Cream Cleanser

Over a lifetime of alternating/combining cleansers that were either too harsh or too mild (the plight of having acne-prone but sensitive skin), my face was either calm but congested beyond belief OR clear but inflammed if you looked at it wrong. I present to you a pH balanced cream cleanser that has both oil esters and water-based cleansers that doesn’t break the bank*: 🌸 ACURE - Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream
I use this every night and it completely dissolves my mineral sunscreen & and any mascara I may have on without stripping my skin. There was a noticeable difference in my skin texture and clogged pores when I switched to this from from my mild hydrating cleanser—even my mom told me that it looks like I’ve found the one 😭 Only con is it really smells like you’re snorting a peony but I’ve been forcing myself to enjoy it *Just had to say that I’m fundamentally opposed to spending $$$ on a cleanser (or spending a reasonable amount on a < 3 oz cleanser). That stuff is on your face for 1 min tops and then goes down the drain. Plus, a cleanser < 3 oz will be gone in 2 seconds if you’re washing your face 2x a day.

A Cure For Reactive Skin
I have been on the hunt for the right cleanser to help with repairing my barrier ever since it was destroyed. A little while back, I decided to try a "clean" cleanser (see my first post) and it ended up just being full of essential oils and heavy fragrance which pretty much fried my face. I came across ACURE - Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream totally by accident and was a bit hesitant to try another "green" skincare product. But! I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this cleanser. It has just the right amount of creamy foam and even after doing a double cleanse , it did not burn or dry out my face. No inflammation. No redness. It's beautiful! I think I can finally say that my barrier is on its way to recovery. I would recommend this for normal/oily/sensitive skin. Dry skin that can handle foam cleansers would benefit from this too. I will definitely repurchase this and look forward to trying some more of their products.

New kids on the block
ACURE - Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream I bought this cleanser to replace The Ordinary’s Squalane Cleanser, which I used as the first step of my AM routine. I love the TO’s Squalane Cleanser but wanted to try something new. My first impression: I absolutely do not like the way this cleanser smells. However, it’s getting the job done and it doesn’t strip my skin so I’ll use it up but won’t repurchase. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Oatmeal Mask I do like this mask! Its incredibly soothing but I don’t love the texture. This mini was less than $5 at TJ Maxx and was great for giving it a try. I’ve used it three times already and still have more to use. I probably wouldn’t pay for a full size, but it’s been worth the small price tag! The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution This is my favorite new item! I’ve used it twice and both times my skin felt so silky smooth after. I’ve been building up to using it for longer periods of time. First, 4 minutes then 5. This peel is super powerful so I’m trying to be cautious - shorter amounts of time and only once a week for now. Definitely would recommend! I don’t even think I need to consider repurchasing yet because it seems like it’ll last forever 🙃

FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser As I’ve said before I have super oily, acne prone skin that’s extremely picky about what products it’s going to like. I picked up this sample size of the Farmacy Clean Bee gel cleanser last year expecting very little, and I am never going back! This is a lovely gentle gel cleanser with a delicate botanical smell, formulated with hyalauronic acid, chamomile, and amino acids for even the most sensitive skin. This formula manages the fine line between leaving your feeling squeaky clean, but never stripping. After use my skin feels clean, plump, and calmed. My only “complaint” about this product is this price (which is my only complaint with Farmacy products), but this mini size has lasted me over six months of continuous use, which means the full size would last even longer. I would recommend this cleanser to pretty much anyone; but ESPECIALLY to those of you with sensitive or acne prone skin. A godsend! #CherieCreator #cleanser #skincare

ONE LOVE ORGANICS - Vitamin B Enzyme Cleansing Oil + Makeup Remover I'll admit it, the first time someone told me I should be adding oil onto my face, I was skeptical. Sounds counterproductive for someone with an acne prone, oily T-zone, no? Well, two years since purchasing (and repurchasing) the One Love Organics Botanical B Enzyme Cleasing Oil, I'm here to admit I'm a believer. This all natural, incredibly smelling little baby is my favourite way to end my day. What I love about it: ✨ It removes all of my makeup - yup, you heard me: even the waterproof mascara...and I layer that stuff on thick to the gods, honey. ✨ Using an oil before any other skincare product allows it to penetrate the surface, getting all that good stuff into your skin so it can start working it's magic. ✨ It's non-stripping and soothing as hell; this leaves you feeling clean, but not tight or dry like so many makeup removers tend to do. ✨ This brand is synthetic fragrance-free, cruelty-free, and dermatologist tested. They're one of a select few brands to become ECOCERT® certified...AKA, 95% of all ingredients must be naturally derived and no less than 50% of them must be organic. You know you're getting that good good. I'm a huge stan for One Love Organics and what they're all about: no bullshit, clean, organic skincare. Love to see it. 🖤 Are you guys into oil cleansers? How about organic skincare? What are some of your favourite products? Leave some recs in the comments for me! 💪🏻

