OMG! I will never have enough of this magical mask. It’s such a satisfying feeling when my skin is thirsty for water and it’s very soothing as well. I normally put it on for less than 10 min after toner and essence for a shot of deep hydration then go with the rest of my normal night routine.

I love Sephora! This is because I have bought so many great beauty products from this place. Sephora never disappoints. Nowadays whenever I want to buy beauty products, Sephora is the first place that comes to mind. Today I’ll be sharing just a few of the many products that I absolutely love from Sephora and wish everyone to give them a try! My Skin: My skin is very oily and dull, probably because I always stay up late and like to eat oily food. I also have enlarged pores that I wish to be gone and uneven skin texture. My face is always puffy in the morning to the point that my face shape and eyelids have completely disappeared. Product One: Skin Gym Rose Quartz Crystal Facial Roller A$53 SKIN GYM - Rose Quartz Crystal Facial Roller I have been using this facial roller every day since I got it from Sephora. Before I used it, I never thought that I needed it, but I immediately fell in love with it as soon as I used it on my face because of how nice it felt on my face. It has now become an inseparable part of my skincare routine. This face roller is made from rose quartz, a type of natural crystal. I heard that crystal healing has been used for centuries for smooth, youthful-looking skin.  I can feel that my skin condition has been improving after I have started using this face roller for a few weeks. This is because it helps to get the circulation of my face going and it is a very de-stressing tool. I like to use this face roller with either oils, serums, masks, or moisturizers to give myself a facial massage and to increase product absorption. I also recommend putting it in the fridge overnight for a more refreshing experience, and to help get rid of the puffiness. Even though some people might find this tool to be a bit pricey, I still think that it is a good investment and this tool can definitely stay useful for a long while. Product Two: Fresh Vitamin Nectar Antioxidant Face Mist ($36 / 100ml) fresh - Vitamin Nectar Antioxidant Face Mist I have tried many types of face mist in the past and I find myself always coming back for this product. I initially did not have a high expectation of this product because I have not heard much about this entire Vitamin line from Fresh. I was genuinely surprised by how good this product operates on my face. It leaves my skin hydrated and with a glowing radiance.  I especially love the scent, which smells like sweet citrus. The mist is very fine and sprays evenly throughout the face. It leaves a slightly sticky finish. The pricing is quite affordable because it is a huge bottle that can last me for a few months. I use it whenever I want to feel refreshed. It claims to protect the face from pollution, heat, and sweat so I also use it as a cooling primer before my makeup and as a hydrating pick-me-up throughout the day whenever my skin feels dry. It is enriched with vitamins C, E, and B5, which are great for brightening the complexion and hydrating the skin.  Product Three: Vitamin Nectar Glow Juice Antioxidant Face Serum ($40 / 15ml) fresh - Vitamin Nectar Glow Juice Antioxidant Face Serum Because I love the face mist from the same product line so much that I had to try this serum out as well. Like the face mist, the scent of this serum is equally amazing. Its texture is very watery and lightweight. The product spreads well across the face and gets absorbed quickly. Whenever I use this product, my skin would become very radiant, clear and soft the next day. It gives my skin a youthful glow and any fine lines and wrinkles become less visible. It contains coconut oil, vitamins C and E, and beta carotene that delivers instant hydration and antioxidant protection. The pricing is on the expensive end. I used up one bottle fairly quickly since I use it day and night. It took me less than two months to finish it. Nevertheless, the serum was very effective so I will repurchase and recommend it to my friends and family.

