Best hair product for dandruff and hijabi’s!
If you have dandruff or wear a hijab I highly suggest this product! It’s a scalp cleansing oil that you use before shampooing and has helped my hair a LOT with dirt/dandruff build up!
Reset Your Scalp 💕
I know I can’t be the only one suffering from a dry, itchy scalp thanks to seasonal dandruff from the winter air; luckily Amika gifted me Reset - a charcoal scalp cleansing oil. This pre-wash starts off as an oil and transforms into a foam as you massage it onto your dry scalp. This purifying hybrid scalp cleanser is infused with pink clay to help remove any product build up or dead skin cells, while providing hydration to promote a healthy scalp. 💕 Application is super easy - you simply part your hair so you are able to get access to your scalp easily, and apply the oil cleanser directly. The pointed tip applicator helps provide an easy & mess free application. Once applied, you simply just massage the product into your scalp, and you’ll see the oil foam up. Unlike a lot of scalp cleansers, there is no waiting period - you can rinse immediately & follow up with your regular shampoo & conditioner routine. I personally love Amika’s shampoo & conditioner from the Vault line up! 💕 Available now at loveamika.com, Sephora, & Amazon for $25, but you can get it for just $20.85 through Walmart online! amika: - Reset Charcoal Detoxifying Scalp Cleansing Oil

Great mixed bristle brush! ✨
HAIR TYPE: fine, straight, oily scalp PRODUCT: Harry Josh Pro Tools Mini Oval Brush Unfortunately I couldn’t bring my self to buy the iconic Mason Pearson brush but I’m so glad I’ve found this one! The size is perfect for carrying around and traveling, and the wooden handle fits perfectly and lies comfortably in my hand as I brush my hair. Unlike drugstore mixed bristle brushes on the market, the nylon bristles are thick without ball tips, allowing it to detangle and smoothen hair with ease. The boar bristles distribute my natural oils easily, making my hair looks like silk!

These are some of my bathroom essentials I just finished the AQUIS water defense pre-wash which is part of their Prime system. I ended up using this more quickly than I intended to since I have a ton of hair. It took a lot of product to cover everything for me even though it sprays out a lot 😞 I really like it though and it helps a lot with maintaining undamaged hair, especially in conjunction with their hair towels. I haven’t used a lot of the leave in conditioner yet mainly because I get lazy sometimes lol but I will be picking it back up again! What are your essentials? -Dax ❤️

Get Your Dandruff Under Control With These Products
Nothing kills a look like those little dead skin snowflakes scattered atop your head and shoulders. It’s one of those things that’s made me self-conscious in the past. Mostly because people often associate dandruff with being unclean and not washing your hair. But sufferers of a dry, flaky scalp know all too well that even daily hair washes can’t curb dandruff. In fact that sometimes makes it worse.
Hydrating my natural 4c hair
All this extra time in quarantine is compelling me to spend more time caring for myself and adding steps to my skin and hair routines I wouldn’t otherwise have or make time for. For me and my natural hair that means reintroducing pre-poos! Pre-pooing is so great for adding that extra moisture and hydration into your hair before the wash day process. Also super helpful in aiding with detangling and minimizing breakage. My hair tends to dry out quickly, especially the ends when my hair is stretched so any added hydration makes a huge difference. I just bought THE Mane CHOICE - Heavenly Halo Herbal Hair Tonic & Soy Milk Deep Hydration Pre-Poo as part of a run on black owned beauty brands I did last week. I have tried their products before and truly enjoyed them but hadn’t in a while so I was happy to revisit! This pre-poo: 💆🏾♀️ smells freaking AMAZING 💆🏾♀️ melts tangles to help minimize breakage and preserve moisture 💆🏾♀️ has umutanga oil, palmarosa oil, yashtimadhu root, yucca root and burdock root oil (never heard of half these things) a blend that supports growth, soothes dry scalp and strengthens hair I can’t get over the smell. This is like the best smelling hair product I’ve ever used! Just used it for the first time and it literally MELTED my super tangled and dry hair. Made it so so easy to finger detangle. I am going to leave it in for about 20 mins then follow up with my TPH BY TARAJI - Hustle & Co Cowash and TPH BY TARAJI - Make It Rain Hydrating Conditioner . Today the leave in conditioner I’ll use is the OUAI - OUAI Leave-In Conditioner which also has an amazing smell and then coconut oil and seal it all with tgin - Butter Cream Daily Moisturizer
