thing that I don’t like is that it could break easily. It has a good value for money

Long time no post Cherie 😔 Honestly I gave up for a little because I had made it to 200 cheers within my first 2 weeks on the app but I didn’t make it on the leaderboard so I got salty 😭 ANYWAY, I’ve been trying out the COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Tinted Moisturizer and it’s everything I want in a tinted moisturizer! It’s infused with Hyaluronic acid, perfect fit dry skin like mine. It wears sooo well, doesn’t crease up or cake on me even if I don’t set it with a powder! It has a beautiful dewy finish on the skin and truly makes you look ✨ fresh ✨ which I love. The coverage is good for a tinted moisturizer! I’ll still go in with concealer and honestly it looks like a foundation. This was $14 I believe and it was well worth it! Can’t wait to try the matching concealer and foundation 💕

He want that cake cake cake 🍰 🎂
Hey Cherie Fam! 🍒 I attempted to do a Christmas look today with the cake palette from Glamlite, but I failed miserably. I used the shade “red velvet” thinking it would be red, but it turned out to be a fuchsia. My lids are supposed to be green, but it turned out to be teal so now this look turned to be a cotton Candy look 😢 Anyway, this is a great rainbow palette 🌈 but if you’re looking for a true red, there isn’t a shade in here. The shimmers aren’t a true green either. It’s not exactly primary colors of a rainbow palette, but I love the formula. To achieve this look, I used: 1️⃣ Red velvet and packed it all over the crease then I blended it 2️⃣ I grabbed a smaller brush and dipped in to cranberry to blend the edges of red velvet 3️⃣ I cut my crease and packed avocado all over my lid. This shade is from the burger slider palette 4️⃣ I placed cinnamon on my inner corner 5️⃣ Red velvet, cranberry and raspberry on the lower lash 6️⃣ Mascara and falsies. I used house of lashes in demure lite Check out out my Instagram because I’m doing 12 days of Christmas. I will be posting a look everyday until Christmas. Happy holidays all! Xoxo, Francesca

A Touch of Blue
Adding a touch of blue to a usual warm eye makeup to welcome winter. In my opinion, this is one of the best ways to play with “unwearable colors” on our faces. 1. Use a baby blue, Glossier. - Skywashin “Pool”, as the base color instead of my usual beige color. 2. Build the usual warm tone. I used the colors “Spoiled” (burgundy red) and “Big Cocktails” (peach) from COLOURPOP - Yes, Please! palette and COLOURPOP - Colourpop Super Shock Shadowin “Drift” (shimmer cranberry red) and in “White Rabbit” (metallic copper). Play with colors that suit you and create layers. Tips for monolids: use darker shades near your lashline and work up. 3. The blue pop with NYX - Epic Wear Liner Stickin “Blue Trip” (bright teal) and “Chill Blue” (shimmer icy blue). Place the color on spots you like. For me the pop always works best on the corner of my eyes because of my lid space (or the lack of LOL). 4. Have fun 💙

Lip 38°c +3°c lip gloss can be used even when you have cheilitis, and there are different shades to choose from. You can either use it alone or pair it with other lip products. It's really moisturizing and doesn't dry easily. It doesn't have a strong scent and is overall great for dry lips. The Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes palette features an ivory-cream, rose-gold, red-brown, and a transparent sparkle shade in the bottom left. Compared with the other palette, this palette can be used by a wider range of people and the shades are more suitable for everyday makeup. Beginners will have no difficulty using it. The powder is of good quality, and it's easy to blend and layer beautifully. My favorite is its sparkle shade which looks silky with a watery glow under natural light but becomes a delicate shimmer under fluorescent light. It complements the other shades and is not glaringly shimmery. If you don't apply eye primer, this eyeshadow can last about seven to eight hours.

Blush: Liquid or Solid?
Blush: Liquid or Solid?
Blush is a tricky thing to get right. You want something that gives you color, but doesn't emphasize skin texture. It can also be tricky to pick the right color. I compared two products I had: Urban Decay's Dracarys Lip & Cheek Stain, and my Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow's blush. For context, I always apply blush before setting powder. So that changes how it mixes with my foundation (Physician's Formula Super BB). I have worn both products on and off for about a year, and realized I prefer liquid blush to powder. Liquid blush, including Dracarys, blends easily into a liquid foundation base. It melts together to look like your own skin. 🌻 Even though Dracarys is a dramatic red color, I had no problems sheering it out across my cheeks with my fingers. With that said, I do think powder blush (my Too Faced one and many others I tried) are also easy to blend. It's also more comfortable to blend with a big fluffy brush on your cheeks than to try covering a big area with your fingers. You could use a Beauty Blender to blend liquid blush, but that sometimes soaks too much product. Still, the catch with powder blush is that it can easily look cakey if you don't use a light hand. 🍰 I remember testing my mom's Nars liquid blush in the color Orgasm, a similar peach shade to the Too Faced one, and finding it gave my skin a brilliant glow. 😌 Ultimately, what matters to me the most with blush is how healthy and vibrant it makes my skin look. 💫 So for that, liquid blush is the winner. 💫

