These products improved my acne in 3 weeks

avatar
kaz
Since March 2020 I started breaking out really bad. It got even worse in September and I think it was due to over exfoliation and irritated skin. I started using these products below 3 weeks ago and as you can see from the pictures my acne has noticeably improved. Most of the acne has subsided. The acne on my temples are almost non existent and just some redness remains. Also the redness on my cheeks are fading and are smaller in size. Current routine: Toner: ETUDE - Etude House SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner
Serums: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
and The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
Treatment: AZCLEAR - Medicated Lotion
Creams: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo (+)
and ETUDE - SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream
Retinol: DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream
Really happy with these products right now! I will continue using these products and might add Vitamin C as well. I will post another update in another 3 weeks, stay tuned 🙈

lenarosemHi, how do u like the azclear medicated lotion? I’ve been buying paulas choice azelaic acid but it’s expensive and u don’t get much product. I’ve been looking into this but it’s a higher percentage of azelaic acid too. Did u experience any purging or anything ?

kazI really like Azclear. I had a lot of pimples that didn’t go away and never came to a head. After using Azclear it helped push out the white stuff into a head, so I would say yes - it helped my skin purge. Since it’s 20% I wouldn’t use it daily, but probably every second day. Azclear is only ~$10-15 from memory and you can get it at Chemist Warehouse in Australia - I think it’s worth a try!

Update: my acne has reduced A LOT
I’ve been a bit MIA since my last post but here is the progress of my acne. If I were to pinpoint the main reasons why, then it’s these reasons: What I did wrong: - experimenting and using alot of different products. I was in a phase where I loved trying new products and my skin did not like that I was switching products all the time. - I did not spot test new products - overloaded my skin with many products. I don’t know who needs to hear this but a 10 step routine is NOT for acne prone skin. - drank little water each day - used harsh products without re-balancing my skin with soothing products - masked almost everyday What I did to improve it: - reduce the number of products going on my skin. I now use only a max of 3 products in the morning and 5 products at night. - drank 2 litres of water every day - used a soothing pH-balanced toner - used a GENTLE chemical exfoliant - used retinol regularly - masked only every 2-3 days Some products I use in my daily routine that really helped my skin: PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator as an all-over exfoliant PAULA'S CHOICE - BHA 9 Treatment as a spot treatment The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% to fade acne scars Products that I use every 2-3 days that helped my skin: AZCLEAR - Medicated Lotion (mixed with Niacinamide) to fade acne scars DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream to bring out new baby skin ANDALOU NATURALS - CannaCell Glow Mask as a gentle exfoliating mask If you are going through something similar just know to take it SLOWLY. The skin is going through trauma and it is not an overnight success. If you have any questions I’m happy to answer.

Face Picking Relapse & How I’m Moving Forward
So.. it happened. I relapsed and started picking my face again for the umpteenth time. I won’t lie, relapsing on a bad behavior like skin-picking sucks! I definitely beat myself up over it and even gave up entirely on stopping for a few weeks. That is, until I realized that feeling bad about myself and actively allowing myself to pick were absolutely never going to help me stop. The only way to stop is to be kind to myself and try again. Now, I’m choosing not to focus on my relapse or the fact that I was only able to stop for a few days. It’s happened many times before and it will surely happen again. After all, picking is a compulsion, and usually not a conscious choice. In addition to my other “stop picking” behaviors mentioned in my last post , here’s what I’ve been doing since my little revelation: Stopped keeping a tally of “days without picking”I realized I was way too hyper focused on the number of days I could go without picking and it was actually making me think about picking more. If I catch myself picking I stop and move on, I’m basically not making myself feel shame or guilt anymore. This has helped me significantly cut down on picking Started seeing a therapist. I’ve wanted to try therapy for years and finally gathered the courage to do it! My therapist has made it clear that this is a really tough thing to stop but she has been helping me identify why I pick which is something I had never given any thought to. This is helping me to try to find what helps me not pick and behaviors I can do when I feel that “urge”. Even if this doesn’t help me stop picking, it’s been so beneficial to my mental health already. Changed my thinking I’ve been reminding myself that picking is like hitting the “un-do” button on my routine that I’ve worked really hard to develope. My active acne is staying away and the urge to pick lessens significantly when I don’t have any scabs or spots to pick at. Some other things that have really been helping with my skin: DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator Krave - Oat So Simple Water Cream Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream *HG🙌🏼 HERO COSMETICS - Rescue Balm -this stuff seems to heal spots I pick at in hours! I put it on immediately after picking and before bed. Seriously helps cut down on scabs to pick at. I’ve also started to eat more anti-inflammatory food (currently obsessing over blueberries). It may or may not be a placebo effect but I swear my skin has been way less inflamed! First picture is when I “gave up”and second picture is my skin today. I still have a ways to go but I feel like I’m finally making progress.

