night night routine

My night time skin care roitine is a ritual. It's my "It's time to decompress, remove the day and transition to a relaxing evening" time. I start by using my micellar water and baby washcloth and remove me eye and facial make. Then, I wash my face with my Cetaphil face wash. After patting my face dry, I pat on some Revolution Bakuchiol Serum. Then I move on to the Revolution Hyaluronic Acid. After that, I get a drop of Revolution Targeted Under Eye Serum with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid and tap it under my eyes. Then I use Revolution Collagen Skin Firming Solution on my face. After that it's Revolution Niacinamide Blemish Refining and Moisturizing Serum. Then, I moisturize some more with CeraVe PM Ultra Moisturizing Lotion and finish off with a sample of Sunday Riley High Dose Rentinoid Serum. After that, I am finally ready to lay down for the evening and go to bed. Final thought, you probably don't need a complicated skin routine at night. and certainly, have a less complicated one on standby for those nights when you just can barely put one foot in front of the other. As my mom used to say....night, night, don't let the bed bugs bite. GARNIER - Micellar Water Facial Cleanser Sensitive Skin
I love, love, love this stuff! it's gentle on my skin. It takes off the toughest mascara without irritating my eyes. I use it as a pre cleanser before washing my face. Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser
While I use this every night, I am only using it until I finish the bottle. I am not crazy about the scent and there is a slight sting on my cheeks when I first lather the product on my skin and I am not fond of that feeling. REVOLUTION - 2% Hyaluronic Acid Serum
REVOLUTION - Targeted Under Eye Serum 5% Caffeine
REVOLUTION - 15% Niacinamide Serum
REVOLUTION - Skin Firming Solution Stabilised Active Collagen Serum
I've enjoyed all of the products I purchased from Revolution, they will all be empties. I am going to try The Ordinary next but the price comparison is about the same. DIFFERIN - Dark Spot Correcting Serum
I haven't noticed a bit of difference since using this. how long do you have to you this before you notice your spots lightening?SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum

50 Shades of Acne
I love it when people say "oh, every teen has hormones and gets acne. Don't worry, puberty will sort you out!" Puberty did not sort me out. I've dealt with acne my whole life until recently. I've been hit with cystic acne, fungal acne, pimples, whiteheads- you name it I've had it. I've narrowed down the problems so you don't have to: -crappy genetics (but hey if there's hope for me there's hope for everyone) -using waaaaay too many products -using harsh products -thinking ingredients only mattered in food -constantly touching my face -looking for quick fixes to problems instead of treating them -dehydrating my skin and stripping it (it used to be hella oily and this is why.) -stress (blame cortisol) -selling myself short (skin is fascinating- it can heal very quickly if you let it) -doing stupid "skincare diys" (btw never do skincare diys) In summary, two years ago I was using at least 4 face washes a day, exfoliating the shi- out of my face, using a bajillion acne treatments, constantly rubbing oil off my face with my oily hands, trying to fix problems that I shouldn't have worried about, and not fixing problems I should've. If I could offer just one piece of advice, it would be to research and really understand your skin and products before doing ANYTHING. For instance, when salicylic acid was super popular I bought loads of it, which in fact dried out my skin and didn't help with the TYPE of problems I was dealing with. My skin routine now is very simple, and very effective (if you wanna see it let me know)- huge change from 2 years ago. So whether you're a teen or an adult (or...a child? idk), one, skin problems are normal, so don't fall into the vicious and money draining cycle of loading up on skincare products every week and two, if you utilize your resources effectively, things will get better! ~Claire 💕

