1. skinceuticals phyto corrective SKINCEUTICALS - Phyto Corrective Gel Hydrating Botanical Gel
My face has been unusually flushed over the past 6 months—to the point where coworkers would ask if I'd just worked out vigorously or was feeling warm. It's most noticeable on my cheeks, but also affects my forehead and nostril area. After using this serum 2x daily over the past month, I've noticed my discoloration HAS faded, especially on my cheeks and forhead. I still have some redn splotches on my cheeks, but I imagine that will continue to improve the longer I use this. 2. skinceuticals blemish+ age defense SKINCEUTICALS - Blemish + Age Defense
This one contains 2% Dioic acid: reduces sebum production, fights acne-causing bacteria, and reduces post-inflammatory discolouration. 0.3% Capryloyl salicylic acid: provides precise and even cell-by-cell exfoliation to decongest clogged pores. By using these two together, they have helped to refine my complexion and reduce breakouts. Initially it made my oily skin a bit dry around the mouth but that subsided after about a week. I use it twice per day before my other serums. I suffer from frequent breakouts, mostly on my cheeks and jawline, and have been using them as a treatment on those trouble areas. If I use these two during the day, I find that by night time the breakouts have been significantly reduced and my skin is left glowing and smooth and if I use it at night before bed, I wake up with next to nothing in terms of angry breakouts. I'm so happy with these two products and will definitely repurchase!

✅✅Worth repurchasing!Ideal serum for the acne skin!
When I think about the different products I’ve tried over the past year or so, this one stands out as a clear favorite.  This was one of the first products in a long time that grabbed my attention and made me not want to do any other routine that didn’t include this. It is that good for the acne skin. I think this product doesn’t market itself very well because when I saw the bottle label I thought this was a salicylic acid treatment since that was what was so prominent on the package. Basically I thought it was a spot treatment and I wasn’t too interested in it because I usually like to have at least 2% salicylic acid as a spot treatment (and this has 1.5%). But I am really glad I took a closer look at the ingredients and really gave this a try because it is one of my favorite products I’ve tried. And for what its worth, I have never once used it as a spot treatment. What does it do? As the name suggests, it is for someone that cares about reducing fine lines and wrinkles as well as preventing blemishes. It is also designed to inhibit excess sebum production (which was key for someone like me that always finds themselves a bit too shiny by midday) and minimize hyperpigmentation. In a nutshell, it exfoliates skin, decongests pores and refines the skin’s surface. Where I have seen the biggest improvement is in texture on my skin and the regulation of sebum.  At the end of this post I will go into detail about some empirical research that compared this product to a prescription acne medication and a prescription retinol. Briefly, here are some of the findings. Something to note is that, except for the reduction of pustules which showed improvements by week 1, all other findings took at least 4 weeks with the most effects by week 8.  I will add that I saw some clearing up of my skin after a week or so, but I really didn’t see any major results until around week 4 or 5 (and I was using it almost daily). Evidence suggests that Blemish + Age Defense has been effective at: Reducing sebum production Improving fine lines Reducing pustules and papules Reducing acne lesions Improving skin tone (clarity) Improving dullness, blotchiness Improving skin roughness How did I use it? When I started using this, I stopped using all other acids and retinol because I was a little concerned that using this plus other potent actives would be too much for my skin. I used it morning and night for about 2 weeks and would apply a couple drops to my entire face after cleansing. And then I followed it up with a hydrating and nourishing routine. After 2 weeks I dropped down to just using this at night and I would sometimes use a BHA toner in the morning (although I found that I didn’t really need it). I was really shocked at how great my skin looked. The texture on my forehead cleared up and I felt less oily, my skin felt smooth and had a more even tone.  I started to rotate this with retinol (using this on the nights that I didn’t use a retinol) and my skin responded nicely.  I personally never felt like it dried me out or sensitized me but I was very cautious to always ensure my routines added back in a lot of moisture. After using it for 6 weeks I started to drop down to only using this once or twice a week and that has been working perfectly until I just ran out of my bottle. Who should use it? People that are concerned with both signs of aging, acne and blemishes/ skin texture. People with dry skin or with allergies to alcohol denat will want to avoid this.

