🖋 the best non-black neutral eyeliners!
i am a HUGE fan of these sephora 12-hr eyeliners. the staying power is really great and they glide on super easily, with no tugging. the colors are great - beautiful non-black neutrals. here are my favorite shades: * cappuccino ☕️ - brown with gold shimmer, my favorite fall liner * flirting game 😉 - a really interesting, shimmering purple-brown * cocoa 🍫 - brown with some slight mauve in it, with the faintest red-brown shimmer * t-rex 🦖- hunter green with the most faint shimmer (of these four) the shimmer / glitter isn’t overdone at all - they are elegant yet fun. do yourself a favor and try SEPHORA COLLECTION - 12hr Colorful Contour Eyeliner

Can someone tell me why I’m mentally conditioned to want to buy ANYTHING new Glossier releases?? Regardless of whether I actually want it or need it?? And then once I get it I end up ALSO getting like every other thing that I may or may not have emptied yet? What should we call this?? Glossi-itis?? Glossi-ism?? Anyway. I got the new fig balm dot com bc idk about y’all but I do love me some figs!! Deets on my haul: Since I’ve worn zero makeup in the last 8 months I had to re-up on my boy brow since my old one is crusty and dried up. I still feel like there are better brow products out there but again...Glossier-itis came for me. Glossier. - Boy Brow I’ve been trying the new Kosas - The Big Clean Volumizing + Lash Care Mascara recently and it looks GOOD when it’s on but zang it does NOT stay on and smudges everywhereeeee. So of course I had to go back to the Glossier. - Lash Slick Mascara bc it just hits different. I have every other cloud paint so I decided to get this one in puff. I hardly ever use them...but have them anyway.....Glossi-ism..Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color If you also suffer from this condition, make sure you get a bundle for the 3 products above to at least protect your coin and not let this problem destroy you financially. Glossier. - The Makeup Set And finally for what I actually intended to buy... Glossier. - Balm Dotcom in fig. It has a tint to it that you can’t see bc I have darker lips 👄 but idgaf bc I love figs. It doesn’t smell as much like a fig as I’d like though, but there is something deep down inside me that is letting that slide bc the colors are an actual vibe and I’m here for it....Glossiorder??? If you have any other names for this Glossier induced condition that I’m sure many suffer from, feel free to leave a comment! And best of luck to you on your journey to recovery (lol, like that’s going to happen bc they launched new body hero today and I’m like......👀👀👀👀)
No Makeup Makeup in under 10 Minutes
These are my go-to products that I can quickly swipe on my face in under 10 minutes and feel put together. ULTRA VIOLETTE - Lean Screen SPF 50+ Mattifying Zinc This is UV newest sunscreen in their lineup. It is a mineral sunscreen which appears to be slightly tinted but ends up just looking like you have this wonderful blurring filter on the face. Perfect for my No makeup makeup days. Although I have dry skin, I don’t find this drying at all! I’ve taken a star off because I still do prefer glowy sunscreens but I think I’m going to love this in summer. CHANEL - BAUME ESSENTIEL Multi-Use Glow Stick After applying sunscreen, I apply this to the peaks of my face. Applying products on top of this gives me the most beautiful lit from within glow and I love this product because it’s just pure DEW with no sparkles or metallic finish Kosas - Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer A hydrating, a natural finish concealer which had yellow undertones that helps cancel out any redness around my eyes and blemishes. This is my ideal concealer, not too heavy or cakey but super brightening! A holy grail for sure. CHANEL - Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream Gives you the perfect “I just got back from vacation” effortless glow. I love this because it is just so easy to apply and blend out. I’ve taken off a star because it’s not inclusive, I wish they would expand the shade range! ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Micro-Stroking Detailing Brow Pen The newest brow pen in my collection. It’s very pigmented and allows you to draw natural looking hair like strokes. I’ve only rated it three stars because I find due to how pigmented it is, it can be a struggle to get thin strokes and the brush could be thinner as well. Glossier. - Boy Brow A classic for a reason! The perfect product for fluffy, natural brows. This is my holy grail! I have very coarse brows and this holds them in place like no other. I use the shade “clear” ILIA - Limitless Lash Mascara the peeerfect mascara for a busy day because it never smudges or transfers so I don’t have to worry about checking for panda eyes. In addition it gives me the most beautiful fluttery lashes, a new holy grail for sure! Kosas - Wet Lip Oil Gloss A holy grail lip product because it feels like a balm but gives me the “my lips but better” look. It’s the perfect gloss because it is so easy to reach for and apply without even needing a mirror. I’m using shade “Dip” #CheriePartner
