one of my favorite pallettes
one of my favorite pallettes
I picked up one of my favorite eye shadow pallettes at Marshall's for probably around $17-$19, the deets are a little hazy because it was late summer/early fall. But I use this pallette at least twice a week because it offers so many options. I just love it! There isn't a lot of fall out and the shadows go on nicely. In the picture I am wearing cream, dusty rose, and wisteria. LORAC - Mega Pro Palette great pallette, versatile colors that go on smooth and vibrantly. love it!!

Cherie gifted me! Dermatology Panel...
Cherie gifted me! Dermatology Panel...
I participated in the Cherie Dermatology Panel back in January (on the 19th to be exact) with @skindocmina and @Culskinand other Cherie participants and learned such helpful information from serums to sunscreen (prefer physical) and that you might want to splurge on your Vitamin C product. As a participant, I was sent some goodies in the mail today that I am looking forward to trying out. The first product is the Youth to the People Kale + Peptide 5 Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid Superfood and Brighten Serum. The box says "this high performance elixer contains a potent youth complex of peptides, age defying antioxidants, illuminating vitamin C, and hydrating cross-linked hyaluronic acid. Say hi to brighter, plumper skin." The instructions say to use 1-2 times per day after cleansing "put 1-2 pumps into palm and rub hands together. Apply to dry or slightly moist face and neck." The box says that the product is made of vegan ingredients, cold pressed extracts and made in the USA and free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, pegs, mineral oil, silicones, synthetic dyes, and animal testing. The next item gifted was the sample size Alastin Skincare Restorative Skin Complex with Tri-Hex Technology. I had to go to the website for more information on this product. It "helps maintain skin health for a vibrant, youthful appearance. Hydrating formulation with key ingredients to help volumize and lift aging skin. Synergistic ingredients help to combat all visible signs of aging. Improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, helps restore volume to thinning skin. Works with the skin to clear out damaged elastin and collagen. Supports production of new elastin and collagen. Helps improve skin elasticity. Potent antioxidants help protect the skin from further damage. Helps even skin tone. Paraben-free, creuelty-free, and gluten-free." The instructions are to apply after use of gentle cleanser in am and pm. I have some products that I need to use before I try these but I'm excited to have them ready to go when I need them! Thanks @cheriethe dermatology Panel was great and the products are appreciated 🤗

Wellness Wednesday: DIY Body Wash
Wellness Wednesday: DIY Body Wash
Happy Wellness Wednesday everybody! Tonight, I bring to you a DIY recipe found on Pinterest from mommypottamus.com. It's a Homemade Body Wash Recipe. INGREDIENTS: 1/3 Cup liquid Castile soap (my Castile soap is lavender scent, you can purchase it unscented or peppermint; if you purchase unscented you can add essential oils to give it a special scent that appeals to you) 1/3 Cup honey, preferably raw (I used raw honey) 1/3 Cup carrier oil such as olive, jojoba, refined avacado, fractionated coconut oil, or sweet almond oil (I used sweet almond oil). 30-60 drops essential oil, optional (I added about 15 extra drops of lavender oil). *Don't forget the wash also has the honey scent as well! The author recommended the having a blender or a mixing bowl for the recipe. I skipped that step all together and opted for a 7.48 oz. squeeze top bottle from Hobby Lobby's soap section and dumped all of my ingredients in there and then shook the bottle up to thoroughly mix them together. INSTRUCTIONS: 1- Add all ingredients to a bowl (or your squeeze bottle if you want to save a step) and mix until thoroughly combined. Or place in a blender and blend thoroughly (*this just seems like you would be dirtying up your blender for no good reason to me). 2- Pour into a squeeze top or pump top soap dispenser. TO USE: 1- Shake well before using. This recipe will separate after a while but all you need to do is shake a few times. 2- Add body wash to a soft natural sponge, loofah sponge, or washcloth and use like you would any body wash. NOTES: Shelf life- up to one year. COST: Honey- $4 Sweet Almond Oil- $14 Castile Soap- $16 Lavender Essential Oil- $5 Total- $39 *Remember, most of these ingredients are things I generally have at my home already. The only ingredient I bought specifically for this recipe was the Sweet Almond Oil which I will make sure to use for other Wellness Wednesday recipes in the future. My experience...I used the body wash this morning when I showered. The smell was pleasant, I could really smell the lavender scent with the undertones of sweet honey. The body wash was NOT sticky which I guess sort of surprised me because honey by itself is incredibly sticky but mixed with the sweet almond oil and Castile soap it was very soft and smooth. The body wash lathered up nicely. My skin looked moisturized and felt soft when I patted my skin dry after stepping out of the shower. Overall I'd give this Homemade Body Wash ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I am totally happy with my Wellness Wednesday experience this week and would encourage anyone to invest their te in making the recipe if they have the ingredients handy. I hope you get a chance to do something for you this week! Take a little time out to pamper yourself and treat yourself for a job well done on being perfectly imperfect! Stay well and happy, Christy

