Organic Skincare on a Budget! 🦄
These have to be two of my favorite products from the Acure line besides their hair products! ACURE - Brightening Day Cream The Brightening Face Cream is the perfect moisturizer for everyday use. It provides the right amount of hydration without being too heavy in the skin and doesn’t require a lot of product to work. The only downside with this product is the amount of citrus EO 🍊 that is in its formula - this can be sensitizing or irritating to already sensitive skin. Besides that, 5 stars! You can purchase this online on the Acure or ULTA websites, but I often find this exact product at Marshall’s or TJ Maxx at a discounted price! 🤑 ACURE - Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil This Blue Tansy Night Oil is amazing! I would say it’s a less expensive version of the Herbivore Lapis Facial Oil. I love the Herbivore oil so I was excited to try the the Acure version and they did not disappoint. If you are experiencing inflamed, acne-prone, and/or sensitive skin, this is definitely for you. My skin always looked and felt so smooth after using this and it quickly became one of my favorites. Again, only downside is the perfumey scent that it carries. Fragrances can be too sensitizing and it would be even better if the used maybe 1 EO in its formula, at a very small concentration, for scent - OR NONE AT ALL LOL! Other than that, highly recommend 💫 Acure has always been one of my favorite brands ever since I made the switch to clean beauty. They are relatively inexpensive and effective! There are a lot of drug-store clean beauty brands that claim to do wondrous work but often times fall short of a lot of things. Acure, I find, has always had some great products to offer at a great price! 🌼
ACURE-Brightening Day Cream
Clean Makeup Remover 🌸
I initially purchased this “wash” because my skin was starting to feel dry and sensitive. My other face cleansers weren’t working anymore and I needed to venture into more cream based cleansers. I had been eyeing this specific cleanser for months so when it was time to switch I purchased this one from my local Target. Here’s the gag, though; it turned out to be one of the BEST oil cleansers I’ve ever tried🌹Even though I purchased it be used alone, the formulation and consistency just didn’t work for me as a typical “cleanser” would and I decided to issue it in a double cleanse system instead. Turned out to be amazing! 😱 When squeezed out, it looks like a pink gel 💕but when water is added, it turns into a milky consistency that melt away any makeup from the day. I would go in with this first to get off ALL my makeup (eyes included) and then switch to a regular cleanser with mild surfactants to really clean everything else off, and continue with the rest of my routine as usual. If you are dealing with very sensitive or overly dry and dehydrated skin, I would absolutely recommend giving it a try. It is extremely hydrating but does leave a bit of an oily “film” on the face - you cant see it but you can feel it (only caveat IMO). I would NOT suggest it for oily/acne prone or regular skin types 🚫 UNLESS it’s being used to wash off makeup in a double cleanse. All in all, I really loved this product. Even though I intended on using it as a normal wash, I’m glad I found something that extremely effective at getting all my makeup off. ⭐️ HONEST - Magic Gel-to-Milk Cleanser
HONEST-Magic Gel-to-Milk Cleanser
Would love to know what your daily routines look like! ⭐️ I’m still altering mine to fit my skin needs and daily schedule. I’m currently only washing once per day, but I definitely need to come up with a solid AM and PM routine 💦 I formed my list on tips from certified estheticians and skincare specialists. So far it has been working really well but there are still products and steps I need to re-work. Enjoy! xo
CBD Face Cream 🌱
CANNUKA - Harmonizing Face Cream CBD 🌱 has clearly been all the rave for the past few years and now we have been seeing a growing popularity for it in skincare products. CBD is said to relieve issues like skin sensitivity, redness, and dryness. This CBD Face Cream from Cannuka grabbed my attention due to the clean and simple ingredient lists. It claims to be a “powerful and luxurious yet lightweight and delivers a burst of hydration 💦 to smooth and calm dry, irritated skin.” It contains things like: + Bees Wax 🐝 + Aloe Vera 🌵 + Vitamin E + Hemp Seed Oil 🌱 + CBD Isolate (100mg) & Manuka Honey (Active 16+) 🍯 All great ingredients that really help sensitive skin and those w/ dryness as well. Also, packaging is super cute! 