Product Review: Skincare and Makeup
I received these item free in exchange for my honest review on them. Iv been using these products for about a month now. So here we go! 1. COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch Acne Pimple Master Patch $6. Firs of all holy value! These patches are actual magic. They are virtually invisible when on and I love how there are multiple sizes. It honestly cleared up deep pimples overnight. I’m going to stock up! 2. @LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo (+) Effaclar Duo Acne Treatment. I do not have very strong breakouts, while I wish I had this product in high school when my acne was really really bad this product was good but too strong/intense for where my skin is currently at. I used it on a few problem areas but it seems more like a long term treatment not a quick fix for someone like me. 3. MAYBELLINE - Mascara Lash Sensational Lash Sensational I loved the applicator but the formula itself was just not doing it for me. It clumped together on the brush and that transferred over to my lashes. I think the applicator is awesome but not the biggest fan of the formula. 4. MAYBELLINE - FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter Master Chrome Highlighter. I absolutely love this product! It provides a very natural glow that is PERFECT for literally everyday. It blends beautiful and I just really love it. 5. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin GOLD STAR! This cleanser is seriously the BOM! It’s affordable, gentle, and gets everything from lipstick to lash glue off your face. I’m buying the biggest bottle they have right now!

ETUDE - Etude House SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner a great fungal acne safe hydrating toner! better for dry skin, it would sometimes leave me oily at the end of the day. drunk elephant ————————— DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum although this serum isn’t fungal acne safe, my skin seems to enjoy it. it has a gel texture and actually regulates my oily forehead DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream another non fungal acne safe products. BUT doesn’t cause me to have breakouts!! its a thicc cream but doesn’t leave me feeling oily!! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream Deluxe Sample again... not fungal acne safe but STILL didn’t cause me to have any breakouts!! the protini feels similar in terms of thickness and the over all feeling on the skin but it feels more “ wearable “ first aid beauty ————————— FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Oil-Control Moisturizer i was super excited to tey this out because the ingredients are fungal acne safe and the claims were ideal for my skin type but sadly i was disappointed 😞 it didn’t control my oil but rather left mw with this shine on my forehead! and it didn’t moisture my dry cheeks. epic fail FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Coconut Water Cream this is a very basic fungal acne safe moisturizer i recommend to literally every one. i do like it and all but i find my skin still breaking out while i use this product. i would give it a 3 1/2 stars but i cant. CUROLOGY!!!! ———————— Curology - Curology formula Curology - Curology formula if you have fungal acne THIS is the treatment you NEED to try!!! my holy grail!! naturium ————— NATURIUM - Marine Hyaluronic Water Cream NATURIUM - Marine Hyaluronic Water Cream technically this moisturizer isn’t fungal acne safe because it contains polysorbate HOWEVER its one of the last ingredients listed so its not likely to have any affect. this is my FAVORITE MOISTURIZER!!! super affordable and feels luxurious and its amazing on my combo skin NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% my favorite fungal acne safe niacinamide serum!!! its affordable and it does exactly what it claims to do. literally cant get any better than this other lonely products ————————————- boscia - Green Tea Oil-Free Moisturizer this is a fungal acne safe moisturizer however its not very good at moisturizing or controlling oil 😕 but the packaging is cute i guess

