Accurate Update! 3 months in
hi everyone!!! i know my skin is far from perfect and i’m going to have to treat my scars on my temples and hyperpigmentation, but i’m literally pinching myself i can’t believe how much better it looks. the left side of my face has NO active breakouts. what?! i can not believe how much accutane can change your skin in a matter of days! looking at my last post, 1.5 weeks ago, it feels so good to see a big change. my right side chin area had a few breakouts, but they are healing now! current side effects: ⚡️ joint pains in my knees especially ⚡️not too much dryness, except for my lips and eyes, and my nose peeling ⚡️awful headaches, but i take ibuprofen when needed (you can not take acetaminophen on accutane) ⚡️extreme fatigue, which sucks right now because i have an overload of school work :’( changes i’ve seen: ⚡️ smaller pores ⚡️ less painful cystic acne ⚡️ quicker healing breakouts overall, i am 3 months in, and this is the first time i am feeling like i am feeling like i am finally at the phase where everything is up from here. hopefully i don’t jinx it by saying that haha! i am not sure if this huge difference is from the VERSED - JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum

I am a huge skincare lover and love to try out ingredients and brands. Check out my collection and my favourite brands and products. Favourite brands: Versed: this is a brand that I have tried many products and they have worked well for me. This is a drug store brand that is mid range. It is cruelty free and eco conscience, going so far as to state the percentage of usage of recycled material and having recycling instructions on their website. My holy grails are VERSED - PHOTOS, PLEASE BRIGHTENING TIGHTENING MASK and VERSED - Doctor's Visit The ordinary: this is a great brand as it is super affordable and it’s cruelty free. The way I like to benefit from this brand is to try out ingredients to see what works for my skin, their serums are my favourite. My holy grail is The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% The Inkey lists: this brand is similar to the ordinary but I think some of their formulas are better. They focus on ingredients that allow me to find the best ingredients for my skin, they are also cruelty free. My holy grail isTHE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant Serum Cosrx:this brand was my introduction to K-beauty and they are very accessible through Amazon ( also cruelty free). They focus on the primary ingredient that is either natural or chemical. My holy grails are COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and #Cosrx - Full Fit Propolis Light Ampoule[products]#[FiveStars] Brands with 1-2 favourite products: First aid beauty: this brand focuses on healing the skin with the incorporation of oats which are amazing. My holy grail isPAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 Pyunkang Yul: this is a K-beauty brand that started in a medical clinic and focus on short ingredient lists. I love that they are pushing the bounds of skincare (cruelty free). My holy grail is NIOD - Modulating Glucosides
I need some advice!!
Hi everyone! This is my first post & don’t have a lot of followers so if you see this please help if you can or share so that more people can see it! I am a teacher so I have to wear a mask all day everyday and I am getting fungal acne on my forehead from it. It has never been an issue for me before wearing a mask continuously for so long and I’m looking for some products that will either help it or at least won’t make it worse. I know there are some ingredients I need to watch out for but I would love some product recommendations if you have any! I started using the Nizoral shampoo and I am seeing some improvement from that. I have also been loving the Versed Just Breathe serum for other ‘maskne’ issues! Thank you for any suggestions or advice!