🤩 I was super excited to try this out since I have been battling dry, sensitive, and dehydrated skin for the past couple years. 😣 I (luckily) found a bottle of it at my local Marshall’s and decided to grab it because it was $38-cheaper than the bottles at ULTA and other online retailers! However, I was a bit disappointed at the texture and smell of the product. It leaves a sticky residue behind; I imagine this would be better if you’re aiming to use it as a primer for makeup, a night cream, or if you layer a face oil over it, but that was one of the major things I didn’t like about it. Next was the smell! 🤢 It has a horrid citrus smell that way too overpowering and makes the product smell like its old or expired. Initially I though it was, until I read a review from another customer claiming the same thing! All in all, it is great if you have dry skin because it did moisturize my face well. It didn’t WOW me at all though, and I feel like I can find other products that work just as good or even better, without the bad smell, sticky residue, and high price tag. If you are keen on trying this, I would suggest getting it on sale or maybe a trial size if they offer it. I really wanted to love this, but I won’t be re-purchasing unfortunately. 🙁 xo Kia 💛
CANNUKA-Harmonizing Face Cream
Mychelle Cleanser 💦
MyChelle dermaceuticals - Gentle Cleansing Wash I really wanted to love this cleanser but unfortunately it didn’t do anything I expected 😞 The wash is said to remove “impurities that can lead to irritation, thereby soothing the skin.” However, my experience was quite the opposite. I start my routine by washing my face for 60 seconds using gentle massaging techniques to remove buildup from my pores and to really focus on removing all the dirt and debris from my skin. With this cleanser though, my skin is usually ultra sensitive once I rinse it off and feels more irritated than before. The cleanser is targeted towards sensitive skin, so you can understand how disappointed I was when I stated using it. I will say that it doesn’t dry my skin out, but it’s still not enough to over look to the sensation it causes. The formulation is supposed to be good: + Blue Daisy and French Oak Extract + Aloe Extract * made without parabens, pthalates, sulfates, artificial fragrances. However, I’m assuming one of the other fragrant extracts, preservatives, or cleansing formulas could’ve been causing this sensitivity. So it’s safe to say I WILL NOT be repurchasing - even though it seems the company has discontinued this product. 2 stars ⭐️ ⭐️

Trader Joe’s Skincare Line
Ever been curious about Trader Joe’s skincare? Well I have 😆 and I bought these two products to test out. All-In-One Facial Cleanser: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I gave this four stars because even though I liked it, it didn’t wow! me. It’s a great cleanser if you need something quick (easily accessible) or curious to test out other products. Did clean my face without leaving it dry and tight - which is good for especially seeing I have sensitive/dry skin. It’s a gel like texture and it’s about $8 (maybe less) for this bottle that contains 8.45 oz! That’s great when compared to other clean beauty cleaners. Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Again, this product didn’t wow me and it was okay for just what it is. My skin didn’t feel like it made grand improvements with its use, but it was hydrating enough. However, if you are looking for something to pair with other serums, without breaking the bank or your skin, this is a great option! 🤩 It has simple ingredients and relatively inexpensive (about $8 I believe). My overall review would be - these products are definitely worth a try. They weren’t exceptional but pretty good when compared to other products and the pricing is hard to beat. I would most likely purchase the cleanser again, especially for traveling. I don’t want to worry about leaving a more expensive cleanser on a trip somewhere lol Have any of tried them out? Would love to know your thoughts 💭 xo Kia
Drunk Elephant review