Another Empty Revolution
Well, another farewell is in order. This time to my Revolution Hyaluronic Acid Plumping and Hydrating Serum. It's been such a great product that I've been using one to two times a day since mid-November. It went on smooth and never pilled. I am trying The Ordinary's Hyaluronic Acid starting tomorrow so I shall see how another product performs but will certainly return to Revolution if I am not 100% satisfied with The Ordinary. On to a new experience!REVOLUTION - 2% Hyaluronic Acid Serum Great product, went on smooth, no odor, no pilling, just product gliding smoothly on skin doing its job, hydrating and plumping away. A +

the best moisturizers for this dry winter season
The winter time has arrived and Christmas is just around the corner. The air is colder and drier… and no help to our skin. Here are a few of the best moisturizers- for night and day- to ensure all-day hydration… all found over-the-counter or at a drugstore! Before we begin our list, here are some benefits as to WHY you should moisturize morning and night, no matter your skin type. Firstly, your skin will become less oily. Dehydrated skin leads to overproduction of oil. If your skin is hydrated, it won’t feel the need to produce more ‘moisture’. Another benefit is plumper and brighter skin, which, of course, contributes to the overall youthful, glowy skin that everyone desires. Dry skin can also lead to itchiness, so moisture is key to prevent irritation. Hydration is also key for a smoother makeup application. The key ingredient in all moisturizers is hyaluronic acid- if you don’t see it listed, don’t bother buying it. Personally I also prefer fragrance-free. Make sure to always use a moisturizer with SPF in the morning, or at least use sunscreen over your moisturizer. CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion This is my all time favorite night cream. I have been using it for years and swear by it. You really can’t go wrong with CeraVe and this cream is everything it claims to be- ultra-lightweight, insanely hydrating, and oil-free. Perfect for acne-prone individuals like myself. Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel MoisturizerI feel like this gel-cream product has gotten a lot of hype recently, and rightfully so! Glycerin and HA are the perfect combo and your skin will drink it up. It’s also non-comedogenic and alcohol-free. VANICREAM - Moisturizing Skin CreamThis cream is recommended for extremely dry and sensitive skin. You’ll also find ceramides in this product, which are found in the phospholipid bilayer cell membrane. Meaning, if you find ceramides listed amongst the ingredients, it will help reinforce the skin’s barrier (ahem, cell membranes). LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30For acne-prone skin, generally oil-free is the way to go. Also known as non-comedogenic, oil-free moisturizers won’t clog your pores. La Roche-Posay has many great products for acne-prone skin, and I use quite a few myself. Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 I wanted to throw in a moisturizer with SPF (one I’m currently using, actually). This moisturizer is oil-free, made with soy extract, and paraben-free. It has SPF 30 and has little tiny sparkles that make your skin glow after application. It also works great under makeup. I hope this list helps, as these are some of my favorites. My top brands for moisturizers are CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, and Cetaphil. Serums are also a great option (REVOLUTION - 2% Hyaluronic Acid Serum). Don’t forget to moisturize those lips too (I use Vaseline - 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, Original every night)! And finally, remember to stay healthy and hydrated during this holiday season. --------------------------------------------- Thank you for giving my post a read! Iam excited to share my thoughts on topics I am passionate about. :) LG, Louisa