⚡You CAN'T miss it if you have acne scars!⚡
After using up two bottles of SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Gel in over two months, my skin problems have finally improved! My conclusion: It helps to lighten acne scars, improves skin damage, and soothes skin flushing. It's very suitable for oily, acne-prone skin and sensitive skin. I have oily, acne-prone skin and suffer from constant acne breakouts. My skin also flushes and small bumps develop during the change of seasons. I've been searching for products that can lighten acne marks. Finally, I found it! SKINCEUTICALS - Phyto Corrective Gel Hydrating Botanical Gel The light green liquid looks weird but its very lightweight, is absorbed easily, and smells like fresh cucumber. When I first started using it, I felt my skin becoming more elastic and its moisturizing and soothing effect was more obvious than its effect of lightening acne marks. I use it once every morning and evening, 4 to 6 drops each time, applying it on my skin and massaging it into my face for a minute or two. As for the lightening of acne marks, the average skin cycle is 28 days and I only observed the lightening of acne marks after using up the first bottle. Now I'm on my second bottle and the results are even more remarkable. My skin tone is now more even and whitened, and my acne marks are no longer obvious. A basic foundation can pretty much cover them up. I am sooooooooo pleased with the babe and would 10/10 recommend it to those working to get rid of acne scars! Have you ever tried it? Share your stories! 😊😊😊

My Fav All in One Serum
Krave - Great Barrier Relief When I first ordered this product, I was suuuuper unsure how my oily skin would react to it; I’ve been using oils for awhile now but always ones that are more suited to acne prone skin (rosehip, hemp seed, etc), so this one was a little scary! To my surprise, it’s one of the most beautiful and light oil-based serums I’ve EVER used. It really does have everything your skin could possibly need, especially if your skin barrier is compromised. This stuff absolutely saved my skin when I went a little too crazy with exfoliating (oops😂) and using only this product, my skin was back to normal after a day. I can even wear this in the morning, although I do prefer a slight sheen to my skin even tho I’m oily, but it’s perfect as a stand alone moisturizer or to be used under a heavy moisturizer at night time. It really is like you’re giving your skin a big hug!! It does all the things and more, and I will absolutely continue to buy this, once it’s back in stock 😭

You might already know that Sunday Riley UFO Facial Oil is my holy grail for treating any kind of acne: blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, cysts, you name it! But then, I saw beaute defile use this Paula's Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster as a spot treatment in one of her Instastory. That's enough reason for me to give it a go! So what is it? Paula’s Choice Azelaic Acid Booster is a multi-action booster that suits all skin types and targets acne, hyper-pigmentation and uneven skin tone. It includes 10% concentration, but it also incorporates other ingredients like 0.5% Salicylic Acid and other brightening plant-based ingredients. Research has shown that a 10% concentration is gentle enough but still can improve many of the visible imperfections. Azelaic acid is a naturally-occurring ingredient which is present in the skin. It can also be derived from grains like wheat and barley. It helps acne by regulating the production of keratinocytes (skin cells), which prevents them from building up and clogging your pores. It also supposed to help fading dark spots that acne leaves behind as it selectively target the hyperactive pigment-producing cells. The formula is lightweight and has cream-gel consistency. It's smooth and not grainy, which means it's formulated properly. It spreads quite thinly and absorbs really well as I didn't have to worry about it pilling up. I’ve been using it for a month as a spot treatment at night. I apply it before my moisturizer, message it directly to the acne and let it sink in for few minutes until it doesn't feel tacky anymore. I also don't feel any sensation at all on my skin when I apply it. I found this product helped to make active acne come to a head just in one night! And it seemed to work really well on deep painful cysts. They are much smaller, less painful, and they disappear in just a few days instead of a couple of weeks. It works the best when you put this on as soon as you feel the cyst rising. Here's the best part: no. flaky. skin! However, I didn't notice any improvement on my acne scars yet. The other great thing about this product is that it’s seriously affordable!

