easy body physical exfoliation

**not my photo! While I love a good chemical exfoliant for my face, I really find that it’s not really enough for the skin on my body. I use a glycolic acid body wash almost every day and I still end up with sticky skin even after I moisturize. I’ve tried body scrubs and while they can be effective, I feel like I waste a lot of product because it dissolves so easily. I also find that my chest, especially between my boobs, has these little bumps and it gets somewhat oily . I was listening to the “Fake Doctors, Real Friends” podcast (ANYBODY A “SCRUBS” FAN???!!!), and they mentioned washing their bodies with washcloths. So I decided to try it! I just took an old face washcloth that is a little more on the rough side rather than the soft and I lathered it up with my Dove - Beauty Bar Soap
and began scrubbing all over my body. While I’m sure it doesn’t match the intensity of a Korean scrub, I imagine it’s a step toward that amazing exfoliation treatment. As soon as I stepped out of the shower, I could feel the smoothness of my skin and my body lotion went on very smoothly with minimal stickiness. I love how easy it is to use a washcloth and although all the bumps and the sweaty feeling on my chest isn’t completely gone, I love how smooth it immediately makes my skin feel. I have a ton of washcloths and I always use a new washcloth each time I exfoliate, and I always follow up with my Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion
to seal in the moisture. I’ve been wanting to try a dry brush if anyone has recommendations! What other ways do you use to exfoliate your body?

How To Get The Softest Legs On Earth
One thing I absolutely hate on myself is body hair. I always have, I like silky smooth skin. I do everything I can to remove the hair & achieve the smoothness I desire. Of course with the way I usually remove it, shaving, there comes some consequences, like razor burn, red bumps, cuts, ya know. So I have search near & far for products to prevent that & will give me smooth legs in particular because that’s the part of my body I shave the most! So I have come up with a whole routine to keep my legs hairless & smooth! & I am now ready to share that routine with all of you! Here goes nothing. 1. I will wash my body with either a body wash or just Dove bar soap. 🧼 2. Shave with a NEW disposable razor 🪒 Lately I’ve been using Soliel brand. 3. Wash legs & the rest of my body with Dove Exfoliating Body Polish. I love this stuff, it makes my skin soooo soft & it smells amazing! My favorite scent is the Pomegranate Seeds & Shea Butter. 4. Turn off the water in the shower & while your body is still wet, rub OGX Lavender Essential Oil Wet Skin Lotion. This stuff is literal MAGIC! Not only does it somehow prevent those pesky red dots & bumps from appearing where I just shaved but it makes my skin extremely soft & smell amazing!! 5. Step out of the shower, place a bathrobe, towel dry hair & do hair routine. By the time I’m done with that, the Wet Skin Lotion will have fully absorbed. Now I go over my whole body with regular lotion. My two favorites right now are Jergens Body Butter Lavender & Love, Beauty, & Planet Argan Oil & Lavender. (Yes, I’m currently on a Lavender kick if you haven’t noticed lol I switch back & forth between that & Rose scents) & I’m done! My skin is clean, silky smooth, & there isn’t a blemish (from shaving) in sight! Try it out & you’ll never shave the same again! Thanks for reading! Talk to you guys soon 💖💋 @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick Dove - Beauty Bar Soap BIC Soleil - Soleil Color Collection Disposable Razors Dove - Exfoliating Body Polish Body Scrub JERGENS - Lavender Body Butter LOVE beauty AND planet - Argan Oil and Lavender Soothe & Serene Body Lotion

Suffering from eczema—a derm doc’s faves ✨
Eczema tips from a dermatologist (and someone with eczema) 👇🏽 • Use fragrance-free or unscented skincare products. My favorites include @aquaphor, @cerave, @cetaphil, and @laroche posay. • Use a gentle soap. @dove unscented bar soap is one of my favorites. Often body washes and shower gels have added alcohols which can be more drying. • Moisturize your skin right after bathing, the dampness will help the moisturizers work as a hydrating barrier. • Shower or bathe with short (5-10 minutes only!) lukewarm water. • Ointments are preferred to creams and lotions, in my opinion, the greasier the better. Try @aquaphor or @vaseline. • Use a fragrance free and dye free laundry detergent. A personal favorite is @all free and clear detergent. • Wear loose-fitting clothing, preferably cotton. Wool is a major irritant for me and can be found in many articles of clothing, accessories, swaddles, and even baby car seats and carriers (!) • Avoid scratching the skin as an open skin barrier predisposes eczematous skin to skin infections. Keep fingernails short to prevent additional damage done by scratching. • Consider seeing a dermatologist if you feel that your eczema is not controlled or is worsening. Informational post only, should not be construed as medical advice.

Minimize trauma to the skin after picking🧖🏾‍♀️
as someone who suffers from dermatillomania, it can be very triggering when breakouts come out of nowhere and return with no warning...especially when life isn’t always easy. which may trigger you to pick even more. some of these products really helped repair the broken skin i was creating for myself from picking without further irritating. i am still trying to put together a perfect post picking routine. (Which will go up here ASAP.) However, what i do know is that HYDRATION post picking is very important. if you can’t help yourself but pop pimples or pick at your skin, pls drop the tools & use q tips!! the closer to the surface the acne is, the better! before and after picking its important to wash your hands and cleanse your skin. I go straight for theCeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser I like this for treating irritated, broken skin/ scabs on my face because it’s non irritating and doesn’t further strip the already broken skin when cleansing. This cleanser hasn’t really helped much with existing (comedongenic) acne for me. But it is good for this. Right after, i go straight for HOLIKA HOLIKA - Aloe 99% Soothing Gel & CeraVe - Healing Ointment I LOVEEEE both of these products. They’ve helped calm irritation, and resurface scars both on my face and my body but also helps the scabs fall off a bit quicker with less trauma to the skin. Add some hyluaronic acid to this mixture!! After this, I applyAveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion This lotion has really helped fade acne scars alone/ used with other products. The dimethicone in this product works as a skin protectant. If I am headed outside, (Though this mini routine is ideal for the night time, I would apply my BLACK GIRL SUNSCREEN - Black Girl Sunscreen SPF 30 SPF is very important for us pickers. Don’t skip the SPF! 🧴Avoid any chemical exfoliants or tugging or scrubbing at the broken skin until the lesion and scab has healed! Make sure to keep the scabs moisturized!

How to get beautiful, glowing skin :)
Here is what I do to get that nice glowy, dewy look in the morning. I start by holding an almost hot towel to my face and leaving it for about half a minute. Rub the towel on your skin to wake it up. Once dry, use a moisturizer. I use Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion because it's light on the skin, not oily, and abosrbs quickly. After I use my sukin eye cream sukin - Eye Serum to brighten up my eyes. This product is all natural without harmful chemicals like PEGs and parabens and works on all skin types. I go ahead with#Rejuva Minerals - Loose concealer powder[products]#[FiveStars] to cover up my under eye circles a bit and redness on my nose. Follow with light blush in the cheeks, I use #Rejuva Minerals - Peach Pink pressed blush[products]#[FiveStars] because it give your face that full, awake look. There you go, an all natural, less than five minutes look. Follow with mascara if you're looking for a bolder eye.

It is nothing less than a mystery why few incredible skincare ingredients keep on flying under the radar, although research indicating that they deserve to be introduced in your skincare routine. The azelaic acid is among those amazingly beneficial ingredients!
