OMG I HAVE EYEBROWS NOW
OMG I have eyebrows now! I’m all about natural looking beauty. A few years ago I had a terrible allergic reaction to eyebrow tinting which caused most of my eyebrow hair to fall out (after growing them out for two years 😭) I still have some scarring from the whole incident so there are some bald spots that just won’t grow back. Filling in has been pretty obvious UNTILGlossier. - Brow Flick ! It takes some practice but my goodness it looks so natural. The key is taking your time and using LIGHT pressure. Practice on your hand first! I have natural black/dark brown hair and I use the brown color. I have recently started using eyebrow gel first to shape the hair and then fill in the patches that are missing. It takes time but it lasts ALL DAY. This stuff is nearly waterproof. It’s incredible. MAYBELLINE - Great Lash Clear Mascara

enhancing beautiful skin ✨
Loving the skin you are in is hard . As my skin cleared up throughout the last year ,I realized that I really like having a little makeup on : on my eyes ,on my cheek ,on my lips. I am experimenting with this no makeup makeup look and I had those glossier and colourpop products perfect for trying something that has become a little routine in the last few weeks 🙂: on the lips : First ,I apply COLOURPOP - Lux Lip Oil in the shade skinny dip,it really moisturize the lip and I put on top of that the COLOURPOP - Lip Tint Kit in the shade gimme s'more to add more color on the cheek: Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color in the shade puff. I dab it and blend it with my fingers . I sometimes put a little on my eyes to act as a little pop of color in the crease on the eyes : I admit that it's not my favorite products because they are not the most pigmented and the shimmer can be messy ,but it's so easy to apply and be done in five seconds. I use two shades of the Glossier. - Lidstar Duo one in the shade fawn on the outer eye,it brings dimension and a grunginess to the look , and the shade moon on the lid and the inner corner for more brightness All our skin journeys are different and important. It is vital to share it and be proud of it because we are all beautiful . As long as you do it for you ,then you're proving how amazing you are ! tourlou 🪐

My Updated “No Makeup” Makeup Routine ✨
Hey Cherie Fam! 🍒 I’ve been trying to find the perfect no makeup makeup look lately and I think I finally found the right combination for complexion products to use. I’ve been on a hunt lately and have been trying to find the perfect tinted moisturizer, sheer foundation and a setting powder. I used Glossier Perfecting Tint in G7 all over my face and the Stretch Concealer in G8 for under the eyes. For cheeks, I used Glossier’s Cloud Paint and mixed Puff and Haze then set my fave with Becca Light Shifter finishing veil in Star Hugger. The result is a natural dewy finish. My skin looks like skin, but luminous. You can still see my imperfections such as acne scars, but my complexion is evened out. I am also glowing ✨ I think going for the cloud paint made me look even more “effortless” rather than using a powder blush. When I apply powder blush, you can see it sitting on top of my skin which is a huge sign that I’m wearing makeup. Not necessarily a bad thing, but you don’t want that when you’re going for the “I woke up like this” look. Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint Glossier. - Stretch Concealer Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color BECCA - Light Shifter Finishing Veil Setting Powder For my eyes, I used 3 eyeshadow shades. I used my Natasha Denona Mini Nude Palette. I used Quoin all over my crease, Lumino on my lids and Soil as an eyeliner. On some days I leave my lids bare. I still do like to go heavy on the mascara. NATASHA DENONA - Mini Nude Eyeshadow Palette For the lips, I like to keep it bare. I have extremely dry lips and I try not to put anything on them as much as possible. I just use Kosas - Kosasport Lipfueland a nude hydrating gloss. COLOURPOP - So Juicy Plumping Gloss I never knew that looking “naturally pretty” and “effortless” is actually so much work! It still took me a good 15 minutes to get this whole thing done What does your “no makeup” makeup routine look like? Xoxo, Francesca 💋

