My simple morning skincare routine 😁!
First the foaming facial cleanser ( CeraVe )! I really like it cause I have really oily skin, it doesn't strip my face, and also it leaves my face really clean. Second the Niacinamide + zinc serum? From the ordinary! It's good for targeting oily skin and keeping it controlled and also supports the skin barrier. Lastly the CeraVe Am facial moisturizing lotion with sunscreen! I love it but sometimes if I use to much it kinda leaves a white cask for a lil bit 😬!

Step 4: Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! 🧡
Okay, if you remember from my Skin Journey post, I was super oily as a teen into my college years and thought “I don’t need to moisturize because my skin is oily enough.” Do you remember that? Who else thought the same thing? 🙋🏼♀️ If you raised your hand, first of all... why? I can’t see you. Lol! But more importantly, we messed up, sis. We messed up BIG TIME. I wanna give you some advice: I don’t care what skin type you have always, always, ALWAYS moisturize!! That being said, let’s talk about the products I use to moisturize. 😊 Product 1: CeraVe - Facial Moisturizing Lotion AM with SPF 30 I like this product, but I don’t like, LIKE like this product, you know? Here’s why: she kinda thicc. I honestly got this lotion because it was like $3 less than the lotion I used prior AND my skin wasn’t as oily as it used to be so I thought this would work out, but naaaaaaw sis. I really needed to figure out a way to make it work. SO... here is.... How I use it: I dot this on my face then smear it as much as I could. THEN, I really press the product in. I don’t know if anyone else has this issue, but when I try to massage it into my skin like I do any other lotion, it pills. 😩 I’ve tried giving my treatment a longer time to set before applying, but it still pills! Idk, sis, butttt this is what works for me. Before this product, I used to use CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin She works like a DREAM. She’s a bit more runny, but that just works better for me. It’s not as tacky as the other lotion. I’d recommend this lotion over the other lotion any day! (It’s worth the $3 extra lol) Product 2: PACIfICA - Wake Up Beautiful Mask Warning: this and many other Pacifica products have fragrance in it. It’s typically towards the end of the ingredients list (which means there isn’t much of it), so my skin doesn’t react to it, but if you’re mad sensitive, just don’t do it. Anyways, other than fragrance, this “overnight hydration mask,” which I use as a night cream, has some AMAZING ingredients in it that help my skin out SO much. Aloe, glycerin, vitamin B & E, hyaluronic acid, and rice to name A FEW. And sis, yo girl is not a fan of mushrooms at. all., BUT my skin LOVES it. Because I have such harsh treatments I apply to my skin (referring to the AHAs), I like to balance it out with hydrating products (this cream, the squalane in the biossance product I use, hyaluronic acid from TO, and certain oils). How I use it: After my treatment is fully absorbed into my skin, I’ll take a pea size amount of this (a little goes a long way!) and a drop of The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil (which is known to help exfoliate and brighten the skin), mix the 2 together with my fingers, and then massage it into my face in gentle, circular motions. Then, press it into my skin. I really do wake up feeling beautiful! ☺️ Have you tried any of these products? Xoxo Xenia
my experience with cerave
i started using these cerave products about two weeks ago. i am never consistent with my skincare since i move from my moms house to my dads house- so maybe that’s why i’m not really seeing dramatic results. i use the cleanser in the shower in the mornings, and use the moisturizer when i do the rest of my skincare after my shower. the cleanser has a thicker consistency than what i’m used to (liquidy cleansers) and has a significant smell. the smell isn’t bad but none of my past cleansers have had any sort of smell. i haven’t seen any results with this cleanser except making my skin smoother, but then again it’s probably because i’m not consistent! the moisturizer works great sometimes but other times it dries up and becomes dry. it peels off my skin and leaves white residue which is uncomfortable and a pain because i’ll have to wash my face again to get it off. even though my skin is still dry and i’ve seen no significant results, i know consistency is key so i will continue to use these products daily and hope i see some change!

