Deep Cleansing Scalp Treatment💆🏻‍♀️
Deep Cleansing Scalp Treatment💆🏻‍♀️
This season is my least favorite time of the year when I experience more itching than usual and flaking than usual. Do you feel the same especially at this weather? I also feel like I do have more hair loss than usual. This means its the time to detox the scalp. A scalp detox is more than just the shampoo and condition. Using a scrub helps buff away dead skin cells, unclog the pores on your scalp, and  clear toxic chemicals and  build up that hair care products leave behind or have built up over time from the hair follicles. The scalp massage is the easiest way to detox your scalp. How should I detox my hair? -Do a preliminary cleansing by washing your hair and scalp with water -Steaming your scalp can help unclog pores How often should I detox my scalp? A deep clean should be done periodically. However, detoxing is not recommended on a daily basis. You do not want to over detoxing your scalp. It also depends on your metabolism as well as your skin type. If you have oily hair like me, try a weekly detox. This is what I found out the most effective way for me. If you're prone to dryness skin type, its best to do it on a bi-weekly basis. OUAI - Scalp & Body Scrub This scrub contains high levels of antioxidants and protein. What's more? It also is rich in vitamins A, D, and E, making it a highly nourishing ingredient for your hair. The truth is detoxing and clarifying are just not the same thing. The purpose is to rid the scalp of unwanted and harmful toxins from heavy metals to excessive minerals and nutrients built up in scalp. The purpose of detoxing is not only for cleaning but also nurishing and helps the scalp to recreate a healthy environment for natural hair growth.

Sally Hansen - Color Therapy Nail Polish Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri X Jelly Belly Nail Polish Similarities: - Both are from Sally Hansen which is famous for their polishes and nail products - Both have two-color tones - Both have blue base Differences - Sally Hansen Salon Manicure has 14.7ml (0.5 oz) comparing to Sally Hansen insta-dry Matte 9.17 ml (0.3 oz) - Salon Manicure is $15 CAD vs Insta-dry Matte $8 CAD (almost double the other) - The Salon Manicure does appear to be more hollow, when actually apply it, you can tell that this one is super jampacked with holo pigment - After two layers, the salon manicure series is perfect set and ready to finish ( actually one layer is good enough, if you do want extra hallow pigment, you can go with a second layer) but the insta-dry matte series, it is not as clear as the other, and you actually need a third layer to get the perfect finish. - The formula is thicker in Salon Manicure, but the consistency is very good and fluid. And it doesnt dragging the brush. It floats super nicely across the nail. - My opinion - I personally really love the Salon Manicure. Although both polish are from Sally Hansen, this one definitely wins over the other in every area. I love the fact that you can see the formula is a two-toned color, you can actually see the color shifting when turning it into different angles. And it appears the same on your nails. It has a perfect combination of blue and purple with purple pearl shimmer to keep the nail going strong.

Detangle With Me! 🧶
Detangle With Me! 🧶
My hair was a hot mess. I have natural waves that aren't quite curly enough to be pretty by themselves. Every time before styling or washing my hair, I need to detangle my hair. I hate doing that. I felt like it was torture to brush it everyday. It was painful, stressful and feel like you are damaging your hair as well. And it is terrible when you actually see so much hair all over the place and feels terrible of losing so much hair as well. I figure this is the perfect time to share how I find out the best way to detangle my hair in my own way. And hope that would be helpful for you girls as well. Cus, trust me I know how much headache you are having. Fin a good detangling brush. You have to use a nice brush that help you detangle your hair. This brush I have here, I’ve been using it for almost a year. #Quo - Wooden Paddle Brush[products]#[FiveStars] This brush is my favorite wet brush on the market. It is not the best perfect brush, but, it fulfills all what i need from a brush. It bends just enough to let go of the tangles that would normally result in a snarl on a different brush. There are few reasons I love about this brush: 1. It has nice sturdy handle which makes it super easy to work with; 2. It has long bristles, this really helps to get into tangles and knots to help detangle. 3. This brush can also be used to define curls. 4. Easy to clean it's a 10 haircare - Leave-In Conditioner Spray Product And I also recommend using a detangling product - like this leave-in conditioner to help you work through. This leave-in conditioner has a very light consistency well actually watery due to its ingredients. It’s not sticky at all but smooths the hair right away after using it. This product significantly reduces the frizz. I’m surprised the natural airdrying still left my hair feeling very soft and shiny. The detangling properties are great, I can quickly tell if I forgot to apply it before trying to comb out my long hair.

