THIS OR THAT: CPB vs CHANTECAILLE
One thing should mention is that both of them are makeup premier, not foundation, so don’t expect what a perfect foundation should do on them! 1. CPB correcting cream veil. SPF 25 A rich, creamy, moisturizing makeup base that instantly smoothes roughness while visibly transforming your skin's texture. I have an oily t zone and makeup slides off me halfway through the day. This little miracle not on,y keeps my makeup on but actually somehow makes it look even better. I like that it adds a bit of spf. It feels light and seems to help my makeup stay in place. 2.CHANTECAILLE anti-smog tinted moisturizer SPF 15 I use this in Alabaster and it is perfect match for my redhead skin I’ve ever found. I don’t use foundation except on my rosacea areas and the finish is so natural you can’t tell the difference between the areas of my face without coverage. Blends best with a beauty blender. My only problem with this foundation has been the chemical sunscreen so I was thrilled to see it had gone all mineral. The finish is even better I think. Coverage seems a touch higher without any loss in the texture. My cheeks are prone to inflammation and flaking and this doesn’t emphasize it. I do use a mineral primer but even with that some brands still highlight flakes. This one doesn’t. A direct comparison: concealing power (for the pore) CHANTECAILLE:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ CPB:⭐️⭐️⭐️ skin tone correction: CHANTECAILLE:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ CPB:⭐️⭐️⭐️ natural look: CHANTECAILLE:⭐️⭐️⭐️ CPB:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ long lasting : both ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Combination dry skin with acne. KOREAN AND JAPANESE BRANDS VS EUROPEAN AND US PRODUCTS These four face primers have a big gap on price. I have used them for a long period. Each of them has different functions and performance. I cannot wait to share with you! 1. CPB SPF 20++ clé de peau BEAUTÉ - Correcting Cream Veil SPF 21 The newest try one among these four, but I have been applying it for one month. Special for dry and desert skin. Texture: creamy white with hydrated feeling. If you are oil skin, try to avoid it. You will feel too oily to spread the primer evenly. Price: $80 Advantage: moisturizing and pigmentation. It can help me to brighten my skin tone. Disadvantage: low SPF and poor fluidity. 2. LANEIGE SPF22++ LANEIGE - Skin Veil Base SPF25 PA++ Two type can be chosen. One is green for improving the problems of skin sensitivity and redness. I prefer purple one. This series is applicable for dull and shallow skin. However! This one is the worst among these four! DO NOT BUY IT! Texture: not very thick but not moisturizing. After applying, my skin tone is looked like not natural. You have to do a great job on previous moisturizing work. I don’t like it. Price: $20 Advantage: cheap Disadvantage: cannot keep the moisture of skin and I got new acne on my chin due to this primer. 3. CHANTECAILLE SPF 45 PA+++ CHANTECAILLE - Ultra Sun Protection Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Primer Shake the tube before using it to mix all ingredients together. Texture: it makes us feel oil when squeeze them out. However, this product is oil-free formula. No color and no fragrance. It can form 1-2mm protective film on my skin from my observation. Price:$95 Advantage: dry skin will love it! Disadvantage: high price and low cost performance. I can run out of one by six months. 4. MAC MAC - Strobe Cream I have introduced this product for many times. I love it because it’s multi-functional primer which gives me the brightening and smoothest appearance. The using method is different from previous three. I always mix them with my foundation. The effect is much more amazing and natural than using alone. Price:$35 Advantage: very durable. Mix with foundation can create more surprise. Disadvantage: sheer primer texture. Many people don’t like it. Conclude, the face primer ranking is CPB,CHANTECAILLE, MAC, LANEIGE.
How to get flawless base makeup in summer!!
