﹛Tarte tarteguard20 Tinted Moisturizer﹜
Every time I wear this tarte - Tarteguard 20 tinted moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 I'm shocked at how amazing it makes my skin look. It's a tinted moisturizer so it's super lightweight and never ever feels heavy or cakey no matter how much you put on. And since it's a tinted moisturizer, it doesn't offer a huge amount of coverage - however, it does offer something that is, in my opinion, way better. Every time I apply this, it somehow transforms my tired, red, bumpy face into... Idk, the face of someone with flawless skin? Lol you know what I'm trying to say. I always apply this using just my hands and after a few seconds of haphazardly smearing this stuff around all over my face, I'm literally always left dumbfounded because HOW can this super light coverage tinted moisturizer, that I've heard NO ONE EVER talk about, do such amazing things to my skin??? Now that I've totally sold you on it, here comes the bad news... I believe tarte has discontinued this product as it's no longer listed on their official website or on other beauty websites like Sephora and Ulta. On tarte's website, they do have one particular set of products for sale in a lil kit that still includes a (smaller than full size, but still!) tarteguard20 tinted moisturizer as part of it. Will I be purchasing said set of products solely to get my hands on some of the (presumably) last available bottles of this magical base product? I'm not prepared to say no.... Although im really not at all interested in any of the other products included in that lil set, so it would be such a silly purchase, but then again, would it? I feel like you only find a product that works magic on your face once in a lifetime, you know? UGH why do brands always seem to discontinue only the best, irreplaceable products??? WHY? I need answers. RIP tarteguard20 - u will be FUCKING missed 😭

﹛Versed Look Alive & Versed Photos, Please Mask﹜
I'll start with the VERSED - LOOK ALIVE Hydrating Plumping Mask . My dry skin absolutely loves this mask every time I choose to use it and tbh I don't even feel the need to wash this off after use most of the time because my skin is so thirsty that it just drinks this right up! Love using this mask on days when my skin feels particularly parched, but honestly I can use this anytime and still appreciate its benefits! As for the VERSED - PHOTOS, PLEASE BRIGHTENING TIGHTENING MASK , I will say that I tend to shy away from the majority of clay-based masks simply because my skin is prone to dryness and I've found that clay masks only exacerbate that dryness in most cases. However, this is one clay mask that I actually genuinely don't mind, and even thoroughly enjoy using! I'm so glad because I know clay masks have lots of skincare benefits, and I thought I just had to live without them solely because of my dry skin type... but not anymore! Also, side note, I definitely partially just like to use this mask because I think I look cute and exude that effortless self-care aesthetic when my face is slathered in baby pink kaolin clay in the form of this Versed mask, lol 😅 Two questions for you guys to answer in the comments today: 1. What's your favorite skincare/self-care mask product (or products)? 2. What's a product or product type that you feel like you can't really or just don't really like to use because of something like your skin type or any other reason?? I'm super curious!!! ❤︎❤︎❤︎

﹛Ciaté London Glow-To Highlighter﹜
Okay, so I know this isn't the most aesthetically-pleasing product photo I've ever posted, but regardless of my... rather minimal packaging on this product, I still wanted to showcase it and talk about it on my feed because it's honestly one of my absolute favorite highlighters and even one of my fav products in general! This product is the ciaté - Glow-to Highlighter in the shade 'Moondust,' and the reason for the simple (weird) plastic packaging on my particular product is because I received it as part of an Ipsy bag a whileeee ago. And I'm really glad I ended up getting this guy in that Ipsy bag because I definitely don't think I ever would have gravitated towards a pink-looking, super intense highlighter like this one if I were just browsing beauty products online or in-store - I tend to prefer more of a pearly, champagne kind of tone to my highlighters and I've stuck pretty closely to that 'rule' for pretty much all of the highlighters in my collection except for this one, and that's only because I wasn't the one who picked it out; it was picked out for me! Just goes to show that even if you definitely have a 'type' when it comes to certain beauty products, you shouldn't necessarily avoid everything that doesn't fit your mold of what you typically like! As you can see in the photo, this highlighter, when swatched/applied, actually appears muuuuch more champagne/golden-toned than it looks in the pan! So if you've ever had your eye on the Ciaté Glow-To highlighters, don't immediately write off the shade Moondust simply because it looks and is described as pink on the website! What's a product you've gotten as either a part of a beauty subscription like Ipsy or Boxycharm, or as a gift, or anything that was picked out by someone other than you that you ended up really enjoying? Have you ever pre-judged a certain beauty product or formed an opinion about it that completely changed after you actually tried it out for yourself? Please let me know!!!! 🥰
﹛Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara﹜
