✨ what I use INSTEAD of FOUNDATION ✨
🌊 I gave up foundation in the middle of college, partially out of laziness and partially because I decided my skin was okay without it.
do i have clear skin? HECK NO.
do i fake it well? HECK YEAH!
🌊 my skin type: oily and acne prone. My skincare routine is all anti acne products and oil reducing products, with a bunch of scar and dark spot reducing products as well. (pls see my profile for skin posts)
🌊 how i do it
1) prime
Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Smooth & Poreless Matte Screen SPF 40
SPF is important and this one fills in pores and mattifies skin for smooth skin. while the product itself isn’t clear, there is no tint or white cast
2) conceal (the key to the look)
SEPHORA COLLECTION - Clear and Cover Acne Treatment Cream Concealer with 2% Salicylic Acid
this concealer contains the active ingredient of salicylic acid, which is anti acne and anti oil. I use this on active spots, scars, and any discoloration. Usually i have to hit darker spots more than once and take care to blend well. this tube is in the shade HONEY which is almost exactly my skin tone.
3) set
Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder
kill all shine and pores with this tinted setting powder that blurs out my skin. i let my most oily parts bake for a little bit, like the areas next to my nose. it adds any additional coverage the concealer didn’t get
4) bronze

i give myself fake cheekbones with a little dash of this cult classic below my cheeks. always take care to blend super well!
5) brows

I'm obsessed with Pattern Beauty
So.... It's safe to say I'm Pattern Beauty STAN! the Leave-in Conditioner is literal CRACK. Now I'm loving the Curl Gel too. WHEW! TRACEE!!!!!!! You did your THANG with these products. Although the conditioners aren't my fave when it comes to the slip that EYE personally like in my conditioners to help me detangle, they're still good for moisture.
Have you all tried PATTERN? What are your favorites? Should I do a video/reel on here with my thoughts on all these products?

these are my current hair products. I also listed them in the order I use them.
1. SheaMoisture - Coconut & Hibiscus Hair Masque I use this once a week.
2. PATTERN - Leave-In Conditioner My favorite leave-in conditioner.
3. PATTERN - Curl Gel Its lightweight yet a strong hold.
4. Levor Signature Hair Mask - this is intended to be a hair mask, but my hair and scalp love it as a finishing oil. This is an oil so it's very unique. I recommend checking out this company's hair products especially if you have natural hair. this is the website levorhair.com

I found a really great self tanner for my face that I use on a daily basis. It is by Jergens and is the natural glow face daily moisturizer with sunscreen. I have been using this for a while now and found it gives a natural glow and does not cause acne. JERGENS - Natural Glow Healthy Complexion Daily Facial Moisturizer
This product is a daily moisturizer with self tanning properties and has an spf of 20. I love to use the medium-tan one for an instant glow whereas the light-medium one gives someone with my light skin tone a much more gradual glow and color. I tend to use this in the morning because of the added spf but I recommend wearing an additional spf underneath or on top of this moisturizer to protect your skin better.
It is very hydrating and creamy. I love to wear this throughout the year because my skin is dry during every season. I honestly love it as a moisturizer and the self tanning effects as well as the spf are added bonuses. I have gone through many bottles of this and I even use the body lotion for a gradual tan as well. I have been using this product almost consistently for 4 years.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who prefers a creamy moisturizer over a gel or lotions as someone who doesn’t mind the self tan smell in their self tanning products. I find it the be fool-proof because the tanner is evenly spread throughout unlike when you add self tanning drops to a moisturizer. It does not fade streaky on me like most other self tan products but it is very natural.
It is from the drugstore so you know it is affordable and there are always cvs coupons to save even more money. I pack this with me whenever I travel because I cannot be without it.

I’m currently and FINALLY ready to stop being cheap by ridding my Pantene and Garnier hair care products!!!! I’ve heard great things about the function of beauty custom shampoo/conditioner and also the ogx argan oil of Morocco shampoo/conditioner.
I’m just not sure which one is better to be honest and I’m looking for all/any opinions and recommendations.

