Best Cleanser Awards to my favs!!
Best Cleanser Awards to my favs!!
As the first step of skincare, the importance of cleansing should not be ignored. But there are so many cleansers with similar ingredients and uses and makes it hard to choose the right one (or ones). These three awards are for my favorite cleaners that stand out among all I have tried. Best Daily Acne Cleanser--Neutrogena Oil-free Acne Wash This cleansing gel for acne-prone skin contains salicylic acid, which is a perfect ingredient for me(I have oily skin) to unclog pores. Though there is pink grapefruit extract and it is pink indeed, it smells to me more like mango or pineapple but still like it. For me, it is not as drying as other so-called “acne-skin-friendly “cleansers that make you feel dry and stripped at all. I have used this for two weeks, and a little goes a long way especially with its gel-like texture. Feels really clean yet refreshing on the face and pretty worthy! Best Resurfacing Cleanser--NeoStrata Foaming Glycolic Wash I have to say this cleansing foam is so powerful and strong and even not suitable for many. Before using this, I have tried NeoStrata Facial Cleanser and it was gentler than this foam. It has a large amount of glycolic acid (an AHA) and lactobionic acid (a BHA and also a strong antioxidant) to clean pores, remove dead skin, and prepare skin for optimal benefits of the following routine. I just use this every other day right now by building tolerance, and the result is quite obvious: my face got softer and smoother after each use. This foam is worthy for those with low potential for irritation to try to receive a much smoother skin. Best Exfoliating Cleanser--Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser This cleanser comes more directly with micro-particles to exfoliate skin. Compared to NeoStrata foam, this Clarins scrub cleanser simply exfoliates all dead skin without leaving any harsh feeling on face. It is easy to cleanse all excess oil on my face with this and wash away but not over-drying at all. The orange color and scent are very refreshing and soothing, and this has been my first step of mask ritual for a long time. Clarins has my heart.

The ordinary | Caffeine Solution
The ordinary | Caffeine Solution
☕️What it is? The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG ☕️Key Ingredient: Caffeine and Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG). Actually, I don't know what it is, but it does work magically in de-puffing!! ☕️My Thought: I always prefer eye cream to serum because the texture of cream makes me feel moisturized, but this serum is really my HG! I dare say, there is no better eye serum than this in removing puffiness. Whether you just woke up or cried because of your boyfriend, whenever you think your eyes are puffy, open this magical little bottle, squeeze out a few drops and apply them to your eyelids and swollen eye bags. Massage it in a soft way until it is absorbed, and you will notice the change in 10 mins. To be honest, this is not a good serum for daily routine because it is not nourishing, but as an occasional tool to deal with puffiness, it is perfect! Plus its price, less than $7!!! I can't find a reason why you wouldn't buy it!! No matter your skin type and budget, as long as you think you may occasionally need some de-puff products, buy it!!

Quick but EFFECTIVE morning routine using Cerave
Quick but EFFECTIVE morning routine using Cerave
Fun fact: using too many products on your skin can actually have more harm than good. The best advice someone gave me was to start simple, then ADD once you understand what products and ingredients work for you! So this is my super quick but effective morning routine for when I’m in a rush! Using only 3 products from one of my favorite skin care company. I started using Cerave from a recommendation from a dermatologist. I was having a hard time controlling my breakouts and couldn’t find any products that weren’t overly expensive. He told me about Cerave and how it was affordable with natural ingredients to help my skin. I started this 3 step routine and immediately saw my breakouts clear. I’ve since been able to add additional steps to my skincare routine but like I said starting off simple, figuring out what works for your skin is so IMPORTANT! I love Cerave because it is affordable, clean, and a great start to improving your skincare routine! Three steps: Cleansing Vitamin C Moisturizer Sunscreen (so technically 4 steps cause we can’t ever forgot to protect our skin!) My skin is oily/combination so I found using the CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin this is my all time go to facial cleanser. If your skin is oily or combination I would highly recommend. I would not reccomend if your skin is dry. It’s fragrance free, non-irritating, and it won’t clog your pores. I prefer this cleanser over others because it helps control the oil on my face without drying out my skin. It also contains 3 essential ceramides, niacinamide & hyaluronic acid to help restore your skin barrier. This product actually was one of the main reasons my face stopped breaking out so bad. I’ve been using this product for about 6 months now and have seen some great results! Next up I love using the CeraVe - Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum this vitamin C serum helps to brighten my skin, stimulate collagen, and even help with fine lines. Only use vitamin c in the morning. This is actual the first vitamin C product I’ve used on my face. I use this every morning (NOT at night) and it helps brighten my face, improves skin tone, and texture. I actually use this instead of using a face toner. Toners tend to clog my pores and this provides the brightness and evenness I crave for my skin! Step 3 is always an important one: moisturize! I can’t live without my CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin I even keep the travel size in my purse. Like I said Cerave is so affordable this Daily Moisturizer is only $12. And for $12 you get a lightweight formula that provides 24-hour hydration. Does not contain any oil and it’s recommended for normal to dry skin. I use this in the morning (I use a different moisturizer at night). And ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SUNSCREEN!! In a rush, no big deal! Use this simple but still effective morning routine. Less than 5 mins and you’re out the door!

