triple acid exfoliant for brighter, smooth skin
I was looking for The Ordinary Lactic Acid treatment but couldn’t find it in Sephora, and I was recommended the Kate Somerville - Liquid ExfoliKate Triple Acid Resurfacing Treatment
10% Triple Acid Blend (Glycolic, Malic, and Lactic Acids)
Phytic Acid with Pumpkin, Papaya, and Pineapple Enzymes
Peptides, Honey, and Tea ExtractI love the ingredient list because it has different AHAs blended with soothing ingredients! Application: The company suggests you apply this as a toner by saturating a cotton pad and applying before your moisturizer. You can certainly do it this way, but I usually like using it like a serum by using a dropper and applying it in drops directly on my face and then rubbing it in. It does have a pretty runny and thin consistency, so just be careful not to let it slip off your face before rubbing it in when using a dropper. Both application techniques work just fine! I usually only use this at night so as to avoid extra sensitization to the sun. I apply this in conjunction with my hyaluronic acid and niacinamide serums. Overall, this is a great addition to your skincare routine if you’re looking for a gentle yet effective exfoliating treatment! Let me know your thoughts!

Ingredients to Build your Routine Around
I am 35 years old with two kids. I have dry / normal skin. My top concerns are fine lines & wrinkles, preventing aging, dullness, and dark circles. When I started my skincare routine, all I knew was that I started to notice fine lines & wrinkles and wanted to buy new products for “anti-aging”. After a lot of research, here are my Top 5 Ingredients with proven benefits for 30s Skin: 1. Retinol Retinol is a powerhouse for wrinkles. It is a synthetic derivative of Vitamin A. It alters the behaviour of aged skin cells. It smooths skin texture, enhances radiance and treats aging. Retinol can be irritating to skin, so build up your tolerance gradually starting with a lower percentage and only 1-2 days per week. DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream Murad - Ready, Radiant, Retinol SKINCEUTICALS - Retinol 0.3 SUNDAY RILEY - Luna Sleeping Night Oil If you need an alternative to retinol because you have sensitive skin or you are pregnant or breastfeeding, bakuchiol is a good plant-based all natural alternative to retinol or rosehip oil is high in Vitamin A. HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil 2. Vitamin C A potent antioxidant that helps reduce skin inflammation, irregular pigmentation, and promotes healthier collagen production. It neutralizes free radical damage and great for AM routine. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Time to Wake Up Duo SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum 3. Exfoliate / AHAs Exfoliation is about boosting cell turnover. You should do it twice a week. Use different acids like lactic acid and glycolic acid. Build up a tolerance. You can use toners, serums, or creams. Kate Somerville - Liquid ExfoliKate Triple Acid Resurfacing Treatment SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum 4. Peptides Peptides preserve and boost collagen production. Peptides are short chain amino acids that act as building blocks for proteins such as collagen. It improves the appearance of firmness and wrinkles. Extensive research supports that peptides improve skin function and appearance. The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' OLAY - Wrinkle Correction Serum with Vitamin B3+ Collagen Peptides PAULA'S CHOICE - Peptide Booster 5. Hydration In your 30s your skin tends to get dehydrated. Hydration will plump up skin. Add a hydrating toner, facial spray, hyaluronic acid serum. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 **BONUS** SPF Never forget you sunscreen ☀️
Miracle in a Bottle 😍
This is a product that’s been a staple in my routine for some time now. I don’t break out often, but when I do it scars and doesn’t leave my face for ages 😩 First I’d like to say how luxurious it feels putting on a product that is so expensive (which is also a downside 😂). I put this on as my acid for the night and it soaks right into my skin. This product is surprisingly hydrating too, so bonus!!! I wake up with the softest skin, and I swear my skin looks clearer every time I use it. I always use this in conjunction with the Luna oil too, and they are a power duo. It has a faint scent that I don’t mind, but those who are sensitive to smells might not find it enjoyable. SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment While I love this product, it’s definitely not practicable because of the price tag. But if you want to treat yourself, this is definitely the product for you.

I finished it??!- Innisfree green tea seed serum
I’ll be real with you, chief: I’m an oil slick and my face can fill the tank of my car. I got this as a gift, and I was graciously thankful, but in my mind, upon reading “intensive hydrating”, I was thinking of a damage control plan for my face when I finally got the guts to try it. Consider my surprise when that breakout never came. In fact, this serum moisturizer my face to the point where my oil production actually let up?! It’s a light gel that you use after toner. To me it leaves my face feeling like...satin? I thought oily meant not needing extra hydration but reddit schooled me. During the summertime, I used it in lieu of moisturizer under my sunscreen. In the winter time, I put it under a light cream and I swear it helps keep my oil production under control - as this was the only new thing. It is fragranced; to me, Not obnoxiously so, but if you’re particularly sensitive I would suggest steering clear because it is noticeable. Best believe I snatched up a mega size for Black Friday. Score. Now to manage without while it’s shipping....

