Missed the mark ❌ Overhyped
A 10% AHA + 0.5% BHA blend solution to help chemically exfoliate the skin for smoother, brighter, and softer skin. Claims with daily use to improve blackheads, redness, and enlarged pores. Ingredients—Quoted via the glossier site: “Salicylic Acid BHA that reduces the appearance of blemishes and unclogs pores. Glycolic Acid Brightening AHA that visibly improves skin tone and texture. Lactic Acid AHA that reduces the appearance of dark spots. Gluconolactone PHA that exfoliates while also moisturizing and conditioning. Anti-Stress Complex Ultra-soothing aloe, hydrating glycerin, and calming niacinamide.” My thoughts 💭 I’ve had this a long time. I got this before I knew anything about skincare and ingredients. For me, I have EXTREMELY acne prone skin (i was once on accutane it was so bad). 0.5% BHA is not enough for me to do anything about clearing blackheads and acne, it would be super gentle, just not that effective. Unfortunately I never saw ANY results from this so I stopped using it :( I don’t think it’s a terrible product, I think it is an awesome gentle chemical exfoliant for those with sensitive skin. However, it missed the mark for me. The pump os a good idea, but mine malfunctioned everytime and got it EVERYWHERE 😖 Also, quite expensive at 4.4oz at $24. Would recommend for sensitive skin. Would not recommend for acne prone skin (no results). Glossier. - Solution

Glossier solution burned like no other!!
Glossier. - Solution WOW. I was really hoping to love this acid toner after seeing all the fantastic reviews about it! Either I have super sensitive skin or had an allergic reaction to a product in the solution because this product BURNED. The day after using it, I woke up with red blotchy spots where it was applied (mostly in my t-zone) and it itched like crazy. If you have super sensitive skin, I would steer clear of this product. Update: 4 days later still have small itchy red bumps all over my face. A dermatologist had to prescribe me steroid cream to reduce the inflammation. I will never use this product again.
My Quarantine Skin Transformation
The first picture was taken March 20 and the second was just yesterday. I’m honestly shook to be honest. My skin was scaley and dry. I had no routine. I had lost all of my skincare stuff and was washing my face with water and would use rosehip oil to moisturize. Then I used the MARIO BADESCU - Peptide Renewal Serumand my skin WENT CRAZY. Bumps EVERYWHERE. Skin going insane. My skin has never looked like this. Then I finally got some money to buy some skincare stuff and this is what I’ve got: Oil Cleanser : KOSE COSMEPORT - SOFTYMO Speedy Cleansing Oil- I don’t know if this is working yet. It takes off makeup. I’m terrified of oil on my face but it’s not done bad yet. I did break out a little bit after I started using it but it could be purging. I use this every night and morning for 60 seconds on dry skin. Foaming Cleanser: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin- I like this. It’s not drying I feel clean and my face feels good after wards. I use this right after oil cleansing. Toner: THAYERS - Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel Facial TonerI use this one in Aloe. OK SO I KNOWWW THAT PEOPLE DONT LIKE THIS. But it really changed my face. Before using it, my face was really bumpy even thought I was cleaning and moisturizing and exfoliating but this really soothed my skin and made everything go on better. I use this around my neck area too because it’s dark. Exfloliator: Glossier. - SolutionThis helped my skin like get rid of bumps and dryness but it also makes my skin red which I don’t like. But for now Im using it. I would recommend this to start off your exfoliating journey. MOISTURIZER: Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer RichI like this. It saved my dry skin it really hydrates and it’s not annoying. When you use it after the solution it does burn a bit. Just a warning but i really like this. SPF: Glossier. - Invisible ShieldAnother glossier product. This isn’t sponsored I just did a big order. This is nice it’s a gel consistency which i genuinely love. And it’s been helping my dark spots according to cherie hehe ANYWAYS my skin is doing a LOT better but there are still problems with it. I have pimples. LOTS of blackheads. large pores. Hopefully with time I can correct those. Anyways till next time 😜
Fav Toner for Sensitive/Dry Skin
The Glossier Solution is a gentle way to slough away dead skin to reveal a fresh, smooth complexion. It’s main function is to clear, brighten, and smooth your skin. I have very sensitive and combination-leaning-dry skin and this toner works really well for me! (the cute packaging doesn’t hurt either) Unlike physical scrubs, it uses a 10% blend of skincare acids to “unglue” dead skin and sweep it away, so your complexion appears smoother, softer, and glowier. It includes AHAs, BHAs, and PHAs and Daily use helps improve the appearance of blemishes, visible redness, and enlarged pores 🤗 I used it for a few months and loved it but since I switched to a full skin care routine with Drunk Elephant, a toner is somewhat unnecessary in my routine. Though, I still use it here and there when I’m breaking out or need some help with my texture. Great price and super cute packaging, if you’re looking for your next toner and especially if you have sensitive skin, I would highly recommend the Glossier Solution! Good to know: hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested, paraben free, appropriate for all skin types, cruelty free, vegan Glossier. - Solution
Glossier Solution: pore reducing toner?
The Product: The Glossier Solution is an “exfoliating skin perfecter” and has a combination of AHA, BHA, and PHAs to exfoliate the skin. This is used as a toner, and has a watery consistency. It’s supposed to clear up blemishes and blackheads, and reduce the look of pores. ••• My thoughts: Having never tried an exfoliating toner before I thought I would give this one a try because the percentages of acids are relatively low, and my desire to reduce the visibility of my pores were extremely high. I didn’t find this to be very harsh, if I had any active breakouts it would sting a little on the area, but besides that I didn’t have any discomfort or sensitivity using this product. I used it consistently everyday once a day in the PM, it can be a little drying so I recommend using it only a few times a week if you have dry/sensitive skin. This has lasted me over 4 months, and for $24 for 4.4oz I think it’s pretty reasonable. With that said I won’t be jumping to buy it again right away because I want to try some stronger exfoliating toners to see if I have better, more noticeable results. I found that while using this the amount of pimples and breakouts I got were reduced, but the overall visibility of my pores and blackheads I think remained the same. I would recommend this if you’re new to exfoliating toners, and suffer from acne! ••• Glossier. - Solution
So glowy, but..
I heard about Herbivore and I LOVED the concept of incorporating crystals and skincare together. I 100% am intrigued by this brand and support it, and will probably try out other things from them. But this one didn’t do much for me, and I really wanted to be impressed 😞 •Prism💫: this is a chemical exfoliant serum- meaning it removes dead skin cells from your face without abrasive beads or particles. I put a few drops either right on my face or in my hands and rub/press the product in. It immediately puts a beautiful shine and glow onto my face, but other than that I haven’t noticed much difference. I heard that it was supposed to help even out skin tone and help with acne scars, and after months of use and finishing the bottle, I didn’t notice any improvement really. Maybe I need to use it longer, but going through a whole bottle took a lonngg time. Even though I didn’t see many results, it didn’t make anything worse. It did not break me out or cause irritation. And at the time of application, it did feel good...so it wasn’t a complete waste! I enjoyed trying it out but I won’t be repurchasing. HERBIVORE - Prism Exfoliating Glow Potion