💙 Powerful but Gentle Retinol! 💙
Follow my skincare Instagram @skincare_by_reba for more content! 🥰 💙 Let’s talk 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐬! 💙⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭? This is SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum! SR’s site describes it as an “advanced-strength retinoid serum that delivers a 6.5% solution of stabilized retinoid blends and botanical, retinol-alternative extracts into the skin.” See my IG post for the breakdown of the retinoid blend & other key ingredients! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 𝐌𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: I know you’re all probably waiting for me to say I don’t love a SR product, but I’m sorry...𝘐 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘰 🥰 after using a Pixi retinol serum for a couple months and then switching to Luna (see my review in an earlier post!), I finally added this higher percentage of retinol to my routine in September. I think it was a HUGE contributor to the amazing results I saw in just over 2 weeks after switching to an almost entirely SR routine (scroll way back in my feed to see my before/after for that!). Every morning after I use this I wake up to super soft, even-toned skin. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ If you’re new to a higher dose retinoid, try layering a hydrating oil first for a more gentle experience with A+. Start with two nights on, two nights off and build from there. Once your skin has adjusted, you can use A+ nightly (if desired), and I like to layer Luna on top for a bonus dose of retinol goodness! This serum, like all SR products, plays very well with others in the line. I layer A+, Luna, and Good Genes on many nights and have never had an issue! Of course, I have very tolerant skin so make sure you do what works best for 𝘺𝘰𝘶!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞: The price is steep with this one, as it is with a lot of high-quality products. It’s $85/1oz or $122/1.7oz. I just finished up my 1oz bottle that I bought in mid-September, so it lasted me about 3.5 months with usage of 4-5 nights/week. I’ve cut back on that recently as I’m trying to rotate more products into my evening routine (like Vitamin C), and I used a solid 1.5-2 pumps with every use. If you just use 1 pump and less frequently, it’ll last you way longer! I just received my 1.7oz (just in time!) which I bought in the Power of Three kit — great savings that way on 3 serums I use all the time! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩-𝘥𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘭?

Rapid Flash Brightening Serum and SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum My dark spots have lightened, and the pores on my nose are less noticeable. Will be excited to share progress again in another month.

One of the best CHEAP Drugstore Cleansers
#themixedtapewithskincare Follow me on Instagram for more skincare & beauty tips https://www.instagram.com/themixedtapeblogger/ 𝗖𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿 ——————————————— I wish @instagram could increase the max. words. Anyways let’s still make it work, you’ll find half of the review in pictorial form and half written as usual. To read what the product claims and my experience with this product S W I P E👉🏼👉🏼 . I have been using @cetaphilus for more than a year now and by far it’s in my Top drugstore Favs. Let’s break down the products shall we? 🧫The first two ingredients it has which means the ingredients of the highest concentrations are water and glycerin. Which are super mild and suitable for any skin type. They don’t cause irritation at all. 🧫Well we all know what sweetheart glycerin is but lemme still give you the parameter 😉. Glycerin acts as a humectant, which is a substance that allows skin to retain its moisture. Further, it increases skin hydration, relieves dryness and refreshes the skin’s surface. It also acts as an emollient, which means it softens skin. 🧫Next on the list is a math equation(pun intended )PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate which is a surfactant-solubilizing agent, cleansing, emulsifying, and solvent. 🧫Now in short we will understand the role of Butylene Glycol- is a water soluble derivative of petroleum and it has many different roles in skincare formulations. But, does it actually do something for our skin? Well yes it does. It acts as a humectant, which means it binds water and pulls in hydration to the outer layer of the skin. Enhances penetration, which means help product perform more effectively. It can also function as an emollient by creating a barrier on the skin, which prevents water loss and softens and conditions. 🧫Other ingredients are not important for our business today as they are forms of soaps and fillers. However, I’ll explain Masking Fragrance a bit before closing the deal. It simply means that it simply covers up any offensive odors naturally present in the product. Now it doesn’t means that it Is fragrant at all, got it? Will I buy it again? Definitely Worth the price? 💯 Ciao! . #themixedtapeblogger #skincareproducts #skincareguru #skincare #skincarenerds #skincareroutine

5yrs consistent with this 🌸
Garnier micellar makeup remover water is by far of the most elite makeup removers on the market. Let’s talk facts. •the ingredients won’t dry you out , even the most sensitive skin •affordable (large $9, small $4-6) •versatile (I’ve seen some use at toner because there nothing harsh in it ) •no need for hard running •purchased everywhere •no perfumes or fills. This product is so underrated. There are quiet a few versions of there micellar water 5 to be exact!! This is one is made to target anyone looking for a light non oily remover , who have acne prone skin or sensitive skin.