MY CLEANSER COLLECTION : CRUELTY-FREE
here is a post detailing my collection of vegan + cruelty-free cleansers that i’ve used in the past year. for context, i have oily/combination skin that is not sensitive to fragrance. for basic cleansing/makeup removal: cocokind - Facial cleansing oil i purchased this about a week ago. the oil itself works well to remove even eye makeup, however it is CLEARLY scented which i don’t like for removing eye makeup. also, the pump for mine is either super clogged or doesn’t work at all, as i’ve struggled a LOT with getting any product out sadly. i will continue to try using it but would love recommendations for how to fix it. VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm i really did not like using this. i used it about three times but even that was too many for me. the texture is great but the scent is so overpowering and it is not eye-safe. also, it made my skin very dry and irritated after using it. i don’t use this anymore and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with dry or sensitive skin. philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser i have used this for about a month and i love this!!! it has a very light fragrance which doesn’t irritate me, it removes all makeup (even waterproof) with ease, it does not foam, and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry!!! Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Cleanser i have been using this one for less than a week and i do find myself reaching for it very often. it has no scent and foams evenly and nicely without leaving the skin feeling dry. it also removes eye makeup very well which is a bonus!! specific treatment: THE inkey LIST - Salicylic Acid Acne + Pore Cleanser i have used this for about a year and it’s my favourite acne cleanser. i have reviewed and spoken about this many times, but it is fragrance-free, foams lightly, cost-efficient and super effective yet gentle. love!!! e.l.f. - Superclarify Cleanser i purchased this on a whim and have used it periodically for the past few weeks. it has niacinamide in it, but due to the effects of using it being more long-term i don’t have much info on it. it is scented (lightly, in my opinion) and foams with a nice cooling sensation on the skin. it has not left my skin feeling dry or stripped and is pleasant to use. PACIfICA - Kale Detox Deep Cleaning Face Wash i bought this about two or three months ago and used it for a week straight daily. it left my skin feeling dry and i ended up breaking out pretty severely after using it. it smells like kale and it foams a lot. it is eye-safe but after my experience i wouldn’t use it near my eyes again. i haven’t used it since the breakout. hope you enjoyed! #cheriecreator

VERSED + PHILOSOPHY : first impressions
i recently bought VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm and philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser , and i have a few initial thoughts after having used them each a handful of times: VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm this is my first oil-based cleanser, and subsequently it is gonna be a little weird. i do like the almost-vaseline texture of the balm and how my skin feels after removing it, but i resent the smell and that it is not eye-safe. i would love a recommendation for oil-based cleansers that are, if any! philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser i really like this one so far. it has a creamy consistency and super-light fresh smell. i have very sensitive eyes but experience no discomfort when using it around them, and it removes all makeup with ease. i’ve thought about buying this for ages and i am so glad i did! i hope you enjoyed ;) please be sure to follow here and on my IG @chloebrk.mua #cheriecreator