What you’ll need: a foundation brush, a primer that is light and easy to blend, a high-coverage foundation and an oil control setting powder My pursuit for the base makeup: as I have an oily-combo skin type, I would like my base makeup to be long lasting and not easily ruined by the oil and sweat that I will inevitable have on my face during the day. Besides, I would especially suffer from acne in the hot humid summer, so it would also be better if my acnes could get perfectly covered. What I’ve used and my thoughts: ·smashbox - Studio Skin Full Coverage 24 Hour Waterproof Foundation I love how this product provides full coverage and it could last a whole day, sometimes when I wear this foundation, as long as I moisturize well and set the foundation well, it still stays on place and give me an intact look after 9-10 hours. But the only problem with this foundation is that it tends to get dry quickly and it could be hard to blend. ·clé de peau BEAUTÉ - Correcting Cream Veil SPF 21 My go-to foundation when I pursue a natural and clean look. But these days it is not long-lasting enough and it could only provide light-to-medium coverage. So on important occasions, this alone is not enough. ·KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - Lock-It Finishing Powder This is my holy grail setting powder, only that the cushion that comes with it is not good enough. So I’ve changed it with something else I bought from CVS. You could also just use your brush or sponge to apply this powder on your face. It just blurs out every single shine resulting from oil on one touch. And I always carry it with me in summer to save my from being too shiny… Steps to follow: 1. Moisturize well before you apply any foundation products. This is always a must for any base makeup to look good and last long. 2. Blend the primer and the foundation in the ratio of 1:1 on hand. 3. Use the brush to dip the mixture and apply them on your face. You could also opt for a beauty blender if you are in want of a more natural look 4. Use the setting powder to set your foundation carefully and thoroughly. And voila, here is a base makeup that provides high coverage and lasts long.

Base makeup products: Chantecaille & YSL
I bought these two recently. They are quite famous for a long time. So here are my thoughts. Chantecaille Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15CHANTECAILLE - Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 It provides SPF 15 protection and creates a natural look. It's really moisturizing and nourishing, with a great touch-up effect. It minimizes the appearance of my pores and only a little amount is needed. However, it only has sheer coverage, so it's more suitable for those with fewer blemishes. YSL Top Secrets Instant Moisture Glow YVES SAINT LAURENT - Top Secrets Instant Moisture Glow It features great moisturizing, anti-wrinkle, and pore refining effects and brightens skin complexion. This primer is especially suitable for dry skin and people whose makeup cakes easily. However, it doesn't provide UV protection so it can only be used as a primer. Both of these products are great but pricey💸 and are always out of stock.
Clarins VS. Chantecaille, guess who wins?!
CHANTECAILLE - Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 has a thick consistency and provides light-medium coverage with a fresh skin-like (hence the name!) finish. It's quite natural, just like the second skin. But if you want to cover some flaws on your face or improve your complexion, it's NOT a good option. CLARINS - UV PLUS Anti-Pollution Sunscreen Multi-Protection Tint SPF 50is super glowy and helps make your skin lighter. Clarins has a creamy texture so it spreads and applies well. I wear it every day all year and it gives me a good light coverage plus SPF 50 to protect my skin. I usually shake it off before applying it to mix the cream and oil. By way of comparison, I need to dab the thick consistency of Chantecaille for application and it's a little greasy for me. I’m not a fan of the greasy feel after using. It does however hydrate. SPF: Clarins has an spf of 50 while Chantecaille has an spf of 15. Clarins provides better protection against UV Price: Chantecaille-$74 for 50ml(really pricey), Clarins-$43.00 for 30ml So, in my case, Clarins is my holy grail makeup staple! Definitely will keep buying this!