I'd long been curious about whether Drunkelephant was worth the hype. It's now been over a month, so here are some of my thoughts: ▪️ I was super skeptical about the protini cream being enough for my dry skin, especially since it's been touted as being an HG for oilier skin types. That said, I actually really like it for the daytime! My skin absorbs it quickly and is left feeling soft and plump! During the winter, I need something a bit heavier at night, but come summer, this will come in handy (if it lasts that long!) DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer ▪️ the best jelly cleanser is nice, but for $34 I expect a bit more, and ultimately I prefer my glossier MJC that's half the price DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser ▪️ LOVE babyfacial! It's by far my favorite resurfacing mask, though I'm very careful with how often I use it, as it's quite potent and I don't want to compromise my skin's moisture barrier. I probably reach for it once a month, and that works for me. $80 is pretty steep, but you only need a thin layer, so it should easily last for months. DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial 25% AHA + 2% BHA Mask ▪️ b-hydra serum is the best thing they make in my opinion! It's so lightweight, yet incredibly hydrating, so it's perfect for layering on top of other treatments and/or before creams. At $52, it's not cheap, but it's a decent size and you only need a couple pumps per application. I'm so sold on this that I'm already planning on buying a backup if I can find it on sale this weekend! DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum

Holy Grail Sensitive Skin Moisturizer
The perfect whipped DREAM to top off your skincare routine... Drunk Elephant has some seriously good products...but their Lala Retro Whipped Cream has to be my favorite. It’s such a plush, luxurious texture but isn’t too heavy—it’s actually quite light and “whipped.” I have sensitive skin and it seems like anything has the potential to set off skin irritation for me. This cream heals all...I use this as the last step in my night time routine and I rarely wake up with redness anymore after 4ish weeks of consistent use. Even though it is considered a cream, it soaks into the skin in about 15 minutes. I use 1/2 of a pump twice daily and that is more than enough for me. Lala targets skin that needs serious love. It contains a 6-African-Oil blend with ceramides that lock in moisture and soothes irritated skin. I thought my skin wasn’t dry enough to warrant a cream like this, but it turns out this is perfect for sensitive skin since it’s really just trying to soothe skin. I’ve enjoyed so much about this product...except the price tag. $60! I understand why it’s so expensive—the ingredients are ethically sourced and the product WORKS! Even though it is so expensive, this is a definitely holy grail for me...it’s worth every penny. If you are in the market for a seriously soothing moisturizer that you can rely on in any situation, I highly recommend this. Go to Sephora and get a sample! Then you’ll see what I mean. I have to give Lala 5 out of 5 stars. It makes me look forward to using my moisturizer which is something I never thought I would say! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer with Ceramides

Winter always takes it’s toll on my skin so I’ve really been appreciating the new FAB Pharma collection from @firstaidbeauty! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ First, the FAB Pharma Arnica Relief & Rescue Mask is a creamy, calming, and soothing leave-on mask that helps nurture stressed, dry, and irritated skin. It definitely tops my list of “Must Have Masks for Dry, Itchy Winter Skin” with beautiful soothing and healing ingredients like Arnica Flower, Calendula, and Centella Asiatica. The texture is beautiful that is reminiscent of toothpaste (if I were to compare it to anything) an initially is rich and has a white cast upon application but quickly sinks in leaving the skin feeling instantly calmer. This beauty also passes the pillow test with flying colors! After using it I wake up to soft, supple, and dewy with MUCH less visible redness. It’s also a great price point for the quality at $32 for 3.4 oz/ 96.4 g. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The FAB Pharma Oat & Hemp Multi-Fix Salve has also become a winter staple and REALLY helped with some irritated dry patches that I had on my forearms! This skin salve (which we all need one of) is a head-to-toe, fix-it-all balm with 101 uses that treats skin emergencies and helps soothe, smooth, hydrate, and protect. You get the soothing, nurturing, hydrating power of Colloidal Oatmeal, Hemp Seed Oil, and Avocado Oil is this beauty and it truly helps to relieve irritated skin, cracked heels, dry patches, rough elbows, chapped lips, and wind burn. Plus I just read that it tames eyebrows (and split ends) which I will be trying next! With this one a little goes a long way and it’s well worth $34 for 1.5 oz/ 43 g. Hoping they eventually make a mini for my purse!