Glossier Worth The Hype?💫
So as you may know, Glossier is a VERY popular brand but mostly for its aesthetics. But here we are reviewing more than the aesthetics. Let’s talk about what products are worth the hype🙂. Glossier. - The Skincare Edit The skincare.... So they have a 𝗷𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿 and what from i heard off, its JUST a normal cleanser, nothing special. Honestly it’s very overpriced for a small normal cleanser. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿: Just a normal moisturizer too🙂. Very soft. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘂𝗺𝘀: Glossier. - The Super PackGlossiers serums are actually not as mad as I thought, still pricey but not as bad. Many people don’t see a change while using them and others do so it always depends but if you have the money, buying these hopefully will not be a let down. Glossier. - Mask Duo𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀: nothing special, makes your face soft🌸 𝙉𝙚𝙭𝙩 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙪𝙥: Glossier. - Cloud Paint DuoGlossier. - Lash Slick MascaraThis product is TOTALLY worth it. Really pigmented and very good for your makeup🥰. Also the mascara is a normal good mascara! Glossier. - Niteshine Highlighter ConcentrateGlossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝘁. Lastly the 𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 are good and many have said 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲Glossier. - Haloscope Dew Effect Highlighter is not good cause it barley gives anything. What’s your experience with glossier? Use the link in my bio for 10% off GLOSSIER!!! (𝙰𝚗𝚢 𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜? 𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝!) (pictures from Pinterest)
Blushes for Dull Skin Wake Your Face Right TF Up
A blush is a magic product for me, it can instantly transforms a dull, washed-out complexion into a healthy, glowing one. Compared with powder blush, I prefer cream blushes. Why I like cream blush: unlike powder blush, which can look streaky or powdery, cream blush is so easy to apply—literally all you need is your (clean) fingers. It gives us the most natural, non-cosmetic effect, adding an awoken quality to the skin. Just tapping a little bit onto your cheeks and temples can wake up your face just as well as some highlighter. Glossier. - Cloud Paint Duo Gel-cream blush you can’t mess up. Cloud Paint gives me a natural flush of colour, that kind of look where you've just finished a run, without the sweat! I bought the shade Haze which is a really gorgeous colour that sits well on top of a foundation or tinted moisturiser but also on its own. I found this to be really long-wearing, especially as I have some area of my face are oily so I wasn't expecting it to last as long as it did. I really like the formula. It dries matte, but actually leaves my skin looking very dewy. It blends easily and is super cute, but beware! It's vvveerrryy pigmented and you'll likely squeeze out way more than you'll need. Love the matte finish of the tint, it really looks relaxed and beautiful. I literally love everything about this blush. A little goes a long way which is the best part. I have the color beam and its a subtle but beautiful color on my skin tone. Definitely a no makeup makeup look to help you look a little more alive rather than a full coverage blush. I would recommend this to everyone! A MUST BUY!! LOOK: Warm Citrus For us warm undertone skin girls, I recommend starting with Dusk and Storm. There isn't too much of a difference between Storm and Haze on my darkskin, but I noticed, as I started to build up the color more, Haze can start to look like you developed a rash or are having a skin reaction (not cute). I'd still recommend it as a color, but Storm is a better start (it looks more natural I feel). Add a bit of warm color with an orange based blush. In the pan it might look daunting, but on all shades of yellow skin, oranges to siennas bring a gorgeous dimension and spectrum to the face.
Low Maintenance, Minimal Makeup!