I happened to stumble upon this mini ILIA - Limitless Lash Mascara while I was browsing Sephora's Rewards Bazaar and decided to get it, along with the items I was purchasing, in exchange for 100 Sephora rewards points. Typically, I never cash in my points for 100-point items simply because I always try to save up my points at Sephora so I can eventually redeem the ever-coveted $100 gift card point perk (I've only ever redeemed one of these before, but I'm getting pretty close to my next one... soon, if I can snag it!). However, this particular mascara is one that I've been really wanting to try, and since I already have several mascaras already opened and being used/in rotation in my collection, I figured this mini size would be just perfect for me to be able to try it out without having to spend the money to purchase the full size. My first impression of this mascara after I received it in the mail was that the brush/wand has a really unique comb-like shape/bristle pattern. One side has shorter, thinly-spaced bristles, and the other side's bristles are slightly longer and spaced farther apart. I think it's a really cool idea to have a mascara wand with two differing sides, because that way you can either choose to use just the side you most prefer, or you can use a combination of the two sides after one another to really get your lashes to look the way you want them to. Although I really don't buy into the whole hype/idea of 'clean beauty' at all, I can acknowledge that it's trendy right now and that lots of people do seem to see some sort of merit in purchasing more 'clean beauty' products. What I enjoy about this mascara is that you don't have to make a choice between 'clean beauty' and quality - this mascara does wonders for my lashes and makes them look better than a lot of other, comparable high-end mascaras do that aren't necessarily 'clean.' So, whether or not you're interested in clean beauty, tbh you really can't go wrong with this beautiful mascara! 😊

Zitsticka Killa™ Kit
Not too long ago, I was lucky enough to win an Instagram giveaway with the prize being one ZITSTICKA - Killa Kit . In the Killa™ Kit, they've included a small lil pamphlet with some simple step-by-step 'instructions' on how they recommend to best put the kit to use, as well as the 8 actual Microdart Patches plus 8 pre-soaked cleaning swabs that are provided to allow you to effectively prep the targeted breakout you're experiencing for the application of one of the microdart patches. Each pre-soaked cleaning swab contains the ingredients Salicylic Acid, Tea Tree Oil, Vitamin E, and Alcohol; while each microdart pimple patch contains the ingredients Hyaluronic Acid, Oligopeptide-76, Salicylic Acid, and Niacinamide. As far as I know based on my current basic skincare knowledge, the aforementioned ingredient lists sound like they would likely be beneficial and helpful when attempting to optimize the healing of an active breakout, or at the very least, they wouldn't make anything worse and/or aggravate the blemish further. Overall, I have a few qualms with the whole idea of Zitsticka: first of all, each Killa™ Kit costs $29 USD while containing only 8 actual pimple patches. That's a really high price, in my opinion, for what you get. Also, the packaging of the Killa™ Kit seems at least mildly excessive, honestly. I can understand why they felt the need to individually package each wipe and microdart patch, I guess, for sanitary reasons, but I feel like the box itself probably isn't the most optimal way they could have packaged it, and there's also a most definitely unnecessary white divider at the bottom of the box that functions solely to provide each individual microdart patch and the wipe packets with their own little slot... why?! I've included a photo of the bottom of the box (the bottom left photo) so you can see exactly what I mean. Let me know if you're at all bothered by these lil things like I am, or if you see the necessity to it! 😚
Saint Jane Luxury CBD Beauty Serum
One of the recently available 'beauty offers' at Sephora was this lil sample of the SAINT JANE - Luxury CBD Beauty Serum that you could add on to your order using a promo code. To be completely honest, I'm fairly skeptical of the current benefits of cbd in skincare after reading a scholarly research article about it and how the minimal/optimal dosage amounts for cbd to have any beneficial effect when applied topically as it is with skincare products haven't really been studied enough to establish any kind of standards. Regardless, though, I am interested in this brand in general, and it's not like I had to spend any extra money to get to try out this sample product, so why not, right? Upon my first application of this cbd beauty 'serum,' I was admittedly a little confused as to why they named this product the way they did, as a 'serum.' To me, at least, it felt much more like a skincare oil than a serum, which I didn't expect, but after investigating further and reading some of the reviews on the Sephora product page, I found that quite a few others felt the same way. While I appreciate the quite luxurious appearance and packaging of this product (of both the actual full size AND the little sample I received for free), I can't really think of any reason I, or anyone, should ever pay $125 for one single fluid ounce of this stuff. It's honestly really rather comparable to my other cbd and hemp seed facial oils in my collection, ones that have a muuuuch lower and, in my opinion, more reasonable price tag. Nothing about this 'serum' or oil, whatever you wanna call it, stood out to me as being particularly special or more luxurious than similar, cheaper products from other brands. I'm definitely glad I was able to try the sample of this, though, because I likely would have been super disappointed if I had ever convinced myself to purchase the full size product, or even the 0.3 fl oz version for $38 USD. I'd much rather spend that $ on other, more unique products 🙃

THIS IS NOT ACNE! Have you experienced this?