Most products are super inexpensive! Neutrogena - Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes These are the best makeup remover wipes in my opinion. They are moisturized just enough and helps me get rid of stubborn mascara. Others I’ve used aren’t wet enough like these. Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub This has always been my holy grail, my go-to .. I don’t think I will use anything else for right now. It really cleanses my face and gets all the dirt/makeup off. I love witch hazel - it evenly tones out your skin tone and helps you keep a youthful look. I also just like that extra clean feel when using it. These are my top two - DICKINSON'S - Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner THAYERS - Cucumber Facial Mist I switch off from different moisturizers but I’ve been using Cetaphil for years. I also use a vitamin E Oil and or cream/ doesn’t really matter what brand for me as long as it’s 100% vitamin E oil/cream. Also Vitamin E oil helps you get mimimize dark marks/scars , helps with eczema, if you’re itching - this is perfect, and prevents fine lines and wrinkles. Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream AS I AM - Vitamin E Oil

🧡 the drugstore holy grail 🧡
🧡 the drugstore holy grail 🧡
no, seriously, I’ve been using it since I was thirteen. Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash 🔸cleanser🔸 anyone who is a super oil producer will love this. It’s great for pre teen and teen acne, and we love salicylic acid! ✴️ pros... inexpensive and everywhere! you can run to the drugstore or to any big chain super store, Ulta, or wherever you like to shop for skin care and get this for under &15 every time. oil free! clean scent & feel! washing with this cleanser always feels refreshing. this product is great for feeling squeaky clean and renewed. if you wake up in the AM with super oily skin or have had a long day, this cleanser comes in clutch. fights acne. ✴️ cons... can be drying and irritating. alcohol and other artificials that some like to avoid! personally, it does not do a great job with my blackheads. I never use it without my CeraVe hydrating face wash and some moisturizer!

Affordable Night Routine for Oily Skin
Affordable Night Routine for Oily Skin
Here is my night routine! It is pretty similar to my morning routine(sorry about the cluster of products in the picture i tried my best to tag all the products). This a pretty affordable night routine for someone who used to deal with a lot of hormonal acne. Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser Just like my morning routine, I use the Cetaphil cleanser. Sometimes i will use a bit more at night depending on if i wear makeup or not. Also i forgot to take a picture but to take off my makeup I use the GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Makeup Remover on a cotton pad. I try to stay away from makeup wipes and micellar water is super gentle! The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Again, just like my morning routine I use 2 drops of this after cleansing. I seriously recommend this product it’s cheap and very effective! Also make sure not to touch the dropper to your face! The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution So I am sure most people have heard of this amazing product. This is my 5th week using it and I can definitely see a difference in my skin! I use it once a week every Friday night. I skip the niacinamide because apparently it’s not good to mix these 2 in the same night/morning. I’m not sure if that’s backed up but just in case I skip this step every Friday night. I put 2 drops onto my fingers and gently spread it across my face. I make sure to avoid the eye area. Leave it on for 10 minutes and no longer. My scars have started to disappear and my skin feels incredible afterwards. I do also use a prescribed acne medication after this step just like my morning routine. I obviously can’t tag it but if you are struggling with acne and are able to, consider seeing a dermatologist! CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion This is by far my all-time favorite moisturizer! I use the ultra-lightweight one that’s oil-free. It doesn’t feel super heavy but makes me skin feel very hydrated and soft. I have never used any other night moisturizer because I know I will always come back to this one. ESTĒE LAUDER - DayWear Eye Cooling Anti-Oxidant Moisture GelCreme I then do eye cream. I’m not super picky when it comes to eye creams as long as they are not heavy. This product is kinda random when I got it but it definitely makes my eyes feel hydrated which is all I care about. Briogeo - B. Well Organic + Cold-Pressed 100% Castor Oil I cant say enough good things about this product. I started using it about a year ago on my eyelashes and eyebrows. I use a clean spoolie and my eyelashes have grown so long. I naturally have thick eyebrows but i will kinda run the excess on them. I still have my 1st bottle and I am surprised I haven’t run out yet since I use this every night. Any castor oil works but this one comes in a bottle!