All Natural Hair Treatment - Almond Oil Blend
All Natural Hair Treatment - Almond Oil Blend
Today I want to share some of my favorite natural and organic products with you girls. This is what I’ve been using and obsessed with. And I am excited to dive in deep into my favorite natural beauty brand. This is one of the hardest areas which I found was the hardest to switch to. Its been 2 years since I switch to clean beauty products. I have witnessed my hair has grown so much better and my friends and family members actually switch to organic hair treatment as well because what they’ve seen from me. And there are actually a lot more great products in market. I cannot wait to share with you my favorite ones. Aveeno - Almond Oil Blend Shampoo Aveeno - Almond Oil Blend Hair Mask Aveedo is my recent favorite hair product brands. I really feel like it really covered the basis for all the products I need to create a hair style and hair care routine. This shampoo and hair mask are my top favorite products from Aveedo. They are sulfate free Paraben and Triclosan Free. I picked them up at local walmart. Two products together were under $20. This series is formulated with oats. This mask is suppose to be an intense hydrator for your hair and help combat frizz. It basically is a thick white cream that you apply it after shampoo, leave it on for 3-5 minutes in the shower, rinse it out and style the hair as usual. I am using it for a once-a-week hair mask. First thing I like about these products is the price, I’ve tried a lot of products good and bad. But this is one of the good ones that are a lot more affordable. And it comes with this big bottle and jar that would last for at least 3 months. The formula is really great. It is a blend with natural almond oil. My hair feel so soft after using it. Also it did knock down the frizz a little bit. (not all of it) Another thing I like about this almond oil series is the scent. It is a really subtile smell and doesnt last long. Which also proves that there is no extra chemicals added.

I tried to portray the legendary Style of Audrey
I tried to portray the legendary Style of Audrey
Hollywood Star Portrait Challenge my girls! I have always been a huge fan of Audrey Hepburn for years. And have been wanting to try the elegance icon of Audrey Hepburn for a while. I know it is hard for an Asian face to create a look that similar to her since we have different facial features. I trying my best to portray her look just to show my passion and love to this great actress. There are several tips I found out that need to focus on when creating here makeup look, 1. Skintones. I have warm natural skin-tone while Hepburn’s is lighter and pale from the movie. So for this look, I went with a lighter foundation. 2. Eyebrows. Hepburn’s eyebrows are such a characteristic of her. They are very full-filled in and long. I do notice that her brow also have a very obvious arch which I do no personally have, so this is another focus on my make up. In order to create the same brow look, I am using a dark gel instead of a brow pencil. The texture of gel makes it easier to achieve a fuller brow. 3. This look does not need dramatic eye shadow. But since the eye is the most different and difficult feature for me to portray, I am using a dark shadow in my crease to make my eyes look larger. And some highlight on the brow bone. 4. Eye shape. Audrey have big round eyes. This is why I am here to use a dark brown shadow on the outer side of my lash line and slightly bring it to the lower lash line as well to round out the appearance of my eyes. 5. Thick but natural wing with black eye liner and fake lashes for bigger eyes. 6. Lip pencil + lipstick. Notice that Hepburn’s upper lip is rounded outwards and I am using a lip pencil as well as concealer to create the same shape. And we are done ~ I know I still dont look like Audrey ( 40% with the overall look + hairstyle? ) But it feels really good when you are actually portraying someone you are really into. benefit - Ka Brow Eyebrow Cream Gel ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Full Pigment Matte & Satin Lipsticks NYX - Slim Lip Pencil bareMinerals - BARESKIN Complete Coverage Serum Concealer