I usually have a fixed simple skincare routine for my everyday life, however, there are times when I want my skin to look extra perfect for that special occasion. For times like this, I would include a few special items that will up my skincare game and help me prepare for the perfect date night. Skin concerns: As someone with oily skin, my biggest concern always revolves around controlling sebum, preventing breakouts, and reducing the appearance of large pores. Being a night owl also means dull and uneven skin tone. Despite having oily skin, I actually have inner dryness and that leads to uneven skin texture. Secret Weapon One: SKIN GYM - Rose Quartz Crystal Facial Roller$53 I only got the facial roller recently, but immediately fell in love with this beauty item. Secret Weapon Two:ESTĒE LAUDER - NightWear Plus 3-Minute Detox Mask$70  This is another product that I will use whenever I want my skin to be in its peak condition. It is a very refreshing, liquid-light clay mask that draws out built-up impurities. My skin immediately feels incredibly smooth and bright! The clay ingredient helps absorb accumulated toxins and debris, so pores look reduced and my face looks clearer, which preps my skin for a beautiful makeup base. Another thing I love about this specific product is that it dries up really quickly, so I only need to apply this on cleansed skin and leave on for three minutes or until it dries before washing off.  Secret Weapon Three: CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Overnight Mask$56 / 100ml Although I have oily skin, but I also need to address my inner dryness or else it could cause my skin texture to be really rough, especially after I use a clay mask that absorbed all the oils.  This product is oil-free so it feels quite lightweight and absorbs well into the skin. It also contains glycerin that is good for providing hydration and cetyl alcohol is another great ingredient that provides hydration and brightening effects. Its texture is very creamy which feels very moisturising. My skin feels very soft and radiant the next morning after I apply it. I would leave it on overnight and wash off the next day to get the maximum effect.

With AERO, my skincare products absorb much quicker than when I'm using my fingers. My skin doesn't feel like there's a film on top of it and my skin care products are completely absorbed. It turns on just by putting pressure on your skin and the treatment heads to 107 degrees which feels amazing! ⭐️ Microneedle Derma Roller - I’ve had this so long I don’t remember the brand. The cylinder of a Derma Roller is covered in tons of little needles that individually prick the surface of the skin, creating what are known as ‘micro-injuries’. After micro-injuries are created, skin has to work extra hard to repair the ‘broken’ cells, which in turn accelerates the production of collagen and elastin. Derma rolling is beneficial for loose skin, fine lines, scarred, dehydrated and hyperpigmented skin. Regular derma rolling has softened my acne scars too. I like to put Hyaluronic Acid on my skin after Derma Rolling. ⭐️ Rose quartz roller - this roller will help depuff, encourage lymphatic drainage, and can be used with serums, sheet masks, facial oils, and moisturizers to help boost their absorption. I keep mine in the fridge and mostly use it to depuff my eyes and also with sheet masks. Do you have any of these tools? Its antimicrobial protection guards the brush against 99%+ of the stain and odor causing bacteria that can grow on unprotected brushes so that you have the confidence of cleansing with a clean brush. I love using the soniclear elite when on the highest setting when I’m cleansing off a full face of makeup. It gets everything of which is important for acne prone and sensitive skin so that you aren’t sleeping in makeup. I’ve even used it after using makeup wipes and an oil cleanse and to my surprise I still had makeup leftover. I definitely owe the clearing of my skin to the soniclear. I used to think a ton of products were breaking me out when part of the problem was my makeup wasn’t being removed completely. I’ve tried knock off spin brushes and they were usually too rough for more than weekly use and made my skin feel raw if I tried to use it daily or every other day. For days when I’m not wearing makeup, I use the gentlest setting and their oat and honey cleanser. It’s good for smoothing out tougher flaky patches without irritating them (around my nose when it’s flaking from blowing it into tissues after a cold). I’ve found the body brush to be great for the sides of my thighs, butt, knees, elbows and other places where I have dry skin that needs gentle exfoliation. I’ve only used the serum head a few times but I use the others regularly. Bliss is one of my favorite affordable yet effective brands, I have to admit i didn’t really like this ‘detoxifier’ mask at first but that’s because my skin barrier was compromised, once I tried it again on healthy skin I really liked it! This baby is formulated with charcoal powder, kaolin clay and willow bark to gently exfoliate and detoxify pores without being overly irritating or drying. I have to say it lives up to its claims! No irritation here, just refined, radiant looking skin. It’s also supposed to deposit a full bottle of serum in one application without dripping and that is also true! I love a good sheet mask and I like to multitask while wearing one, if they’re too drippy or slippery then it’s a no from me so this one is just perfect. 10/10 from me ⭐️ bliss - The Detoxifier Holographic Foil Sheet Mask

