a lovely, lovely setting powder
I’ve tried a number of setting powders, but none of them live up to this one! The laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder
Laura Mercier Powder Overhypped?? 🤯💜
This was one of my first high-end makeup purchases! I ended up buying a sample size because I just wanted to give this product a try before committing to the larger product, and I was not disappointed 😻 I have used this product with drugstore foundation, high-end foundation, medium coverage, full coverage, well basically every foundation you can think of! Each and everytime my skin had a beautiful finish and never felt dry or flakey! I appreciate that they've also added more shades to the line! When I originally purchased this I believe they only had 2 colours, and now their shade range is much wider. My only concern is that if your skin is acne prone there are a few ingredients int he formula that do cause fungal acne. So I would maybe try this out in areas where you aren’t prone to breakouts for a bit and see how your skin reacts. Will I repurchase - I did end up buying the larger size after I ran out of my sample.. it has lasted me a while, but there are a few other powder products I’m loving right now that I will keep using.

✨Product Claims vs My Thoughts✨
I have typically oily skin that occasionally breaks out or gets dry patches. First, let’s start with the ONE positive about this product. ✅ brightens skin and helps even out skin tone due to the 100% L-Ascorbic Acid that it’s formulated with. It’s a pure form of Vitamin C that helps to neutralize free radicals and improves skin texture and and tone when used with other products (due to the crystallized formula), which I’ve noticed happens with most Vitamin C products since I see results! I noticed that my acne scars have faded some while using this. I can’t say that’s from this product alone though since I mixed it into other products that were already helping to fade my acne scars. I’m not sure if the crystallized formula really helps the skin better absorb this; I don’t enjoy the extra effort of having to mix it into one of my serums and moisturizers, it takes too long. This also claims that the pure form of Vitamin C reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I haven’t noticed any firmness or hydration from this product, but of which it claims. Plus the packaging is TERRIBLE! You have to press that circle thing in (shown in second pic), but it’s super hard to do and when I finally pushed it in after trying multiple objects, half of the product spilled out everywhere!!! I was beyond mad. It’s also hard to spin the top around to close and open it, plus hard to dump out the correct amount without it spilling out everywhere. So glad I got this in my FabFitFun box and didn’t pay full price for this or I would have been really mad. I’m not impressed by this product at all, literally no point to it at all and the packaging is too hard to work with. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, even my worst enemy 😂. This is not worth any sort of money nor the time it takes to try and make this work. COSMEDIX - Pure Mixing Crystals Vitamin C Powder Price: $54 for 0.2 oz / 6 g Rating: 1/5

🧀touch in SOL No Poreblem Primer🧀
touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer About me 🤗 and the product 🧀Skin type/skin tone I have combination skin. My t-zone is in the range of normal to oily skin and I have dry skin on my cheeks. My skin tone is warm ivory with a slight reddish discoloration in my cheeks 🧐I also have some freckles across my cheeks and my nose bridge. My skin type for the rest of my body is dry. 🧀Product function The product claims to smoothen out pores, wrinkles, and uneven texture to create the perfect canvas 🎨 for your flawless makeup 💄. 🧀Texture/consistency The product is slightly clear and is creamy. It glides onto the skin smoothly and doesn’t clump up anywhere after applying it. 🧀Packaging The packaging is a simple glass pump bottle. The pump makes it easy to dispense the product and control how much comes out. I accidentally dropped the bottle from my counter and I freaked out thinking it’ll break since it’s glass 😱but it actually didn’t break! The glass is extremely durable! Beauty story📖 🧀Overall experience This product is the very first primer that I have tried when I started testing out makeup and I’ve been using it since. I’ve tried others but have always came back to this one. After using this product I can visibly see my pores disappear and smoothen out my skin! 🧀Verdict ❤️ I really like this product because after applying it, I’ve noticed that my foundation stays out and lasts for the whole day! I feel like there is also minimal oxidation and my skin doesn’t become as oily. 🧀Recommend?✅ I would totally recommend this product to all skin types since it does not dry out the skin nor does it make the skin overly greasy. It does it’s job in smoothing out the skin and keeps my makeup in place. I’ve been using this product for a while and it has not caused any irritation nor has it caused any breakouts 👍🏻. 🧀Worth it?💰 This product is around $18 for 30ml so I feel like it is decently priced 👌🏻. I feel like it’s really worth it to try out the product if you’re curious and want to try new products out.

A nice but not essential product
So here’s my thing with face mists: I enjoy them, but not enough time actually buy them. They feel good and smell good, but I’ve never seen any actual results from using them so I decided a long time ago that I would rather spend my money on products that give me results. With that being said, I still like to use mists if they’re gifted to me. I won this one in a giveaway, and while I’ve been enjoying it, I don’t plan to purchase it once it’s empty. I typically use it to set my makeup, and sometimes I use it at night before I put on my moisturizers. It smells good and the mist is very fine, which I love. However, I haven’t seen it follow through on its claims to visibly tighten pores or smooth features (I doubt any mist could do that). I would not pay $49 for the full 100ml of this. It’s very nice as a mist goes, but I prefer to spend that kind of money on hard-hitting products like serums. I wouldn’t recommend this purely because of the price.

👀✨LETS TALK EMPTIES✨👀
Evidently I just can NOT get enough of primers because my empties ONLY consist of primers 😝 Too Faced - Hangover Primer The primer hydrates, brightens, and gives your skin a dewy healthy glow. The coconut water is it’s secret weapon, helping it smell and feel great on the skin. As well as obviously helping the hydration and level of glow. With a more oily t-zone, even I enjoy this product to the fullest. The consistency is milky and almost watery- similar to a thin moisturizer. That could be a turn off for some. 5/5 fARSÁLI - Skintune Blur Perfecting Primer Serum This a hybrid of serum and primer- it’s supposed to softly blur your skin, reduce the appearance of pores and imperfections, while creating a brightened effect. When I tried this, I felt that it LIVED UP to its claims and descriptions! The ingredients speak for themselves and the results are the home run hit you need to find yourself wanting to repurchase this. Wit h ngredients such as: vitamin c to brighten, mushroom-derived poria cocos to soothe, and cucumber extract to condition. They claim you can use it as a serum, primer, or go ahead an add some into your foundation for a blurring filter. For a price tag like $54 I was impressed but there are other great items in the market too that unless this was YOUR holy grail- experience it once but keep trying others 😅 5/5 Too Faced - Primed & Peachy Primer Too Faced’s take on a more matte primer to go with their peachy line. Basically supposed to be everything hangover is except no coconut, it’s mattifying instead of hydrating. Should still brighten, blur, and smooth skin. I will say this smooths better than the hangover primer does. It works well, does have shine control, and I enjoy the smell- it just doesn’t wow. I enjoyed using it, but would never repurchase. 4/5 TULA SKINCARE - Blurring & Moisturizing Primer See my thoughts on a separate post. Spoiler Alert 🚨 5/5

Very Cherry Bright Vitamin C Serum
I love this serum. It helps me with dark spots and scarring from acne and smells so good. It’s a little sticky on the face after which I think adds a nice glow and would also work as a good primer. Love it!
