My Tips to Grow Healthy Nails!

First off, I would like to pay myself on the back. I am 24 years old and have been a nail biter since my childhood. This year I made a New Years resolution to stop biting my nails. Since having short nails from biting my whole life my main objective was to create strength in my nails because they were so thin & flimsy from not ever being grown out before.
First thing I did.
Started taking biotin! This not only helps strengthen nails, but helps my skin & hair as well. This is a 5,000 mcg dose so it is significant to your daily intake. Always check for dosage and make sure you are consistent!
Since I’ve been a nail biter seeing the “white” part of my nail growth is triggering. So when I see it, I want to bite them. For this reason for the first few months I constantly had polish on my nails to help break my obsession with biting. Now that my habit is virtually gone (YAY ME) I take week long breaks in between my polish!! It helps give your nails time to breath and to take the time to give your nails/nail bed some extra nourishment.
For nourishing my nails I use GOLD BOND - Ultimate Intensive Healing Hand Cream
and LUSH - Lemony Flutter
every night before bed. The hand cream is thick but not too thick, it absorbs nicely and doesn’t leave any stickiness or heaviness on the hands. The cuticle butter is VERY rich and thick. A very small amount is needed for each nail/cuticles and I focus/massage it in for a few minutes each night. It has beeswax, Shea butter, and avocado oil in it for growing healthy nails! Remember cuticle care is important!
I’ve also been using the PEACH & LILY - Pure Beam Luxe Oil
for a cuticle oil each night and throughout the day sometimes to give my cuticles some extra love. This oil has squalane, jojoba, camellia, grapeseed, and sea buckthorn oils. It is surprising easily absorbed! I really love this oil for my cuticles. (I have oily acne prone skin so I don’t typically use face oils very much—so I repurposed and used it for my cuticles instead).
If you have been/are a nail biter, you know how hard it is to quit! You just have to get in the right mindset and continue working to break your habit. 👏🏻🤍

How to Maintain Long Nails 💅🏼
I generally have long oval nails but I have a bad habit of picking at them when I’m stressed so I struggle with cuticle health and nail health as well. Here are some tips I do to maintain the length for as long as possible. 💅🏼Painting My Nails For some reason if my nails are painted, I tend to pick at them less, probably to maintain the manicure as long as possible. This gives them unimpeded time to grow longer without me interfering. 💊 Daily Vitamins I’ve noticed that with my hair vitamins, my nails are of course growing too. Regular nutrition and even a vitamin focused on helping maintain strong and long nails can be a great addition if this is your goal. I like the Hush & Hush vitamins and you can use code “chelsea” for money off if you’d like too. They’re packed with vitamins and have different options for day time, hair and nighttime to help with stress and sleep. I love them! 💅🏼 Cutting and Filing This seems counter-intuitive but I find that if my nails get too too long, they inevitably break or start to break on the lower sides which of course then leads to me having to cut them. Once I get to the length I want, cutting them and filing them to keep them even when they get longer helps prevent further breaking. 💦 Cuticle Butter Another product I love for just general nail health is cuticle butter! I use the Lemon Flutter Cuticle Butter by Lush and it lasts forever and is extremely hydrating. This helps prevent breakage there but also instantly makes my nail area look healthier and better too. A little goes a long way and it’s great to just throw in your bag on the go! HUSH&HUSH - Deeply Rooted Dietary Supplement LUSH - Lemony Flutter #CheriePartner

