Beauty from within🧡
We all want to look our best and feel our best, but would you sacrifice health over looks? I ask this as I recently discovered that I was feeling better in terms of my thyroid, it wasn’t bothering me as it did before (inflammation, hoarseness, dry throat, etc.) and I didn’t feel as anxious as I before either. Even with my period cycle around the corner, I still felt way better and this was only in a 5 day span of not using any products on my face (because I was feeling sick & tired). I had found this great website/app and I started to see that my routine was toxic, not completely toxic, but still not at all what they had advertise as clean or natural!!! Things are not always what they seem and companies lie, this is why it is really important to read the ingredients and if we don’t know what they are look them up, just like we do with our food. It turns out that $100 product was causing my TSH levels to be disrupted and while looking up this products on their database and reading not only what they say it is but the citations they provide, a lot of cosmetic products, skincare, body care, basically beauty products in general have a lot of hidden ingredients besides parabens and sulfates that are horrible for our well-being. I was doing this damage to myself unknowingly... my skin was looking great! it was the best it has ever been but I wasn’t feeling the best I have ever felt... There’s many products that contain hormonal disruptors and I needed to share my recent discovery. They affect mainly our endocrine system and the endocrine system is what controls our hormones, adrenal gland’s, lymph glands and so on. It is detrimental to a woman’s health, even though it affects men as well. It is really important to also notice that, those ingredients also contribute to higher chances of not getting pregnant & possibly causing cancerous nodules. But research has shown that it mainly affects thyroxine levels and TSH (I wonder why so many women have thyroid issues👀). The Good Face Project is a great way to start analyzing what your products have and maybe why you haven’t been feeling as good and what may be the answers that you’re looking for✨ ✨Ingredients to avoid: - CYCLOPENTASILOXANE - BHT - CARRAGEENAN - FRAGRANCE (added) - BUTYLPHENYL METHYLPROPIONAL(has other names) IFRA RESTRICTED!!! - BENZYL BENZOATE (pesticide/insecticide IFRA restricted) other names: Benzyl salicylate, benzyl benzoate and butylphenylmethylpropional (Lilial) - RETINAL (E-Retinal, Retinene 1, all trans-Retinal, Vitamin A1, aldehyde, Retinal, all-trans-Retinyl aldehyde, all-trans-Retinene, adapalene) ✨Citations: - A K Charles et al. Vegan Soap for Sensitive Skin
The All Over Soap by Graydon is lovely for any skin type but especially if you have sensitive skin. GRAYDON - All Over Soap This soap contains a pH of 5.8-6.3. It doesn’t strip your skin and it leaves it feeling fresh and clean. It’s formulated with a plant-based surfactant making it vegan. This all-in-one cleanser can be used as a body wash, for your hair, for your face, or even as a hand wash, clothing wash, or for your dishes! I use it as a body soap but I’ve also used it on my hands, or hand-washing my face masks :) It smells a lot like citrus, rosemary, and lavender, which makes it relaxing if you prefer showering in the evening. You could even pop this into the bath if you prefer baths. I love using a soap that makes my skin feel clean without stripping it of moisture. I also like knowing that it’s made from natural ingredients and I’m not lathering my skin with chemicals like I’m sure a lot of drugstore brands contain (maybe not but maybe they do? Lol. Can anyone confirm?) This retails for $25 CAD for 240 mLs.

MY BEST SKINCARE TIPS 🧖🏽♀️
Invest in quality skincare: This doesn’t necessarily mean expensive skincare simply skincare good ingredients. Use products tailored to your concerns and needs. Wash your face: There should be no need for you not to be washing your face, especially at bed time. I once read that sleeping with your makeup on ages you 2 weeks. I’m not 100% sure if it’s true but it’s something that’s always stuck with me. Take it easy with the actives: If you have decided to take the plunge into using products with active ingredients ie: retinoids, Vitamin C etc take it slowly! While it might be enticing to head right for the strongest start with a lower percentage and work your way up. This will cause less irritation.
