Hormonal Acne Journey (part 3)
Hello, lovelies! I am a day behind on posting and I am so sorry, but check out the difference in my skin! This is my second week using "Biologique Recherche" products and I am LOVING them! If this is the first post you have seen please go to my profile to get a full background on my journey and see my week to week progress! This is the clearest my skin has been in a YEAR. I am so thankful for these products. I am still using the same routine! IF I have worn makeup I will use the BIOLOGIQUE RECHERCHE - Lait Vip O2 Oxygenating Milk Cleanser , which is a facial cleanser. I do NOT double cleanse with this item. I use the CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin to cleanse my face first and get all of my makeup off. Then I use the toner suggested for acne prone skin, "Biologique Recherche P50V 1970". (I cannot find a link to this product). After that I use the BIOLOGIQUE RECHERCHE - Serum Placenta , which has been a huge game changer in my scars and the rate my acne heals after I... pick at it 🥴😶. I follow that up with the BIOLOGIQUE RECHERCHE - Creme Placenta facial lotion. It has similar properties to the serum. I use all of these twice daily with the exception of the cleanser. I also used the facial mask again, but only once this week. swipe the picture to see me with BIOLOGIQUE RECHERCHE - MASQUE VIVANT on my face! I seriously can't wait to see my results NEXT WEEK! 😱 Thank you all so much for following my journey! like I said please check out my previous posts for more details and progress pictures! I will update you all next week! I hope everyone has a blessed week! ❤ Be sure to check out my page for hair education as well! 😘 Instagrams: chey_bug hair.by.chey_ Tiktok: chey_bug97
Nighttime Daily Routine
I started this routine a few months ago and it has been working for my dry skin. I start with micellar water Simple - Kind to Skin Micellar Cleasing Water This helps remove makeup from my face before cleansing. It’s gentle and does not irritate my skin. Even when I don’t wear makeup I use it because of the tint in my sunscreen. Then I cleanse CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin I use this product and it does not dry out my skin at all, it takes a while to get used to the lotion texture of it. This cleanser does not remove makeup well for me and that’s also why I use the micellar water. Then Niacinamide The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I use this because it works well with the retinol and helps reduce irritation that can be caused by the retinol. I am interested in trying a different Niacinamide because I read the percentage in this is higher than necessary Then retinol VERSED - PRESS RESTART I got this retinol, because I heard it was great for beginners. After I finish with this I am looking to try something new. I started using it only 1x/week and slowly increased. I now use 5x/week Then moisturizer CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream I chose a cream over the lotion because it is thicker and is better for the dryer winter months. I used to wake up with dry skin on my forehead and around my lips, but since using this it has really helped! JOSIE MARAN - 100% Pure Argan Oil I started using this oil when my face my feeling extra dry, but have recently added it to my routine every night because I love the way it makes my face feel. I feel like my skin is glowing when I wake up in the morning. I love the consistency, it’s not thick or heavy. It is pricey, but totally worth it for dry skin in the winter. 2x/week I exfoliate The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA I use this AHA on the days that I don’t use the retinol. Retinol and AHAs should not be used together I read that it was a good option for dry skin.
CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser
nICe I had oily skin during my puberty years. Once that phiasco was over my skin became rather dry. I have used Soo many cleansers and I always had that tight sensation after use. They would strip all the moisture off my face! I see a lot of people on here complaining about how this cleanser doesn't feel like a Cleanser. Complaining about the fact that it doesn't lather. Well Karen hear me out. This cleanser doesn't have a lather agent, meaning that it lacks that ingredient that results in bubbles and soapy goodness, BECAUSE those ingredients are usually drying, those are what cause that tight sensation after it's been used. This cleanser on the other hand, doesn't even look like a Cleanser, and doesn't feel like one, it's almost like a cream of some sort. However It does it's job WELL, my skin looks so clean and glowy after using it, and I don't have to rush for my moisturizer after because I don't feel like a dry raisin. I also see a lot of people complaining that it DoEsnN't TAkE oFf My MAKEUp OfF wEll EnoUgH... it's not a makeup remover, buy an oil based cleanser so you can remove your makeup or heavy sunscreen applications throughout the day AND THEN wash your face with this nectar of the gods. it's incredibly basic, but it's good hehe
The perfect form💓💓💓
I use CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser for normal to oily skin. This cleanser contains 3 essential ceramides, which helps restore the protective skin barrier. This Oil Control Clenser gently cleanses face skin and removes oil. Enriched with Hyaluronic Acid. Safe for sensitive skin. Very thick. You just need a small amount. Value size for a long time use! I love it❤️❤️❤️❤️

