castor oil 4 week update
This is week 4 of my eyelash and eyebrow growth with TROPIC ISLE LIVING - Jamaican Black Castor Oil

2-week update: Tropic Isle Castor Oil
Please excuse my messy eyebrows! I’ve been on a multiple-year-long search to grow my lashes longer and thicker with not much luck. I’ve tried Vaseline, which did help my lashes grow a bit longer but then it stopped working, or at least I stopped trying. I then turned to some cold-pressed castor oil I got from a cheap shop. That didn’t work much. I’ve tried putting caffeine serum on my lashes and I haven’t had much luck. So now I’m putting TROPIC ISLE LIVING - Jamaican Black Castor Oil to the test. These two pictures were taken two weeks apart, with application every night. There isn’t much difference in the length, thickness, or color, but I know that these things take time. I’ve heard really great things about this brand, so I’m really going to try to stick it out for 1, maybe even 2, months to try to see some improvement. Aside from the test for growth in lash length and thickness, I think this product does a tremendous job with keeping my eyelashes healthy and moisturized. The day after my first application, I noticed how soft my lashes were when I woke up the next morning. And ever since I started using this product every night, I’ve noticed fewer lashes falling out, and I know this can contribute to the extended growth and fuller look to my lashes in the long term, so that’s great! This product doesn’t smell bad but it does remind me of burnt coffee beans, which honestly isn’t that bad of a smell. And I love that I can use this in my hair for a deep conditioning mask or for extremely dry parts of my body! While I don’t see results for length and thickness yet, I love how moisturizing the castor oil is for my lashes, and I will certainly keep updating every week from now, hopefully with positive results!
HIKI is for everybody
The pandemic has caused disruptions for many of us. Vegan and cruelty free, HIKI was just minutes away from launching when these disruptions interrupted their initial plans. The brand decided to place a hold on their launch out of respect for all the uncertainties. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was done in good taste! In exchange, they decided to offer front line workers, from surgeon to janitors, free personal care items. They also ran a social media campaign to offer products to anyone else in exchange for posting about how they were doing. Their goal was to encourage others through honesty and compassion. HIKI is for EVERY BODY. This brand is all about self acceptance and finding empowerment through self-love and self-care. Their journey to launch is a remarkable one. Because HIKI deodorant is all natural, your body might need to adjust to the lack of chemicals that are typically found in most commercial deodorants. Their website has a very well written, in-depth article on just what you need to do to give your body the grace it needs to make the adjustment! I’m currently using their deodorant in the scent Fresh Wood. It reminds me of mid-summer, late night bonfires! HIKI - Fresh Wood Deodorant

CBD? In a natural deodorant? 💚
Over the past year and a half I’ve been trying to find more natural deodorant options that work for me. So far I’ve tried Schmidt’s, Native, Kopari, LaVanila, and Type: A. In the past I had tried the original Kopari deodorant and liked it which is why I was so excited when they came out with the KOPARI - CBD Deodorant . I’ve also been trying a bunch of CBD products lately so this seemed to be the best of both worlds. This deodorant retails $18 for 2 oz (let me say I would not pay full price for this. I think $18 for a deodorant is insane. I ended up getting mine on sale for half off and I’ve seen it on sale a lot lately). Kopari claims this clean, extra strength deodorant helps combat order causing bacteria while soothing the delicate underarm skin. It is also vegan, aluminum free, and baking soda free. Like I said above I think this is extremely over priced for what it is. That being said I do still really like it. The coconut oil/coconut water/sage oil/CBD base helps the deodorant glide onto the skin (it feels almost like those blue gel deodorants). I’ve seen friends experience burns from natural deodorant before and Kopari is a brand I’ve never experienced that from. As far as deodorants go it is one of the most gentle and soothing brands I’ve experienced. They claim the formula is clear which I do find to be true. I’ve yet to get any sticky, white deodorant residue stains on any of my work clothes which I find a win. It does have a light, pleasant herbal scent to it which you can smell when applied. I’m not usually a fan of herbal scents but I do really enjoy this one. I find depending on the day at work this works pretty well. If it’s a busy day I can get a tiny bit sweaty but nothing another roll of my deodorant can’t fix. On days where I’m not running around this usually lasts me my whole shift no problem. I think it does a pretty good job at preventing me from stinking throughout the day. I think if you can find it on sale it’s worth trying.

HAVE SWEATING PROBLEM BUT LOVE THIS NATURAL DEO
I’ve been loving theAURELIA PROBIOTIC SKINCARE - Botanical Cream Deodorant , which is surprising given I have a major sweating problem..... It’s cooling, refreshing and overall I sweat less when wearing as opposed to when wearing traditional deodorant. I just have to make sure I reapply halfway throughout the day but other than that it is very effective. Since I started using ive also noticed I feel less self-conscious about lifting my arms up when wearing sleeveless shirts/tank tops. My old deodorant used to make my underarms dry, white and sometimes even flaky but this stuff is completely invisible ✨

Anyone heard of this ✨𝑎𝑚𝑎𝑧𝑖𝑛𝑔✨ Oil?!
So, I can exactly remember how I found this oil, but I think someone gave it to me. For about every day since, I’ve been putting a little bit on my nails and cuticles, and it really helped my nails grow. I’ve hardly gotten any hangnails too. My nails were also really damaged from gel and acrylic, and it’s helping them recover. This oil can be used for hair, body, or nails. It’s not a face serum though, and I’ve only used it for my nails :) Really recommend for those with damaged nails 💕 PROVENCE BEAUTY - Multi-Use Oil Peony