Yay for bringing back mini brand reviews! 🥰 This is where I do a couple sentences on every product I’ve tried from a brand. If you have any questions or want an in depth review on a product comment below! GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask - I love this! Creamy formula melts into the skin without being too heavy. Very hydrating but I would only use 2-3x a night. Good beginner retinol. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Mask- They don’t make this anymore but I did like it! A hydrogel sheet mask that felt resfreshing on the skin. I didn’t see many benefits though. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask - The texture is not for everyone but I like it! It’s a little goopy but it does absorb into the skin once worked in. It smells like watermelon jolly ranchers. I would say oily skin only and only she 2-3x a week but I loved the mild exfoliation. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer - I love this for oily skin! Smells like the sleeping mask but not as strong. Adds a lot of hydration without feeling heavy or sticky. GLOW RECIPE - Limited Edition Lip Pop Duo - I feel like it’s overpriced for what it is but if you’re interested it’s a nice product. It has a waxy feel but it’s very lightweight and nourishing. Both smell AMAZING!! Has mild exfoliation that doesn’t stay long on the lips and a really pretty natural tint. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops - Again, over priced for what it is but I still like it. The serum feels amazing on the skin and gives all the benefits on niacinamide. Smells like watermelon but it’s a lot fainter than their other products. It doesn’t give a “glow” like they claim though. It’s more a “dolphin” skin effect that doesn’t last long. I would not use over make up though as it has your typical serum consistency.

Do you like to use sheet masks? When I first got serious about skincare I remember trying GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Maskand loving it. (No longer made). This mask really packed a punch of instant hydration. So I was curious about exploring more and jumped into a subscription box - @myfacetory - where you would get 7 masks a month for around $15. I was pretty good at using the masks at first but soon they started pilling up. Ideally you’d use a mask a week to keep from having a stockpile. Living in the desert 🌵 I thought I’d use them more often. It really did feel good popping one on straight from the fridge. I found some interesting ones that claimed to remove dark spots or help reduce wrinkles but the more and more I started to learn about skincare I thought, “how can this sheet mask really make these claims?” So I ventured off to do research and learned that well, they can’t. Sheet masks are honestly best for hydrating, calming and moisturizing. In my opinion they are best used when you need that extra boost of hydration/moisturizing and are great to pop on before a big event. My daughter has combination skin and we always do a sheet mask before her big events, school dance, pictures, etc, plus it’s fun for that extra pampering. In the end for me they ended up being something I just wasn’t using enough and I didn’t like the added waste to the environment. Again, they can be fun and do have their place so if you do decide to use them I have some tips: Do NOT rinse off the essence after you take your mask off. Unless the mask states otherwise, never rinse your face after using a sheet mask. The essence in the mask is the same as any essence you would get in a bottle. So you want to keep it on! Any essence left in the pouch spread over your neck, chest and hands. Don’t let any go to waste and get all the goodness everywhere! Some packs have a lot in them! Depending on the mask I’m using, I will sometimes add a serum of my own in the mix. One of the good things when you are masking is there’s a protective layer (the sheet) between your skin and the air that is keeping the moisture where it belongs, allowing it to absorb into your skin. So if there is a serum I know is compatible with the mask I like to use it. As mentioned above, placing them in the fridge for a nice cooling sensation. I brought some with on our beach family vacation and it felt so good to put one on after a day in the wind and sun. The ingredient list can be hard to read sometimes but be sure to look for bad alcohols. Some sheet masks can contain them and be drying to the skin. I did end up canceling my subscription for the sheet masks and switched to their skincare/sheet mask quarterly box where I still got five masks every quarter. At this time I have over 70 sheet masks and I have given just as many away! It’s like they multiply in the container they are in, like bunnies! Do you sheet mask? Share your thoughts ⤵️ ❤️🍒
