Morning Routine for PIH & Oily Skin

I've finished some of these products up but this was what I've used to keep my skin clear and bright! 1. Kosmetic Immunity Enzyme Cleansing Powder - a gentle cleanser that leaves the skin feeling clean using enzymes to eat away at the dry skin. This is super gentle and goals up into a rich lather! I have a ton of cleansers but continue to reach for this often. 2. TOWER 28 - SOS Save.Our.Skin Daily Rescue Facial Spray
is my secret weapon against breakouts. It's super simple mist made up of three ingredients - water, sodium chloride and hypochlorous acid. Hypochlorous acid heals the skin and fights bacteria, leaving you with clear happy skin! It smells a bit like pool water, which I actually don't mind since it reminds me of summer. 3. Dr. Brandt Dark Spots No More - claims to reduce the appearance of dark spots in 7 days using a blend of acids at 21%. This is a tiny bottle that retails for $68, which when compared to other treatments with similar ingredients is A LOT. I haven't noticed my dark spots improving any faster since incorporating this into my routine and won't repurchase. I have other products with the same ingredients, that do the same thing, contain .5 oz more product and are cheaper. 4. SUMMER FRIDAYS - CC Me Vitamin C Serum
this is a great every day serum, but it's not a great vitamin c serum. It's called a "multitasking serum" and is supposed to brighten, smooth and reduce spots. I found this to really only hydrate and leave the skin looking healthy. I didn't notice a major improvement in dark spots which is what I want from a serum that totes vitamin c. This reminded me more of a multivitamin for the skin, than something that's supposed to address a specific concern. I actually would pick this up again if I was looking for something hydrating and just an all arounder, but definitely not if I'm looking specifically for a vit c. 5. VICHY - Minéral 89 Eyes Hyaluronic Acid Eye Gel Cream
LOVE THIS! It's a gel eye cream that is hydrating, without being too heavy! My only concern with my under eye area is hydration so this is perfect. If your looking for something to help with dark circles or puffiness, this isn't it. 6. TATCHA - The Water Gel
I really liked this when I first picked it up, it's lightweight and sinks right into the skin. This just slowly stopped being a favorite. I liked it but it didn't wow me. 🤷🏽‍♀️ 7. elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46
aka my holy grail SPF. I love this stuff. It's great for sensitive, acne-prone skin and sinks in beautifully. It doesn't leave me oily and works sooo well underneath makeup. I actually don't need to use a primer over this if I'm going to wear makeup! Will always have this around!

Summer Fridays CC Me ✨
SUMMER FRIDAYS - CC Me Vitamin C Serum I really enjoy this vitamin C serum, giving my face a nice glowy complexion. I really like how it comes with a pump. All product should all come with a pump! The product is quite expensive ( $64). If this is in your budget you should definitely get it just because it makes your skin nice and smooth. I did notice that some of the texture in my face fade away. There is a nice light scent to this and it smells delightful. Smells sweet and delicious.
Daytime skin care routine!
I like to keep my daytime routine super simple. First I wash my face with YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser which is I find perfect for my combination skin! Non stripping but yet still makes my skin feel clean. SUMMER FRIDAYS - CC Me Vitamin C Serum I’ve used this for almost 2 months. I only rated it a 3 star because honestly I don’t see it making a huge change in my skin. It does brighten and help with dullness a little. but I don’t see a change in my dark spots. I will use this up but I wouldn’t be re buying it. I’m personally just not a huge fan of it. GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture CreamI recently just got this hence why I didn’t rate it! It smells amazing just like bananas. It’s nice medium thickness moisturizer. So far I don’t find it super thick on my skin and it doesn’t make my t zone look oily. From what I’ve tried I’d rate it a 4 star. I don’t think this will be enough moisture for me once winter comes but I do think this will perfect for summer. Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 I love this sunscreen doesn’t make my face feel oily and doesn’t break me out. Also I love using this under makeup. If you don’t like siliconey feels then i don’t think you’d like this.

