To me, NYE is all about shiny and shimmery things, so I decided to go with a subtle gold shimmery look! I am by no means an eyeshadow master, so this is my best attempt, please bear with me! I just dabbed a little eyeshadow on my finger, and dabbed it onto my eye. I used BOBBI BROWN - Eyeshadow to fill in my brows. I used #Burt’s Bees - Nourishing Eyeliner Pencil[products]#[FiveStars] in warm brown to give natural definition to my eyes and COVERGIRL - LashBlast Volume Mascara for my lashes. I used my favorite SHISEIDO - Shiseido Eyelash Curler to lift my lashes. I didn’t use any concealer or foundation today, so my HIP marks were showing, but I put some BOBBI BROWN - BOBBI BROWN Bronzing Powder on my cheek bones, some Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color along my cheeks, and some BOBBI BROWN - Shimmer Brick Highlighter on the high points of my cheeks and the tip of my nose.

2020 is coming to a close. I think we are all very hopeful for a better 2021. 2020 has been challenging year. But, as hard as it has been for me having a newborn & a toddler at home during two lockdowns now (Ontario is officially locked down today again), it has also given me LOTS of time with my kids, a HUGE appreciation for stay at home moms, and appreciating all the things I took for granted like seeing friends & family at Christmas. Here’s my @cherie2020 Top 5 1. Product My favourite has been SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment I received it in a sample bag from Sephora and was blown away by the results. It’s a 7 % lactic acid treatment in a milky serum consistency. It also contains licorice root extract. You really can notice it smooth & brighten your skin in 3 minutes! I haven’t bought the full size yet. It retails for $112 CAD for 1oz. But when my sample runs out I think this one is worth the money! (The sample is .25oz and I’ve been using it once a week for about 6 weeks and I might have one use left) 2. Trend Does Vitamin C count as a trend? I only started my skincare journey 6 months ago. I didn’t really know anything about skincare ingredients. Now I’ve bought two Vitamin C serums, an eye cream, and face wash! Vitamin C is powerful antioxidant that helps give you brighter, tighter, and overall more radiant looking skin. I definitely have noticed a difference since starting use to Vitamin C serums! Before I started my skincare journey in the summer, I was maybe washing my face in the shower and putting on lotion. Definitely no make-up. I looked tired and dull. Now I take care of my skin, so even without make-up I look brighter and I also take 5 minutes to put on a little make-up, even if it is just to walk the kids to the park and it makes me feel a lot better about my appearance. The first makeup brand I tried as a young teen was Bobbi Brown and even now as an almost-21 year old, I still use Bobbi Brown for a majority of my makeup looks! One of my favorite products from Bobbi Brown is the BOBBI BROWN - Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick . It is so easy and quick to use to get some color on your eyes. You can use a little bit to get a subtle look, or you can build it up as much as you want for a nice pigmented look. Like I’ve said before, I’m very minimalistic when it comes to makeup, so I use mostly natural colors, however Bobbi Brown does have a good selection of colors. They also last a long time! For this look, I used the cream shadow stick in 2 colors: Taupe and Goldstone. Taupe is a medium caramel that looks quite natural on my skin tone. Goldstone is supposed to be a shimmering brown gold, but I find on my medium skin tone that it is silver out of the sunlight and gold in the sunlight. The shimmer is very subtle and it’s great if you want to subtly spice up an everyday look. Have you used the long-wear cream shadow stick? What are your thoughts about it?

Enjoy :) MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation in 112 natural ivory - moves around a lot and isn't good for oily skin, since I found it to need lots of powder Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint in shades G10, 11 & 12 - they're tints, so don't expect full coverage - more like light-medium, you can build it up. I give them 4/5 stars bc they need to expand their shade range and bc I found I needed lots of powder to set this one. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation in 140C - I'm so impressed by this one and I love it. So worth it and the shade range is really good. A good long wearing foundation and I didn't have any issues. Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation in seashell & cloud - I mix them together to get my perfect shade, since cloud is too light and seashell is too dark. Def one of the best foundations (if not the best) ever made. COVERGIRL - Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation in 510/porcelain - too light but not a bad foundation, more of a skin tint and the smell kinda bothers me I have yet to try all these in a wear test: DIOR - BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundationin 1 cool rosy ARMANI beauty - Luminous Silk Foundation in 3.75 HOURGLASS - Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stickin vanilla ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation in 1C0 shell beautyblender - Bounce Liquid Whip Long Wear Foundationin 1.50 cool Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Longwear Foundationin 2 cool Next up to try: Fenty pro filt'r soft matte foundation and YSL all hours foundation - I have samples of both and I'm excited to try them