Quick lil skin update
Phew my skin has calmed down so much since the last time I posted 10 days ago. I cannot even explain how bad purging was for me. I realized I had so much gunk clogged in my pores it was insane! My skin is finally calming down and getting smoother. Not completely, still have hyperpigmentation and some small comedones but I feel like I’m finally over the worst part🤞🏽😅 My current skin care routine definitely feels less harsh than what I was using in the beginning and is as follows: AM Routine: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser Gentle on my skin in the morning, not stripping or drying but kinda pricey I feel like you could find a similar, cheaper option SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C and Turmeric Face OilJust started using this for the past week so I can’t tell if it’s doing anything yet but it’s fast absorbing AND it’s THD Ascorbate (as opposed to Ascorbic Acid) meaning it’s more stable, can be mixed with niacinamide and other higher pH ingredients AND has a longer shelf-life The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HAAlso just started using this so not sure if it’s doing anything CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin A+, love to death elta md SKINCARE - UV Daily Broad-Spectrum SPF 40 Another ride or die🤞🏽 PM Routine: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Antioxidant Cleansing Oil I’ve learned that I love cleansing OILS as opposed to balms but there are cheaper options out there ☺️ CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin Started using this again at night and so glad I did! It really feels like it’s cleaning and getting into my pores 🧼 (key: after washing my face for a minute I let the wash sit for another minute or 2 to let the SA really sink in) SKINCEUTICALS - Blemish + Age Defense MY HOLY GRAIL. Has really transformed my skin in the past 2 weeks, definitely recommend if you’ve got the budget cause this bad boy sits at $92 PURITO - Centella Green Level Calming Toner I apply this thick calming toner 15 minutes after letting my skinceuticals absorb in my skin and it’s so calming love it ACURE - Radically Rejuvenating Eye Cream Love this thick eye cream especially when I put it in my skin care fridge, not sure if it does more than moisturize though THE inkey LIST - Ceramide Night Treatment Nice consistency, not too heavy or light, but not sure if it does anything yet The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane 2 drops at night to seal everything in, has my skin waking up glowy and non irritated ✨

THE BEST PRODUCT FOR DARK SPOTS
SKINCEUTICALS - Phyto Corrective Gel Hydrating Botanical Gel What is it? A cooling gel serum for sensitized skin. Water-based or oil-based? Water-based. Which skin type? All skin types. Perfect for sensitized or overstimulated skin. Key ingredients: Botanical ingredients to soothe inflammation: olive, thyme, cucumber Ingredients list ( Numbers represent a position on list) Main List Water Glycerine (humectant) Propylene Glycol (humectant) Emulsifier Preservative Preservative Ingredients under 1% 7: Sodium Hyaluronate (humectant) 11: Fragrance 15: Cucumber extract (anti-inflammatory) 16: Fragrance 18: Thyme: irritant 19: Eucalyptus (essential oil) 23: Linalool (irritant) Skin-identical ingredients: Glycerin (humectant) Sodium Hyaluronate (humectant). Suitable for acne-prone skin? Ideal light moisturizer for oily/acne-prone skin. I didn’t break out! Irritants? Thyme extract Fragrance (benzyl benzoate) Linalool Does it smell? Vaguely herbal. How does it feel? Absorption Rate? Light texture that absorbs quickly. How does it fit into your routine? Use before day or night cream. Pros & Cons Pros: Effective calming serum. Alcohol-Free. Cons: Morus Alba root extract (to brighten the skin) is the last ingredient. Irritants are low down the ingredients list, but why are they included at all in serum for a sensitized skin? My experience of Skinceuticals Phyto Corrective Gel I was looking for a light moisturizer to repair my pores, battered skin barrier after stupidly over-exfoliating. As a beauty therapist, I should have known better. I was so upset when I experienced adult acne because I had been acne-free for almost a decade. Out of sheer frustration, I went a little crazy with the acid toners, and my skin was now suffering: red, angry, and even more spots. This lovely calming gel serum (it might not be hydrating enough for everyone) calmed down my redness straight away. It has a lovely light, cooling texture. Although my skin is prone to dehydration because of tretinoin, this sank in quickly and hydrated my skin without blocking my pores. I only needed a small amount. What surprised me most is that it reduces my dark spots SO DRAMATICALLY. THE BEST PRODUCT FOR DARK SPOTS I've ever tried.