My Differin Journey (9 weeks in and STRUGGLING)
Hi all, Around the first week of December 2020 I decided to start trying Differin Adapalene Gel to address my skin concerns. As some of my previous posts explain, I’ve struggled badly with oily skin, blackheads, extremely enlarged pores, and occasional acne, most of my teenage years and into my adult life (I’m 26 now). I have tried SO many products to try and help curb my issues (see previous posts for examples), and though they’ve helped a little, I’ve never been fully satisfied with the results... my skin is just stubborn! I decided to swap my retinol for Differin to see if it would target my issues a little bit better and JEEZ has this been a journey so far... So to be completely blunt, I’m discouraged. If you look at the attached photo, the picture with all the acne is me NOW. Yes, RIGHT NOW. The one WITHOUT explosive acne is my BEFORE Differin skin. Okay, now I’ll get into it... So it’s been about 9 weeks since I’ve started on Differin. In the beginning I noticed my skin was starting to feel really sensitive, which it never is. Any other product (Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, etc.) felt like burning when I put it on, which is incredibly strange for me. My skin has been consistently pink ever since. I immediately stopped using any BHA, AHA or any harsh acid while using Differin and made sure to SLATHER on reparative moisturizer to help repair my skin barrier. Basically my skin routine needed to stripped to the bare minimum. Throughout the weeks, my skin flaked and peeled excessively, especially with makeup on. It looked SO dry and awful and felt stingy underneath (still does). Then about 3 weeks in, the purging started. It started off slow and erupted to where it’s at now on February 11, 2021. Purge pimples are so strange compared to my sporadic cystic acne bumps I’m used to getting. Purging shows up in a big breakout cluster of pimples, mostly small (not always), but definitely painful and brutal looking for me. Over the weeks it just got worse and worse. I’m getting pimples all in the same place for the most part — my lower cheek areas. It has been tumultuous and my skin has never looked this terrible in my whole life. I’ve done my research on Differin, and everyone says it is completely normal for your skin to get worse before it gets better (for me, A LOTTTTT worse). I’m hoping this is true because I really want to stick this out — I’ve already gone through the worst of it, might as well wait it out a bit longer. If you’re interested in Differin, just be prepared for what you’re getting into! I’m sure this will all be worth it but wanted to share my experience and help others with the SHOOKness that may or may not happen. I will definitely share updates in the future with hopefully better results! Anyone try Differin before? Was it this hard? Did your purging last this long? Words of encouragement? Thank you!! Dewy and flash- friendly Natural Makeup
I’ve always loved fuss free and natural looks so im sharing my go-to no makeup look that you can do when you’re on the go but still want to look purrty🍭 it Cosmetics - it Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF 50+ one of my fave natural bases as it has no flashbacks, and decent dewy coverage, long-lasting on my oily skin and has spf50! Loving the pump bottle too which is mess- free and travel- friendly. benefit - Benefit Tinted Cheek & Lip Stain i love this color on my medium skin tone and its very long lasting too very apt for mask- wearing times as they won’t rub off easily and this stays rain or shine. A tiny dot goes a loong way too and i use this for my lips and cheeks. ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade i lightly dip my brush for that natural look on the brows and top it with.. PATRICK TA - Major Brow Shaping Wax i could see why this is a hyped product and it stays a long time too. Only con is you need to find the technique that works for you especially on how wet the brush should be to scrape the wax off and deposit the right amount on the brows. innisfree - No Sebum Mineral Powder i use this to set my makeup and seal my undereye concealer. It also doubles as a dry shampoo! L'ORÉAL - Telescopic Waterproof Mascara i see why this mascara is very praised and it’s because it stays on when you want it on and gives that covetable lashes for dayzzz NYX - NYX Retractable Eyeliner i use the beigey color to open up the eyes by putting it on the water line. It glides on well and stays put i have no complaints.. MAC - MAC Eyeshadow in cork. I use this for the nose line and as bronzer on the go. I love that it’s matte and taupey and also long- lasting with the packaging perfect for travel. NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer i use this as my undereye and blemish concealer. For the undereyes, i smudge a little peach cream blush, usually NARS - The Multiple in Siam. Just a litttttllle bit to serve as corrector before the concealer. This also avoids the reverse raccoon 👀 MAC - MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ Finishing Mist this serves both as my priming and finishing spray and i love that it serves its purpose but yet to find a cheaper alternative because im aware that there may be a nice dupe out there.. 🤔 Thats it! Excited to know your no makeup go-tos too!🍬

MAKEUP TIPS FOR LARGE PORES
So, since I have oily skin, my pores tend to be a little larger and more obvious. However, there are a couple tips and tricks to making them look smaller when I put makeup on - here’s how I do it. ➡️ Use a clay mask on the night of your event This is also an important one. It ensures that you don’t have any excess sebum in your pores, making them look larger than they really are. I would highly recommend doing this, especially if you’re doing makeup for a special event and need your pores to look smaller! ➡️ Ensure skin is super hydrated So if your skin is very well-hydrated, it’s going to be much plumper and full of water - this makes pores look smaller as the skin kind of presses together more, reducing the look of pores. If your skin is feeling dry or dehydrated, your pores will look more visible - so ensure your skin is super hydrated. ➡️ Use a pore-filling primer I like to use Maybelline Baby Skin, but there are many filling primers out there! The tip with this type of primer is to tap it into the skin, instead of spreading. It will (temporarily) fill the pores to create a smooth surface that the makeup will go over, creating the illusion of zero pores. Don’t worry, this doesn’t block pores - like the rest of your makeup, if you’re using a proper makeup removal method then you have nothing to worry about. ➡️ Always use a setting powder Setting powder, well, sets your makeup in place AND it helps to minimise the look of pores by creating a matte finish over them. They don’t get a chance to reflect light and show their true texture - making your skin look poreless! Full look product list: MAC - MAC Eyeshadow Sable MAYBELLINE - Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer wet n wild - Photofocus Liquid Matte Foundation KISSME - Kiss Me Waterproof Lengthening and Curling Mascara LUCAS' PAPAW REMEDIES - Lucas' Papaw Ointment Lip Balm innisfree - No Sebum Mineral Powder