Welcome to my skincare collection VICHY - Minéral 89 Eyes Hyaluronic Acid Eye Gel Cream actually I think this is now called EYE FORTIFIER?? Just got it today to layer with my eye cream. The skin around my eyes are super dry so I just wanted to add in another light layer. This product is absolutely light weight. I’m still trying to figure out how much to use.... apparently my eyes are not irritated yet lol lot of the time they are :( I felt a tiny sticky right after but it absorbs fairly fast and good to get on the eye mask after. See how it goes. Wish me luck 🤞
Blackhead/Textured skin? HELP
Please excuse the shine on my face and undereyes bags, I just finished my night time skincare. I used to have horrible acne and went to a dermatologist and finally got it cleared up a few years ago. I am so incredibly grateful for how far my skin has come but I've noticed even though I don't get big clusters of pimples anymore, I usually get really tiny annoying clogged pores and blackheads now and those few little tiny bumps are the last step between my skin now and super smooth skin and I would love some help! My MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE starts with "washing" my face with just some water. (I have over stripped my skin in the past and this better balances my oils) LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner I use this on a cotton pad just to get any excess dirt and oil off from the time I was sleeping. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Hyalu B5 Pure Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum I have seen a big improvement with the hydration and how plump my skin looks. VICHY - Aqualia Thermal Crème[] I just started using this because I ran out of my other one and it's fine. Hasn't upset my skin but hasn't really been wow-ing me. VICHY - Minéral 89 Eyes Hyaluronic Acid Eye Gel Cream I go in with this under my eye cream because my undereyes can get VERY dry so it helps add an extra boost of hydration so my concealer doesn't look cakey. CLINIQUE - All About Eyes Rich Eye Cream I heard this eye cream was good for hydration but I honestly haven't noticed a big difference. The Vichy eye gel I use before this has given me more impressive results. Not a huge fan. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 I do really like this one because it's lightweight and hasn't negatively affected my skin at all since using it. NIGHTTIME SKINCARE ROUTINE Neutrogena - Fragrance-Free Wipes Twin Pack I KNOW using makeup wipes is not a good thing! I'm very nervous to use an oil based cleanser to take off my makeup, but I would be open to it! For now I am using wipes to remove my makeup. Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser[] I use this cleanser to wash my face at night and it's okay. I've just been using it ever since I was on medication from my dermatologist, so I just stuck with a very basic cleanser. LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner With a cotton pad just after I cleanse. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Hyalu B5 Pure Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum VICHY - Minéral 89 Eyes Hyaluronic Acid Eye Gel Cream CLINIQUE - All About Eyes Rich Eye Cream I do the eye step before my adapaline because it prevents the adapaline from getting too close around my eyes since there's a thick cream barrier.. DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel This gel changed my life. It has helped keep my acne at bay so I love this stuff. VICHY - Aqualia Thermal Crème[] CLARINS - Santal Face Treatment Oil I love this oil so much.

