Hydrocolloid patches, which one?
Hydrocolloid acne patches have been a new sensation (from my understanding). I wish I would have knew about them sooner honestly! What does a hydrocolloid patch do? Hydrocolloid patches absorb excess fluids. So, when you have a pimple this means the pus/oil/etc. This means that they can ONLY be used on ready-to-pop whiteheads (pustules/papules). They will not work on cysts (too deep) or blackeads/ closed comedones (little seedy lookin nasties). I was actually gifted the PeaceOut patches from Cherie! (a generous box when they first launched their app 🙏🏻🎉). In addition to the hydrocolloid, they also gave 0.5% salicylic acid! I find that this percentage isn’t really enough to do anything dramatic unfortunately. These work pretty okay (not my fave), but the price for product deters me. It is $19 for 20 patches or $32 for 40 patches. Idk about y’all, but I have extremely acne-prone skin so I run through patches like it’s my job. That price is not gonna cut it with me. ✋🏻 The Mighty Patch by Hero Cosmetics can be found on amazon (yay prime!) and target. AFFORDABLE. $12 for 36 patches, or $22 for 72 patches (i get this one). Also offered in original (these are visible on the skin), the invisible option, the surface option (for a large area), and newly the microdart patches (with salicylic acid). These are the best pimple patches I’ve ever used for the price. I highly recommend them if you are in the market for patches! PEACE OUT - Acne Healing Dots

Amazing Pimple Solver!
I woke up yesterday with a white head on my jawline that looked like it was going to explode 🤢 I put a PEACE OUT - Acne Healing Dots on it and a couple hours later the dot was white. When I took it off, all of the stuff from the inside of the pimple was on the dot and the pimple was flat, no longer red, nor inflamed! I cannot rave about these healing dots enough.

