If you thought you can use any type of foundation and it would suit your skin, think again. I mean, you might, but if it’s really not for your skin type, you probably wont like it. And heres why: If you have oily skin you may want a foundation that is mattifying and if you have dry skin, you may want a foundation that feels hydrating and has a dewy finish. Whats more, if you have dry skin, you may want to opt for a liquid foundation because solid foundations like sticks and pots may not blend as well and can sit in dry areas and make your skin look creased. Similarly, oily skin gals may also like liquid foundations more because they are more easily blendable and don’t crease or sit in oily patches, but may also like sticks as well because our oils can help blend those out better. Also, coverages play a role in what you may like as well. If you have pretty clear skin, you may like low-medium coverage foundations but if your acne prone and have lots of breakouts, you’d like a full coverage more. I myself have combo-oily skin and like both liquid foundations and have found some foundation sticks to be quite nice on me as well. What I dont like is compacts or powders because I think they crease alot, but I may also may not have found the right one. My absolute favorite foundation right now is LANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation

Blotchy Foundation? We Don’t Know Her 🤪
The key to to a flawless foundation always, always starts with the base! Ive foundation what helps me get super-smooth application is hydration. When my skin’s hydrated, everything smooths and layers on like butter. 🌸 Warning: it’s extremely thick! So if you don’t like thick/heavy moisturizer, this is not for you. But I’ve found this to be the best moisturizer for under my foundation. COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream 🌸 After letting my moisturizer sink into my skin for 2-10 minutes (depending on how much time I have lol), I smooth this gal on. This is a new product by Too Faced btw! I just started using it and love it so far. And it smells like heavennnnnnn. Too Faced - Plump & Prime Face Plumping Primer Serum 🌸 Then I smooth this all-time fave on areas of my face that get super oily, like my t-zone and center cheeks. smashbox - Photo Finish Foundation Primer 🌸 Okay, I know opinions on this brand/foundation are polarizing and some people swear it’s the worst for your skin! But I SWEAR by this foundation lol. I’ve been using it since I was 15 and I’ve never found anything that compares. It is heavy and full coverage, but that’s what I like :). I apply it with a wet beauty blender. MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation 🌸 This one’s a no-brainer! A holy grail! tarte - Shape Tape Concealer 🌸 I actually use this as a spot concealer around my face for any imperfections poking through. Another product I’ve been using for years. It’s so creamy and amazing!!! MAYBELLINE - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer 🌸 I cannot live without this thing. I spray it all over my face after I finish the wet part of my routine and it melts everything together. MAC - Prep + Prime Fix+ Primer and Setting Spray, Original Soothing Herbal 🌸 I LOVE this eye powder!!!! I do have to say, it’s REALLY white. But I have super dark circles under my eyes and love that super light under eye look. I use a dry baby beauty blender for this one. laura mercier - Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes 🌸 I have really big pores that poke through everything and anything and this powder is literally the only thing that hides ‘em. It gives me the illusion of smooth skin while setting my makeup to last all day long. I know this sounds crazy, but I apply it with the same damp beauty blender I used for my foundation, just the clean side of it. Idk how or why, but it works! laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder 🌸 Best setting spray in the UNIVERSE!!! MORPHE - Continuous Setting Mist

BEST foundation 📣
I’m gonna get right to it. I personally think LANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation is better than ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation BUT they’re both good PROS OF TEINT IDOLE It has sunscreen, Double Wear doesn’t. it’s medium to high coverage and it’s buildable, so if you want to go natural, go natural. If you want your makeup to look beat, you can go high coverage too. The foundations is very versatile and you can use it how ever you want it has pump. Double Wear does NOT have a pump. If you want a pump for Double Wear, it’s $10 more. it’s vegan, cruelty and non-comedogenic. it’s transfer free sooooo if you wear white, it wouldn’t transfer or leave a mark like other foundations. it’s water resistant !! the colors were tested on thousands of women and Lancôme chose 95% of the colors that all women across the world have. If I’m not mistaken, they currently have 45 shades and there will be more to come!! CONS TEINT IDOLE it’s US $47 and Double Wear is $43. BUT they don’t charge you tax on the teint idole because it has sunscreen (ONLY IN TEXAS). Double Wear with taxes is around US $46 something. Same price basically and they’re both 1 fl. oz I don’t recommend for sensitive skin
What even is my skin type?