The Best Advice For Choosing Skincare Products
Hey Beauty’s 🙋🏽‍♀️ So I’ve recommended a lot of products and thought I’d share some advice on how how I select skincare products these days. ☺️ Thanks to @babesandbeauty on Instagram for the advice. Products that you consistently use I noticed that I consistently use TruSkin - Vitamin C Serum which has Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and Vitamin E as my day Serum. I also have The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 for my night routine. I’ve started using Truskin’s Super Serum at night and now alternate between using a natural Retinol or Vitamin A Moisturiser and the Truskin Super Serum which has Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide, and Retinol. I now can’t live without my FORMULA 10.0.6 - Rise of the Foam Blemish Busting Cleanser I use this because of the salicylic acid and hemp oil as part of my double cleansing routine. I’m currently trialing products for my first cleanse. 😄 I noticed the ingredients are ideal for my issues which are rough texture, larger than average pores, dullness and my wrinkles and fine lines. For reducing the appearance of my fine lines and wrinkles I ❤️ hyaluronic acid!!!! Products that are ideal for your skin type I’m a little lucky in the fact that I have combination skin and can use a range of products for my issues. Treating the wrong skin type can lead to irritated skin, breakouts and premature aging. Choosing the correct skin care routine for your skin type is essential for making your skin appear youthful and healthy. Products that do not cause irritation to your skin barrier Our skin is the largest barrier against infection that we have. Keeping our skin healthy and moist helps keep this barrier strong. Using the proper skin care products for your skin type can help preserve this important protective layer. ☺️ Products that fit your budget and life The Ordinary creators have totally changed how we think about and buy skin care. Its allowed us to understand ingredients and offered them in ridiculously cheap formulas. It’s championed transparency in an industry that wants you to think expensive products are better. Nothing costs more than $20. In fact, the majority of it ranges at less than $10. This is largely in part thanks to The Ordinary's dedication to transparency, resulting in prices that aren't significantly marked up. Although if you can afford to spend $150 I’d recommend purchasing a Serum rather than a cleanser or moisturiser. Drop me a line about what you consider when you purchase skincare products. Is it the beautiful packaging, ingredient list or that you just saw a review and want to try it. ☺️ Have a wonderful day or evening Jade 🥂

When hydration is needed 💦
I am a dry skinned girl so I am always on the look out for hydrators and moisturizers. This is especially the case as I like to use actives in my routine and they can further dry out my skin. Hyaluronic acid is one of my go to ingredients as it draws moisture into my skin and it works well with other ingredients. The ordinary offers this serum which is great as it is super affordable and it works well with my skin. What is it: This is a hyaluronic acid serum with 3 different weighted molecules so that it can penetrate and hydrate different layers if the skin. Hyaluronic acids is a humectant meaning it absorbs moisture from the air and draws it into the skin. This serum also has b5 which helps nourish and soften the skin. Texture: This is a goopy and cloudy serum that is easily absorbed into my dry skin. Price: This sells at Sephora for $6.80 cad for 1 oz or $12.20 cad for 2oz How I use this: I use this along with my steamer to make sure that the air is moisture rich in order to draw moisture to my skin. This ensures I get the best result. Pros 👍: affordable 2 sizes available accessible effective cruelty free 🐰 Cons 👎: some people don’t like the texture you shouldn’t over use hyaluronic acid (check other products) The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 this is a super simple serum that has really helped my dry skin

Acne routine for dry skin
Mid last year I went off the pill (was on it for years for my skin) because of other health reason and my skin started breaking out around my chin AGAIN!! Now after a prior year on accutane my skin is on the dry to very dry side. Every night after applying a face oil it’s completed sucked up into my skin before bed. Therefore my acne routine must take into consideration how dry and flacky my skin can get Perfect routine that provides results!! One day a week I’ll apply the #The Inkey List - PHA Toner[products]#[FiveStars] PHA are such a gentle exfoliant doesn’t irritate the skin or make it feel dry and stripped. Afterwards I’ll use two pumps of the THE inkey LIST - C-50 Blemish Night Treatment which doesn’t sting or irritate my skin when I apply. To help with any potential dryness I’ll incorporate THE inkey LIST - Ceramide Hydrating Night Treatment this product is a life saviour and I swear by it for anyone with dry skin!! This is my perfect combo for my once a week acne treatment, the next day you can see how the redness and inflammation of my acne has gone down The rest of the week I’ll route between retinol and AZCLEAR - Medicated Lotion to help with any skin turn over and the hyperpigmentation left from my acne. Azeliac acid is such an under rated product that does once to help pigmentation and is super gentle on the skin. I’ll use this 2-3 days a week!! It’s a slow process but eventually you’ll see one good results