Pore Minimizing AHA/BHA Serum
Definitely a pore minimizing product, Herbivore Prism is the new improved version of this product which now contains 12% AHA and 3% BHA. The previous version of Prism, which I reviewed poorly here on Cherie, only contained 5% AHA which I personally found too weak for my skin and din't help my larger pores look any smaller. This is a clean brand and it doesn't contain phalates or any other potentially harmful ingredients. This newly reformulated version also contains rosewater to soothe the skin as well. How did it perform? For a high concentration AHA I found this gentle. Normally when I apply one of my AHA serums there is some tingling, warming, maybe even a slight burning sensation. I've had this with Farmacy Honeymoon Glow and Drunk Elephant's TLC Framboos. I didn't have any feeling of sensitivity with this, which was a welcome change! I didn't experience any breakouts with Prism, but I don't know if it left me as glowing as Honeymoon glow does. Package and texture: This is housed in a stunning iridecent bottle which keeps the light from affecting the product, and it has a dropper to dispense it. See the texture shot - this is just a clear, watery liquid that absorbs quickly but it's not moisturizing on it's own. This is priced at $54 for one ounce, which is fair and on par with other luxury pore minimizing AHA/BHA serums. I do think this bottle will last a while and the clear packaging allows me to know exactly how much is left. I rate this 5/5 stars because I think this is a great option for a high acid serum that isn't irritating like a lot of serums are. Additionally, the packaging is gorgeous and sanitary. Definitely a huge improvement from the previous version of Prism! HERBIVORE - Prism 12% AHA + 3% BHA Exfoliating Glow Serum

ACV! 🍎 I can't even begin on the benefits of apple cider vinegar, especially for your skin! Acv has antimicrobial properties, so it's very effective in fighting bacterial growth and reducing breakouts. It, also, contains a few different fruit acids(including malic acids) that contribute into being a chemical exfoliant(AHA). This product works to resurface your skin, with light tingling and no irritation, so I can see it being okay for sensitive skin since they are so gentle! I love this product, because it has great ingredients, including acv, lemon and orange extracts(fruit ahas), Witch Hazel(removes dirt and oil, minimizes pores), and glycolic acid(aha). Super clean ingredients! While the smell may be a bit strong(it's vinegar, what did you expect), it doesn't linger at all! When I woke up the next morning after using it, my skin was super smooth, baby soft, and there was absolutely no texture in my skin at all! My skin looked so flawless and glowy😍 it instantly became a product that I love. *kindly gifted*VOLITION - Apple Cider Vinegar Resurfacing Peel Pads

Didn’t do much for me ☹️
Now this one was a big letdown, it sounded so good in theory but didn’t do nothing for my skin in practice. I had high hopes for the Glossier. - Solution to help with the texture on my cheeks but it ultimately flopped. It didn’t help with texture or hyperpigmentation from acne; the packaging is super cute and the pump dispenser is a great addition but I’m not about spending $24 for an average product with a cute bottle ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