Detox Scalp Scrub For Healthy Hair + Scalp
Detox Scalp Scrub For Healthy Hair + Scalp
Do you have the same problem of detoxing brought by shampoo left over, dead cells, oils and crazy things leaving on the scalp? Now you should try this. I found this in Shoppers Drug Mart last month and I was shocked by the feeling and result. This is an absolute game changer as far as purifying/clarifying treatments go. As a scrub, it also sloughs off dead skin. NEXXUS - Clean & Pure Invigorating Detox Scalp Scrub This scrub has many benefits including deep cleaning hair and scalp and detoxifies, purifies the scalp. By removing chemical product buildup, this product can stimulates hair follicles by creating a clean and healthy environment for hair growing. How to use this? The amount needed for my thick medium length hair was surprisingly little. A little goes a long way, this jar will definitely last me a while Just apply it to the scalp as you do normally with shampoo, give yourself a good massage gently for 3 -5 minutes all over your head, then added a small amount of water to emulsify and continue massaging. You will see light foam gradually build up. Then rinse it out thoroughly to get rid of it. Since this is a scrub and shampoo all in one product, you dont necessarily shampoo your hair again after this. If you are concerned and want extra cleaning, go with a little shampoo before condition as usual. I can feel that this product purifies and detoxifies all at once. ( I use it on a weekly basis). And these days it has becoming a must-have for my hair routine. Overall, This is an amazing shampoo/scalp exfoliant. I love the factIts added so much volume to my hair. The price is friendly, it is a great value for the size/price. And apart from traditional shampoo, it's such a satisfying feeling to scrub your scalp and the product smells gorgeous.

Easy Beachy Wave Tip🏖
Easy Beachy Wave Tip🏖
Today I want to share a few tips on how to make sexy bohemia wavy hair withs salon finish.parting your hair is something you do everyday. To start curling, begin with clean towel -dried hair. Apply a coin size of heat protection on the hair. Remember we discussed how important heat protection is. AVOID SCALP! It’s not just the chemicals that is not safe to touch the scalp. We are only applying on areas to prevent from heat damage. (Im assuming you won’t burn your scalp with iron hah) Then just use fingers to run product from root to end. You can use comb to apply it more evenly. Normally I like to start up with 180℃, I try not to go to maximum temperature to burn my hair. Then next step is to pull the hair half way up. Section is just gonna make your curling easier and a better finish look. Tip #1. Start with small portions. You want the hair get evenly heated and you don’t want to spend the whole day doing your hair. Normally a good practice is try to get the bottom half of the hair in maximum 8 portions Tip#2 Start off with the root with the iron, then twist it around the iron and slide it down (curl up) and works the way till the end slowly and smoothly. In this way you will get entire strand from the iron. remember to do it all the way to the end. No hooks girls. We want springy curls. Tip# 3 Let the curl set on your iron no more than 15 seconds and let it cool down. And don’t forget the root! Tip#4 Wait till you finish the whole curling process, pray with hair spray, and brush it out in the end. It might look too curly at the moment but no worries it will go back through out the day (just like when you curl your eyelashes) the final step is to keep the curl a little big longer and when you brush it out together, it kind of put everything together for a more natural finish.Schwarzkopf - Osis+ Freeze Pump Spray 200ml Curling iron is hard to use at first. Its not necessary to buy an expensive iron. You can even use flat iron if you already have one. It’s more about practice. Remind me to share some tips to create curls with flat iron. Eventually you will figure your own way of creating a beautiful waves in your individual style and you will learn how to curve your hair correctly and effective. Good Luck!