Why does my skin react different night vs day?
Over the years I have gone through hundreds of products figuring out what works for me. I have finally found a good set of products that I love, but sometimes when I use certain products in the daytime (such as Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil and certain facemasks, I breakout so much worse than I do when I use the same exact product at night! I am confused by this so I have been wondering if it’s related to my oil levels throughout the day or what? Should I be using more drying products in the day time and hydrating at night? The only ones that really work for me day and night are The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and THE BODY SHOP - Jumbo Tea Tree Oil although I know Hyram has said oils are not for the face

getting off makeup and clear skin with rosacea!
okay... so I know I've posted this before, and Cherie is (devastatingly) closing down, but I thought I'd share one last post. This really works. one is a prescription and there are a couple items missing, so I'll add them to the pictures. Here is the order they say to put on skincare (as depicted) 1) makeup remover/wash (I use Queen Helene cold cream that I SWEAR by, sometimes BURT’S BEES - BURT‘S BEES Sensitive Facial Cleanser ) 2) Facewash/second face wash (I use DERMA•E - Sensitive Skin Cleanser and Joeseph anti Acne soap 10% sulfur) 3) Toner (I use THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner ) 4) Serums (I use a few... my prescription Amzeeq, mostly The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% , and DERMA•E - Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum ) 5) Spot Treatments (Murad - Invisiscar Resurfacing Treatment , tea tree oil when needed) 6) Eye Cream (not pictured - DERMA•E - Firming DMAE Eye Lift Cream ) 7) Moisturizer (2 different kinds depending on how dry I am- pictured: Alba Botanica Aloe Green tea moisturizer, not pictured: skinfix - Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream ) 8) Retinol: Now, because I have rosacea, I use a retinol alternative. The best one for sensitive skin I found is The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion use at night only) 9) Face Oil: HEAR ME OUT: If you have oily skin, it's not the WORST thing to use an oil. As a matter of fact, it may work well. BEST ONE BY FAR IS ROSEHIP OIL. I can't tell you how amazing it is The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil , and JOSIE MARAN - Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment during the day) wear sunscreen during the day, and put it in place of retinol. I use Glossier. - Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen it's a great light moisturizer, too. And at night in the winter if it's super dry, I'll put petroleum jelly around the corners of my eyes and lips. The results don't lie, Cherie babes (: comment below I'd you know of a better eye cream.

Healed in under 1 week! How I prevented scarring
🐺So I have a 9 month old Siberian Husky, he’s got way too much energy for me sometimes. He totally booped me in the eye with his teeth & basically bit my eyelid. I was honestly so f***ing worried, eye skin is so sensitive & my skin scar easily, even from bruising. So how did I get this back to normal in 6 days? First things first... Regularly applying (yup, multiple times a day) SUNSCREEN will help prevent hyperpigmentation. ☀️When you get a cut or bruise, even a baby one, your skin barrier has been compromised. Even the healthiest skin barrier will not protect you from UV rays whatsoever & any new skin growing after an abrasion is extremely susceptible to UV damage, regardless of your skin tone! I’m super pale, but even with skin that doesn’t burn easily, newly generated skin tissue will become darker if you don’t use an SPF to protect it. I included a pic of a scratch I got from my dog several months ago, where I totally didn’t protect it from the sun. I can be lazy about body sunscreen & this proved to me that almost any broken skin will scar if it gets sun. I used: KINSHIP - Self Reflect Probiotic Moisturzing Sunscreen Zinc Oxide SPF 32 But honestly any sunscreen you like with a decent SPF is key for scar prevention. Reapply & reapply! I love this formula because it’s so moisturizing! Full review in a previous post. Keeping your skin hydrated & moisturized is super important too, you want to give your skin nourishment while it heals. Which brings me to the second most important thing. 🐌A repair serum: Beauty of Joseon - Repair Serum : Ginseng+Snail Mucin I have fully fallen in love with Snail Mucin after this serum! Because Snail Mucin is a stress-induced excretion, it's comprised of ingredients meant to repair or protect from injury. These include growth factors, which work by triggering the growth of new skin cells & new collagen. This particular serum is really affordable-$17. It contains over 3% Snail Mucin & it’s over 63% Ginseng extract, also amazing for skin repair & evening tone. Allantoin is another component in the secretion; healing properties, calms irritation & stimulates cell regeneration Also fragrance/alcohol free! Sulwhasoo - First Care Activating Serum Limited Edition This is also packed with Ginseng & other reparative botanical extracts. This really helps me retain moisture in my skin, I use it 2x a day & have noticed generally brighter & clearer skin in the last few months. You use this after cleansing or toning, before other serums. TATCHA - The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream After a couple days I added this. ETUDE - SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream Great for sensitive skin & has vitamin E. I alternated between this &: TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream Also used this: Beauty of Joseon - Glow Serum : Propolis+Niacinamide Almost 60% Propolis + 2% Niacinamide