heaven in a cleanser
this cleanser for normal to oily skin it you entrance into clear skin planet. it claims: “has a unique formula with three essential ceramides that cleanse and remove oil without disrupting the protective skin barrier.” benefits: - fragrance free - recommended by dermatologists - non-drying - non-irritating - non-comedogenic my experience: i love this. i’ve used many cleanser in my lifetime and this is my favorite by far. it’s the only one that fully keeps my skin clear and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. it does such a great job of cleansing, while not stripping the skin. this will probably be the only cleanser i use for the rest of my lifetime from now on! i recommend using this after a cleansing oil for twice as great results!!

Everyday cleanser for redness & rosacea!
I have used so many different kinds of cleansers including gels and creams. I used to struggle really bad with rosacea and still suffer from slight redness. During my last years of high school I invested in better skincare and found what was good or bad for my skin. I used to use cleansers with so many so many alcohol ingredients including makeup wipes and the brand Clean and Clear cleansers. I found the severe redness was caused by a lot of alcohol contained products and they contained ingredients that were way too harsh! I haven’t seen any difference using fragrance in skincare personally but I do avoid it as much as possible. This Sukin cleansersukin - Foaming Facial Cleanser Pump Signature is AMAZING for redness and rosacea as it has played a major part in calming down my inflamed skin. After a single cleanse, my skin was a soft, even tone! Consistency? This cleanser does not come out as a foam as you pump out the product and it comes out as a gel then you mix the product in your palms to create a beautiful foam and then apply straight to your face. You only need a small amount as the foam goes a long way. The feeling on your skin feels soothing and hydrating, no stripping feeling which you may feel with other cleansers! Will this remove makeup? While this does melt my makeup off significantly. I believe when using makeup to use a double-cleanse system (which I learnt from Skincare by Hyram! 😉). I take my makeup off using GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Makeup Remover with a reusable cotton pad then follow up with the Sukin cleanser. This routine ensures that every spec of makeup is being cleansed off your face and will not block pores - which causes breakouts! Skincare type? I believe this would be perfect for all skin types! I can’t see anyone with dry, combination or oily skin hating this. I have normal-dry skin, my sister has combination-oily and we both love and use it every day! Price? Pricing is only $11.95 in Aus dollars on the Sukin website but can be found on sale even cheaper in stores such as Chemist Warehouse, Coles and Priceline. Fragrance? Sukin does state that their products are fragranced with essential oils and plant derived aromatic ingredients which I personally don’t think should be necessary in skincare products but I have not experienced any breakouts or irritation from fragrance or Sukin products. If you prefer a full on fragrance-free cleanser I would recommend CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin which personally isn’t my favourite cleanser ever as I feel as though it didn’t do much for me and my skin concerns but it is well raved about and worth a try. Contains great ingredients also. I 100% recommend this cleanser to anyone suffering from redness, rosacea, sensitive or inflamed skin. It has improved my skin significantly and will always be in my skincare routine!

Amazing facial cleanser 🤎
CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin LOVE this cleanser!! I have oily skin, but when I do my skincare routine consistently, morning and evening my skin becomes very dry. I was scared that this would make my skin more oily than it already is but it doesn’t, this product is perfect and makes my skin feel healthy and hydrated!

$10 for a Perfect Foaming Cleanser
I’ve just recently started getting into drugstore skincare, after exhausting the subpar formulations of 75% of Sephora products. $35 for a fragrance-filled face wash? No thanks. It may be on my face for a short time, but I hold my cleansers to the same standards as the rest of my routine, with the stipulation of preferring a cheaper product since there’s little long-term benefit other than preventing clogged pores. I normally use the PAULA'S CHOICE - RESIST Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser but wanted to try a drugstore version to recommend to those that needed in-store options. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin is a fantastic foaming cleanser that manages to thoroughly remove sweat and grime without stripping my skin. My skin feels soft and balanced after use, thanks to the included glycerin, niacinamide, three ceramides, and (actual) hyaluronic acid. I’m obsessed with how beautifully this cleanser lathers up from a gel, even moreso since it doesn’t make my skin feel dry- absolutely fantastic and a steal at $10. I recommend this as a second cleanser, as the water-based formula doesn’t completely remove my mascara or the entirety of oil-based sunscreens. I also would primarily recommend it to those with oily, combination, or normal skin- I find that dry skin benefits more from cream cleansers! Which, I’ll be reviewing the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser soon 💕