Bleached no more frizz🧝🏻‍♀️
Bleached no more frizz🧝🏻‍♀️
I only bleached my hair once (years ago at the salon) and my hair went to crap for the following 3 months before I dye it darker. And it took years to recover. This picture taken is actually my roommate’s hair. And she did a fantastic job at maintaining her bleaching hair in that healthy glory look, so I’m stealing her secret treatment with you girls. This is not an add and I also tried this product myself and absolutely love it. This No3 Hair Protector from Olaplex is the secrete treatment.OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector This is an expensive product you guys. It is $28 USD for this small bottle. Only 100 ml. As far as application goes, you can choose to dump in your hair like a little bit or apply directly on dry hair. And in fact you kind of need more product to saturate your hair. And if you have long hair like my roommate, it will probably take one quarter of the bottle. And regarding the leave on time for this product, it is recommended at least 10 min. The best result after a few times of trying is for at least a couple of hours. You can put it up in a nice bun and continue about your day doing something work. And according to the reviews, many said its the longer the better and some may leave over night and have amazing result. I don’t think it’s necessary and it is to time consuming. After that you can just rinse, shampoo, condition your hair as usual. And towel drying your hair after this treatment and blow dry to 80%. It will give your the instant silky texture. And you would notice that you don’t even need straight iron to make it straight or serum. You can do this on a bi-weekly basis. And meanwhile there is less breakage because of the fact it is actually getting healthier. At the same time, less hair losses. This is a really great product and I strongly strongly recommend you girls give it a try!

Curly Hair Daily Routine
Curly Hair Daily Routine
Finally I found a topic that many thin hair girl or curly hair girl might be interested in, that is how to treat my curly hair. I was straight hair for years. I’ve always wanted to go curly because of the volume and big hair that I was always dream of. I personally hesitated a long time before go curly just because of the concern of washing and taking care of curly hair. And here comes my personal hacks! Curly hair gives you the volume and easy to get a style. It is even easier to create a beautiful bun comparing with straight hair. My hair care routine is a little bit different when I went curly. No worries it is not gonna make it harder, it’s just some tips to be noticed. You know when to wash your curls when they start to get way down when they really tingly and a lot more dryer than regular hair. It is important to wash it less often than you would with regular hair. Tip #1. Condition hair first. I did the same way before getting my curls. But with curly it even more important to detangling with conditioner. I also put it on my root cus I do have tangles there. And I would put 2 coins amount all over my curls Tip #2. Be extra gentle when washing it. And let hair mask to stay longer (at least over 15 min) Tip #3. Use a cotton towel to soak your wet hair, DO NOT RUB. ! You don’t want to create extra frizz to your hair. We want the healthy and bouncy hair. Tip #4. Put treatment on damp hair. Do not wait till completely dryOLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector -Limited Edition Tip # 5 Let it dry naturally ! ! This step is gonna make your hair look healthier and more shinny. Effect would double if you apply an oil. OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil Do not panic if you see a lot strands after washing. People lose 100 strands/ day, unlike straight hair you lose it over the washroom, your curls will hold them till you washes them. These are my tips for curly hair wash routine. Hope you like it!

Don’t Waste Your Money On These 💸
Don’t Waste Your Money On These 💸
I paid to learn my lessons. These nail tools are horrible! Please do not waste your money on these products. Sally Hansen - Insta Dri Nail Color I know this is a fairly cheap polish, so I didn't even bother returning it. I find these sticky and non lasting at all, And it goes on really runny, very watery like. Feels super cheap. I know the product itself is very cheap, but as a clear coat, it doesn’t worth a penny. The really annoying thing is that it chipping off in big chunks in less than 24hrs! I was so upset. I hate walking around with chipped nail polish. Overall, this product is affordable and there’s a large variety of shades and finishes to choose from. equate - Premium Cotton Oval These pads omg were so thin. When I first opened the package, I knew that they are not going to hold together. It is a cheap brand, and I only gonna use it for nails, and I notice that I just can’t. They fall apart very easy and leave cotton all over your nail. They leave SO MUCH LINT! There are little cuts in these that bend and separate when they get wet. What’s worse is that this pad shredded almost immediately when used with REMOVER. I would never buy these again - a total waste of money. Sally Hansen - Salon Gel Polish Acetone Remover I had never had them before it was my first time. I got this at target for 8.99. This is pure acetone. It works okay, however i feel like it dries my nails out. he smell is really strong if u leave the top open while removing your polish. Somewhat better than other acetones. I prefer to use a natural-ingredient-based product would be somewhat as effective. This remover is really hurting my skin and I believe the chemical concentration is too high. Feels like it may corrosive my nail. KISS - Quick Soak-Off Removal System Before making this purchase, I was very hopeful that this product would facilitate an easy gel polish removal at home, as I do the gel polish by myself. Meanwhile it can also help to avoid the time and extra money spent at the salon for removal. I was very disappointed in this product after putting much money into it. I tried or tested this product, left the product on for 15 minutes and nothing. I was expecting the polish to start to peel up. This literally did NOTHING. I can't describe how much it didn't work. And I did return it back.