🌜simple night time routine 🌛
My nighttime skincare routine is one of my favorite parts of the day. It’s the time when I begin to relax and take off everything the day has thrown at me. With that being said the nighttime skincare routine should be geared toward healing, treating, and repairing. It’s so important to have a well balanced nighttime routine. 🌜🌜🌜🌜 My first step is always using BIODERMA - Sébium H2O it’s the best micellar water I have ever tried and it’s super gentle. Oily/combo skin folks will LOVE this because it really does do a great job breaking down oil and removing dirt/makeup. (not pictured) Step two is always COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser Although it says morning I always use it at night because it’s pH balanced and very gentle. It won’t strip your skin which is so important especially if you plan to go in with active ingredients after. Step 3 on DAMP skin I apply The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 it helps my skin retain moisture and prepares it for the next steps in my routine (not pictured for a detailed review see my previous post) Step 4 I pat in ETUDE - SoonJung pH 5.5 Relief Toner which is my absolute HOLY GRAIL toners, it not only keeps skin hydrated, but it’s also pH balanced and helps protect the skin barrier. This is probably my 20th bottle of this stuff. It’s incredible. Step 5 Is ETHEIR DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel or The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I would never use these in the same routine. Instead I alternate and use each one every other day. Differin is a great product , it helped clear my skin up so fast. (I do plan on doing a more detailed review soon so stay tuned) The niacinamide has also worked amazing in balancing my sebum production and lightening my hyperpigmentation. Both of these products are amazing if you suffer from acne. Step 6 I use my MIZON - Snail Repair Eye Cream which I’ve talked about before. It’s really moisturizing and if you have very allergy prone eyes like me this is an absolute MUST. The price is also really affordable! Step 7 ETUDE - SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream My last and favorite step is of course this moisturizer by Etude House, I use it day and night and I can’t sing it’s praises enough. It’s just the perfect fit for all skin types and does an amazing job at protecting the skin barrier. 🌛🌛🌛🌛 Do you use any of these products or would you like a more detailed reviews on a specific part of my routine? Let me know! Sweet Dreams!

New to skincare and looking for suggestions
New to skincare and looking for suggestions
Hi all. I'm relatively new to this whole properly taking care of my skin thing. I have combination skin, uneven skin tone, large pores and redness/discolouration. I've recently incorporated these products: Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Creami think i'm going to switch this out to the regular skin, as i'm finding it really makes my face oily. I do, however, need the moisturizer mostly around/on my nose. Or for when my pimples dry out. C&C by Clean & Clear - Persa-Gel 10, Maximum Strengthuse this mostly as a spot treatment. It dries my skin out a little bit, but i find it really helps flatten my pimples pretty quickly. I've only been using this product for a few days. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%literally just started using this today. As you can tell, i have MASSIVE pores. I have for as long as i can remember. Lately, it's really bothering me that my makeup sinks into my pores. I got a new pore primer today though and, so far, I'm impressed! Neutrogena - Pore Refining Cleanseronly been using this one for a few days. So far i'm pretty happy with it! Feels great on my skin and the scrub has been helping remove dry skin. I have also started using a salicylic acid acne treatment, for Clean & Clear. It's supposed to help remove blackheads. I have always been very nervous to use toners as I had bad luck with the Pro Activ system as a teen. This dries my skin out a bit, but i do find it helps reduce the oiliness throughout the day, especially at work when I have a full face of makeup on. I'm trying to give my skin as much of a break as possible when I'm not at work. I wake up really oily no matter what, but I'm wondering if this is just a regular thing for people? I hate it lmao I'm extremely self concious about my skin. I hate it and I have since i first got acne at age 10. It was so bad, I'm pretty sure my pores are also so big because they're probably partially acne scars. Any suggestions would be great!! I find my skin is a little sensitive, but i'm quickly getting used to the burning of the toner lol Thanks in advance :)