Differin progress... is this a purge or what?
Sorry this is gross.. I know my skin isn’t pretty right now. Today marks the 4th week I’ve been on DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump and also my new birth control (yaz). I have literally never, EVER seen my skin this awful and angry. Should I stick it out until the and of 12 weeks? Does this look like a purge or just a flat out breakout?! I’m freaking out.. I don’t even want to go outside looking like this. I’m also using Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream am and pm, and cleansing with CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser . Not looking to add any more products. Sometimes I use a hydrating toner. The dryness and peeling has subsided but the pimples do hurt, my cheeks are tender to the touch and sometimes itchy but that has gotten better over time also. Please help!!!!! EDIT: i just bought the DIFFERIN - Daily Deep Cleanser BPO 5%, Neutrogena - On-the-Spot Acne Treatmentand HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewellto hopefully combat the horrible breakouts pictured above. just praying it doesnt over dry my skin.
Hero Cosmetics... Hormonal Acne.. Bruh Girl
Disclaimer I am not a professional or influencer and anything but a 29 Year Old Bruhh Girl with a skincare addiction and battle with Sh***y skin for my entire life!!! I recently moved from NY to FL about 7 months ago and my skin did not agree with the change, or I have just entered into a new phase... I’m thinking Hormonal Acne but I have not been seen by any professionals... Since Aug 2020 I have been on the hunt like seriously I’ve been hunting down the elite skincare routine for my skin!!! Yes I spent way too much money on legit every TikTok trend my boyfriend every week would be like “let me guess TikTok made u buy it” but all in all he supports the chase since he knows how much it means to me to have that glowing smooth skin... Also I should add I’m an extreme picker like it’s terrible I hope you’ve enjoyed this rant... let me know if you’d like to see more products I’ve purchased ❤️ #Hero Cosmetics - Clear Collective Trio[products]#[FiveStars] This stuff is just pure magic, it’s affordable $35 for the set, a little goes a long way, packaging is beautiful, and just works so well. I’ve been using this set AM / PM for the last 7 days and I can already set see such a difference 😍 I finally feel like I have found a simple and affordable line of products that just do the job! The only thing I didn’t love at first was that all of the products have absolutely no scent, and the cream felt a little thick but you seriously only need a pea size for full face! HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell These are life savers, and the 24 pack is only $8, like I’ve mentioned I’m a picker! I’ve been really forcing myself to remember to use these first signs of a pimple and whelp they never disappoint. Plus it’s kinda satisfying waking up seeing that they worked and peeling off the patch and no longer having a painful bump 🙌🏻🙌🏻 HERO COSMETICS - Lightening Wand I purchased the travel size of this product to give it a try, since I am a picker often my post pimple healing phase can last weeks of redness / scabs ... this has deff been helping with the redness and healing period but after some reading I think I will be giving the Rescue Balm a try. The lighting wand is easy to use but the travel is $10 and full size $20, and the Rescue Balm is $13, personally I feel like this may be more useful for post acne scars rather than healing process.
Head into outer space with Starface 💫✨⭐️🪐
“Houston to Starface..." Starface - Hydro Stars I'm on my second pack of these pimple patches (both gifted) and I've been really impressed with the performance. They're not only cute but they get the job done rather well. What are they? star-shaped patches for spots, pimples, etc dressed in 100% hydrocolloid. What do you get? 32 patches for $22 ($18 for a refill) My experience: These have been so good I even put my sister on. For small white-heads and spots 1-2 patches get the job done usually over-night. As stated by Starface, they claim the patches absorb fluid, shield spots from outside bacteria, and prevent skin picking. I'd definitely say this is true. However, a while back I had an underground/cystic pimple on my chin, which I usually don't get often. It took probably 12 patches total to get to the point where I didn't need to wear a patch. The cystic spot took weeks to go away. Rating: 3.5/5. -Absolutely cute as f*ck. -Tackle whiteheads and small spots. -Easy and convenient to carry. -Refills available for a discounted price! There are definitely pimple patches out there that are more affordable but for my skin's needs, I would most definitely purchase these with my own money. If your main concern is underground/cystic spots, these probably aren't right for you! My favorite k-beauty pimple patches!
These pimple patches were my first love ❤️ when it comes to both k-beauty and pimple patches. COSRX is an amazing brand that is cruelty free and is able to deliver us high quality products at an affordable price compared to the uber-expensive k-beauty brands at Sephora. These are specifically their acne pimple master patches (the thicker version) COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch that act as a hydrocolloid dressing to suck the moisture out of your pimple without leaving any scarring. They also protect the pimple from being picked by your fingers and outside bacteria. In my opinion, these are the best patches for low visibility—meaning they work the best if you’re trying to hide the fact that this patch is sucking liquid out of a pimple. You still see that it’s working, but it doesn’t have the crazy power that the PEACE OUT - Acne Healing Dotsdo. You can tell that they are there, but they stay put all day and have even SURVIVED ME WASHING MY FACE!! You heard that right!! When I use them, I pat the pimple and the surrounding area with a cotton swab to suck up any excess product or oil so that the patch sticks better. I usually wear them overnight but I have worn them for over 12 hours some days. After one or two patches my pimple is usually well on its way to healing up! I have gone through numerous, literally so many packs of these. I love that they come with 3 different sizes so you don’t feel like you’re wasting a huge dot on a mini pimple. I usually buy them on bulk on Amazon from the verified COSRX seller account for $7 for a 3 pack which I think is an amazing deal. You can also get a single pack at Ulta for $6 if you’re looking to use up your points! These patches have saved my skin on more than one occasion and used to be my go-to, but when I’m on a budget these are old faithful for me. I have to rate them 5 out of 5 stars for their power and affordability!
PEACE OUT-Acne Healing Dots
Pimple patches for a steal
My fav pimple patches are cos rx. Honestly these are GOLD. $6 on sokoglam these not only help pull the crap to the surface but they protect your spots from more oil, dirt, or worse YOURSELF. These are my #1 weapon for not picking. The thin clear hydrocolloid patch feels similar to a hydrogel sheet mask in texture, adhering your skin strongly. It'll stay on through showering and washing! It treats breakouts by eliminating infection and bacteria, which is what causes them in the first place. It's able to breakdown debris from blackheads and absorb gunk from whiteheads overnight, so you won't experience a harsh dry patch from using this. It even helps flatten and heal cystic acne faster! With three differently sized patches in a pack, you can choose which one will cover your bases. Fragrance-free. Product Contains one sheet of patches with 24 patches Would def reccomend. Took away one star because they don’t kill the pimple every time but pretty good overall.

