No... Just No 😣
This was okay for temporary hydration. Normally I’d use it just before applying a serum so the serum wasn’t going on to dry skin. Or if my moisturizer wasn’t keeping up I’d spritz some on. However, I just didn’t feel like it did enough to rave about it or repurchase. It was just an okay product that I could definitely do without. For me there are a lot of better products that do more for you out there.

Why You Shouldn’t Trust Mario Badescu Skin Care
Mario Badescu Skincare was founded in 1967 and has been steadily gaining popularity. As of now, their products are more commonly seen on Tik Tok and Instagram as part of aesthetic skin care routines. This correlates to their consumer demographic which consists mostly of teenage females. Does this brand really deserve all the positive attention it’s receiving? My answer would be “no.” You can decide what you think after reading further. The Lawsuit In 2013, the brand agreed to settle a class action lawsuit filed by thirty-one customers. The plaintiffs claimed that they were injured by undisclosed steroids in two of the brand’s face creams. The Control Cream and Healing Cream were marketed as products with the only active ingredients being “botanical.” The two steroids were hydrocortisone and triamcinolone acetonide. Allegedly, the two creams contained a concentration of triamcinolone acetonide that is higher than prescription-strength. Not only do these steroids cause serious risk to the skin, but to the overall health of the body. The plaintiffs used these products daily for as long as fourteen years. Many claimed that they unknowingly became addicted to the steroids causing painful withdrawal reactions when skipping usage. There were also claims of steroid-related illnesses while using one of the two creams, including glaucoma, adrenal system suppression, mood disorders, and so on. Why would consumers continually support a brand even after a lawsuit such as this? Well, ignorance is bliss. Current Formulations Now, the truth is all in the formulations of the products. A popular product such as the brand’s facial sprays can be be troublesome. The sprays, like many of their other products, have a high concentration of dyes and fragrance. Over a long period of time, these sensitizing ingredients can cause issues such as fragrance allergies. Not only that, but the other ingredients in the formula are just basic, common ingredients. There are much better alternatives for this facial spray, but a facial spray isn’t a necessity in a routine. Many products from this brand have very basic formulations that have a slight benefit to the skin. Marketing I must admit, the brand still holds popularity today because of it’s exceptional marketing and support. Many celebrities and teens promote this product on their social media pages which really helps this brand stay in the spotlight. It also helps that the company quietly changed and removed the steroids from their products after the lawsuit. Announcing it along with a public apology would have brought many questions of the company’s ethics and bring more controversy. Conclusion Although this brand has maintained its popularity over the years, the formulations and brand history has its negatives. There are many other brands that have superior formulations, better price points, and are more ethical.
TONER MADE FOR EVERY SKIN TYPE
This light facial spray toner hydrates and refreshes. This toner has moisture-binding humectants that smoothes the skin for a dewy look. I use this every day and night after cleansing and the results are great! If you’re still new to skincare, toning your skin is a very important step. After cleansing, your skin’s natural PH balance can be thrown off. (The natural skins PH is slightly acidic. Usually between a 4.7 and 5.75) Using a toner resets it!

LANEIGE-Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer
Looking for a new toner?
This is the Thayers Cucumber Facial Toner that says to be gentle while cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and balancing the pH level of the skin. It is meant to be used after cleaning the skin and before hydrating with a moisturizer of choice. At times there are toners that take away the moisture/natural oils in the face and therefore leave the skin extra dry @ sometimes even flakey. For those people that have extra dry skin, toners may seem like an item that would be unnecessary to add to their skin routine. This toner with its cucumber essence, organic aloe Vera & non-distilled witch hazel grown exclusively on the Thayer’s farm promise to do the very opposite that most toners do and that is dry out the skin and promises to bring out a natural glow. The toner is a regular toner liquid consistency that when placed on a cotton pad can be gently swiped on the face for a deep post-face wash cleanse. I bought the trial/travel 3-oz bottle @ Target for $2.99 as I am an advocate for witch hazel as a toner. Once I saw that there was witch hazel in the formula I decided to place my normal bottle of witch hazel to the side while I gave this a shot. The product lasted me a little bit over two weeks until it ran out as I was using it two times a day. In the morning and at night after washing my face. I didn’t hate this product but I also didn’t love it. I had no issues with the consistency, but the smell....OMG the smell was just too overwhelming. It was not fresh at all more like wannabe cucumber and it just felt like it lingered on my face long after I applied it. I didn’t truthfully see any big changes to my skin, it did do what it promised and that was to leave my face hydrated but honestly I have been using witch hazel on my face for a few years now & I love more how witch hazel leaves my face after usage. Tacky and clean. I woUld recommend the Thayers toner to anyone who has dry skin but just try a different scent. The price tag was nice and it didn’t feel like a waste of money that I didn’t love it. 3/5 stars
THAYERS-Rose Petal Facial Mist
The Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer and the Cream Skin Mist are two products I can’t do without! They are the exact same formula, just in two different types of packaging. The Toner & Moisturizer is a multi tasking product that can be used just like the name implies (toner and moisturizer). Because I have an oilier skin type, I like to use this as a toner in the winter months and can also get away with using it as a moisturizer during summer. It has been beautifully formulated and although it comes out as a liquid, it has a glowy, satin finish. I also like to use the Mist when my skin feels dry or on warmer days when my skin needs to cool down. If I’m feeling lazy in my skincare routine, I also use it in place of my toner. The mist spray comes out very fine, which makes it easier to use and absorb. I’ve been using both of these products for around a year and my skin has been more hydrated with them in my routine! ✨ LANEIGE - Cream Skin Refiner LANEIGE - Cream Skin Mist
LANEIGE-Cream Skin Mist
Let me tell you this is a no BS toner. Some people might not feel that toners are that important but I love applying them. This toner refreshes my skin and balances the pH level. It is free from any fragrance and color. It is the simplest toner yet very hydrating. I generally use this in the morning or after putting on a mask. It has a water-like consistency but it instantly calms my skin. This is perfect for all skin types; especially sensitive skin.

Meh Toner, Won’t buy again, anybody want it?
Long time lover of Aesop. But not this toner. It really doesn’t do much for my skin and leaves my face feeling a bit dry. Cons: • witch hazel • not moisturizing, but leaves my skin feeling dry • don’t feeling balanced after using lol Pros: • cute bottle for decoration, perhaps stick a piece of flower in there Aesop - B & Tea Balancing Toner