Do This If You Love Your Hair Color!
I love changing up my hair colour to all kinds of vibrant colours, however, they never seem to last long enough. Before, I didn’t know any tips or had any knowledge on preserving hair colour, as a result, my hair couldn’t even last one week. That was very unfortunate since I didn’t even have time to fully appreciate my hair colour, it is already gone.
Today, I bring you the tips that I have discovered throughout the years of dying my hair that helped my hair colours last for over a month so that you won’t make the same mistakes as I did.
One of my lightest hair colours that was also most difficult to preserve was silver. I had to bleach my hair twice and then colour it to silver. Since it is so light, it was gone after only two washes when I first had this colour. Therefore, for the second time, I used De Lorenzo Nova Fusion Intense Colour Care Shampoo in the colour Indigo, which is a special shampoo that preserves hair colour.
It is such an amazing product that I regret not using sooner. It adds powerful blue-violet tones with a slight hint of red to my hair. I love this colour care shampoo especially because it is surface and paraben free and is formulated with increased dye intensity that keeps my hair colour bold and vibrant. It also contains UV inhibitors and colour enhancing extracts of Kakadu Plum, Roobios and Birch. I realised that UV is one of the biggest reasons to cause my hair colours fade quickly, therefore using a product that helps block UV is very effective,
Second tip I would give is to use cold water to wash your hair and to wash your hair less frequently. Hot temperature like the UV also causes hair colour to fade faster, therefore, decreasing the temperature and the frequency of your hair being washed can make the hair colour last a lot longer!
my wfh hair
working from home has definitely been an adjustment, especially when it comes to my morning routine! my hair has been growing INSANELY LONG over the last few months and i’m getting to the point where i don’t have to groom it as much! at this point, all i do nowadays is use a little product (my fave is KRISTIN ESS - Depth Defining Water Based Pomade ) and scrunch my hair! and it air dries SO NICELY! who else is busy growing out a buzz cut during WFH??

Hack to clean makeup brushes
I had never heard of cleaning your makeup brushes with Zote laundry soap before until I saw this hack on tick toc.
I thought I’d give it a try I saw several videos where they just place the soap in the sink and rub the makeup brushes over the soap bar and rinse them.
That seemed like a waste of soap to me.
Then I saw the video below where they put the zote in a glass jar and I thought that would be quarantine project & a cute idea, and would save on waste

Materials needed to make your own jar
1): Zote laundry soap $1.00
2): Small Glass jar or container
3): boiling water
4): vegetable peeler or vegetable shredder
Steps to make your own jar
1): Use a vegetable peeler to slice the zote soap
In thin slices
2): put slices in glass jar or container of Choice leave room for water
3): Pour boing water over the zote soap I stirred mine a little. Then leave it, The video said a hour and half but I let mine dry overnight.
To Clean Make Up Brushes
1) wet brush & rub over zote soap in jar in Circular motion.
2): rinse the brush under running water rub Bristles with your fingers until the water runs clear and repeat step 1 if necessary.
3): get a old cloth and lay the brushes flat and let them dry.
I highly recommend this hack it was easy and my makeup brushes look brand new and smell great.

hairstyle tips for a square face☺️☺️
hello everyone! today i am here to talk about how your face and hair relate, and how you hair can completely change your face! i have a very square face, (it may not appear so much in the picture because of my contour), and have always struggled with it.
my hair itself is very thick, long, and straight. also, my hair is colored. it’s just highlights, so its not as if all my hair is dry. my hair is also very fine, meaning its REALLY hard to style and NEVER stays curled. so, even though waves is usually better for square faces, i keep with my naturally straight hair.
as i said, my face is REALLY square. i have a very sharp, square jaw, and a big square forehead. if your face is similar to mine, here are some styling tips for you!
try loose, choppy bangs
loose choppy bangs have changed my life! they look a little uneven, so they help to make your face look a little less harsh and square. also, they hide your large forehead!
use your hair to cover the sides of your face
this also works for round faces! you can use your hair to hide the sides of your face, so it hides the squareness and make your face more oval.
make an asymmetrical part
asymmetrical parts help to soften your look and not make everything look so harsh and straight
try side bangs
side bangs also help to hide and soften a square forehead!
try some waves
waves can help soften your whole face, and make your face and jaw look less harsh
