DIY mask for soft smooth hair 🥑
After recently dying my hair a fashion colour my hair has been dry and frizzy especially around be my hairline. Cue this easy DIY hair mask anybody can do at home and will leave you with beautifully soft and smooth hair which is hydrated and light. Ingredients: 🥑 1x ripe avocado 🥚 1x egg 🍯 2x tablespoons of honey 🌱 2x tablespoons of olive oil Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender and blitz until smooth. The texture will be thick and creamy similar to hair conditioner. Massage the avocado mix through your hair and leave to sit for 30 minutes or longer (I left it on for 1 hour in the pictures). Thoroughly wash then condition your hair as normal.

onion juice for hair health and growth
Today I was reading an article on naturallycurly talking about the benefits of onion juice for hair health and growth. • • 💕 Apparently, onion juice is a great natural remedy for strengthening hair, increasing length retention and heal the scalp. • • 💕 Would you try incorporating an onion juice rinse in with your hair care routine? - - - - - - - - -
paying extra attention to those ends! 🧐
With the temperatures cooling down, it’s important to start paying extra attention to those ends! 🧐 💋If you’re one to wear a lot of scarves, try tucking your ends under so your hair isn’t constantly rubbing against materials that can encourage frizz like wool 💋Using heating caps while deep conditioning will help the moisture penetrate the hair shaft better and keep you hair shinier longer • 💋Pay extra attention to your night care routine and swap out your cotton pillow case for satin OR you can always do a bonnet if that’s better for you -
squeezing excess water out of your hair
If you don’t want to spend the extra money for a micro fiber towel for squeezing excess water and products out of your hair, grab an old cotton t-shirt and use that instead! • • 💕 I personally love using cotton t-shirts because they don’t cause any frizz and still get the job done. Micro-fiber towels do the same thing, but at least with a t-shirt, most people have that laying around the house 👌🏽 - - - - - - - - -
One ingredient that you might not know is having negative effects on your hair is Glycerin. Glycerin is a humectant and for some, is the cause of dry frizzy hair. • • ☀️ If you live in an area where it’s very hot and dry, glycerin can work against you and pull moisture out of your hair instead of hold it in. If you find it hard to keep moisture in your hair, try looking for products with little or no glycerin or only use one product in your curly cocktail with this ingredient. • • ☀️ How do you know how much glycerin is in your products? Check the ingredient label. The first ingredients are most prominent and the last ingredients are less prominent in the product.