Sensitive Acne Prone Routine
Sensitive Acne Prone Routine
Hi there! I have superrrrr sensitive skin that breaks out to everything so I’m here to help out anyone else’s face that hates them too. I have three different night routines that I do in order to not pile on a bunch of products in one day. Am 🦐 splash face with water 🦐 CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin 🦐 Neutrogena - On-the-Spot Acne Treatment I don’t use a cleanser in the morning, with my sensitive skin, washing it twice makes it too overly irritated. Instead, I wash it with water and follow with a gentle skin moisturizer/SPF, and spot treatment as needed. Pm A - Acne-fighting 🦖 CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser 🦖 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 🦖 DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel 🦖 CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin The SA cleanser is very gentle and effective for diminishing breakouts, and doesn’t strip the skin of its natural barrier. This is super important if you are using treatments, as too many can be damaging. I follow up with a water-based serum (niacinamide) that targets oil production, acne, hyperpigmentation, and dark spots. Then finish with an acne treatment and moisturizer. Pm B - Calm routine 🪐 BURT’S BEES - Face Cleanser for Sensitive Skin 🪐 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 🪐DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel 🪐 CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin I have a “calm” routine to take a break from other treatments I do during the week. My skin gets really irritated if it’s bombarded with a ton of products so I use this night as a breather for my skin. Typically that means the differin gel as well as niacinamide and moisturizer. Pm C - Brightening routine 🍌 pūrlisse - Watermelon + Charcoal Purifying Cleanser 🍌 The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution 🍌 LUÉ by Jean Seo - BALANCE 🍌DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel 🍌 CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin This one is my favorite! The watermelon cleanser is my favorite thing I’ve put on my face. It’s gentle, brightens, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or dull. It makes my skin glowy and supple and I’m close to dying for it. Glycolic acid is a chemical exfoliant that brightens, smooths skin texture, and uneven tone, as well as working as an acne fighter!! It’s greta if your skin can tolerate it. If not, I’d go with The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA. Next, I like to put in a calming serum for hydration and letting my skin calm the f*** down from the exfoliant. Then typical moisturizer and differin gel. I hope this helped for those of you that are looking to treat your face without pissing it off! Good luck to all you SSPs!

I have always had bumps on my chin (I’m a picker so sorry you can’t see them) they are under the skin so when I try to pop them I never get it all and it comes back. Is this fungal acne? Is it hormonal? It’s been doing it the most now that I switch to the CeraVe - Hydrating Facial CleanserI also was using these products from the ordinary The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution(rarely, only to remove access makeup after face wash) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 which I have stopped using because of the breakouts. I use CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30and CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotioncompared to four year ago this is nothing but I take Taytulla (specially for acne) so it’s frustrating I have to deal with these breakouts especially a huge patch on my chin that don’t even go away. Someone help🥺 am I doing this skin thing right??

Updated Oily skin care routine!!!🌞🌞
Updated Oily skin care routine!!!🌞🌞
*TUTORIAL ON MY INSTA (user in bio)** I have changed my routine due to many reasons But the main reason is I thought I had oily skin. Turns out I do but my skin type is actually more normal then oily. I went and got a facial recently and my lady had asked me about all the products I was using... when I told her I was shocked to know that everything I was doing was all wrong for my skin! I was in fact actually drying out my skin and doing everything in the wrong order. Aswell as putting way too many acids and chemicals on my skin at once that there was no way for it to react naturally to that. To start off I wash my face with the sa smoothing cleanser from cerave every other night, and I switch off with the cervave hydrating cleanser/ or foaming cleanser. I will switch off with those two based on whether I’m feeling more greasy that night or not. I also use the 60 second rule. I will wash my face and gently scrub in small circles for 60 seconds then rinse with colder water which is better for your pores. Once my face is washed I go in with the niacinamide and hyaluronic acid from the ordinary. I mix them together in my palm and gently pat them into my skin These two serums are really good and have helped my skin a lot within the past 2 weeks! Also a psa, when putting on these serums you will have better results if you keep your face damp. The hyaluronic acid is a water based product that pretty much needs water to help lock it into your face. After that I go in with a vibrating face roller to de puff and really sink all that product into my pores . FINISHING TOUCH FLAWLESS - Flawless Contour I got this one for a very low price and it’s always cold and feels amazing on my face. After I use it I check to see the before and after of my de-puffing process . For my last two steps I use the dermalogica retinol clearing oil, this product is my new holy grail bc every night I put it on I wake up feeling clean and have results of much lighter acne scars or dark spots. I also use the cerave skin renewing night cream inehich contains healing ceramides and acids that leave you waking up smooth and hydrated!!