TOP 3 FOR ACNE PRONE SKIN
1. BLUME - Meltdown Oil for Acne-Prone Skin wow. Wow. Wow. She’s great. I use this product as a spot treatment directly on active spots. Also on budding cystic acne she breaks it down pretty quickly (1-3days it’s GONE). I’ve seen others mix in with moisturizer - my skin needs to soak this product in separately in order to actually gain the benefits of a moisturizer afterwards. I use this twice ++++ daily and I have NOT burned/over dried. Highly suggest if you have acne prone skin/combo/mild cystic acne like myself. The scent/colour is purely a result of the natural oils inside* 2. The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% THE BEST VIT C serum I have tried. I mix this in with a moisturizer in the morning/evening and damn what a glow getter. I’m on my second lil bottle and will continue to repurchase as not only the price point (which is a bargain at $10) but the very real benefits are astounding. Again, doesn’t dry me out. Helps immensely with uneven skin tone, REDNESS, dark spots/lifting acne scars. You will see results over time, remember exfoliating serums/products take weeks!! Just a few drops will do!! 3. The Ordinary - Retinol 0.2% in Squalane This was my first time introducing a retinol to my regime (hence the very low %, if you’re beginning I suggest this). A game changer. As I’ve reached a point with my acne where I feel it’s relatively under control (knock on wood) I felt I could begin a retinol and not fear the wrath of burnt broken skin. I have deep set wrinkles on my forehead/crows feet (thank u astigmatism) and use this product 1-2 times a week exclusively at NIGHT depending on how my acne is doing. My face does have a slight warmth to it directly after use but I promise it is not a slow burning of your skin. It is simply the retinol doing its job and driving blood to the surface for collagen production/cell turnover. This is another product where results take weeks to become visible but like anything skincare related, it takes its sweet time. These are my HOLY GRAIL products. My skin simply cannot survive without them. I hope some of the info was helpful/informative!!!
The Ordinary-Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%
Why niacinamide is my holy grail ingredient...
Okay so this product is a new love for me. I need to delve into a story time for you guys... So last year I started using The Ordinary’s Niacinamide 10% + Zinc serum after hearing rave reviews from people with cystic acne and pimples and it gave me CHEMICAL BURNS. Horrifying experience all around. So I ditched it, and swore off niacinamide forever... That is until I tried the Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask which has a high-ish concentration of niacinamide...and it didn’t break me out. So then after a while of only having niacinamide in my routine in that mask, I thought I should go with a higher quality niacinamide formula and ended up splurging on the Paula’s Choice 10% niacinamide booster: PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster My skin type is sensitive, rosacea acne-prone, and before I used this product I had insane “orange peel” skin texture where the majority of my pores live. Wait wait, back up: what does niacinamide even do???! Well, it reduces sebum production in the skin which in turn makes your pores appear smaller but this is usually only with the use of a BHA to keep your pores cleaned out. I use this product mixed in with a hyaluronic acid toner or serum immediately after cleansing both AM and PM daily. This is the product that has made a huge difference in my skin texture the most. I am still wondering what is different between the Ordinary’s serum and this one, but I am never looking back! I would recommend this if you’re looking to “treat yo self” on a formula and you have orange-peel textured skin. This is kind of pricey at $44 for .67oz but when you’re only using a few drops a day, it lasts a very long time. I have been using it for about a month now and I am barely 20% through my bottle. I have to rate it 5/5 stars for my experience with it!!
PAULA'S CHOICE-10% Niacinamide Booster
“This concentrated next-generation serum is built to help keep oil and pores under control while minimizing shine. Oily skin has met its new warrior. Our results driven combination of ingredients includes niacinamide – to aid in oil regulation, provide a skin barrier, and help improve the appearance of enlarged pores & uneven skin tone, and our berry complex- a triple action threat to oil & acne prone skin to help limit sebum oxidation, protect skin’s natural barrier, and help moderate irregularitites in tone.” performance | .8 star | wow am I regretting not taking this with me in my travel bag! I’ve been using this for a month and half, but since I didn’t take it with me my forehead has the worst breakout ever this week 😠 my skin wasn’t used to coming back to this humidity and got all gunked up, on the road to recovery texture | .6 star | it’s pretty thin, but dries up almost too quick sometimes like sinks into my hands before I can get it all on my face scent | full star | hint of berry packaging | .75 star | branding appeals more to the younger crowd, but elevated for the price. Lots of verbiage on the package, I like how they’re switching to a box vs the shrink wrapping ingredients | .5 star | no organic ingredients, but there’s *natural perfume in here 😭 value | full star | at only $16 this is a steal! Plus it’s a local brand so I like giving them money Total 4.65 out of 6 stars ✨