I Won This From Cherie!!
I Won This From Cherie!!
I posted during the Skin Positivity promotion and didn't think about my post again until I was alerted by sweet and thoughtful @nay.Diarythat I won for my post!! what!?!? I feel so lucky!! And...I received my Heraux Molecular Anti-Inflammaging Serum today. The last paragraph in the press release says about the Heraux Molecular Anti-Inflammaging Serum: "With 18 patients worldwide, this molecular face serum features HX-1, a proprietary anti- inflammaging biometric lipid that shields skin cells from the effects that fuel aging. This serum, used twice daily, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, increases smoothness, reduces hyperpigmentation and improves uneven skin tone, increases skin firmness, exfoliates to increase radiance and improves skin moisture retention. The addition of Hyaluronic Acid hydrates and plumps skin, resulting in a more supple complexion and Peptides reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin C + E and Red Maple Bark Extract provide antioxidant support, protecting the skin from environmental aggressors and promote a brighter, more even skin tone. Each application leaves the skin feeling cool, smooth and hydrated with a subtle citrus scent derived from all natural fruit extracts. In an 8 week clinical trial with twice daily application and clinical grading done by an independent board-certified dermatologist, HX-1 showed an up to 85% decrease in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkle depth with statistically significant improvement confirmed by advanced imaging technology." It's me again!! I will say, I did use it for the first time tonight they weren't kidding, my face felt cooler after using the serum and there is a light citrus scent, I would lean on the lemon side, very nice....also, my face feels super soft. Just a lovely experience. Thanks for reading and watching the video!

Homemade Natural Eyebrow Filler
Homemade Natural Eyebrow Filler
In some of my searches for Wellness Wednesday ideas, I came across some other interesting things to try. Among them, this Homemade Natural Eyebrow Filler. I found this Recipe on Pinterest by Ablossominglife.com. Ingredients 1 1/2 teaspoons almond oil or castor oil. 2 1/2 teaspoons cocoa powder 1 teaspoon cornstarch activated charcoal for to color the filler to match your brows. Instructions 1. Mix ingredients together in a small bowl or jar. Using a small, thin brush, test color on your hand. Depending on the color of your brows and skin, you will most likely have to adjust the recipe. For darker brows, use more activated charcoal. I did not use any activated charcoal in my recipe at all. Notes To use: Dip a small thin applicator brush into your homemade eyebrow filler and place the brush on the back of your hand to remove excess. Apply to eyebrows gently. Apply very little, then apply more from the filler remaining on the back of your hand. Occasionally stir eyebrow filler to ensure consistent color. I had fun making this eyebrow filler and I really just tried it because it seemed easy. I had everything except the activated charcoal which I ordered from Amazon for about $6 and ended up not using...I will find another way to use it though, no worries there. Things I like about the homemade eyebrow filler: 1) I do like the idea of using a product on my face that I have made and has WAY less chemicals in it than something store bought. 2) It has castor oil in it which I originally bought to put on my lashes and brows at night to promote growth, so bonus for being able to use on my brows during the day! 3) It was cheap to make and will last for a long time. All that being said, I will not use this filler exclusively, I will continue to use my eyebrow pencils that I bought from the store as well. COST of recipe: Activated Charcoal- $6 Cocoa Powder- $3 Castor Oil- $9 Cornstarch- $2 Total Cost- $20* *remember these are all items I already had at my house with the exception of the activated charcoal which I plan to find another way to use.

new red lippy
new red lippy
Never thought in a million years I'd be caught dead sporting a red lippy but yeah, I went to Walmart and found one on clearance and picked it up and bought it and brought it home to try. I actually liked it! Imagine me wearing a matte Retro Red, but there I am not so odd after all 💋 so next time you see that color that you are or have been curious about on sale, pick it up just for the fun of it and bring it home and give it a try, it just may work for you. Or, if nothing else, it may give you a good laugh and you'll say, nope, I was right about that one, not for me now...maybe 10 years ago or 10 years from now, ha! But at least you tried! Thanks for humoring me and my red lipstick 💄 and here's to hoping you get adventurous and get out there to find your green eyeliner, or electric blue eyeshadow, or eggplant purple lipstick, or vampire red nail polish, whatever it may be, go find it and get it! Make that your weekend quest and come back to this post to tell me what you picked up! a great memory? great makeup? or both? I hope both, even if I don't hear back from you. Hope you all enjoy the beginning of your weekend, you all deserve it. 🤗😘🥰😍❤️💋💄🍒 HARD CANDY - Nourishing Lip Crayon really like this product. it goes on matte. true to it's name, it's shaped like a crayon and applies the product on your lip very nicely. was able to wear this color most of the day without reapplying.

BEAUTREE exfoliating pads
BEAUTREE exfoliating pads
You can purchase these amazing exfoliating pads on Amazon . The concept is cool . These pads come dry , you add water to them , then you do multiple swipes across your face . You can feel it bubbles froth up as you’re using the pad . Then you rinse iit off . I do it all in one step as I’m hunched over the sink with my eyes closed the entire time . When you rinse and look up your face is super bright . These are fantastic for traveling since they come dry .