Ever since the Purito sunscreen scandal, there’s also been questions about the dear, klairs - Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++ and if it’s actually SPF 50 like the company claims, especially since the sunscreen is made in the same lab as the Purito sunscreen. I’ve used this sunscreen for months and I’ve loved it so much because it didn’t sting my face while I was going through my Tretinoin purge. It felt so moisturizing and lightweight on my skin, and I thought I had found my forever sunscreen, so you can imagine my disappointment when I found out the sunscreen wasn’t actually protecting my face like I thought it was. So while I wait for the results from the test to come out, I have gone back to my Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 . I actually had used this for a year or two before I went on Tretinoin, and it worked great for me, but since I started my Tretinoin journey, it stung my face so much and left it an oily mess, so I decided to go for the dear Klairs one. Now that I’ve survived the Tretinoin purge and my face is starting to really clear up and heal, my face can tolerate the Neutrogena sunscreen and I really love it! It comes out as a watery gel with a slight blue tint but it spreads into a transparent film with no white-cast. It hydrates your skin and leaves it with a nice glowy look. And I actually feel like I can use it as a primer as well. I’ve found that I am able to keep my Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint and Glossier. - Stretch Concealer on my face for the entire day without it melting off! If you’re looking for a good sunscreen while you wait for the results like me, this is it! It does have alcohol as one of the ingredients, but it is lower on the list and I haven’t felt any drying effects, so I’m less concerned about it. If you have any other sunscreen recommendations for oily/combo skin, please let me know!

I have to admit I have been in love with the asthetics of Glossier for a couple years now but the price point always made me hesitant. This year I FINALLY decided to take advantage of their Cyber Sale. Overall, I wasn't left disappointed! Glossier definitely has the "no makeup makeup" concept down and I was super impressed with how well some of the products helped me achieve this look. Glossier. - Boy Brow This is for sure a new staple in my makeup bag! The formula is light and performs beautifully to give your brows a natural shape. I previously used the e.l.f. - Wow Brow Gel as a dupe recommendation and I personally don't think it's a comparable dupe at all. While the results are similar, Boy Brow is more waxy and moveable, while Wow Brow leaves my eyebrows crunchy and weighted down. Glossier. - Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick I really wanted to love this lipstick. I adore the concept and it genuinely gives a blotted lipstick look. I love the color (I purchased like) because it gives me a "my lips but better" color. However, I can't get over the waxy plastic smell they claim to be lychee rose. It lingers on my lips and it's a no for me because of the fragrance. Glossier. - Wowder Weightless Finishing Powder This really is WOWder! It's light as it claims, eliminates some dewy shine from your face, and works wonders to even skin tone and blurr large pores. It's a new favorite in my makeup collection and has replaced light foundation when I want a simple no makeup look. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom Hands down the best lipbalm I have ever used, no question about it! I purchased the original and mint, which I use several times a day now. I plan on purchasing more in the near future so they can live all over my house and in my purse forever and ever. Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid I was nervous about this product based on the reviews I read. It really does give a healthy glow to the skin that looks like it comes from within. I use it as a natural looking highlighter too. But it doesn't completely dry down, thus one star removed. Glossier. - Stretch Concealer This isn't a medium or full coverage concealer, but in my opinion it still performs beautifully. After applying it under my eyes I noticed the area looked brighter and I looked more awake. It doesn't cover redness but it does even skin tone some and looks like my skin, but better. I don't have any creasing either after wearing it all day. Glossier. - Lash Slick Mascara I love everything about this mascara EXCEPT it sometimes flakes. It really gives my lashes a natural look and again, "my lashes but better." I am on the hunt for a dupe that doesn't flake. Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color These are everything they are hyped up to be and more! I purchased Beam and Dusk. Both look beautiful, are highly pigmented, and give my cheeks a healthy natural glow.
