Kosas Tinted Oil Foundation
For starters : I bought this myself, I was in no way influenced by the brand in anyway. That being said I was secondarily influenced by instagram. I first heard about @kosascosmetics when many fellow bloggers were given PR. I reached out the the brand and got some samples of their tinted face oil (enough to figure out my shade). From the samples I liked how light and dewy the formulation was so decided to give the full size a try. I already had a medium dewy coverage foundation I liked (@tartecosmetics rainforest by the SEA water foundation) so I waited to buy it until I was out. The above photo is me wearing shade 3.5 with @supergoop unseen sunscreen as primer. After testing for a full week here’s my final thoughts. COVERAGE: Per the brand this is supposedly medium coverage, however I would definitely call it LIGHT. It helped some of my overall redness but you can definitely still see it. I also feel like it doesn’t cover hyperpigmentation well so I wouldn’t count it as medium. I tried multiple application techniques including anywhere from 3-10 drops blended with my fingers or a beauty blender. Using the beauty blender I definitely noticed less coverage as much of it absorbed into the sponge. However because of less product I was less shiny with this application. WEAR: I tested this foundation in a high-stress environment (my 15 hr overnight shift at the hospital). During this time I sweat, stressed, and slept. I did notice some transfer to my pillow as well as less coverage the end of the night. However I did like that there was never any caking and it defiantly looked like I wasn’t wearing any makeup. Overall: I’m going to return this. I’m already an oily gal so I don’t need the extra dew that this oil formula gives. I’m quite sad because I can see how if you are dry/normal this can give you a healthy glow with subtle color correction. I need more redness coverage in a foundation and this basically slides off my face. She feels nice and didn’t cause any breakouts but it doesn’t warrant the $42 price tag for what it does for me.

Color Correcting! 💚
I also got this product as a sample from Sephora. This is to correct your skin, i mean if you have any dark spots or any different in your skin. This would vanish it. I actually like the product, it’s not a must in my make up routine. I recommend this to any one who needs to cover something, you can use this and then like a concealer and then foundation!

BEFOR&AFTER of my fav 2 cushions
1. The new Giorgio Armani Designer Essence-in-balm Mesh Cushion features a blue compact case. It does offer a pretty good but natural coverage that evens out your skin tone, camouflages pores and imperfections, while giving skin a natural luster and brightness. The texture is a watery and very moisturizing. I have combination to oily prone skin with redness and some pimples. This cushion texture is comfortable on my skin and doesnt feel tacky. The formula is medium coverage, but feels light weight. Natural to satin finish. Barely to minimal oxidize. What impresses me most is that it stays on for at least 6 hours on my slightly oily skin. ( as we all know for the oily skin, just few products can last long) One thing need to mention is that its really pricey for the amount. lol 2. YSL ALL HOURS CUSHION FOUNDATION YVES SAINT LAURENT - All Hours Cushion Foundation I've been wearing this cushion for a month now and I'm really loving it. The cushion offers light coverage and blends into the skin very naturally. For reference, my skin has been blemish-free lately, but I'm still struggling with some blackheads. The cushion smoothed my skin out so I looked radiant in photos and the blackheads weren't visible even in a selfie-video I took. This one gives a light, non-oily, beautiful natural finished. This is the first time I never had to feel like I need to take off my makeup as soon as I am home. It's also buildable to give a medium coverage. All in all, this liquid cushion format offers good coverage, long lasting wear while SPF50 helps to protect against premature signs of skin ageing. One of my favorites is this red correction concealer. I use this for dark areas such as black circles, over small pimples and dark spots. IT COVERS EVERYTHING, if you blend it well! Top it off with concealer and my favorite foundation. I love it. Great and affordable corrector.

Today I want to take you quickly through my foundation stash. For some I don’t have enough, whereas for others too many. 😄 Promise to be brief, so let’s jump in. 💫 hudabeauty : very high coverage, I cannot use it on its own, but is brilliant combined with Lancome Ultra Wear, thank you for the treat iloveandreea 💫 lancomel Teint Idole Ultra Wear: light to medium coverage, buildable, give the porcelain kind of look, does not accentuate pores or lines, contains fragrance, but it does not bother me. 💫 bareminerals BarePro foundation: very long lasting, light to medium coverage, buildable, a safer option for those who don’t like fragrance, etc. Best suited for combo-oily skin in my opinion. Natural finish 💫 hera Compact Cushion, beautiful, awesome coverage, I have reviewed this, if you’re curious, I can tag you. 💫 armani Power Fabric, my fav high end foundation, I nearly finished a bottle and I have a backup. I have reviewed this as well. 🙌🏻 💫 bareminerals Blemish Rescue Mineral Foundation. Very high coverage, I think it blends really well with the natural oils of combo/oily skin. Initially looks matte, but turns into a satin finish. So easily applied with a BM brush, literally 1-2 mins and I am ready. I receive many compliments when wearing this.
