Loose waves hack

I have thin, naturally straight hair, and normally I just pass through my hair with a straightener just to straighten the kinks and baby hairs, but sometimes I like to switch up my daily hairstyle and give my hair a little body. I’m not that great at curling my own hair, and it takes a pong time, and sometimes I have the luxury of spending thirty minutes on my hair. I found this hair hack on pinterest and tried it a few times when I want to change it up- straightening braids 🤯 The end result is cute beachy loose waves and I accomplish a little change in my hair look ☺️ Notable products here are the UV/heat protectinf spray by Bumble&Bumble, which is a must before blow drying hair or straightening. This keeps my hair from drying and protects the ends longer so I dont get split ends for a while. The Dyson hair dryer is literally amazing- expensive, but you wont understand the worth until you try it. Its *chefs kiss* amazing. My hair straightener is Croc, really good straightener, doesnt pull out your hairs and gives you smooth, straight hair SO quickly. Finally, id you have greys like I do, Loreal magic root touch up is a lifesaver 🙌🏼

My Choice of Blow Dryer For Thin Hair
My Choice of Blow Dryer For Thin Hair
The biggest concerns for people with thin hair are to prevent further hair loss and thinning, and to create volume in the hair. I like to blow dry my hair instead of letting it air dry because I feel like I could get more volume this way. However, constant heat to the hair could lead to damage and create further hair loss and thinning. Therefore, today I will be introducing an affordable blow dryer that I have been using for years and is suitable for thin hair. Like I mentioned before, I have relatively thin hair, mostly due to constant bleaching and colour dying, but also genetics. I have oily hair roots, and that makes my hair look even flatter. On the other hand, I have lots of split ends because the bottom of my hair is thinner, dryer and more prone to breakage. Often my hair feels like grass because it is so dry and rough with many knots that cannot be easily brushed through. I have been trying to repair my hair through applying lots of hair products but I also noticed that it is important to use the right tools to protect the hair as well. Blow dryer is a staple in my hair care routine, as I almost shower everyday, which means that I use a blow dryer almost everyday. Hence, choosing the right product is very important to me. Currently, I’ve been loving to use the Remington model D3190 ($20) because it has multiple settings that can be tailored to suit different hair’s needs. It has three heat settings, from low to high, and three wind settings, from weak to strong. Lastly, it also has an instant cool temperature setting. Remington is a famous brand for affordable hair tools, at least here in Australia. The price is super affordable yet it has multiple functions and the product can last for years, I’d say it’s definitely a good bargain. How I use this product is that I turn on the strongest wind setting, while using medium heat. I would start drying from the hair root, which would create more volume and dry the hair quicker overall. Then I would cool my hair with the lowest temperature setting or the instant cool one so my hair does not overheat and get damaged. After years of using this tool, my hair loss problem has been reduced and it can help me get silky straight hair with volume on the top. I would recommend this to my friends and family. The design is also simple and easy to use.

Dry Shampoo Formulas - what’s best?!
Dry Shampoo Formulas - what’s best?!
I am a big dry shampoo fan and have been for years now but only within the last couple of years have I looked into the ingredients and formulation a little more and I was shocked at what I found. Most dry shampoos on the market list propane, butane, or isobutane within their first 3 ingredients...does anyone else find that insane?! Now, most aerosol sprays contain the same ingredients (hair sprays, texture sprays, etc) so keep that in mind. That being said, once I discovered that I was completely turned off by aerosol sprays in general but being an avid dry shampoo lover, I needed to find an alternative. So here’s what I’ve been using👇🏻 • Tiber River Dust a Do - this powder formula is Canadian made with only a few simple ingredients and I find that it works super well. It has a very light, fresh scent and with the addition of peppermint in the formula it has a slight cooling effect on the scalp. When using this one, I section my hair as I go and tap some of the product in then let it sit for a few minutes before massaging it in. This formula does a good job at absorbing oil but does not give the volume boost that is typical of traditional dry shampoos. But overall I love this stuff and have purchased it multiple times. • kaia naturals - Overnight Dry Shampoo this one uses “wing life technology” to propel the product up and out into your hair. So it does “pump” the product into your hair unlike the Tiber River one BUT it is quite messy (especially for beginners). This one is supposed to be dispersed into the hair at night and slept on in order for it to fully absorb oils and boost the hair. I do really like this formula and the fact that it has a pump without the yucky ingredients; the one thing I don’t love about this one is that it’s soooo strongly scented. • ogx - Kandee Pop Glam Mermaid Dust Dry Shampoo okay so this one does list the yucky ingredients right off the hop just like most other aerosol dry shampoos. I fell victim to marketing and pretty packaging with this one (and love Kandee Johnson who it’s a collab with) so I had to pick it up. I’ve actually gone through one of these and already purchased another one because despite the yucky ingredients - I truly do miss the traditional dry shampoo formula + dispenser. I try not to use this one as my daily dry shampoo but just for the occasional volume boost and it’s really good for that. I also loooove the smell, it smells like candy but not in an overpowering way! Overall, I would definitely suggest switching to a non-aerosol formula when it comes to your everyday dry shampoo because who wants to be spraying propane and butane onto their hair and scalp on a regular basis?! Do I think it’s okay to use aerosol sprays occasionally - yes. It’s really a personal choice and what you feel comfortable with for your body, my point here was just to showcase the different types of dry shampoo and their ingredients. Thanks for reading🤗