Am I the only one who struggles figuring out what skin type they are? I know you can buy products for certain skin types. But sometimes I feel like I am all the skin types! It changes all the time. Like my skin makes no sense to me. I cannot figure it out. And I struggle to buy the right products because of this. It’s so frustrating! Ugh! I don’t want to waste money on products that won’t work for me because of my “skin type” but I just honestly think I have the rarest skin... like sometimes it can be oily, sometimes very dry, sometimes very acne-prone... I just don’t understand what it wants lol. I do know that my skin is so incredibly sensitive, and I cannot stand it sometimes! It is so high-maintenance! I know I shouldn’t use too many products because that can also be damaging. I just don’t get it, I don’t know what to do! I have recently ruined my skin barrier because of buying the wrong products, and it really scared me! I was in so much pain and my face felt so so tight. Every product I used burned. It was awful! Does anybody have any advice? I am really struggling. 😏 I work so hard to keep my skin healthy and I often think I just make it worse! Such a waste of time and money buying and using the wrong products for me! I don’t have much money to spend on expensive skin care options... I have heard about some that are just too costly. If you are like me, recently, the only products that have worked for me and my ridiculously demanding skin are: bliss - Drench & Quench Moisturizer Walgreens - Daytime Facial Moisturizer and using the face wash CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser LANCÔME - Advanced Génifique Face Serum SheaMoisture - African Black Soap Problem Skin Moisturizer Also, the foundation I always come back to is LANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation it lasts me such a long time. I know it is kind of expensive but it is actually worth the money. It stays on longer than any other foundation I have tried! Also, if your skin gets oily throughout the day like mine, use their powder LANCÔME - Dual Finish Multi-Tasking Lightweight Pressed Powder Foundation the powder has lasted me such a long time too! It has been like 2 years and I still have it! Some of the products I have wasted money on and that I am not impressed with: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Pure Vitamin C Face Serum LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Clarifying Solution Acne Toner LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin I only used these for about 3 weeks so maybe I didn’t give it enough time, I just know that my face was so dry from the face wash and the toner, and they are supposedly good for sensitive skin.
COLORPOP Pretty Fresh Foundation ❤️
#COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation[products]#[FiveStars] I have been EAGERLY waiting ALL day to post this review!!! I wanted to really get a good test on this foundation so 9 hours later.... 🥁 roll please!!! 🤗 ABOUT THE PRODUCTℹ️ COST: $16.99 @ ULTA Foundation with medium but build-able coverage. Contains Hyaluronic Acid 🌟 for a skin perfecting , natural finish that also helps keep your skin healthy, and hydrated 💦WHAT?!? Yes 😳 craziness! Also contains coconut 🥥 water 💧 to support even MORE hydration and skin softness. Always prep with clean 🧼 face and normal skin care routine. Prep with a primer and says to use a beauty blender. For ALL skin types!!!🤗 MY EXPERIENCE ❤️🤗 Ok friends! I am NOT a foundation wearing human. At least not in the regular. I save it for SPECIAL occasions because my skin does not like it otherwise. AKA angry 😡 breakouts and clogged pores even with primers. Let’s begin with why I am in love! Upon application I found the liquid to be quite loose, it doesn’t hold a pile shape long before spreading out. Using a beauty blender I applied it to my face. At first it seemed a little yellow from my skin but after everything was set it looked WAY more natural and crazy super close to my skin tone! Which is crazy considering how I picked it. ℹ️⚠️ Side Note 📝 I used Ulta’s virtual try on tool!!!! Had to test it multiple times to be certain and if you are not standing in bright natural light 💡 it will not be correct. But dang! I ordered this foundation in LIGHT 50W and it’s perfect for me. How my skin feels??? From the time I put it on to now, I don’t really feel the makeup on my face. I normally feel my skin screaming to be cleaned 🧼! But this is VERY easy to wear. I have dry skin so that says a lot. I don’t feel clogged or dry. And I did not notice any oxidation with this foundation, which is from the Hyaluronic Acid I am sure. I honestly still feel flawless even after cleaning house 🏡 bathing my kids! I can tell I am wearing foundation when I look in the mirror but I didn’t notice much of, or any caking as the day went on. And my skin feels soft like as if I was not wearing makeup at all which I really love! ❤️❤️❤️ Also I did not use ANY concealer in this look except for eyelids. I just lightly baked under my eyes and that was it. Super impressed with how well the coverage is! Specially on my under eye darkness. Definitely will buy this again! Easy on the budget and the skin! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 ⚠️🤗Second pic is the 9 hr later result! ❤️