Review my routine for... redness 😚😚
Review my routine for... redness 😚😚
My main skin concern is redness (maybe mild rosacea?) on my cheeks and t-zone. It always looks like I am blushing and makes my face feel hot, so it is something I am always trying to solve! The two main redness-reducing products I use are the Niacinamide and EUK 134. The rest of the products I have included here are those that are just gentle and soothing in general. Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser : This cleanser is so gentle on my skin and never leaves my skin feeling tight. It is perfect for my sensitive skin. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% : I was recommended this product by @leena.tabajaand@jane_brownto help even my skin tone! After doing some research, I found out that this is great for getting rid of dark spots, soothing redness AND decongesting pores, so I was sold! I have been using this in combination with the EUK serum for 2-3 weeks, and it has honestly made a world of a difference. I use this product in the morning so that I can still use my Tatcha Violet-C serum at night. Apparently Niacinamide can negate the effects of Vitamin C, so they always need to be used at alternating times. Kate Somerville - Goat Milk Moisturizing Cream : This is a perfect lightweight moisturizer for summertime. It is gentle and gets the job done! COOLA - Full Spectrum 360° Sun Silk Drops Organic Face Sunscreen SPF 30 : Always have to have SPF as part of the routine! This is the one I am currently using. It is lightweight but does have a pretty strong sunscreen smell. But it definitely gets the job done. With sensitive skin like mine, you should always use SPF. TATCHA - Violet-C Brightening Serum 20% Vitamin C + 10% AHA : I use this product at night to help even out my skin tone and give my skin a boost of antioxidants. It is a bit overpriced. I definitely enjoy using it, but definitely won’t repurchase. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator : Since I have sensitive skin, I need to use a very gentle exfoliant. This leave-on exfoliant always leaves my skin feeling soothed and not stripped. This is a holy grail product that I will purchase again and again! The Ordinary - EUK 134 0.1% : This serum has a long scientific explanation of why it works, but basically it is designed specifically to soothe redness! It feels more like an oil than a serum and burned the first couple of times I used it, but my skin got used to it fairly quickly. Like I mentioned above, I use this at night to go along with my Niacinamide. The two together are really soothing my redness, and these are the only products I have ever used that do. And since they are both by The Ordinary, they are both under $10. So… rate my routine!! 🤗🤗🤗

Skincare routine for my sensitive skin!!
Skincare routine for my sensitive skin!!
My skin type: sensitive & acne-prone skin · STEP1: FIRST AID BEAUTY - Gentle Foaming Face Cleanser I have used it for a month, and I seriously love this stuff, super gentle on my sensitive skin! It's a silky formula that leaves my skin very soft. I only had a few minor breakouts, but nothing like I had before. The bottle is pretty big, so it'll last me a while, but I'll be repurchasing this once I run out! · STEP2: Darphin - INTRAL Toner I have sensitive skin and have always had adverse reactions to toners, so I skip them. However, I love the intral cleansing milk, so I was curious about this toner and saw such good reviews about it helping others with their redness, so I asked for a trial size of it from a store. After using it each day, I had to buy it. It's easily the most gentle and soothing toner I've ever used. It reduces my redness and feels calming to put on. · STEP3: CAUDALIE - Vinosource SOS Deep Hydration Serum I love this serum! Whenever my face is irritated, I apply it before bed, and by the next day, my skin is smooth, and the serum helps to calm the breakout or tired skin. It is gentle, hydrates, and works well for sensitive skin. It did not fix my dark spots altogether, but it does even out the skin a little. Give it a try :)
