OLE HENRIKSEN ‘THE CLEAN TRUTH’ FOAMING CLEANSER
Hi everyone! Today I am going to be talking about the Ole Henriksen ‘The Clean Truth’ Foaming Cleanser. I have been using this one for weeks now so I’m ready to share a review on it! This foaming cleanser by Ole Henriksen will cost you $30 – an average price for a high end cleanser. For this you get 7oz of product, which is almost 200ml. The formula is rich in anti-oxidants and contains African red tea extract and Vitamin C; resulting in soft, supple, healthy & bright skin. I have been testing this foaming cleanser for a number of weeks now, and I still feel ever so slightly on the fence. Don’t get me wrong – this is definitely a nice cleanser which is effective at cleaning the skin. I agree with the claim this provides a thick luxurious lather that removes makeup and dirt well, leaving you with a fresh and clean face. My skin is somewhat soft after using this one too. However, I have used cleansers which do a better job in my opinion – I don’t think this foaming cleanser strips the skin, but it doesn’t feel hydrated at all either – it feels slightly dry but not tight like some cleansers can make the skin feel. I think if you have super dry skin you may not like this. I think with continued use this isn’t ideal for my normal to dry skin. I also don’t see much of a brightening affect considering that this is contains vitamin C. The Soap & Glory vitamin C facial wash was more brightening in my opinion and costs less than this. I was disappointed by this as that ingredient is a key reason I chose this cleanser. This doesn’t mean I dislike the cleanser – it does the job well and I can add ‘skin benefit ingredients’ by using my other products such as serums and moisturisers. It cleans my skin and leaves me feeling fresh which is good enough… I just want more for the price! If you have oilier skin than me then you might like this more than me as it does certainly cleanse the skin nicely. I will use this one up, and I am still intrigued by Ole Henriksen, but for cleanser I will be going back to my Liz Earle cleanse & Polish. Have you tried this foaming cleanser? Or anything else by Ole Henriksen? Let me know in the comments below!

Ole Henriksen Truth Foam Cleanser A1?
I had multiple breakouts the past few days and the day before yesterday I got my package for my foam cleanser and decided to use it as soon as possible since I think one of the cleansers I used irritated my face. I usually do a double cleanse with an oil based cleanser then the Ole Henriksen foam cleanser. I swear that this cleanser worked wonders as I slept.. my pimples have surprisingly shrunk and my skin is softer than ever. I woke up feeling so happy knowing my skin actually feels calm and less irritated! Love how gentle it is even the texture speaks volumes for it. I got mine on sale for $24 on Ole site but original price is $30, for a huge bottle is so much worth it than the extra 2-3 products to get rid of a pimples. 🧡 I just found my staple cleanser 🥺
THIS IS SO WILD!!!
W e A r e W i l d : s o l i d c l e a n p r o b i o t i c c l e a n s e r✨ This product is a stick form, probiotic filled cleanser that is meant to gently cleanse the skin without stripping it. Target concerns include brightening, balancing, and nourishing! This product is a balm form, BUT...the coolest part is after you apply, you rub it in with your finger tips and then it’s an oil! Then, it gets even better when you add water! It then turns into a foamy lather! So fun to watch it change forms! I am absolutely obsessed with this cleanser! The ingredients are amazing, it works so well, it’s gentle, and the brand is cruelty-free, vegan, non-toxic, and so on!!! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this product, it is so great for travel as well as everyday use! This product is $24 and I think that is absolutely fair and worth the money!!! RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I am giving this 5 out of 5 stars because it has kept my skin feeling balanced for sure! When I wash my face with this it feels like my skin after! There’s no residue, no dryness, nothing! Just my skin!
Luxury does not mean better!!!
I won this Eve Lom Cleanser in a giveaway over the summer and was SO excited to try it because Eve Lom is a luxury brand I’ve had my eye on for a while but could never justify spending money on personally. I have the 1.6 oz cleanser which retails for $50 on the brand’s website (this size is not available online at Sephora) — the mini size (.7 oz) goes for $24, the standard size (3.4 oz) goes for $80 and the big 6.8oz size goes for a whopping $135. Honestly, I’m really not convinced any cleanser is worth THAT much money, but I guess that’s up to personal preference. Into the review… This cleanser is supposed to be suitable for all skin types and claims to be a five-benefit formula that decongests, exfoliates, tones, soothes and deep cleanses the skin to remove impurities and even waterproof makeup. It is said to be the solution for uneven skin tone and texture and acne and blemishes. I was soooo confused when I opened this product and saw that it was gritty because it is marketed as a cleansing balm! The brand promotes its exclusive combination of essential oils like clove oil to target blemishes, eucalyptus oil to combat toxins, hops oil (whatever that is) to tone the skin, Egyptian chamomile oil to soften and soothe, and cocoa butter to condition and nourish the skin. Wherever you stand on whether or not essential oils are good for the skin, I still don’t see a reason for the price tag of this product. The suggested use says to apply this to dry skin with dry hands as you would any other cleansing balm/first cleanse, and then to use their muslin cloths that has been soaked in hot water to work the product around the face. Here’s where my issue with this product is. You pay such a big price tag and then to use it properly have to buy an additional product (which is not cheap either: Sephora sells a set of 3 Eve Lom muslin cloths for $22). I guess this is where I should tell you that I don’t own their muslin cloths so I guess my review may be different had I had that additional product, but I did try the product with a gentle washcloth in hopes I’d receive the same effects. In looking at the ingredients list, the first ingredient is actually Paraffinum Liquidum (mineral oil) followed by lanolin and a very short ingredients list after that, mostly of the aforementioned essential oils. I could write a whole post about mineral oil in skincare (it is both suggested as a first cleansing product for people with fungal acne like me but also carries a very negative connotation in the skincare world at large as it is a by-product of petroleum which is not good for the environment!!) Like I said this product is gritty which I don’t really understand, and I honestly do not think it removes waterproof makeup or works as a first cleanser. I was much happier using this as a second cleanser and even for that I don’t love it or see what about it is worth that much money. I don’t really like this product at all and am glad I got to try it out but would not repurchase or recommend to really anyone because I don’t think it does what it says it does, the ingredients list can be seen as pretty problematic for a multitude of reasons, its super expensive and to use it “properly” you have to buy a whole other product to go along with it! Hate to do it but I’m giving this a 1/5. The more I learn about luxury skincare brands and ingredients, the less inclined I am to use them and this is the perfect example of something I think just looks nice on the vanity and serves no real purpose in someone’s skincare routine.