Acne Scars? Hyperpigmentation? Maybe you can have a look at this...
Most of the money I spent on skincare is actually not on solving acne problems because for people like me who have a lot of pimples, post-treatment is the most important because the acne scars and the pigmentation will stay there for a really long time if you don’t do anything. It is really hard to remove them all in a short period of time but there are some good products in the market that can help to make them disappear faster. SKINCEUTICALS - Phyto Corrective Gel Hydrating Botanical Gel This gel from Skinceuticals is so famous and I also have used it for a long time. This is my third bottle actually. It has a green apple colour and a very light herbal scent, and the texture is quite sticky just like glue. I don’t see how my redness goes in a few weeks but after two bottles most of the new acne scars are away and the dark spots become paler. It works well for me but the price is a little bit high to afford. There are actually not many choices in the market to solve this problem. Since the brand is really famous and this product is very effective for me I will still use it until I see a better and cheaper dupe. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo (+) I usually use this gel with a toner and a cream in a regular routine but this La Roche-Posay DUO+ can be used alone as a light moisturiser and is another product I love. It addressed not only my acne problem but also dark spots on my face. It has a very classic La Roche-Posay fragrance and is a super light lotion. When I have some spots coming out, I prefer to use this alone because this one is enough for both issues and it is super cheap and can be bought in nearly all pharmacies.  For the first few days it worked very well on my face since it has niacinamide in there to fight the hyperpigmentation but I don’t find it that useful to fight the dark spots in the recently days, maybe it is because my acne scars and the inflammation has been there for a long time and I need to take time to solve it. But overall these two products are amazing and the brands are very famous and trustworthy to rely on and I do recommend you to try on these if you haven’t.

SKINCEUTICALS
SKINCEUTICALS - Blemish + Age Defense SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense combines 2% dioic acid with an optimal alpha and beta hydroxy acid formulation designed to prevent the formation of acne, minimize hyperpigmentation and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. A targeted, oil-free approach to treat adult acne and signs of aging. This is one of those things you want on your vanity shelf. You have no control when you’re gonna break out. Whether it be stress, hormones, sugar intake... clogged pore... whatever. You already know the variables by now. But if you’re breaking out and you know you have an event coming up... this stuff helps. I spot treat as needed. But when I need to address something... apply morning and night... maybe even midday if I really need it handled... it’ll be taken care of real quick. I’m normally a popper. Because I can’t handle knowing there’s something that needs to come out. But this works so well... I can let it go... knowing I’m not doing any damage to my skin and that this will clear it better than I could do. Swear.

I Finally Found The Best Solution to Acne Scars!
I Finally Found The Best Solution to Acne Scars!
Are you struggling with your acne scars? I heard this is the best combination to get rid of acne scars. So I bought it. 😉 One of them is light yellow, the other one is light brown. It feels a little bit sticky after being absorbed. Phloretin CF has a stronger smell, a little bit like herbs.  After using this combination, my acne scars look lighter. My face is smooth the following day, and my skin looks cleaner.  I recommend this combination to anyone with acne scars, especially if your acne scars are small in amount and pretty light.

✨ACNE SERUM✨Dot & Key Skin Clarifying FaceSerum
✨ACNE SERUM✨Dot & Key Skin Clarifying FaceSerum
The function of the Skin Clarifying Face Serum is to help treat acne and to prevent future breakouts by gently exfoliating and purifying pores. It has some great skin clarifying ingredients like willow bark, tea tree, and salicylic acid. The texture was much thicker than I expected but still felt lightweight. They also absorb easily when patted into my skin. I used it for about 2 weeks for some hormonal acne that I wanted to treat. It did a great job at speeding up the recovery time for my acne. I like the product because it works. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the strong fragrance. I love the chubby bottle size and the dropper is easy to use. I would recommend this acne serum if you are not sensitive to fragrance. I think it worth $19.90. I would rate this product 4/5 stars.