Perfect Skincare Pick Me Up 🧡
Perfect Skincare Pick Me Up 🧡
Morning, night & in between - Drunk Elephant’s E-Rase Milki always has my back; or face I should say! Since Milki has come into my life, I stopped washing my face with traditional cleansers in the morning. Why, you may ask? I double cleanse at night, so for my skin, I feel like it’s overkill and cleansing in the AM often left my skin feeling more dry. So instead, I put a little bit of E-Rase Milki onto a cotton round and not only does it remove any dirt or grime from overnight, but it also leaves my skin feeling clean without that squeaky clean, tight feeling. The nourishing ingredients in Milki keep my skin feeling soft & hydrated instead. E-Rase Milki is also a great skin pick me up for post workouts; or whenever, wherever really! When I remove makeup at night, I find that E-Rase Milki does an excellent job with effortlessly removing the toughest of eye makeup. I hold a saturated cotton round over my eye for a few seconds, gently swipe & it gently pulls and removes every bit of eye makeup - leaving no trace behind! 🧡 How do you incorporate Milki into your routine?! ☺️ DRUNK ELEPHANT - E-Rase Milki Micellar Water

Babyfacial Not Your Fave? Try This New Peel!
Babyfacial Not Your Fave? Try This New Peel!
Whether it be because of the brand, the potency, or the texture, some folks just don’t love Drunk Elephant Babyfacial. But some substitutes leave a lot to be desired- either they’re irritating, or too simple, or the texture makes everything a mess. Insert PAULA'S CHOICE - 25% AHA + 2% BHA Exfoliant Peel : a fantastically well-formulated substitute for the cult fave facial. I’m a huge DE fan, but I have to admit, I reach far more for PC’s shimmery purple goo! • Compare/Contrast: Like DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask , the Paula’s Choice peel contains a 25% AHA cocktail alongside 2% BHA, both formulated at a low pH (PC: 3.5-3.9, Babyfacial: 3.5-3.6) so that the acids can function optimally. PC incorporates 8.4% glycolic acid, 7.1% lactic acid, 5% mandelic acid, 2.5% malic acid, 2% tartaric acid, 2% salicylic acid, a variety of humectants and emollients, plus antioxidants and skin-soothing ingredients like licorice root extract, bisabolol, and allantoin. DE doesn’t specify the quantities of acids in it, but considering the position of the acids in the INCI list, glycolic acid is the most present, with lactic acid and citric acid below the 2% salicylic acid. They also include humectants, emollients (like marula oil), antioxidants, as well as soothing aloe, prickly pear extract, green tea leaf extract, allantoin, and licorice root extract. I didn’t find any literature that supported the exfoliating claims of the included pumpkin enzyme so 🤷🏽‍♀️ But still, both tout great ingredient lists! • Thoughts: Both products deliver on promises of a deep exfoliating treatment that leaves skin soft and smooth, as well as visibly evened skin tone and a more luminous complexion. But I find Babyfacial is too abrasive to use more than 1-2 times per month for me... the high glycolic acid content makes it incredibly potent -think med spa peels- but something more suitable to skin that tolerates strong exfoliants, and mature skin that benefits from stimulated fibroblasts for collagen production. Paula’s Choice’s Peel is a more solid try for sensitive skin and exfoliant newbies- the cocktail of multiple acids make for a more gentle peel, especially since citric acid (which PC forgoes but DE includes) can be a bit sensitizing. I didn’t experience any tingling whatsoever with this shimmery purple mask and used it twice in one month without issue, making me think it’d be a good weekly peel for most folks! Is it a Dupe? I don’t believe in dupes unless the formulas are identical. PC’s new peel is a great substitute for Babyfacial or the Ordinary’s Vampire Peel, being far more gentle and an overall better experience, in my opinion.

Fine hair WIN ⚡️
Fine hair WIN ⚡️
#sexyhairgiftedme ❤️ Hair. Hair means so many things to so many people. Throughout history, different cultures used hair to signify wealth and status. Some cultures even have spiritual beliefs when it comes to hair and certain styles. It’s a incredibly interesting topic to research and what it all boils down to, hair is important. Growing up, I always wanted super long blonde hair because that’s what we are old is “beautiful.” So I have put my hair through a LOT. The past couple years, I’ve lost probably 60% of my hair due to health problems. It was and still is something that I struggle with. So when I see a product that helps hair look thicker and gives volume, I AM THERE ! 😍 I’ve never used a product like this Sexy Hair Artistry Pro Textile Spray before and I absolutely love it!! You use this on dry hair and the best thing about it is, IT IS NOT GROSS FEELING OR STIFF!! It just feels like thicker hair. I have minimal hair at the top of my head and for once it looked so much thicker but still moves and feels like regular hair! 😍 This spray is infused with amino acids and I feel like my hair is feeling thicker and healthier with repeated use and that’s not the case with products normally! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me!! Thin hair girls rejoice!!