While we’re not really “on-the-go,” much right now, this is a list of my favorite products for a no-fuss day. These are pretty awesome products that I highly recommend you try if you haven’t yet! Rare Beauty - Positive Light Liquid Luminizer I give it four stars because it might not appeal to the folks who love having that super intense, glittery finish, and it can leave a stamp effect if used with brushes or most sponges. Otherwise if you’re into using your fingers to apply after using the doefoot applicator to apply on the back of your hand, with a natural finish, this could be your holy grail item! I moisturized with Supergoop! - Superscreen Daily Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 40 PA+++ and it’s fantastic. I get that dewy, glowy finish! Be careful getting this near your eyes though (of course😂)- I say this because I was in a rush and accidentally got it near the outer corner and my eye couldn’t stop tearing up for hours! Otherwise I’m getting so many benefits from this product- I have moreso sensitive than not skin and this has been great. There’s been no reactions and no breakouts! CLINIQUE - High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara love this mascara because it lifts and separates my lashes. My eyelashes curl naturally on their own, so I just need a mascara that lengthens and separates between each lash effectively. It’s easy to clean off too! Downside is that it can transfer because it’s not waterproof. Otherwise, love! I mix FENTY BEAUTY - Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter with my ULTA BEAUTY - Radiant Shine Lipstick on the back of my hand, then use my fingers to dab the mixture on my cheeks to get that youthful flush/ glow combo. It looks radiant, not sweaty, just below my eyes! I use the Radiant Shine lipstick on my lips occasionally too- super versatile, multi-tasking product and shade in their lightest nude pink for my skin tone. For this shot, I used the sun bum - Sunscreen Lip Balm SPF 30 it has the best taste ever! I run through it like crazy- while you can go through it fast, it works so well and makes my lips look incredibly hydrated, healthy and supple. I’ve worn it out on all-day boat rides or paddle boarding sessions and it’s protective! To conceal under my eyes, I’ve got the BECCA - Light Shifter Brightening Concealer I’ve been happier with it so far in days that I’m not using foundation. Haven’t tried it yet with my tinted SPF, but stay tuned! For bronzer, the Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color in Dusk works wonderfully. Literally my holy grail bronzer for winter and a color I mix with Glossier’s other cloud paint colors in the summer! What’s your favorite minimal makeup look? I’d love to know your favorite products!
I just wanted coffee, now here I am ☕️
Don’t you hate it when you’re leaving the house for the first time in what feels like weeks and you want to put on makeup because you haven’t for a while so you start out small with maybe some mascara and lipstick but then you realize you’ve missed your foundation and eyeshadow so you eventually have a full face even thought you’re cruising up to Starbucks in a baggy shirt, sweats, and a sports bra? I just wanted coffee but it became a whole thing. This is my usual makeup look when I go out and except for my mascara it’s all drugstore. 2 Weeks on Tretinoin and Clindamycin
Ignore my forehead, I’m sunburned 😂 Posting a 2 week update because I just came off the prednisone. I’m still taking the Bactrim plus using the Tretinoin and Clindamycin for another two weeks until my dermatologist appointment. Overall, my skin is a lot happier. My skin occasionally still feels itchy, but nowhere near to the extent that it did. Redness has dissipated, breakouts have gone down, but wow am I sensitive to the sun. Given my medication for my illness, I’m not supposed to be in the sun anyway, but I’d never noticed a real problem until recently. My lips burned (for the first time ever), my forehead burned and even my nose. Needless to say I’ve researched sunscreen like never before. But my skin isn’t as inflamed and I feel more confident. After I ran out of the MyChelle dermaceuticals - Sun Shield Liquid SPF 50 I was desperate for another sunscreen before I left for the beach. When I couldn’t find the MyChelle sunscreen I purchased the COOLA - Suncare Full Spectrum 360º Sun Silk Crème SPF 30 and it’s a dud! My skin felt dry after applying, it didn’t rub in well, and it wore horribly under makeup. Recently I’ve been using Supergoop! - Zincscreen 100% Mineral Lotion SPF 40 PA+++ and am loving it. It’s tinted so I don’t look like a ghost and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling super dry.