⚡You CAN'T miss it if you have acne scars!⚡
⚡You CAN'T miss it if you have acne scars!⚡
After using up two bottles of SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Gel in over two months, my skin problems have finally improved! My conclusion: It helps to lighten acne scars, improves skin damage, and soothes skin flushing. It's very suitable for oily, acne-prone skin and sensitive skin. I have oily, acne-prone skin and suffer from constant acne breakouts. My skin also flushes and small bumps develop during the change of seasons. I've been searching for products that can lighten acne marks. Finally, I found it! SKINCEUTICALS - Phyto Corrective Gel Hydrating Botanical Gel The light green liquid looks weird but its very lightweight, is absorbed easily, and smells like fresh cucumber. When I first started using it, I felt my skin becoming more elastic and its moisturizing and soothing effect was more obvious than its effect of lightening acne marks. I use it once every morning and evening, 4 to 6 drops each time, applying it on my skin and massaging it into my face for a minute or two. As for the lightening of acne marks, the average skin cycle is 28 days and I only observed the lightening of acne marks after using up the first bottle. Now I'm on my second bottle and the results are even more remarkable. My skin tone is now more even and whitened, and my acne marks are no longer obvious. A basic foundation can pretty much cover them up. I am sooooooooo pleased with the babe and would 10/10 recommend it to those working to get rid of acne scars! Have you ever tried it? Share your stories! 😊😊😊

PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I love this product so much. It is definitely holy grail status for me. I go through this like water. I have dry/acne prone skin and this helps even my texture as well as get rid of those pesky pimples. All without drying my skin out! I never want to be without this product! 💚😍 PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster I really enjoyed this niacinamide booster. The consistency is nice and light, it almost feels like water. Which makes it absorb into the skin quickly. I loved the way it felt and how it was helping lighten my pigmentation, BUT I feel like it is so overpriced. Especially considering, you don’t even get a full ounce of product. If it were more in the twenty dollar price range, I would have repurchased! 🤷🏼‍♀️

INGREDIENT SPOTLIGHT: Niacinamide
INGREDIENT SPOTLIGHT: Niacinamide
I’m sure everyone these days have heard about the benefits of niacinamide ☺️ this big word is a key ingredient in many products that boast big promises for your skin, but what does it actually do? Well let’s break it down... Niacinamide is a great ingredient because it is beneficial to basically any skin type 😲 Yes you read that right... EVERY SKIN TYPE! Due to the ingredient being a relatively low irritating active, it can be used to treat a large range of skincare needs 😍 Niacinamide can help with skincare concerns like: acne pores hyperpigmentation dehydration redness aging Sounds promising right? Let’s hear more 🥰 Niacinamide can be used to: minimise fine lines and wrinkles increase ceramide production minimise pore appearance treat redness with anti-inflammatory properties boost collagen production by repairing the skin barrier and increasing free fatty acid levels in the stratum corneum (top layer of the skin) treat hyperpigmentation and melasma by inhibiting melanin production regulate sebum production and improve oily/acne prone skin increase skin’s tolerance for retinoids ease symptoms of eczema With these amazing skin benefits, it’s clear to see why niacinamide has become a reputable ingredient in skincare. 😍😍😍 Here are some product recommendations that incorporate niacinamide: ❤️ The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% This is one of the best niacinamide serums on the market and considering the price point, it’s always sold out. You can see a noticeable difference in your skin after just one month of using this product. However, this serum does have a tacky finish that some people aren’t fond of. ❤️PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster This booster is great for beginners who are looking to introduce niacinamide to their skincare routine. To make sure your skin gets use to the ingredient, add this booster to your favourite moisturiser to supercharge it’s effects before gradually increasing the percentage of niacinamide in your skincare. ❤️PAULA'S CHOICE - Niacinamide 20% Treatment This higher percentage treatment should only be used by those who have incorporated niacinamide in their skincare for a period of time. Due to the high percentage, it may irritate skin that has not been introduced to niacinamide before. This treatment is great for spot treating particular skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation. Hope you’ve learnt a little bit more about the ingredient niacinamide and let me know if you’ve integrated it into your skincare routine!!