Best Pimple Patches On The Market
I stumbled upon the COSRX Acne Pimple Master patches at a K-Beauty store (can’t remember which one) over a year ago. They were about $3 at that store, but retail for $6 at Ulta. Whiteheads have always been an on and off issue for me, so I figured I’d give them a try. The pack comes with 24 patches that range in different sizes. I actually likes that a lot because as we all know, sometimes our pimples are Pluto and other times they’re Jupiter. These patches WORK, y’all. I’ll throw one on at night and by morning the whitehead has either popped under the patch or it’s been absorbed into the patch and flattened out. I’ve actually started wearing them during the day because they help protect my popped pimples (I know I’m bad y’all 😭) from the NYC elements. Most times (and I’m sure we’ve all experienced this), I’ll pop a pimple, leave it alone, and then by end of day it’s back AGAIN! But when I use the patches, they flatten out the pimple instead. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend for errbody. As for how noticeable they look on the skin, they are somewhat noticeable, but I feel like our society has normalized people wearing them without batting an eye (with the exception of my mom and bf who tried ripping them off my face 😑).

Bumps on forehead update
Update time! For anyone who’s interested 🤗 So I’ve been waiting at home for a lot of products to deliver 😫 it’s taking forever, but in the meantime I had to try something because these bumps were getting big (some of them, the others remained small) so I decided to use COSRX - Clear Fit Master Patch I had tried it before (as mentioned on my previous post) and it worked for 2 bumps, but they came back with 2 other friends. This time around, I applied a bit of pressure on the bumps, (I was not as aggressive as I normally would be because these were not white heads and I know I shouldn’t pop white heads or any pimple, but sometimes I can’t help it 😣) and I noticed a lot of water and what looked like sweat coming out from the pores located on those bumps. I decided to stop applying any more pressure and put on a patch on each bump. The first night, oh my! I put the patches on before bed and when I woke up i saw so much nasty stuff on the patches! Day two, I applied the patches at 7pm and by 10pm, the patches had more nasty stuff so I put on new ones before bed and I saw more nasty haha. I’m on day 3 of using these patches and the bumps are flat!! The only issue I have now is that I was left with extreme redness on the areas where I had the bumps. At this point I’m assuming I had cystic acne because I’ve never experienced anything like this before, especially the redness and from all the other posts I have seen, my red scars look pretty similar to those left by cystic acne. Some of the products I have already purchased, for what I thought was fungal acne, work to exfoliate the skin so I will still be using those once they arrive and hope they help with the redness. One product I’m looking forward to is Krave - Kale-Lalu-yAHAand I will update you all on that progress too. If you have any other suggestions for products that could help with redness or scars, let me know! 🤗 I want to say, to everyone that gave me advice on the last post that I’ve been honestly stressing about a lot of things lately and losing sleep. I’m sure the stress caused my skin to go all crazy (I’m also thinking working out had something to do with it). I was then stressing about my forehead. I just didn’t feel great about seeing those bumps on my face everyday and not knowing what they were or what to do about it. I just want to say I appreciate the time you all took to comment and help me out. I found comfort knowing I had great options of products to try out and that other people were able to find products that worked for their skin. Thank you all ❤️

Face Masks for Acne: Acne Patches
Zitsticka Killa Kit Product Description: zit patch developed with Microdart tech which promises to infiltrate and diminish hard to tackle zits within 2 hours. The two step kit works to cleanse and treat the most troubled pimples before they surface! Target Concerns: acne Texture: there are two components: the soft, fresh feeling cleansing swab and a flexible plastic feeling spot clarifying microdart patch Review: I have occasional bouts of hormonal acne and in my brief encounters with the zitsticka killa kit during those times over the past 2 weeks, I have been pleasantly surprised with the speed of the results! However I will say that if you have sensitive skin like me, you may wish to forgo the cleansing swab. Made with tee tree, salicylic acid, and alcohol- it has definitely dried up and broken out sections of my face I cleansed with while the zitsticka patch at the center of that very same section has cleared. At $29 for 8 cleansing swabs and 8 microdart patches, I would recommend this product for someone who has occasional acne concerns. It is worth the money in that case since you will not need so many patches to produce the desired result, however for others who suffer with more frequent acne concerns it may not be worth the money to consistently drop that money for only the 8 patches- there’s always the reliable hydrocolloid patches instead! My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.1 DAY AGO