{gifted} 🌙 how does this have 12,300 reviews and 9,000 5 stars on Sephora. I was totally blown away by the reviews and really just satisfied by the product. its just a facewash. if you have normal or sensitive skin you might say, hey this is great! it isn’t stripping... but it isn’t that hydrating either, so sorry dry skin. and it ain’t gonna help much with acne or oily skin. i think it is a good makeup removing wash, and that is about it. didn’t blow me away, but i would recommend it to normal skinned folks. 🌙 my skin im very oily and acne prone with tan skin and lots of scarring/discoloration 🌙 the product philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser retails for $25 for 8oz 🌙 ingredients meadowfoam seed oil, rosewood oil, coconut alcohol 🌙 did you love this product? let me know! im curious as to why people advocate for it so strongly

Aveeno Clear Complexion
Aveeno Clear Complexion
Slowly changing my skincare routine bc my current brand is not doing it for my skin. I used: Aveeno - Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser for the first wash Aveeno - CLEAR COMPLEXION Cream Face Cleanser With Salicylic Acid for the second wash Unfortunately haven’t started using any other new products (waiting for some to arrive) so I won’t list what I finished my PM routine with. Unless you want that? Anyways, I have oily/slightly sensitive/acne prone skin and the foaming cleanser was so gentle. The cream cleanser really left my skin feeling cleannn!

One of my all time favorite cleansers
One of my all time favorite cleansers
TROIAREUKE - Acsen Oil Cut Cleansing is one of my all time favorite cleansers that can act as both an oil and a water based cleanser. It was created using a micro-emulsion technology to ensure a gentle cleanse that removed all types of impurities including excess sebum. It contains key ingredients such as lichen extract for antimicrobial properties, papaya fruit water for gentle exfoliation, aloe for calming, and portulaca extract for moisture retention. This has a runny gel texture that easily glides across the skin as you massage it around to gently remove makeup, sunscreen, and everything else from your day. This does have a sweet fruity scent due to the inclusion of fragrance in the formula but it hasn’t irritated my skin or caused me to breakout. This cleanser comes from their acsen line which was created for acne and sensitive skin types. I love this all in one cleanser because of how effectively it cleanses my skin of everything without disrupting my skin’s natural moisture barrier. My skin just feels soft, fresh, and hydrated after using this every time. You can use this as a first and second step cleanser or your only cleanser in your routine since you can skip double cleansing when using this. I enjoy using this morning and evening as well. I’ve found that this also definitely helped with my acne because I noticed less breakouts whenever I use this. I’d recommend this to all skin types but I’d patch test just in case you’re sensitive to the added fragrance in this. Overall, this is a cleanser that’s in my top 5 gel cleansers and I plan to continue repurchasing it. My only gripe is with the price since it’s a little pricy for the amount you get but there’s usually a buy one get one free promo that comes along 2-3 time a year so that easily makes up for it since I stock up when it happens. Have you guys tried this yet? If so, any thoughts on it? Rating: 5/5 🌟 #CherieCreator #Troiareuke

CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser-oily skin friendly?
CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser-oily skin friendly?
Here's the tea. I got acne. I got oily skin. I got uneven skin & want to ditch all those blemishes! This baby helped a ton. I originally got the guts to buy this after watching the king of skincare..Hyram himself! I wanted to find the foaming facial cleanser BUT my drug store didn't have it so I settled for this! It works so well. My skin doesn't feel as oily & it's very refreshing. I absolutely recommend this product for dry skin as well! When I don't use it notice that my skin kinda goes through withdrawal. I've actually been using it for about 3-4 months! And of course I want to continue to use more CeraVe products to target my acne, but right now...imma stick with what's working ♡︎