Part 2 Oily Skin
10 do's and don’ts from dermatologists💦 DO wash your face every morning, evening, and after exercise. While washing, resist the temptation to scrub your skin, even to remove makeup. Scrubbing irritates your skin, which can make it look worse. DO choose skin care products that are labeled “oil free” and “noncomedogenic.” This means that products that have these labels — including cleansers, moisturizers and makeup — won’t clog your pores or cause acne. DO use a gentle, foaming face wash. Many people believe that they need to use a strong face wash for oily skin in order to dry out their skin. However, using a face wash that is too harsh can irritate your skin and trigger increased oil production. Instead, look for a mild, gentle face wash. DON’T use oil-based or alcohol-based cleansers. These can irritate your skin. DO apply moisturizer daily. Although you have oily skin, it is still important to apply moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated. Try a gel moisturizer instead of a heavy cream based one. DO choose oil-free, water-based makeup. DON’T sleep in your makeup. Always remove all makeup before going to sleep. DO use blotting papers and DON’T touch your face throughout the day. Although it’s tempting to touch your face, doing so can spread dirt, oil and bacteria from your hands to your face. Only touch your face when you’re cleansing, moisturizing or applying sunscreen or makeup, and make sure your hands are clean first. Highly recommend products for oily skin. Hylamide - Pore Flush I personally use this and it’s amazing!! Check out my review for details 💦 TATCHA - The Water Gel This is a great gel moisturizer. OLE HENRIKSEN - Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser I’ve used this before and absolutely love this cleanser! For oily skin with breakouts: THE inkey LIST - Salicylic Acid Acne + Pore Cleanser AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay is a cult favorite and I’ve used a lot! Great for oily skin. Mamonde - Rose Water Gel Cream is the best moisturizer I’ve ever used for my oily skin. Hope these tips help! Do you want to see a specific skin struggle in part 3? ❤️
Moisturizer for Oily Skin 💦
Since I have oily/combo skin my favorite types of moisturizers are gel based because they're perfect for the parts of my face that need a little extra hydration, but aren't too hydrating for the parts of my face that get oily. The Tacha Water Gel is oil-free, clarifies and controls excess oil. Pros: ➕ super lightweight ➕ balances oily skin ➕ hydrating throughout the day Cons: ➖ pricey ➖ not hydrating enough for colder months ➖ pills under SPF I like the moisturizer, but I won't buy it again. It's too pricey to repurchase for something that I don't absolutely love at $65. It also only wears really well underneath the Tatcha SPF, so if you're a fan of Tatcha and like to use an entire line then this is a great option. TATCHA - The Water Gel
It’s empty and...it’s worth it!
Hiya! I was lucky enough to receive this elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 from a giveaway through@cherie(thank you 🥰🥰). It actually lasted me way longer than I thought it would and... I miss it. The good: + Feels like a very light-weight moisturizer + Works well with all types of makeup on top (no pilling) + Easy to reapply and absolutely no white cast + Great packaging, I love the pump + Definitely plays well with active acne and general acne prone skin + Absolutely zero skin irritation, it feels very very gentle + Doesn’t leave skin oily or too shiny The not so good: - It’s actually kind of hard to find... so to buy this I need to either order online or pick up from a dermatologist. It’s not a super affordable sunscreen, but I’m okay to invest a little bit more money in sunscreen. And this also feels like it’s worth the price tag. I’m currently working on another bottle of sunscreen but once that’s done I’m likely going to be going back this one. If I can find it 🙈 Ps I have combo, acne prone skin
Face update
Ok guys if you been following me my bumps are starting to dry up and now I have dark spots. My right side is completely healed and the left is my trouble side. After seeing my dermatologist for my follow up appointment she went up on the dose of the retinoid I use at night. If you are wondering my routine this is what I'm using. Also go look at my old pics to see where I started from. Neutrogena - Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask I love this as it dries out my bumps LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser I use this at night and love how it's super light CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion light way and keeps face moisturizer at night elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 I use the tinted version now great for black girls only in the morning and I do two fingers when I apply it The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I just started using it super light weight. I started as a suggestion to help purging. Haven't told my dermatologist I'm using it but it has made the bumps on the right side calm down so so far so good. I'll update this to five stars after I have enough data to support if it really works.CeraVe - Healing Ointment I use when I experience dryness from the winter. A lot goes a long way .

Did you know Obagi Clinical is
Did you know Obagi Clinical is now sold exclusively at Sephora ? This is different than their medical line. I’ve been using their prescription tretinoin for years and practically grew up on Obagi. My mom always had it when I was younger but we could only get it from the dermatologist. I use to use their hydroquinone mixed in with my tretinoin too help it work better. Well now they have this new CLINICAL line. They only have a few items available at Sephora right now but I’m pretty sure the whole line will be available soon. ⁣ ⁣ ⚡️ Kinetin + Complex⁣ Contains nature identical plant growth factors that support cell renewal & growth in plant cells (not demonstrated in human skin). It helps minimize the look of skin aging & rejuvenate the skin. ⁣ ⁣ ⚡️ Other featured ingredients:⁣ - arbutin ⁣ - retinol ⁣ - vitamin c ⁣ ⁣ Retails between $55-$95⁣ ⁣ 🐣 I am currently testing & using their hydrating eye cream at night & the brightening vitamin c eye cream in the mornings. I have tried everything else at least once with no irritation. Will update in the future! ⁣ ⁣ ⚡️ The sunscreen & vitamin c combo is a matte finish that oily or combination skin I think would love! If you have dry skin like me you may only like it in the summers. ⁣ ⁣ ⚡️ Obagi is results driven, dermatologist vetted, & lab based.⁣ ✔️ Cruelty Free (medical line is not) ⁣