If your T-zone easily becomes oily, try this high-end setting powder😘
I can honestly say that I am a fan of powder collection, because I am very infatuated with pure matte makeup effect. So over the years, the most amount of cosmetics products I’ve purchased, must be setting powder. I have bought a lot of cheap powder or expensive powder. Today, I would like to talk about my favorite high-end powder, which is BY TERRY - Hyaluronic Hydra-Powder My skin is combination type. It may gets oily in summer, get dry in winter and neutral in spring and autumn. My T zone is more easily to produce oil, my pore issue is not very prominent, occasionally acne, generally wear makeup for half a day, and I live in southern China. This By Terry powder is not cheap. At $50, there are many other expensive brands of powder available. Why has this become my favorite powder of all time? Because it's really worth it! First of all, it's really the finest powder I've ever used. You must open the lid gently, or it will fly up like smoke, if you open it too hard, it will fly out a lot, and produce more waste. The texture is also light and delicate, and the effect of hiding pores is so great that the pores and fine lines can be filled, as if to give the skin a natural skin grinding filter. This powder contains hyaluronic acid essence, so it has a very good moisturizing effect. It can also be used in the driest autumn and winter weather. There is absolutely no risk of accumulation of powder, and it also will not absorb the facial moisture, at the end of the day, it will not make you skin get dry, either. However, it can also be used in the summer, although it has moisturizing essence, but the magic is, it is also has oil control effect, I can totally wear it for at least 5 hours in summer without touch up! The only drawback may be that the product doesn't come with a powder puff, which I usually use with my powder brush, but I also have a powder puff so that the excess doesn't fly out every time I open it. I will definitely buy back this powder, I have never seen a more versatile powder compared with this one, recommended!

Primers for oily skin
Everyone who knows me knows I have super oily skin. It’s probably the bane of my existence when it comes to my make up. I’ve been trying to find whatever solutions I can to help keep my make up on a little longer throughout the day. Sephora recently had a sale where the BECCA - Ever-Matte Shine Proof Foundation was only $27 so I decided to take a chance and purchase it. This primer normally retails for $39 and claims to target oil to mattify, blur, and prep the skin for long lasting make up. As you can see from the video I posted despite Becca claiming this primer is silky smooth it’s super thick! I had the hardest time even getting this out of the packaging. I also read from reviews on Sephora that this primer works best parting it into the areas you need it so instead of applying all over the face (which with how thick it is you wouldn’t be able to do anyways) so I targeted it on my T zone and pores. It definitely does mattify instantly. I feel like it blurs as well because it almost looks like a white caste layer of blurriness on the areas you put it. That being said foundation doesn’t apply nicely on top of it. It’s like you could see a distinct line in my foundation where I had placed the primer. It was quite obvious where the primer was making the foundation separate on application. For this fact I’m completely returning this to Sephora and I wouldn’t recommend anyone use. No matter how I applied it or where you get this separation that’s super unflattering. I feel like if Becca tweaked the formula a little it could be something great as it does mattify and blur but since it gives this odd white caste layer that sits on the skin foundation does lie on top correctly.
BECCA-Ever-Matte Shine Proof Foundation
This is my holy grail foundation! It is more of a matte finish, and will last all day for me personally, and is my everyday foundation. I always apply with a beauty blender. I have a few dark spots from sun exposure and it completely covers them up, and is extremely long-lasting! The only downside is that it can be a little difficult to get off, but a good makeup remover and cleanser should do the trick! I started using it about 4 years ago after trying a variety of foundations. I love that Estée Lauder Double Wear doesn’t break me out at all. Since I have sensitive skin, I get breakouts easily from other foundations I’ve tried. It’s definitely full coverage, but not even close to looking cakey. I highly recommend trying it out if you are in the market for a new foundation! #cheriecreatorESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation
