Nighttime Daily Routine
I started this routine a few months ago and it has been working for my dry skin. I start with micellar water Simple - Kind to Skin Micellar Cleasing Water This helps remove makeup from my face before cleansing. It’s gentle and does not irritate my skin. Even when I don’t wear makeup I use it because of the tint in my sunscreen. Then I cleanse CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin I use this product and it does not dry out my skin at all, it takes a while to get used to the lotion texture of it. This cleanser does not remove makeup well for me and that’s also why I use the micellar water. Then Niacinamide The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I use this because it works well with the retinol and helps reduce irritation that can be caused by the retinol. I am interested in trying a different Niacinamide because I read the percentage in this is higher than necessary Then retinol VERSED - PRESS RESTART I got this retinol, because I heard it was great for beginners. After I finish with this I am looking to try something new. I started using it only 1x/week and slowly increased. I now use 5x/week Then moisturizer CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream I chose a cream over the lotion because it is thicker and is better for the dryer winter months. I used to wake up with dry skin on my forehead and around my lips, but since using this it has really helped! JOSIE MARAN - 100% Pure Argan Oil I started using this oil when my face my feeling extra dry, but have recently added it to my routine every night because I love the way it makes my face feel. I feel like my skin is glowing when I wake up in the morning. I love the consistency, it’s not thick or heavy. It is pricey, but totally worth it for dry skin in the winter. 2x/week I exfoliate The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA I use this AHA on the days that I don’t use the retinol. Retinol and AHAs should not be used together I read that it was a good option for dry skin.

Current Morning Routine
I started this routine 1/4/2021 It’s been working great for me so far! First I will do a water cleanse then use Vitamin C timeless SKIN CARE - 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum I like this because of the added Vitamin E and ferulic acid Then I apply Hyaluronic acid The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 This one is okay, it feels a bit sticky on my face. When it runs out I’m going to replace it with the Hyaluronic acid from the Inkey List. Then Eye Cream THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream Then moisturizer THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer I like the way it dispenses, I pump is enough for my face and neck And then most importantly SPF elta md SKINCARE - UV Daily Tinted Broad-Spectrum SPF 40 This is my favorite SPF I have tried so far! Makes my face feel moisturizer and feels light on my face. It’s tinted so no white cast!

CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin I like this cleanser I have dry skin and this does not dry out my skin at all and feels great after cleansing. It is really gentle on the skin. It does take some getting used to, it feels lotiony on the skin and does not foam up. I use this product only at night after using micellar water. I have to use the micellar water before because this cleanser does not remove makeup easily. This is the only cleanser I have tried so far and I think once it’s empty I want to try a different one. Any recommendations on a cleanser for dry skin?

elta md SKINCARE - UV Daily Tinted Broad-Spectrum SPF 40 Absolutely love this sunscreen! I use 1 pump and is enough for my face! Feels great on my skin and is tinted so it does not leave a white cast I don’t wear foundation very often, but do feel a little self conscious about my red cheeks. I don’t know if it’s because it’s tinted, but I feel like it helps even out my skin tone It is not thick in consistency and helps my skin feel hydrated as well My face does look a little greasy right after application, but I have dry skin so I don’t mind and it looks great after about 15 minutes. It is a bit pricey, but totally worth it. If I’m gonna splurge on anything it should be sunscreen, right? CeraVe - Hydrating Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50 I absolutely did not like this sunscreen, but when I purchased it I did not grab the tinted one. It was very thick in consistency and did not easily rub into my skin. It left the worst white cast on my face that I have ever had. I want to try the tinted version of this sunscreen, but I feel like I would be disappointed and would probably prefer to try something else. I usually don’t return items because I figure I’ll use it eventually, but I had to return it I just really did not like this product. The Ordinary - Mineral UV Filters SPF 30 with Antioxidants I think this sunscreen is okay, I keep it in my car just in case The consistency is thicker than I like and I feel like I really have to rub it into my skin There is a little tint to it, but it still leaves a bit of a white cast that goes away quickly Neutrogena - Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid-Lotion Sunscreen SPF 55 I bought this product before I knew the difference between chemical and physical sunscreens. This one is a chemical sunscreen, I’m pretty sure this one is chemical. It does have that sunscreen smell I like it because it is light and goes on easily, it does not leave my face feeling dry I basically just use on my face before I go on my morning runs, before I wash my face and do my whole morning routine.

Battle of the Vitamin C’s!
Okay y’all, I’ve been trying to find the perfect Vitamin C to add to my routine and it’s been challenging. Since quarantine started, I’ve tried 3 different options from different brands and I’m here to share my review. I’ll start by saying that I’m not completely sold on any of these as a permanent addition so if you have any favourite Vitamin C’s comment below! I’ll add my reviews from least favourite to most... let’s go ✨ 3. THE inkey LIST - Vitamin C Serum 30ml This was my first The Inkey List purchase and while I love the price, I’m not a big fan of this formula. I found the cream (which is marketed as a serum) really thick and does not spread great on the skin. I found I had to use a lot to get the appropriate coverage or hydration that I expect for something with 30% L-Ascorbic acid. Disappointing overall 👎🏽 2. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Pure Vitamin C Face Serum I loved the texture of this serum! It was spreadable but not liquidy. It had a slight tack to it, but played really nicely with my following morning routine steps. I experienced no irritation. 3. REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream Another solid option! This was a true light cream texture that I was able to easily apply prior to my moisturizer, sunscreen and any makeup. I experienced no irritation. All that to say, I did find 2 solid options for a Vitamin C product, the only downside to both the La Roche Posay and REN products was the price of the full-size product 💵 I was able to try both of these out with the minis, but it’ll be hard to justify repurchasing the full size. I think the REN sliiiightly edges out the La Roche Posay as a favourite for this review. I do have the full size of The Inkey List tube so I’m using that up before I make a decision! If you have any thoughts of suggestions, let me know below! 💁🏽♀️
