Mini ulta haul with product tryouts!
I had a few Ulta gift cards burning a hole in my pocket so I decided to get a few new items to try out.
The first item I’ve been dying to try is URBAN DECAY - All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray I wanted to see if it’s worth the hype/price tag. I like this product, but I’d like to use it a few more times. I’m going to do another post next month comparing several different setting sprays to see how the compare.
The next item I used is the MILANI - Cheek Kiss Blush in shade cheeky coral. I like the shade and it wears nicely. But I did have to layer it to get the color payoff I was looking for.
I also got another cult favorite, PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer I absolutely love this product. I love the texture, the smell, the finish. It’s all great, absolutely worth the price.
And the last is another eye shadow pallet from profusion! #Profusion Cosmetics - Starlet palette[products]#[FourStars] I love this palette, although the shimmer shades need a wet brush to be impactful.

COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation i used the shaade 25 W for warm, pale skin. this foundation is great because they make some really pale shades!
e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer in light peach
Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder this doesnt keep oil away for too long, but it does mattify intially and blurs well
NARS - NARS Blush i used the shade “super orgasm”. this blush is better for someone who prefers very little color in their blush.
COLOURPOP - COLOURPOP X Mulan Eyeshadow Palette i used the cool brown shade “imperial” as a contour on my forehead and cheekbones
ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Moonchild Glow Kit i used the shade “lucky” which is a silver-green highlight. i put it on my cheeks and my inner corners

COLOURPOP - COLOURPOP X Mulan Eyeshadow Palette i used the cool brown shade “imperial” to shade above the crease, and the dark brown shade “true” to deepen it even more. i then used a COLOURPOP - Colourpop Super Shock Shadow called “empire” all over my lid.
for eye liner, i put COLOURPOP - Crème Gel Liner called ice breaker in the water line to add a mint green effect. then, i used COLOURPOP - BFF Liquid Liner on the outside of my eyes and my inner corner to make my eyes look huge👁
i finished with my all time favorite L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Original Mascara 😊

Easy Glam With Only 5 Products!
I love a good low maintenance look that packs a punch and takes less than 15 minutes to apply! I only used 5 products for this look.
First, I applied NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer To my under eye, lids, and a few blemishes on my forehead. I blend it all out with my e.l.f. - Blending Sponge Duo I like this sponge, it’s soft and not so pointy at the end that I poke myself in the eye. Next, I apply just a touch of BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Moonstone to my forehead with a fan brush, and then use a large eyeshadow brush to sweep it all over my eye. Then I use the tarte - Sugar Rush Sparkler Shadow Stick in Rose Gold from lash line to crease. I blend it out a teeny bit with my finger. It’s a good shadow stick and the sparkle applies nice and thick, but it’s tough to blend and it does get a little messy. Then I swiped on a little wing with FENTY BEAUTY - Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner and 2 layers of NARS - Climax Mascara and I was out the door!
(Okay fine, I did my eyebrows earlier for a Zoom call with ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel but I didn’t do it for this look so I’m not counting it!)
As you can see, I suck at putting on eyeliner 😣 I don’t have a very steady hand. Any tips? I’d appreciate it!

My favorite eye makeup 😍
I love a super punchy warm orange look! The Coral Obsessions mini palette from Huda Beauty is perfect for that! HUDA BEAUTY - Haze Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette For this look with a fluffy eyeshadow brush I blended shade 6 into the whole crease and shade 2 into the outer corner. Then I gathered shade 9 on a flat, stiff brush and wet it with MAC - MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ Finishing Mist (or water or any setting spray you have) and I pack that onto the entire lid. It’s super simple and takes only a few minutes! Add some mascara (I’m using Rodial - Glamolash Mascara XXL ) and you’re all done! #cheriepartner

FAUX FRECKLE ROUTINE ✨
I have natural freckles that come out in the sun. Sometimes when I put foundation over my freckles they go away. This is the routine I use to add some more freckles to my face!
Step 1: Over foundation, I apply ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade in ‘Soft Brown’ with an eye brow brush. I apply different pressure on the brush; lightly for smaller freckles, harder for larger freckles.
Step 2: Next, I take a foundation sponge and lightly tap over the freckles to blend them in. (You can use your fingertips for this but I find a sponge works best.
Step 3: Next, I will lightly go over some freckles with more brow product to get lighter and darker freckles for a more natural look.
Step 4: Lastly, I set the face with a setting powder so the freckles last all day.
Repeat if necessary.

How I Do My Eyebrows For My “Heart-Shaped” Face
Finding the ideal brow shape isn't as easy as it sounds. Should you go with a high arch, a bushy undone brow, or a more refined 'drawn on' kind of brow? For me, I try to keep my brows as natural looking as possible. I have a few "holy grail" brow products that I use. But my brow routine is pretty low key.
My Brow Journey
First off, I'm a 90s baby. And as someone who was a pre-teen in the early 2000s, (you probably know where this is going), I stole my mom's tweezers and went to town on my eyebrows. Luckily they grew back, and I've learned my way around a pair of tweezers and a brow brush. To find my ideal brow shape, I turned to the internet, specifically YouTube, to seek brow advice from the beauty gurus of my time.
My Face Shape:
From what I understand after taking a Cosmo quiz, I have a "heart-shaped" face. My forehead is wider than my jawline, and my cheekbones are around the same width as my forehead width. Plus, I have a more narrow jawline.
My Brow Shape:
I have a very soft, angled arch to my brows. I have to pluck my unibrow and a few stray hairs underneath my brow bone, and that's pretty much it. I must say, I do have fairly easy-going brows to maintain. I'd like them to be a little bit thicker, but hey, we can't always get what we want. However, we can always place an order at Sephora.com for more brow products.
My brows look pretty similar in most of my photos, want to know why? Because I've barely changed up my brow routine since high school! Sometimes I'll add a bit of filler to give them a more dramatic look, or I will just brush them up and set them with an eyebrow gel.