One of the BEST chemical exfoliants !
Farmacy Honeymoon Glow AHA Resurfacing Night Serum ($58/1oz) What It Is: A three-in-one night serum that resurfaces, hydrates, and clarifies dull skin while you sleep, formulated with a 14 percent AHA/BHA/gentle flower acid blend. For: Normal, Dry, Combination, and Oily Skin Types. Skincare Concerns: Pores, Fine Lines and Wrinkles, and Loss of Firmness and Elasticity. My Experience: I have been using this gem for about a year and it has been an absolute dream for my oily skin. It contains a blend of 14% AHA/BHA/flower acids to exfoliate dead skin cells, target hyperpigmentation, and help reduce the appearance of pores, fine lines, and wrinkles. Another amazing ingredient in this is hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plumb the skin. For starters, the bottle is super chic. I use this 1-2x a week. The creamy yet lightweight texture sinks into the skin almost immediately. It has a natural scent of honey that disappears after application. Sometimes I feel a slight tingly sensation upon application but goes away very quick. After each use, I notice a big difference in terms of smoothness, brightness and overall texture. I also notice a reduction on my pores, a healthy glow and it helps so much with my hormonal acne. And even though it is potent it is also gentle and incredible hydrating. For a natural product, I am super impressed with the results and performance of this exfoliating serum. I am truly obsessed with this and I recommend it to anyone, but definitely start slow if you are not used to acids since this beauty it is strong but definitely worth every single penny. Cherie Rating: 5/5

💥 BHA: If I’m breaking out, Salicylic Acid is a no-brainer. Unlike AHA’s, BHA’s are oil soluble and so are able to penetrate the pore to dissolve clogs. BHA’s are also anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and a keratolytic agent - just fantastic at treating acne. I’ll usually apply paulaschoice 2% BHA daily, at night, until the breakouts cease. If you struggle with leave-on BHA’s (they can be somewhat drying), opt for a cleanser containing Salicylic Acid instead - alumiermduk Acne Clarifying Cleanser* contains 2% Salicylic Acid in a fuss-free, fragrance free runny gel. Similarly, alliesofskin Fresh Slate Purifying Cleanser contains 1% Salicylic Acid along with Kaolin Clay, Manuka Honey + Silver to heal breakouts (this is best used as a mask!) - thicker and stickier, it’s still a pleasure to use, but one you need the time for. 💥 LED Treatment: I looooove LED. This mini device is drdennisgross Spotlite Blemish Reducer. It uses blue (415nm) and red light (630nm) to target breakouts and reduce the chance of scarring. (blue light targets bacteria whist red light targets inflammation/redness). It retails for £58 which is relatively affordable for an at-home device. This is quite new to me but a perfect time to test its efficacy with these breakouts. I’ll update! 💥 Post-Breakout Treatment: Despite some belief that L-AA causes/exacerbates acne - I actually up my usage of a Vitamin C serum during + after a breakout to treat post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I do notice a drastic reduction in the time it takes for them to fade when I’m consistent with L-AA. A must for me! 🔥Hydration: If you’re upping the frequency of actives, it’s equally important to ensure proper hydration as to not cause surface dryness - which can exacerbate breakouts by blocking the flow of oil production. I’m loving lmedik8 Hydr8* mixed with drunkelephant Protini to ensure adequate hydration post-treatment.

Acid Treatment Fav🥰🥰 And Meh🙄🙄
Acids are daily essentials for acne-prone skin and bring great results. I've tried seven to eight acids these past two years. I have chose some of my meh and favs. I'm now going to share with you guys. SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment: I'm very satisfied with it. I've previously used The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%. Although it helps to control acne breakouts and unclog pores, it neither soothes my skin nor does it feel good on my skin, leaving it dry and even irritating it a little, but not this Sunday Riley lactic acid treatment! Although it's an acid, it really moisturizes well. I have very dry skin, so I only use a toner and a lactic acid serum in the evening which is enough for my skin to become smooth the next day. It's great at controlling acne breakouts, and I had basically no acne or bumps in the two months of using it. DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask: The main ingredients are 25% fruit acid plus 2% salicylic acid. It still irritates my skin a little even though I have a high skin tolerance. It needs to be washed it off after 10 minutes, so I only use it once a week. To be honest, the results aren't too impressive, so it's not really worth its price. HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum: Its packaging is stunning but this serum receives very polarized reviews. The main ingredient is retinol, which focuses on unclogging pores and increasing skin metabolism. It has a light purple gel-like texture and provides a similar experience as when using The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension. It's effective but it irritates the skin and is expensive. I recommend The Ordinary as it's really good value for money. Have you used any of these products? 🙂 What are your meh and fav recently? Comment here!

I also have a couple of acne scars (because I’m awful and can’t keep my hands off my face 🙄) and even the appearance of those have diminished. When I use it there is a little tingly feeling but nothing out of the normal. I’ve been using it every 2 days as recommended but feel like my face can handle using it more frequently. Overall I think this is a good price for the amount product and the amazing results I’ve gotten. I hope this helps you if you have been thinking about purchasing this item.
