I’ve been testing the Briogeo 100% Organic + Cold Pressed Castor Oil for the last week. It’s for hair, brows, lashes & skin. Here’s the deets! TEXTURE This stuff is clear & thick. It has a soft feel to it & not slimey or slippery. It sinks in well the way a lotion would. I like to use this on my cuticles & elbows ☺️ USES FOR HAIR So I used this on my dry hair at roots & ends. When the stuff soaks in at the ends you’re left with extremely baby soft hair! At the roots it’s not greasy but if you over do it it can kind of look that way. It’s not thick of enough to tame my edges but I it’s great for softness & shine. I also used this on wet hair (I like better on dry) & directly on my scalp. When I parted my hair into four sections & ran some on my scalp the relief from tight itchy dryness was amazing!! It felt so good! It can look a little unwashed in that area but I wear my hair in ponytail daily & love that high shine soft look. Also good for brows & lashes & comes with tiny pink wands ✔️ Versatile ✔️ Cruelty Free ✔️ Vegan ✔️ Gluten Free ✔️ Fair Trade Free of 6 no-no’s!! 👏🏻 Rich in omega fatty acids, vitamin e, & riconolieic acid

Going Beyond “Clean Beauty” Labels
My thoughts on clean beauty: @cherie Ann wrote an article about my clean journey ☺️ ((Im not wearing any makeup in this picture at all 💓)) A major thing to take away from the word “clean” is what is truly clean🙁? And what it means to you. Not everyone wants or needs to use cleaner products. But at the end of the day cleaner labeled products can be more effective for your skin needs. So many products contain ingredients that are just not needed or do the opposite of what the product is made to achieve- like putting an alcohol in a moisturizer, this will just make you skin even drier. Going for cleaner products should mean going for clean ingredients as well. What I do for a clean life style: ⭐️Disclaimer: I’m a (junior) biomedical student. So much of what I write here is my personal opinion based on what I’ve learned about the human body and how it works at a university level, but many of these I’m about to explain can be verified by doctors. I’m not a doctor. This is what worked for me and my body⭐️ Overall I’ve learned that you can’t just use these cleaner beauty products/ skincare on the surface and not do anything where it truly counts- from within. Clean beauty for me in more recent years has been discovering what things I can use/eat to nourish my body from the inside. Little to no sugar or heavy carbohydrates like white bread or pasta, NO added color ever. I’ve cut out almost all dairy products (expect for cheese 😩😍) and I take NEOCELL - Super Collagen and HUM - Daily Cleanse Clear Skin and Body Detox Supplement to help my skin and ensure that my body’s cells are processing some unhealthy items/ fatty food items I may eat time to time well. (Look up a Chinese pimple chart to see where you may be having problems with your skin based on organ function it’s really cool) Take care of your body and you will be rewarded. Clean beauty product I recommend: I will always swear by ILIA - Limitless Lash Mascara 🤤 98% natural and melts off with water which I LOVE. because I hate taking off mascara. The best part is my NATURAL LASHES LOOK SO MUCH BETTER than before I was using it. It’s amazing. Favorite beauty tip: I always always am constantly dusting my room and cleaning my phone📱. I think that we shouldn’t turn use face products to conceal any imperfections (not saying everyone who uses it does) but many people tend to. Small changes in your environment and taking breaks from wearing makeup all together can do so much for your skin. Also tea tree oil is a BLESSINGGG with water to spot treat pimples.TRADER JOE'S - Spa 100% Australian Tea Tree Oil Clean beauty overall: Take time to learn what popular ingredients mean and if what you’re using now- labeled “clean” or not is benefitting or harming you. 😊❤️ Dont be fooled!
While I do love products which take general care of skin and hair, sometimes it’s fun to focus on one or two tiny details- like eyebrows and eyelashes. My permanent quest for silky brows led me to trying the briogeo B. Well Castor Oil, part of their line of two 100 percent natural oils designed to target specific concerns. In the case of the castor oil, this product (derived from castor beans) contains ricinoleic acid (an anti-inflammatory), unsaturated fatty acids (Omega 6 and 9), and the antioxidant Vitamin E. As well as being an effective moisturiser for face, hair and bodies, Briogeo recommends applying this (very carefully) with a cotton bud to eyelashes and eyebrows to strengthen and condition. For me the results are fairly impressive. After using it overnight I certainly have considerably silkier eyebrows and my eyelashes appear slightly glossier. I have also been using this as a pre-shampoo treatment on the very ends of my hair and am also pleased with how hydrated they feel. I have a feeling this would work well on any particularly dry patches, such as elbows or knees. Plus points: Natural, organic, Fair Trade, a powerful moisturiser Minuses: Pretty expensive for just one ingredient. However this oil has been cold-pressed- a gentle process which preserves the highest possible amount of nutrients. It is also extremely thick so I only need the tiniest amount and it should last quite a while.
Briogeo—I was introduced to this brand a few years back with their volume line. I especially love that they’re a clean hair care line . I’m really enjoying the Rosarco line. It’s hydrating and repairing while not being too heavy or weighing my fine hair down. It was perfect for the winter season here. The Rosarco Milk leave in conditioner is beautifully light and not heavy or greasy. My hair feels restored after using this trio . Two multitasking oils were launched as part of the B Well line—Castor & Tea Tree Oils. Both are organic and you can use them in a multitude of ways on the skin, hair & body. Castor oil is nourishing and good for lashes & eyebrows, nourish the hairline & taming flyaways, hydrating rough spots like elbows & knees plus conditioning cuticles . Tea Tree oil is antiseptic and it can be used for soothing blemishes, treating minor abrasions or calming an itchy dry scalp. You can add it to your shampoo or another carrier oil. My favorite way to use it is to add a few drops to my shampoo before I wash. Calms my scalp like nothing else. It smells great too as aromatherapy .