The BeautyRX Sheer Sunscreen h
The BeautyRX Sheer Sunscreen has an impressive 10.5% zinc oxide (the rest of the protection is 7.5% octinoxate). With that much zinc you'd expect it to be thick and white, but it actually applies amazingly smooth and silky, with no white cast once rubbed in on my medium toned skin! I love this for its high UV protection and also because it feels so soothing and non-irritating. It also gives a lovely satin-matte finish without being drying. I've already used 1/3 of the tube! The Ultra Hydrating Eye Cream is another product I keep reaching for. I have a hard time finding eye creams that are moisturizing enough but not so rich that they give me milia. This one fits the bill and it also feels so refreshing, calming, and cooling. Lastly, it's too early to say if I see long term effects from the Vitamin C, but I can tell you that this serum absorbs fast with no stickiness, feels lovely on the skin, and layers well. It contains 3 kinds of stable vitamin C, including the oil-soluble Tetra-C. I love having a non-irritating C serum in my routine at all times to boost my skin's overall health. Overall, I've been impressed by this brand! Quality products with awesome ingredients that also feel cosmetically elegant. I have a feeling these will be in my routine for many weeks to come!

Today I want to share with you
Today I want to share with you more about some products designed for acne prone skin by murads kincare . I have been testing these exclusively (as my only actives) for over a week. InvisiScar Resurfacing Treatment is the main star here it packs a bunch: Salicylic Acid + Glucosamine (great for acne + scars) Tiger Grass for hydration Pure Vit C + Hydroxytyrosol a good combo for PIH, both are antioxidants and brightening agents; Light diffusers and blurring powder, this gives the texture a silicone-y feel which was quite surprising to me, but it can layer well under makeup. I have applied this all over the face in my pm routine and my only concern is that it might not last me enough for 8 weeks, therefore I will use for half of the face from now on. It’s too soon to speak of results, but I did notice some improvement in terms of PIH, perhaps not as fast as other treatments, however I am interested to see how this performs in the long run for my scars rather than PIH. No irritation or dryness whatsoever. 💦Outsmart Blemish Clarifying Treatment - this is a Penta Acid Technology Gel that combines 5 acids, including Glycolic + Salicylic. I found this to be a tad stronger than InvisiScar in terms of how it feels post application. Neither of these products dried my skin, this one is gentle enough as well, but stronger than InvisiScar in my opinion as I find it to be very effective at drying spots and clearing my skin. 💦Last, but not least is the fabulous Oil & Pore Control Mattifier Broad Spectrum SPF 45. What a gorgeous SPF and what a beautiful formula! 😱Unlike anything else I have ever tried. So far is in my top 1 for SPFs. I must confess that I save this for makeup days as it works really well with my foundation. No white cast, beautiful formula, non-drying and an absolute joy to apply as it’s nice to the touch.

My 𝗔𝗠 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 has gotten longer since the beginning of quarantine and I have been seeing A LOT of -surprisingly rapid- hyperpigmentation improvement as well as overall brightness and evenness to my complexion since altering it. I rotate use of the various products, trying to give my sensitive combination skin rests here and there 🗓 • Daily: Omega+ Complex Serum, Barrier Repair Moisturizer with 0.1% Retinol, Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid with 50 SPF; B-Hydra™ Intensive Hydration Serum. • 4-5 Days per Week: 10% Azelaic Acid Booster; Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%; C-Tango™ Multivitamin Eye Cream. • 2-3 Days per Week: A-Passioni™ Retinol Cream. I am surprised by how gentle the 10% Azelaic Acid Booster and Barrier Repair Moisturizer are. I introduced them to my routine and saw such immediate results that I skipped my usual wait time and used them again the next day- with zero irritation. I waited a day, then used them both again- still no irritation! I don’t use the Booster daily, more for my wallet’s sake than for my skin’s, but I find it to be the perfect gentle AM exfoliant.

Lemme talk about my favorite d
Lemme talk about my favorite duo  Drunk Elephant baby facial is my favorite weekly facial treatment 😉 This stuff is STRONG THO- so please beware! This is a 25% AHA 2% BHA blend 🧖🏼‍♀️ My biggest recommendation for those who are trying this out or having sensitive skin is to add the precious Lala cream with your baby facial! It’s such a luxurious addition and also a layer of extra hydration with the strong acids can really help make this a more gentle process! I know it says 15-20 minutes, but if your new to acids or are unsure- I recommend testing it the first time for 5-10 minutes and working your way up from there once a week 😊 this is something that instantly smoothes but you will notice over time improvement in overall texture, hyperpigmentation and brightness of the skin ✨ the main things with skincare (other than sunscreen) is being consistent. Things won’t magically work over night- and if you think it does, it’s not long term 🤷🏼‍♀️ I highly recommend trying out this duo because it has been an absolute life saver for me and my skin!