Solid vs. Liquid - Eyeshadow Edition
Solid vs. Liquid - Eyeshadow Edition
Hello lovies! Today I’m bringing you Battle of the eyeshadow: liquid vs. solid! We all love our eyeshadows but have you ever stopped to think “hey which type of consistency do I really like 😳?” Well look no further because I’m bringing you some insight into my opinion on the matter! For some background information I have a light to medium skin tone with a pink undertone and I have oily eye lids. The fact that my lids are oily makes it tricky to find good eyeshadows! Let’s begin with Kosas - 10-Second Eyeshadow in shade Globe. This liquid eyeshadow retails for $28.00, slightly on the more expensive side. I won this item in a giveaway and it’s my first and only KOSAS item. This claims to be a 10 second eyeshadow, fast drying, and crease resistant formula. It’s a neutral champagne shade which is ideal if you’re looking for a natural makeup look! Now when I say this liquid eyeshadow is quick drying and long lasting - I mean it truly is! Even my swatch was difficult to wash off because this eyeshadow is so long lasting. I love that it is so quick to use and you get an amazing color pay off. Unfortunately the loops I had done with natural light could not be uploaded and I had to take new loops on a cloudy day. However, you can still see how pretty it is. Next, is my solid/powder eyeshadow COLOURPOP - Birthday Cake Super Shock Pigment Duo in shade Extra Sprinkles. This eyeshadow pigment is one of two that comes in the Birthday Cake bundle ($12.00). These are super cute and fun but don’t have the best color pay off as you would expect. This collection was a limited edition collaboration with an ice cream company hence the cute name and shade. As you can see in the last loop, this solid eyeshadow does not compare to the liquid shadow. You can also see how the both shades look on my skin tone but I believe they would look great on any skin tone. In the end, I have to say my preference regarding different forms of eyeshadow is the liquid form! Funny enough it’s my first liquid eyeshadow and I think I know what I’ll be buying with my Sephora gift cards now! It’s so easy to use and color pay is so extreme you would think your makeup is edited! Hope this mini review helps you in deciding which eyeshadow you prefer!

The Best and Mehs of Too Faced
The Best and Mehs of Too Faced
I am unashamed to love kitschy packaging. So over the years, Too Faced definitely drew me in. Most of their products have been wins for me, but I did find one dud + a trend. Too Faced - Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette Not every shadow in this palette is buttery or easy to blend (i.e. Cherry Cordial and Black Forest orest Truffle). But the nude colors are wonderful. Salted Caramel is still one of my favorite one-shadow colors of all time, and I use Semi-Sweet to fill my brows every day. Too Faced - Melted Matte-Tallics Liquid Lipstick (Shade: Sell Out) It has a very thin texture, and dries down super fast. it lasted through my 9-5 work day, surviving both lunch and coffee. It only started to break down at the end of the day, making it look like blotted lipstick. But for its opacity, it's definitely a fav. Too Faced - La Creme Mystical Lipstick (Shade: Pink Chocolate) A very balmy lipstick that goes on evenly and almost glossy. Smells like delicious lemonade, and the sturdy packaging makes it feel royal. Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara I have tried a lot of mascaras, and this one stands out for making lashes look feathery. The wand makes it easy to separate lashes evenly, and the thick formula makes them look thick from the root. Out of all these products, I only had one 'meh.’ Too Faced - Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette Now discontinued, but I think it follows a trend in Too Faced. Just like the Chocolate bar, the dark matte shades with sparkles are hard to blend and build up. The sparkles also seem to blend away... The brown shades like Peanut Butter perform well, but if you're going to get a product with Too Faced's strengths, might as well get an all nude palette.

Eyeshadows with a different texture—creamy or liquid?
Eyeshadows with a different texture—creamy or liquid?
Speaking of eyeshadows, powder is the most popular formula because these eyeshadows are usually easy to blend, and packed in a palette, really easy to carry. But in recent years, there are many different kinds of formulas released. I am a glitter person, so I really love the Super Shock shadows and Stila Glitter & Glow liquid eye shadows. Today I picked two with pink and purple undertone and blue glitters inside to show the differences between them. Let’s start with the cheaper one. The super shock shadow is a special formula from Colourpop, and there are several textures, such as matte, glitter and metallic. They are creamy powder with a unique bouncy-like texture. This color is called Party of Five, which is the 5th-anniversary limited shadow, but it is so popular that the brand kept it. It’s a warm burgundy shade with blue glitters inside. The pigmentation is great, and I think the best tool for this formula is your finger because it’s so creamy, and brushes can’t grab the color. And the undertone of this shadow is not too light, so I usually use it all over my eyelids and deepen my outer corners with a darker matte shade, and the blue glitters really pop out. The only weakness is that the longer you wear it, there are less glitters. Since it’s only $6 and can’t be used up in several years, I am still a big fan of this collection. For the liquid eyeshadows, I think Stila is one of the first several brands to release this kind of product. The first products basically only have big glitters inside, and then they launched several duo-chrome colors, and Sea Siren is one of them. This is a bright lavender shade with bright blue pearl glitters. It is lightweight and dries quickly with no fallout. The applicator is also soft and easy to use, and I always use my finger to blend the edges after applying on my lids. For me, this color is too light to wear along, so I always use it on the center of my eyes and as a highlighter on the tip of my nose. Comparing these two, the Colourpop one is more affordable and can be used alone, and the Stila one is shinier and lasting longer. I can’t give up either of them, and I think you can make decisions based on your budget.