Skincare Story: Acne to Eczema to Glow-Up
When I started my skincare journey, I had the oiliest skin imaginable and dealt with constant hormonal breakouts. I tried every brand Sephora had to offer- each one filled with more fragrance, essential oils, and/or alcohol than the last. My skin quickly became overwhelmed and I broke out into terrible atopic dermatitis which would become chronic. And bam! I had eczema. It was... a struggle, to say the least. I went from oily to combination, with flare-ups that got me so dry I’d flake. Unpleasant. But I learned. I switched to fragrance-, essential oil-, alcohol-free skincare. Cleansers with gentle surfactants. Less exfoliation and more nourishing ingredients. Added hydrating products to reduce the dehydration that caused my oily skin and keep my now-combo skin happy. I gave my skin at least 2-4 no-actives rest days every week. My skin slowly recuperated. Now my hyperpigmentation is fading and my eczema flare-ups are less common. I still get breakouts, but they’re less painful and less long-lived. A few products (such as PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster and The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% ) are amazing for their role in reducing my hyperpigmentation, but I can’t emphasize enough how my acne and eczema flare-ups wouldn’t have improved if I hadn’t eliminated my triggers by switching brands. I stopped using fragranced brands like Origins, Fresh, Herbivore, Dr Jart, Tatcha, and Summer Fridays, and switched to biocompatible brands like Drunk Elephant, The Ordinary, The Inkey List, and Paula’s Choice. By taking out all possible irritants, my skin found peace. My acne reduced in frequency + intensity and I nowadays a combo of PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster and PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator keeps them short-lived. Skin rest days are still important but I can’t emphasize enough that your skin is an organ and everyone should be treating it as such 🙌🏽
Lash blast volume!
This mascara really lives up to its name. It gives your lashes the perfect amount of volume 😍 the brush is very short with short stubby bristles. I have never owned a mascara that had a brush like this (this is probably the secret to the voluminous lashes!) The consistency is not super wet, and it’s buildable. As well, the colour pay off is very black! I love it! It keeps my curls held up throughout the day! I highly recommend this product and I do think you cannot go wrong with this mascara for the price! Talk about unbeatable! I rate it 5 stars 🌟 COVERGIRL - Lash Blast Volume Waterproof Mascara

Shiseido Controlled Chaos Mascara
📌What are the claims? It is an innovative mascara that balances bold, buildable volume, with masterful precision & exceptional control for up to 24 hours. 📌How to use? Start at the base of your lashes & work your way up from root to tips using lifting motions. 📌My thoughts? I got this in my Sephora box in the spring and I really enjoy this! It isn’t my favorite mascara, but it defiantly worked. It is very black & gives a lot of volume. It didn’t irritate my eyes or flake off or smudge either which was nice! I prefer lengthening mascaras but this little mini worked well this winter! 📌price vs Size? It’s .32oz for $25 and I honestly don’t think I will repurchase I just didn’t care for it enough! SHISEIDO - ControlledChaos MascaraInk
BEST DAILY MASCARA :)
i use this mascara every day and i could not recommend it more!!! my lashes are very short and light but this mascara helps make them look voluminous and long. it stays on throughout my entire day of school and exercising without rubbing off at all. 10/10 would recommend!! one thing to note is that because this mascara is so strong you really need to rub your lashes to take it off. if you do leave some product on it will stick your lashes together overnight and it will be hard to apply more mascara the next day :)
L'ORÉAL-Voluminous Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara
the werk it set
the product: Milk MAKEUP - Werk It Set whats in it: Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek Milk MAKEUP - Milk MAKEUP Highlighter the review: milk makeup is my go to brand everyday and this little set is great for introducing yourself to the brand. it has a highlighter, blush/lip color, and their iconic mascara. Though these sizes may seem small, the little color tubes last an insanely long time. i like the mascara for a more ‘natural’ lash day (i have short stubs for lashes) the price: $25, but its on sale for $12.50!!! Milk MAKEUP-KUSH High Volume Mascara
Received these Full Force Plumping Lipsticks from Buxom cosmetics I have to say I am in love! 🥰 👄I got to try out the shade Dolly Dreamer which is a kind of dark pink mauve, which I love (*SWIPE TO SEE SWATCH*) I absolutely loved of it went on my lips, it tingled just a little & I definitely felt and saw a subtle plump! I also loved how pigmented it was! 💄I also got a chance to test out their mascara 👁 & I LOVE IT! It doesn't clump my lashes and the brush itself had very fine bristles that made my lashes comb out & look really smooth! I am definitely going to continue using it as well as the lipstick because well...I'm obsessed! 👄