Help! Literally burnt my skin with the acids!
Help! Literally burnt my skin with the acids!
I’m about to start using (should be here Thursday) Dr Dennis Gross - Alpha Beta Ultra Gentle Daily Peel Other people on here recommended that the rest of my routine should be gentle and to use CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30(to make sure I was protecting my skin from new dark spots) And then at night I’ll use the cleanser again CeraVe - Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream How do I get my skin used to all the acids? If I’m being honest the first night I literally burnt my skin next to my right eye 😩 it hurt so bad and I woke up with peeling and a huge red spot. Luckily it didn’t burn the rest of my face but it did hurt. Last night I gave my skin a break and used my Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser Can anyone also recommend an eye cream and lip serum to add to my routine? Any other recommendations to add to my routine are appreciated as we can tell I’m totally new to this, burning my skin and all. 😬🤷🏻‍♀️ Also I’m struggling with hormonal acne!

Layering Skincare Ingredients To Achieve Happy Skin
Layering Skincare Ingredients To Achieve Happy Skin
Layering skincare products is like math for me. I am looking to have A + B + C = happy skin. Which means that one is never enough. You must layer them and try them all, in random orders until you skin thanks you. Or at least that is what I belive. I am a skincare addict. I really love trying out new products that help my combination, aging and blemish-prone skin. So when I found a few products thanks after seeing them on a beauty vlogger’s YouTube page, I said hmm, maybe I will give it a try. So that is what I did. Well, I read a few reviews first and then I opted in to making that big ticket purchase. Now when it comes to picking and choosing skincare products I need to make sure that whatever I use with either solves 2 out of the 3 shallow, but obvious skincare issues (I think) I have. The first issue being that I need to balance the oily and the dry areas on my face and neck. The second well, second and third problem that I have are age spots and hyperpigmentation. For the life of me, I do not know why my skin attracts these hard to get rid of dark spots. It’s really annoying because I know that as soon as I get either a deep scratch, cut, and/or pimple on my face, it is downhill from there. Within 4 days there will be a dark spot and then for 3-4 months I am trying my hardest to use natural remedies to brighten those spots; until I say screw it and go to some trusted over the counter, yet reliable chemicals. A few years ago I worked with an esthetician who re-introducted me to the world of effective but not too harsh products with effective chemical ingredients. In high school I knew nothing of natural oils or actual juice from a leaf to heal my acne spots, all I knew was my mother read about it so she purchased it. They all had some types of chemicals in them and I was using them to quickly fade that mess on my face. For the past 2 months, I’ve been using the Dermalogica “dermalogica - Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash” and the Murad “Murad - Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum” on my face. According to beauty vloggers both products really helped them and of course according to multiple websites, both products have 4 out of 5 star reviews. 4 out of 5 is all I ever need to convince me to make a purchase and give it a try.  My dark spot fading, nightly skinroutine is really simple.  After I feel the effects of either being scratched or a pimple I messed with now needs to heal, I immediately wash my face. Using a nickel size amount of the “Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash, I cleanse my face with warm water and then rinse it with cool water. Next, I towel blot my face with a 100% cotton towel and leave it wet enough so that the serum will really soak in.I then pump out a dime size amount of the serum and evenly massage it on my face but concentrating on the areas prone to scarring and getting blemishes. Done This routine is very good to try at night. While you’re sleeping, the skin is able to do it’s most effective healing. The 2% hydroquinone is a lightening agent in the serum so therefore if you do this while you are sleeping your skin cell’s are getting extra help with the skin cell regenation resulting in a more rapid healing and fading process. Not to mention that the prep you did by washing it with the Dermalogica cleanser, the salicyclic acid removed dirt off the surface and unclogged your pores. This cleanser also contains Tea Tree, Lavender and Camellia Sineneis, which all can calm irritated skin and stop the skin from breaking out any further.  Although this skincare routine can be done in the morning, I believe and found that it was better this way because if you are using the “Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum” during daylight hourse you also have to make sure that you were an SPF 30. The reason being that your skin is being lightening which means that the skin is being bleached which attracts the sun. The sun will be more than likely to burn your skin causing more damage than the good you were trying to achieve. All in all, these 2 of the products really work miracles for my face especially to quickly fade those pesky blemishes.