For once in your life, you’ve probably experienced this weird feeling on your face! These small, red, bumps on your cheeks or forehead. You may think it’s a growing pimple. But it’s been a week or more and it’s still not gone! It’s never grown into that disgusting white, swollen volcano you call a pimple. Fear not! Your skin will get better because this is most likely a case of prickly heat rash. What is it? It’s a skin condition caused by blocked sweat ducts and trapped sweat beneath the skin. This is because of hot and humid weather. Symptoms -red tiny bumps -itchiness -prickly feeling *THIS IS SHORT TERM IT LASTS WITHIN DAYS TO WEEKS* I’m not saying you should stop exercising or not move at all! I’m saying you should always make sure you wipe that sweat away or take cool showers. I’m letting you know this because, I TOO, have experienced this recently. I thought it was my skin breaking out. But they never came to a pimple so I was scared my cheeks and forehead was going to be bumpy and feel like sandpaper forever. But I did my research and started paying more attention to what I do. Which came to realizing that after working out in the morning, I DON’T take a shower right away. I usually sit down and go through social media first. WORSE CHOICE POSSIBLE! So that ended up with all the sweat accumulated on my forehead to become into, yes, a heat rash. So I started a new routine, brought a towel to my daily workouts, and wiped them off every time I felt sweating a river. I made sure I DID NOT SKIP my skin care routine! MORNING AND EVENING! DID MY FACE MASKS! And I made sure my showers were JUST RIGHT, never too cold or too hot! The more you shower in hot temperature, the more it will worsen your skin and rash. If you take showers in hot temperatures, it will dry out your skin more!! And thankfully after around 2 and a half weeks, my face started feeling smooth again. I don’t see bumps anymore. What I’m trying to say is, don’t panic over a skin condition you encounter! Do your research, don’t skip your skin care, and sleep well! *The first 3 pictures are sample pictures of what a heat rash looks like* *I wish I had taken a photo when I had the rash! But my skin now is extremely clear ONCE MORE, so the last picture is my skin now after all the rash craziness* I hope this helps!
Firstly fresh soy face cleanser has quickly become a favourite of mine. It’s a gel like consistency with a gentle cucumber scent. This cleanser is a gentle cleanser which doesn’t leave the skin dry or stripped. I’ll definitely repurchase. Secondly first aid beauty face cleanser it’s so a gentle cleanser. Without a scent with cleanser is a classic and does what it’s suppose to do. I do enjoy this product a lot but I find sometimes when I’m extra dry my skin feels tight and itchy.
FIRST AID BEAUTY-Pure Skin Face Cleanser
I’d compare to DE lala retro whipped cream!!
I watched a beauty within episode and they compared this Paulas choice product with drunk elephants lala retro whipped cream because of similar textures and certain ingredients. It sounds interesting so I purchased a travel sized and I’ve already purchased a full sized because I’m in love!! It’s a whipped cream that is very hydrating and moisturising. Doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. This has quickly become a staple in my routine. I’m obsessed and so is my mum, I’d definitely recommend this product to anyone with dry skin!
PAULA'S CHOICE-Omega+ Complex Moisturizer
bye bye texture ✌🏼
found this toner last year and it’s been a staple in my routine since the beginning. My skin can be sensitive towards toners but I haven’t had any issues with this product. No redness or itchiness. Over the last few months this toner has helped with my acne and scarring but also the overall texture of my skin and my pores are smaller. After using this product the next morning my skin is glowing and looks so smooth. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking to test out chemical exfoliants or looking for a new toner. It is on the pricer side but you will see results. Plus youth to the people have such incredible ethics and morals as a brand so your supporting a good clean brand! YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE-Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner
This serum is very lightweight and instantly absorbs into the skin. I’ve quickly fallen in love as it’s very hydrating and nourishing for my skin. There isn’t a strong scent of the product isn’t irritating. Sadly it’s on the pricer side of a serum that I’m willing to purchase so I’m not sure I’d repurchase.