An Ordinary “The Ordinary” Skincare Journey
(So this is my first post, please be kind to me, I’ve always been into beauty products and skincare but never really started exploring things and posting stuff about beauty until now!) I’m here to share my personal experience so far (2 weeks) with The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum. I originally heard about DECIEM products through my cousin, who had been raving about how cheap and effective their products are. Initially skeptical, I decided to look into The Ordinary products was overwhelmed with positive reviews here and there, with everyone raving about how incredible this skincare line is. Intrigued, I looked up a specific product that might help me with my skincare goals. I had been in what was the best skin condition of my life with minimal breakouts and relatively nicer pores, but had a constant blotchiness and redness and slight pigmentation in various places, not to mention horrendous dark circles. The Niacinamide serum seemed to be the solution i was looking for to help with brightening and evening skin tone as well as minimizing breakouts and aiding pore reduction. Sounded like a win win situation to me. Knowing I had sensitive skin, I started small with a couple of drops that I patch tested on my face and was immediately horrified with the stinging sensation I got when I applied it. I had tried many, many products in the past for my problematic skin, including the Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Glycolic Night Serum which left my skin sensitive and blotchy with minimal improvement. I was nervous and gutted. I wanted this product to be the miracle worker everyone talked about. I wanted this to be my answer. I desperately searched articles looking to see if there were any testimonials to having a negative reaction to the product and learned that some people just continued to power forward and saw results. So I stuck it out. I thought of this weird stinging sensation as an initial shock of using something so entirely different to what I’m used to and powered through. My skin was red, blotchy, itchy and inflamed for 6 days, and I was about to stop using the product altogether. From some sources, it states that you should not be experiencing purging with niacinamide. For someone with sensitive skin, I truly believe this was what happened to me, a little bit of a shock and cleansing . By day 7 my skin did a complete 180. And ever since then, I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in complexion and overall improvement in the appearance of my skin. I’ve heard that results are most noticeable 1 month after treatment start date but I have already noticed a difference with reducing redness only 2 weeks into using this product. I have no doubt that this product will continue to remain a part of my skincare routine. I hope sharing my experience will help anyone else who might have thoughts about using this product! my updated summer 2020 routine
i still have to try the cold pressed rosehip oil from the ordinary, but i love the rest of my routine. i think i need to change some things like my suncreen (cerave am spf 30) because it makes me breakout everytime. i want to try out the aveeno calming sunscreen and stop the acids because it might irritate my skin (i’ll keep on using the clinique gel as a spot treatment)

Updated Skincare Routine for Dry and Oily skin
So this is how my face looks after 12 days of using nicinamide of the ordinary. My verdict about it is 10/10. I definitely get less sebum and less acne, and the blemishes also started to fade away. My skin care routine hasn’t change in the past 2 months and ive never been happier. AM skincare routine: -Hydrating Cleanser from CeraVe (because i have reslly dry skin) -89 Vichy Booster - Nicinamide and Zinc from The Ordinary - Moisturizing Cream from CeraVe -Heliocare Sun Screen Gel 50 spf - Eye Repair Cream from CeraVe PM skincare routine: (I use the healing clay mask 1-2 times a week) -Hydrating Cleanser from CeraVe (because i have reslly dry skin) -89 Vichy Booster - Nicinamide and Zinc from The Ordinary - Moisturizing Cream from CeraVe -Eye Repair Cream from CeraVe - Blistex Lip Medex I haven’t used makeup in month and my goal with this routine is to get my face nice and clean, so i can no longer look back and depend on makeup. CeraVe-Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin
hiii! here's some background about me and my skin: i'm a 15 year old girl and i have combination to oily skin with dark spots on my chin due to hormonal acne. i do get occasional acne on my forehead or sides of my face. i have normal skin. im not sure if ethnicity matters so much, but i am indian. here's my routine: 1. CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin 2. Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser 3. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 4. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% 5. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% i just want some feedback for my routine to know if i'm applying everything correctly and if these products are good for my skin concerns! also recommendations for new products or what these products did for you (if you used them) would also be extremely helpful. my main question is whether i should be double cleansing even though i don't wear makeup. thank you for reading :)

I will let you know if the hype is a lie. 🌋
My beautiful face has new visitors. This time hard ones, and they come in groups! Three big volcanoes are trying to explode around my face and I tried the ordinary to make them fail! -Thank you in advance for reading me!- Today I did a simple routine. • Some micellar face wash for hydration and since I don’t use make up this just helps me clean the sunscreen and the morning products from my face. • After that I went ahead with the The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. I have to say that I almost fail to wait 5 simple minutes (yes, I preferred to do it 5 minutes), it was like itching or like tingling my face. But HEY! I can’t denied that my face was less red, and could see the product trying to even out the color of these volcanoes. 😯 As you can see in the pics that I added. • Then, I went ahead and added some hydration with the The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5this made me feel relieved after the weird sensation with the peeling acid. 😩 I felt my face drinking and drinking this product up. She really appreciate it. • I added my common moisturizer CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion This is the first cerave product that I tried and I fell in love with it. My skin had a BIG POSITIVE reaction to it. She fell in love with it. Looks like a very simple moisturizer, nothing like “wow!” But hey! Don’t judge a book by his cover. • And FINALLYYYY, IT CANT BE LEFTTT OUT. I settled everything up (yes, I call this my “I’m finish” product), with some fresh air GARNIER - SkinActive Balancing Facial Mist with Green Tea I use the aloe Vera one, and it’s incredible good the feeling of your face relaxing in the couch after so many acids. 🥵 I honestly have some hope for the ordinary products. I have seen many people saying it works, and that is a NEED. Well, I can’t simply be the exception, please Pray. 😩🤣 Okay, I will report back to you guys tmw. Thank you for reading me. 🥰