Balanced PH & Clear Skin from Toner
Balanced PH & Clear Skin from Toner
Toner is always listed as the very first step in skincare routine. The texture is so light weighted and almost watery. Product from drugstore to high end range from $5 all the way to $200 + per bottle. Do we really need it? Is it worth it? And how to use it? With all these questions I had always have, today I got the solutions to these. Toners basically resorts the PH level of our skin. At the same time, it works to shrink the appearance of pores. It gives that quick and effective hydration directly on the surface of skin. Last but not least, it also works to take away leftover dead skin cells or impurities. Dead skin cells could clog pores that leads to bearkouts. Toners are tonic for skin. Although they are all water texture, different formulas in it are targeting different skincare concerns including cleansing, hydrating, brightening or exfoliating. Or maybe all of the above. They way toners work is to give a quick hit of hydration by taking the layer of dead skin cells. The best way to use toners is to use cotton pads to soak it, and apply it on the face by swiping outward from the sides of the nose and upward. It is very hydrating and calming. It is best to do it this way when you are actually use toners for cleaning to remove all the impurities. You can also use bare hands like I always do ( who actually have that time in a workday morning?). This way you just simply put in in the palm and then gently pad it in. Meanwhile you are not waste any single drop of your toner. These 2 are my favorite drugstore toners. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Micellar Cleansing Water Ultra and Makeup Remover I bought this toner recently, and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. It has a pleasant fresh smell and is very good for cleansing dry skin. I find it leaves my skin really velvety soft and without a trace of dryness. VICHY - Pureté Thermale Mineral Micellar Water for Sensitive Skin It is so soothing, lightweight and makes my skin so comfortable. The formula is very gentle and calming. Meanwhile it helps other skincare products absorb well into the skin without irritating my skin. This toner is completely worth trying if you are in the market for a new toner.

Pigmentation Spot Corrector 👍
Pigmentation Spot Corrector 👍
Eucerin Anti-Pigment Spot Corrector 5 mlEucerin - Anti-Pigment Spot Corrector This treatment is targeting hyperpigmentation, dark spots, uneven skin tone, sun exposure. It is more of a serum texture. I really like the design. It is like a pen with a plastic applicator brush Normally I apply this once a day before going to bed. Any scar or hyperpigmentation I typically don’t use it during the day to avoid expose to sun light. If I want to use it twice during the day I would use it with my vitamin C serum and 50 spf sunscreen. Product like this that are aiming for small areas of hyperpigmentation are typically high in concentration of formulas. Normally strong and effective. This one as well, a little goes a long way. You only need a little to be put on the dark mark/spot. I would say that when you apply it there is a strong tingling sensation but it isn't really unpleasant and you get used to it after a while. The hyperpigmentation around my lips have lightened significantly already, as well as my acne scars. People have asked why do I look different. So far I can visibly see my acne scars are getting lighter. I used this product know for about 3-4 weeks and must say this product does what it says. It did helped to reduce the appearance of pigmentation areas and spot. At the same time, it also helps for a more even complexion of skin. I would say that approximately 70% of the dark marks has faded. I will continue to use this with sunscreen over the coming months and keep you girls update. Would recommend for lighter spot fading.