HOLY GRAIL FOUNDATION ✨
SKIN TYPE: acne prone, combination, dehydrated PRODUCT: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation Shade: 4 (light skin with golden undertones) I am super late to the Armani Beauty foundation hype but I am so glad I tried it out this past year! I have been searching for a noncomedogenic foundation that would smooth out my skin without clinging to my dry patches from eczema or exacerbate my acne. I’ve tried SO MANY foundations that claimed to do just that but either made me super oily at the end of the day, highlighted my dryness, or made acne worse! This has been the only foundation that has made my face look amazing and clear with a finish that looks just like glowing skin! I’ve applied this with my fingers, a dense brush, and a sponge and it always applied beautifully without wearing out or oxidizing throughout the day. And it matches my skin tone perfectly. For CosDNA lovers, it currently only has dimethicone with a rating of 1 as a potential acne irritant but other than that, nothing!!! At $64 for 1 fl oz. or $42 for 0.6 oz this definitely is one of the most luxurious products on the market. However if you’re willing to splurge or if you’ve been desperately searching for THE FOUNDATION after trying so many, I definitely recommend you give this a shot! 💕
ARMANI beauty-Luminous Silk Foundation
I have combination-oily skin and I've used these four foundations in winter. Fenty Beauty Foundation Shade 120 FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation Star rating: ⭐️⭐️ It smells good and is very thin, but it does nothing for concealing.👎 Givenchy Blurring Foundation Balm GIVENCHY - Teint Couture Blurring Foundation Balm Broad Spectrum 15 Star rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It conceals well and is very moisturizing. I highly recommended it.👍 Chantecaille FoundationCHANTECAILLE - Future Skin Gel Foundation Star rating: ⭐️ It's thin and moisturizing but is not particularly good at concealing, so it's more suitable for girls with dry skin and less blemishes.👎 Guerlain Powder Foundation GUERLAIN - Parure Gold Radiance Compact Powder Foundation Star rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It comes with a built-in mirror and puff, so it's perfect for touch-ups. The fine powder never caused any clumping. I highly recommended this product.👍

Tinted moisturizer: scam or revolutionary?
I’m constantly striving for the perfect “no makeup makeup” look, and work to find the products that’s promise “your ____ but better”. Tinted moisturizer held an obvious appeal. Significantly lighter than foundation, supposedly less clogging and irritating than foundation, and will give you a natural glow. I got my first tinted moisturizer around two years ago. I’m careful with my money and shopped for a long time before settling on the bareMinerals tinted gel moisturizer. People had raved about this product, and I was certainly intrigued. Since then, this product has become an absolute staple. It has a perfect buildable coverage and can be applied with a brush or sponge. I use a beauty blender and the recommended pearl sized dollop of product to cover my whole face. Some days I’ll do a bit more or less, but I’m always happy with the results. This product offers light to medium coverage (I wear it light) and a decent shade range for a tinted moisturizer. Pros: never melted off oily spots or stuck to dry spots buildable coverage decent shade range not heavy on the face never irritated or broken me out covers redness, evens skin tone lasts a VERY long time fair price Cons: does fade slightly throughout the day (soaks in) may not work well for very oily skin difficult to cover extremely red or uneven tone Overall, I’ve repurchased this product many times but my most recent tube will be my last. Once I finish out my 1 1/4 tubes of product, I’ll be buying the cult classic it! CC cream and trying out a heavier coverage. I’ve tried multiple tinted moisturizers (elf, color pop, smaller brands) and always find myself coming back to this one. For anyone concerned about covering heavy acne or redness, a green color correcting primer set with powder will help neutralize this, and the moisturizer will have no issues covering this green. Can not recommend it enough to anyone who’s in the market for a BB cream/tinted moisturizer! Product: bareMinerals - Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30
bareMinerals-Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30
If this foundation wasn’t so warm toned, it would be my perfect foundation. Sheer to medium coverage (depending on how much you build it up), with a second-skin like finish. Perfect for combo-oily skins as it sets from a light emulsion to a non-matte powder like finish (it’s in no way drying). So many sheer foundations are dewy and don’t last more than an hour on my skin. This lasts a decent 6-8 hours without an additional powder on top. Has to be blended quickly into the skin as it sets fast - but easy to get used to. Love it.
CHANEL-PERFECTION LUMIÈRE VELVET Foundation
I really like the packaging to this. Very solid. I also really like the applicator, it’s a pointed tip can pinpoint small area also it’s also a bigger, wider sponge that allows coverage on larger areas. The coverage is really good, my face usually has a lot of redness and it builds up for heavier acne coverage. It also has a matte finish which I like and doesn’t draw unwanted attention to the areas you try to cover.