what the f✨is PHA?
You’ve heard of alpha hydroxy acid and beta hydroxyacids as skin exfoliating and acne killing holy grail’s. but what is a PHA? I first encountered this new acid in OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser . Say HELLO! to POLYHYDROXY ACID AHA’s second generation cousin! Common PHAs include glucanolactone, galactose, and lactobionic acid What’s the Difference? like AHA’s, PHAs exfoliate dead skin cells. PHA’s have a larger molecular structure and are mostly surface level. This makes the most irritating and better for sensitive problem skin. They also help prevent collagen demise due to glycation (sugar attachment) Who’s if for? if you have sensitive or dry skin, these could be the chemical exfoliants for you!

EVE LOM Cleanser 💛
Today I’m reviewing the iconic EVE LOM - EVE LOM Cleanser , marketed for all skin types as a “five benefit formula that decongestant, exfoliates, tones, soothes, and deep cleaners to remove impurities and waterproof makeup for a beautiful complexion.” It specifically presents itself as a solution for uneven skin tone, dullness & uneven texture, and acne and blemishes. It includes four targeted essential oils for a very luxurious cleansing experience. Let’s chat about the texture for a moment. It is one of the most beautiful balms I’ve used. It is thick, but emulsifies easily with the included muslin cloth. Using this product is truly an EXPERIENCE. I savored every moment of this balm because it made my skin feel so luxe and smooth. The jar lasted me about seven months with use about 3-4 times a week, as it does not take a lot of product to clean your face. The only reason I marked this as four stars is for the price. It is $80 for 100mL, and Drunk Elephant’s Slaai Butter cleansing balm is $34 for a similar amount and offers a similar luxurious experience. However, if you have the ability to splurge, Eve Lom is truly an incredible experience.

+Gentle Clean Cleansers+
Indie lee a clean beauty brand whose mission is: “to provide healthier skincare options is embodied through its undertaking of rigorous testing protocols to ensure clean, high-performance products” Today I am sharing my skin experience with two of Indie Lee Products. Both are gel type cleansers. I had some pros and cons using the INDIE LEE - Rosehip Cleanser . To start of this is suggested for sensitive skin types and since I have sensitive skin I decided to try it out. I really like its natural rose hip oil fragrance (non-irritant); gentle (light foam) and soothing to skin. However, I did not like the after feel on my skin after cleansing. It did feel smooth but, my skin felt like there was residue ( really hard to explain sorry). This feeling was usually around my nose. Contains: 🔅Rosehip Seed Oil 🔅Red seaweed extract 🔅Vitamins A,C, & E Price & size: 30ml - $10 125ml- $34 While using INDIE LEE - Brightening Cleanser my skin felt super clean as if it vacuumed all impurities out of my pores. The first thing I smelled when using this was the light fragrance of strawberry. Gentle and Nourishing to skin. Great for oily skin types. Contains: 🔅Strawberry seed oil 🔅 Hydrolyzed wheat protein 🔅 Tomato extract Price & size: 30ml - $10 125ml - $34 Overall both are great and this review is based on how my skin felt after using these cleansers. Just because we share the same skin type does not mean we can use the same product. Price I think it is worth buying is not too expensive and glass is durable (I’ve dropped these many times and surprisingly the glass did not break)
INDIE LEE-Brightening Cleanser
P A N A C E A surprisingly my skin has kept up some serious resilience against the constant nose blowing and all to which to I thank my current routine starting with ever moisturizing cleanser from panacea a brand that believes in 3 easy steps to clean, protected and replenished skin. ✨The aegis daily facial cleanser is formulated with Hyaluronic Acid, a part of their moisture shield complex which retains hydration while removing drawn out impurities at the same time🌟I like the gentle lather it creates when I use it over my first cleanse and it works with any first cleanser oil, milk or balm. So gentle I can use everyday day or night. ✨With green tea to soften and nourish and laminaria japonica to eliminate toxins it rinse of leaving my skin soft and even looking a nice feeling considering the cold air my face has to endure once I leave🌟so far it hasn't clogged my pores and nor has my face felt tighten after drying. On days I use this cleanser I don't do about using a full routine, just heavier serums and essences to seal in my retain moisture level🌟there are plenty of cleansers on the market so for me this one differs based on the level of which my skin stays moisturized after continous washing and use. I am curious to know how the full line works together but for now I'm please with this emerging cleanser🌟 . .