Scalp Revival Treatment by Briogeo
This is the Scalp Revival Charcoal and Tea Tree Scalp Treatment by Briogeo which is a clean hair care brand available at Sephora. This is meant to soothe dry scalp itchiness and restore hydration. This product is amazing. I also adore this whole line, especially the tub of scalp shampoo! I use this after washing my hair and drop in the areas that are bothering me. It’s wintertime here and I normally don’t have scalp itchiness but it’s so cold and dry that these are coming in handy. Within a few minutes, irritation subsides. It has a slight smell to it but nothing that my leave in conditioner can’t handle. These don’t leave my hair sticky or tacky at all. Besides them working, it’s like they’re not even there! I love that this line focuses on scalp health as a means to healthy hair. Very important. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Tea Tree Scalp Treatment

I’m going to start with my favorite. The Rhythm of the Rain Hair Masque is super conditioning; It has shea butter, organ oil, olive oil, and marula oil, to name a few of the ingredients. I used it after my conditioner and left it in for 2 minutes while showering. It gave my hair a natural sheen, and my hair felt “fortified” (I blow dry it a few times a week to style.) I also fell in love with the fresh scent - It really does smell like a beautiful spring rain. ☀️The Luxury Hair Oil was just OK for me. The product contains sunflower, avocado, and rosehip oil and felt lightweight. I used a few drops on dry hair, massaging root to tip and leaving it in for 20 minutes before showering. I tried it on two separate occasions and didn’t notice a perceptible difference in my hair’s slickness or sheen. The brand recommends that one use case is to put the oil on frizzy hair; I don’t have this particular issue, so maybe that’s why it fell flat for me. ✨Overall, I was super impressed by the Rhythm of the Rain mask and had a neutral opinion of the Walk in the Sun oil. The packaging of these products is gorgeous and reminds me of impressionist art, and the sizes are generous enough to last many showers.

Was super excited to try love_amika 's RESET pink charcoal cleansing oil, and to no surprise, it did not disappoint! I'll admit, I'm not too familiar with scalp treatments, but I'm quickly getting into them, as this one has been great for my dry scalp. Unfamiliar? Think of it as double cleansing for your hair/scalp; the oil breaks down any product build up, while also hydrating the skin, prepping the scalp for shampoo (or the second cleanse). This is how it works: you piece your dry, unwashed hair into sections (I did about six) and apply the product to the roots- the nozzle makes this super easy to do without creating a mess. Once applied, you massage it into the rest of your scalp to distribute, then add water to form the oil into a lather. Wait 3-5 minutes, rinse thoroughly, and follow with your regular shampoo and conditioner. I was a bit worried my hair wouldn't feel properly clean afterwards, but sure enough it wasn't the least bit greasy! I rarely use styling products, so I can't speak to its effectiveness at removing build up, but it definitely helped to reduce scalp dryness. I'll be curious to see if prolonged use has any lasting effect, but I'm cautiously optimistic! You can find it at sephora for $25.

No mess or stress
One of my favorite hair styling products and definitely the most mess free. Just a little spray here and there gives you perfectly soft and healthy shine hair ready even on day 4. I usually spray, from mid-length to the ends, and use my fingers just to run through it a little. Takes maybe 30 seconds. Not sticky at all. Doesn’t leave your hair feeling hard. And no oil on your hands after. Love this product! VERB - Ghost Dry Oil