DRINK FOR YOUR SKIN-Hydrating Natural Skincare💧
DRINK FOR YOUR SKIN-Hydrating Natural Skincare💧
Anokha is a natural skincare brand that is super gentle on the skin. No more extreme drying or irritation of the skin! Their products cater to a variety of skin types. My skin is usually super oily but has been very dry lately because of all of the harsh chemicals I’ve been using for cleansing and to keep my acne at bay. These products have been helping to add moisture much needed back into my skin. ✨Anokha Oatmeal Cleansing Milk - This products smells amazing. As you rub it in it starts to turn white and foamy and I can really feel it working to remove oil and dirt from the surface of my skin. It cleanses without completely stripping my skin of moisture and does not irritate my skin at all like some of those harsh acne face washes. It gently exfoliates And leaves skin feeling soft! ✨ Anokha Jasmine Serum - MY SKIN DRINKS THIS STUFF UP! It is so light and hydrating and it absorbs into my skin instantly. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and has a very clean floral scent. One issue I have with the product is the packaging it is glass so you can’t squeeze the bottle but the hole that the serum comes from is tiny and barely any product comes out. I find myself having to pop the piece, that the product should come out of, off to get the product out. This product is also a bit pricey but it is a real treat for my skin I haven’t found a product that makes my skin feel as smooth. The cleansing milk does claim to even skin tone. I felt like the products worked to cleanse my skin without over drying or irritating and hydrate my skin but it did nothing for my hyperpigmentation.

Only my acne scars are left! 👏🏻😆
I feel like all the extra time spent on this app and the many videos I watched of Hyram finally helped me, along with the products of course. 😩😆 -Thanks for reading me in advance- I am going to start with my regular routine and then I will add the extra products that I use not so often. 🤗 My night and day routine are the same, the only difference is during the day I add the sunscreen so I can be protected. I began with a micellar cleanser Aveeno - Positively Radiant, Micellar Gel Cleanser is so gentle to my skin and I do notice the glow after using it. This gel cleanser has rich soy and kiwi complex that leaves my skin feeling hydrated after using it. I proceed with my Bioré - Witch Hazel Pore Clarifying Cooling Cleanser I know many of you ladies mention that Hazel can be very bad for your skin if you use it very often, but I am feeling the extra salicylic acid that is added to this product very helpful for me. I will soon change this product for another one effective as this one. I apply my moisturizer from cerave is the CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I use the same for day and night lol I find out my skin reacts better to the product when there is no sunscreen added to it. But this product has been helping me to restore my protective skin barrier very well. With the extra ceramides, niacinamide and the Hyaluronic acid this products makes the miracle lol After that I would apply the Clearasil - Rapid Rescue Spot Treatment Cream to any pimples that I feel that are coming out to fight them off and get them OUT! 😂 This benzoyl peroxide acne medication can give you VISIBLE RESULTS IN 4HOURS! And I can promise you that you will ended up with your pimple smaller and the next day dried up. 😳 And then I set everything up with my GARNIER - SkinActive Soothing Facial Mist with Rose Water because hey! Don’t judge me. I feel my products work better if I add my aloe Vera. Yesss I use the aloe vera one. *The extra products that I use not so often are The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I use this one 3 times every week. This has been the game changer to my skin care routine. My blemishes and my dark spots has been minimize because of this guy. CeraVe - Skin Renewing Retinol Cream Serum I use this 3 times a week as well. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 this product hydrates my face after using the peeling solution. 🥰 And finally my sunscreen CeraVe - Hydrating Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50 be careful it leaves a white face lol. 😳 Thanks for reading me. 🥰❤️ If you know any good product to avoid breakouts let me know! 😃😆