SCALP SCRUB PACKAGING FACE OFF!
I feel like the key to beautiful and happy hair, has to start at your scalp! I have tested way too many scalp scrubs to have only JUST found *the one*... Is it just me, or does packaging play a huge role in determining if you’re going to like a product? The Ouai scalp & body scrub: claims to be a deep cleansing, foaming skin and scalp scrub. It is meant to remove build up from your scalp and smooth out dry patches of skin. Drunk elephant TLC happi scalp scrub: claims to be a supercharged AHA/BHA acid blend that dissolves dead skin cells and build up. My scalp is incredibly dry and always itchy, due to an imbalanced scalp and product build up. I am always on the search for the perfect scalp scrub that can actually do the job and keep the itchiness away for longer than an hour. I finally found the scalp scrub I’ll always reach for, and the main reason is the packaging! I HATE dipping my wet hands into a scalp scrub CUP. Ew! I absolutely love how easy it is to dispense the DE scrub into my roots with the squeeze tube packaging AND bonus tip dispenser. The thin white paste of the drunk elephant scrub is also so much easier to spread around, than the huge gritty paste of the ouai scrub. The drunk elephant scrub is also so much faster to rinse out, as it has biodegradable exfoliating beads in it, that simply dissolve. The Ouai scalp scrub has huge sugar-like crystals in it that I can still feel in the shaft of my hair after I rinse it out. It gets caught everywhere! My last determining factor for which scalp scrub is for you, is the effectiveness. When I use the Ouai scalp scrub, I feel that it’s purpose is more for removing build up, and I mean heavy duty build up. The Ouai scalp scrub is what I would opt for if I had insane build up, and haven’t been able to use a scalp scrub in a long time. It does a super deep clean and most times leaves my scalp very dry. The drunk elephant scrub is the winner for me because I don’t usually have a ton of product build up and mostly need to get rid of the dead skin cells on my scalp and rebalance it. I would recommend both, depending on which of these concerns you have more! OUAI - Scalp & Body Scrub DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Happi Scalp Scrub

Toner for dry skin
First aid beauty have some amazing products and it's been one of my favorite brands. None of the product which i have tried have disappointed me. Their wild oat Hydrating toner is one of my favorites. The main INGREDIENTS in this are, Colloidal oatmeal which helps and soothes dry stressed skin. Propolis extract which is derivative of honey which helps renew your skin appeareance. Wild oats which help soothes and nurture skin barrier. The TEXTURE is unlike any other toner. It's not watery or runny at all. It's like a hybrid of toner and serum and more like essence. I love using as an extra addition to my routine to combat any dryness or irritated skin. Hydration is the key for a beautiful skin. Be it oily, combination or dry skin, keeping skin Hydrating is very important according to me. This toner helps my skin so much and also soothes the redness and parched skin. It's helps to retain my moisture barrier. It quickly absorbs in the skin and also works so well under makeup. This toner retails for $22 for 6oz.

Lemme talk about my favorite duo Drunk Elephant baby facial is my favorite weekly facial treatment 😉 This stuff is STRONG THO- so please beware! This is a 25% AHA 2% BHA blend 🧖🏼♀️ My biggest recommendation for those who are trying this out or having sensitive skin is to add the precious Lala cream with your baby facial! It’s such a luxurious addition and also a layer of extra hydration with the strong acids can really help make this a more gentle process! I know it says 15-20 minutes, but if your new to acids or are unsure- I recommend testing it the first time for 5-10 minutes and working your way up from there once a week 😊 this is something that instantly smoothes but you will notice over time improvement in overall texture, hyperpigmentation and brightness of the skin ✨ the main things with skincare (other than sunscreen) is being consistent. Things won’t magically work over night- and if you think it does, it’s not long term 🤷🏼♀️ I highly recommend trying out this duo because it has been an absolute life saver for me and my skin!