Black head removal while you sleep!
PEACE OUT - Pore Treatment Strips is the easiest way to fight blackheads while you sleep! Function: This product is oil absorbing strips infused with pore-refining actives that prevent blackheads and minimize the appearance of large pores. Targets: All kinds of skin types but specifically those with oiliness, enlarged pores, and acne and blemishes. Texture/Consistency: It is a strip that goes on a little tacky but not painful! Notable Highlights: It’s free of paraben, sulfates, latex, and phthalates. OPINIONS 💫 I really like this product but I wouldn’t say it does everything promised. It does take off blackheads, and absorbs A LOT of oils. One of my favorite parts is that it doesn’t not move around when you sleep, even for face sleepers like me! I have super sensitive skin and have never experienced breakouts or adverse reactions with this product. That is something I’ve run into with pore strips because the removing can leave me skin extremely red and marked - this does not! I also recommend that for better results you steam your face before and then pat dry with a towel. It opens your pores and lets the strip do the rest! I would recommend this product if you’re looking for a nice addition to your never-ending black head removal journey- haha. PRICE: It is $20 and you receive 8 strips, four are specifically for your nose and the others can be used anywhere else on your face. I tend to use it on my chin and cheeks! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

(PEACE OUT) PORE TREATMENT STRIPS
PEACE OUT - Pore Treatment Strips are gummy-feeling pore strips (as opposed to the drug store ones that harden like paper mâché that we all know and love). there are nose strips and then there are straight strips for the chin or forehead area, both of which you apply to the face, let sit for a little bit, and then peel off to remove excess sebum and dirt or "blackheads" from the pores. while some people are vehemently against pore strips, i love them. i consider these “blackhead removing treatments” because in MY opinion, NOTHING else works like these!!! some products that you apply to the face (serums, masks, etc) do help a little or over time, but nothing gives instant anti-blackhead results like pore strips! i've tried these ones out before, and while i don't think they're revolutionary pore strips or anything, they're pretty good. they work well and i have no complaints about them, but the regular pack has 4 nose strips and 4 straight pore strips for $19, which i think is a bit much when the drug store ones do the same job for way cheaper. i'd only recommend these if you have money to blow on pore strips. 3/5 stars

I WILL NOT REPURCHASE
For 2021, I have made a resolution to no longer purchase makeup and skincare from brands that are not cruelty-free. Subsequently, I have unfortunately had to abandon about half of my makeup and skincare products. While it is sad to give up products I loved and used for so long, I can’t bear the thought of continuing to purchase makeup from brands that do such horrific things to animals. I would rather take the time to research ethical dupes than to continue paying these companies to mistreat animals. Pictured are some of what used to be my absolute favourite products, and below I will list a handful of (predominantly drugstore) brands that are not cruelty-free. I know there are plenty more, so please feel free to add them in the comments. Skincare: La Roche Posay Avene Vichy Biotherm Neutrogena Pond’s L’Oréal Garnier Nivea Cerave Makeup Maybelline L’Oréal Revlon Benefit Estee Lauder i hope you enjoyed ;) please be sure to follow here and on my IG @chloebrk.mua #cheriecreator

What to do with products you don’t like 🤷🏻‍♀️
You ever bought a product because of the brand you really like??? But somehow it doesn’t work for you. It happens to me all the time. I really love the Biosilk brand and I have been using their BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Original shampoo for long times so thought this leave in conditioner would the same. Turns out it didn’t now. I still feel bad throwing away a good product also because I paid for that. Thank god my boyfriend is ok with using everything I don’t like to use anymore 😍🤗. It works on his hair and he love it 👍👍. It’s a win win situation 💕🙏