from stick straight | to beach waves 〰️ pt. 1
from stick straight | to beach waves 〰️ pt. 1
I’m still getting the hang of my new hair length, but one of my favorite styles already are these beachy waves! I use a ceramic styler from remington that seems to be discontinued, but there are a lot of similar options out there! my barrel is 1 and 1/2 inches, and I found it at target for really cheap. I get the best results on dirty hair, because otherwise my hair is too poofy for my liking. as such, I love the NOT YOUR MOTHER'S - Beach Babe Texturizing Dry Shampoo because it is both a dry shampoo and a texturizing spray. it smells great and is under $5 for a huge bottle. that being said, I’m not crazy about the grit or lack of longevity. still, it does the job fairly well. I’ll be uploading the video showing the actual curling process in pt. 2! p.s. thank-you for all the recent follows! I love being on this app and seeing all you here being so kind and supportive puts a smile on my face! ♡ #cheriepartner

Lazy to clean your hair every day? This is for you!😍
Lazy to clean your hair every day? This is for you!😍
Lazy to clean your hair everyday? This is for you! My hair is a little bit oily but the end of hair is kind of dry, and I believe that most of people have the same problem with me. Honestly, I’m not a diligent girl, and I heard that we can’t wash hair everyday if we have long hair, cause it will take away the protected cover of our hair, and makes the hair dryer at the hair tip. In this case, my hair will not seem that fresh and airy the second day after washing hair. What do we do if we have to meet someone at once? This time, you need something quick and efficiency. I heard of dry shampoo many years ago, and have tried a lot of products, but my favorite is KLORANE - Dry Shampoo with Nettle Oil Control. This is a French hair care brand, and they also have many great shampoo and hair care products. How this product works? This hair dry shampoo also contains powder that likes other dry shampoo, and it use this dry powder to absorb the oil from the scalp. The spray is smooth and even, and it is not white powder but pink, so that the powder is not very obvious on the hair. How to use it? The method of using it is very easy. The only thing you have to do is press the top, and rub the powder in hair until it totally spreads evenly. I forget to say that there is a tip. When you spray the powder, remember to cover your face or nose and mouth, because I always think that this tiny powder will be inhaled in our body. Just in case. Is this product works well? After applying this powder on hair, my hair looks loose and fresh. It likes that I just finish a shower, and have used a really good treatment. This dry shampoo will not make the hair look dry, but with glowing effect. I feel that my hair looks smoother than it looks before. This is a not very popular brand, but I highly recommend this product if you are a lazy girl like me. You will be surprised!

Stubborn orange/yellow tones?!
Stubborn orange/yellow tones?!
So there’s only so much a purple shampoo can do right.. I’m naturally red underneath the blonde constantly trying to find ways around these orange and yellow tones I naturally have coming through my fresh blonde. Have got every purple shampoo/been through under the sun and they do work for the ends and to lighten the already blonde pieces however not for the harsh orange steaks that seem to love coming back Nordic blonde cancels out those orange tones and leaves your hair ash white again Leave on for 2-3 minutes or depending on how the desired look you want 5 maximum. Schwarzkopf - Nordic Blonde T1 Icy Platinum Anti-Yellow Refresher Mousse CON: PLEASE USE A HAIR MASK/HYDRATING CONDITIONER AFTER AS THIS CAN BE DRYING TO THE HAIR!!!!

5-minute braided updo for short hair 💅🏼
5-minute braided updo for short hair 💅🏼
So I don’t like to spend a lot of time on my hair, mostly because I’m not very good at doing my own hair 😅 I like quick, easy ‘dos I can whip up in minutes and this is one of my favorite for when I want to wear my hair up but still look cute! This hairstyle consists of basically three small braids secured to the scalp with Bobby pins, it’s very easy to do and perfect for shoulder length hair or even a bit shorter! I like to start with unwashed hair since it has more “grip” and will add just a bit of my favorite non-aerosol dry shampoo: Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo I love that it makes my scalp feel clean and adds even more texture so it’s easier to work with. You just need to part your hair into three parts like shown in the photos, braid it (you can do French braids or regular braids like I did!) and form 3 small buns with the braids et voilà 👌🏼👩🏻‍🍳 I know mine looks messy af BUT I don’t like my updos to look ‘too perfect’ specially if I’m braiding my hair since I feel it adds a bit of an ethereal touch lol 👼🏻 and also probably bc I’m traumatized from childhood when my mom used to braid my hair into perfect, pristine little braids 😂 It literally takes me five minutes to style my hair like this and if you add some accessories like pearl hair clips or flowers it looks absolutely adorable!