How I do my nailcare/paint my nails!
I have recently fell in love with nail polish and nail care! I look forward to doing my nails every week. I was a nail biter all my life until this year. I am always focused on strengthening my nails. I’ve been loving Essie’s gel couture line! This nail look is a shimmery champagne color—“Last Nightie” First I always start by doing my cuticles. I never realized how important taking care of your cuticles is and the benefit it does to your overall nail health. I remove my cuticles/push them back once a week using BLUE CROSS - Cuticle Remover This makes removing the cuticles SO easy. Within a few seconds they basically soften up/dissolve so they are easily pushed around the sides of the nail and top of the nail. I use a metal cuticle pusher but I make sure to be extremely gentle when using this! (I got mine from amazon) but this is basically the same thing!ULTA BEAUTY - Cuticle Pusher Next, I file my nails to create a shape I want, then I wash my hands. Finally I use GOLD BOND - Ultimate Intensive Healing Hand Cream and PEACH & LILY - Pure Beam Luxe Oil before painting my nails. Now I apply my base coat and recently I’ve been using#Pink Armor - Nail Gel[products]#[FiveStars] I got mine from amazon. It basically acts as a strengthening bond on your nails. This may not be the best option for nail health, but like I have stated. I needed all the help I could get since my nails were SO flimsy and thin at first. I do think this stuff has helped significantly! Finally I apply 2-3 coats of my polish and apply my gel couture top coat! This polish line is SO good. Happy nail care 💅

Fight off environmental stressors
PEACH & LILY - Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream Moisturiser for all skin types alert! This is a lightweight moisturiser! Helps fight the signs of aging and the stressors that cause damage on skin. I have irritated skin from the weather all the time and bad allergies and this cream has turned my routine into a pleasant one. PEACH & LILY - Pure Beam Luxe Oil I like using this with the pure beam luxe oil (on my earlier posts) from the same brand to create a more moisturising feel. Thus overnight keeps my face hydrated and not oily.

My Weird Go-To Nail Hack
My Weird Go-To Nail Hack
BEAUTYBIO - The Radiance Brightening Vitamin E + Rosehip Seed Facial Oil #cheriepartner This is a little trick I’ve been using to keep my nails looking hydrated and fresh! Personally, I have a bunch of facial oils in my collection. I don’t use them all and I didn’t want them to go to waste, so I decided to use them on my nails! To use an oil, simply apply to the cuticle and rub in. I’ve actually found that applying oil to the nails helps them grow faster and stronger! Not only that, but it keeps my manicure looking new. This oil in particular from Beautybio is pretty pricy but I didn’t want to waste it. It works perfectly for the cuticles! I recommend looking for an oil blend with rosehip oil, castor oil, vitamin E, or argan oil. Those ingredients are proven to help strengthen nails. Who else uses this hack?

Voilà, French skincare routine🇫🇷tips for beginner
Voilà, French skincare routine🇫🇷tips for beginner
French beauty routine secrets from Parisian women, a 3-steps skincare routine to get glowing skin. Step 1: Cleanser Use a cleanser suited to your age and skin type. A teenage girl with oily skin prone to blemishes will have different needs than a middle-aged woman with thin, dry skin. Assess your skin's needs to choose the right cleanser. Step 2: Toner Toner removes all traces of cleanser and impurities while rebalancing the pH of the skin, which is 5.5. The pH of the water can reach 9.5 depending on where you live and the hardness of the water. After cleaning, the pH of the skin is therefore no longer balanced; your skin has to work hard to correct it. But the tonic lotion restores the pH as soon as you apply it, which soothes the skin. Step 3: Hydrator Morning and evening, you need to restore your skin's hydration to keep it fresh, soft and comfortable. There are all kinds of moisturizers, from light lotions to rich balms. However, most skin types respond well to a formula that retains hydration. As we all know, French woman are obsessed with natural glowing skin so you will never see a French woman with heaps of makeup on her face. Thus, the first and the most essential principle of French skincare is focus on skin treatments and not on makeup. Clear and health skin will enhance your beauty. A good cleansing routine is the key to a flawless complexion!

Sunny Days, Wear Your SPF! ☀️
Sunny Days, Wear Your SPF! ☀️
Hi Everyone! It’s a hot and sunny day here in New York. Here’s you’re daily reminder to take care of your skin and make sure to put on your SPF! I use CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 and the more I use it the more I love it! It’s very light on my face compared to regular sunscreen and it keeps my skin feeling nice and soft. And the best part is I only need 2 pumps to cover my whole face! Also, here is my natural makeup look that I’ve been trying to perfect for the last 2 months. Later I’ll post my makeup products. Follow me for a possible tutorial? 😘 Enjoy the day and take care 😊💕