Drugstore v. Luxury Foundation
Is it me or is it always a struggle to find a good foundation?? anyone? well guys, here we go! I usually try to match a foundation stick with a liquid foundation or a creamy concealer with a matte foundation! In the purple sweater photo, I’m wearing MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation & Glossier. - Stretch Concealer ! I’ve haven’t used maybelline in *years*. I used to use it in high school literally every day but decided to take a break and dive into more luxury, clean skincare... ...which leads up to the photo in a black pullover, I’m wearing ILIA - True Skin Serum Foundation & Milk MAKEUP - Flex Foundation Stick which I’ve been using the last year and a half but when I’m really dry on my face (mainly during winter), my face starts peeling ☹️ I think that’s it’s mainly the MM stick ugh but the verdict? both wear and stay very, very well throughout the day & feel SUPER weightless ~however~ I will probably stick with the maybelline foundation for now since I’m not wearing full face makeup everyday and the glossier concealer but don’t knock Ilia & the MM stick because both are really nice for a more sheer look but it is a bit $$$ I love going back and forth on both combos. I really need to try maybellines concealer due to cost to glossier’s but man oh man glossier’s stretch concealer is probably the best concealer I’ve tried thus far! 👏🏼 I hope this helps anyone trying to decide on a drugstore or luxury brand! both are great and definitely worth trying! I love having both options, especially depending on the need of the type of look I’m going for ✨ happy Monday, Cherie fam! 🌝

hey!!! i’ve struggled with this strange looking acne for the past few years and have only just discovered something called fungal acne which i think it may be. pretty much no acne products have ever cleared it. across my forehead are tiny little bumps, although they’re not white heads, never get bigger, and most are not blackheads. i’ve recently started using Nizoral - Anti Dandruff Shampoo after reading good reviews that it clears fungal acne, however yet to see much change a week later. has anyone experienced anything similar or had fungal acne before? would really appreciate any advice or recommendations 👼🏽💛🧚🏽🤍

Acuvue Oasys Transition Contacts Review
Acuvue Oasys Transition Contacts Review
Creepy eyes right? Here’s a review of my experience with Acuvue Oasys with Transitions contact lenses. I never knew these contacts existed so when I heard of them I was super excited to try them out! I hate wearing sunglasses, but I spend a lot of time in the sun (working outside in Florida) so it’s terrible to not wear sunglasses. I always liked the idea of transition glasses, but I pretty much only wear contacts so it never seemed worth it for me to get transition glasses. These contact lenses are designed to act exactly like transition glasses. They are meant to look normal when you are inside/not a sunny area, and gradually darken when you go into the sun. This is supposed to prevent you from squinting and hurting your eyes so much in the sunlight. These are prescription contact lenses you have to get from the eye doctor. Although they look like novelty contacts in my before and after pictures, they are not simply colored contacts. Not only do these contacts offer sun protection, but they also claim to help you see better when driving at night (no haloes or starbursts from lights) and give you blue light protection from electronic devices. Sounds amazing, right? Unfortunately for me I didn’t find them amazing at all. First, the contacts are slightly darker to begin with so if you have light eyes you may notice a slight brown circle around your eyes. It’s not super noticeable though, I think I was the only one who could tell. Second, they are nothing like wearing sunglasses. A plus to them is that even when they transition it’s not like you can tell things are getting darker. The world should look normal to you, just not make you squint as much and should help you see a little better. I was trying really hard to notice a difference with these but I just didn’t. I was still squinting, and driving at night wasn’t any different either. I’m sure these do offer protection, but they just weren’t worth the extra money in my opinion. Also, as you can see in the picture, you may look slightly possessed when these get to their full darkness. If this is the look you’re going for then they’ll definitely help! These do have a lot of great reviews so they must be helpful for some people. Since I got them for free, no harm done. I would definitely recommend asking your eye doctor if you can get a free trial of them (also check the Acuvue website for coupons). These may be helpful and totally worth the extra money for some people! Good luck!

Castor Oil? How U Use It And How It Works
Castor Oil? How U Use It And How It Works
I’ve been on a hair growth journey for a while now. Back in 2018 I cut my hair shoulder length. My hair was originally to my butt. I used a lot of heat on my hair in the beginning of the school year 2019. I got really scared because my hair started smelling burned and I had splits ends it was getting bad. So during stay at home I kind of lost track of my hair but I hadn’t used heat on my hair at all. HERITAGE STORE - Castor Oil This oil is super super thick!! I recommend using this oil before you got to bed and use a shower cap because it leaves your hair super greasy. When wake up and wash your hair. This Product was at the most $8 at Target HERITAGE STORE - Castor Oil Castor Oil is AMAZING for hair growth!!!
