Are you dealing with butt acne? Read this!
-Hi! Thanks for reading me in advance. ✨- Buttne is a shorthand for butt acne. Which is a very common and uncomfortable skin condition so don’t feel bad about it. 😋 In addition of giving you a very bad bump in your butt it is also very painful and itchy as well. Butt acne is not usually the common acne, is a folliculitis. What is a folliculitis? Well, is a mild infection of the hair follicle that leads to pus pimples or red bumps. This non regular pimple are caused by a combination of your follicles getting blocked and a bacterial infection. Sometimes the causes are very gross, or they can be a “wait, really!?” 😳
If you keep your wet sweaty clothes after you hit the gym, then expect buttne.
If you spend long hours sitting down, then this friction and irritation will cause those follicles to get clogged.
If your case is wearing undies past their time, which is gross, but totally expect Buttne with this.
Do not wear tight-fitting clothes too much either! This traps sweat and oil against your skin, which... you know what can happen.Let’s say you have these, well there is not problem with it. We got the solution! 😗 I suggest you to try these at home options to help your peach look better. 🙊
Try a salicylic acid body wash. This will help you to unclogged those pores by exfoliating your skin.
You can also try to target your butt with a benzoyl peroxide body wash. This is very effective to treat acne and folliculitis because of its antimicrobial ingredients.
You can also bright up acne marks with glycolic acid.
Try to moisturize your butt with a lactic acid lotion whenever you get the chance. Don’t feel scare, this won’t clog your pores.
If you shave, try to shave the right way. Don’t go against the grain of your hair.
If these solutions or any other don’t work. Then a consultation with a dermatologist will help you more. :)I useful tip is to leave the acne medication sit on your skin for 8-10 minutes. This way it can penetrate the skin before washing it off. Maybe put the product before you step on the shower, shampoo your hair, condition your hair, maybe shave, sing some songs. And then wash it off :) Some good products for Buttne:

Since my last post my routine has been all over the place. Cleansers: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin3 times a week PanOxyl - Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Maximum Strength4 times a week Treatment: 0.0025% tretinoin 3 times a week. I use after the CeraVe Krave - Great Barrier Relief my skin was struggling in Dec so I purchased this in order to heal my moisture barrier, which was damaged. My skin is now doing better and am back on using my stronger treatments and products above. Moisturizer: FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream SPF: CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 Along with everything I have been on 100mg of Spironolactone since Jan 8th. I do believe my skin is flaring up because of it and it will until my body adjusts to it. I am having a hard time handling the hyperpigmentation on my face from last acne, or so I believe it’s hyperpigmentation. I know there is light at the end of the tunnel. I have been on spiro in the past and it did wonders for my skin, so I look forward to this journey. Will post updates as I see improvements or needed!
Tips from a derm for exercise induced acne
With a new year comes resolutions, many involving healthier lifestyles and exercise. So why let exercise induced acne hold you back from achieving these healthier choices. Exercising can cause excessive sweating-leading to increased oils, dirt, friction, and even bacteria on your skin leading to acne. This can manifest as facial or truncal acne (think backne), often known as acne mechanica or folliculitis. Cleansing properly is incredibly important for preventing exercise induced acne. It’s important to remove all makeup prior to working out. Gently shower with lukewarm water immediately after sweating. If a shower is not available, reach for a cleansing wipe. Clean, loose-fitting moisture wicking attire is key. This helps prevent friction and additional bacteria and sweat from dirty clothing. In addition to wiping down all gym equipment, don’t forget about the stuff that hits your skin regularly such as headphones, watches, and headbands. Most importantly, don’t forget sunscreen and gentle moisturizers. 🎯Ingrown hairs—these two little words conjure🎯
In our quest for smooth, stubble-free skin, ingrown hairs are an annoyance at best and cause for concern at worst (trust me- you don't want to see what they look like when they get infected)🤐 The cause of ingrown hairs isn't complicated. Simply put, when your hair starts to grow, sometimes it curls inward and gets trapped back under the surface of your skin. This can happen because dead skin cells clog up your hair follicle (so always, always exfoliate), but ingrowns also exist just because of your hair's natural growth pattern—so, unfortunately, those with curly hair may suffer the most! Aspirin-Honey Treatment This recipe is a double whammy. Not only does aspirin naturally contain salicylic acid, but honey also has antibacterial properties, which can help reduce the possibility of inflammation and infection. 🔎Ingredients: 3 uncoated aspirin tablets 1 tsp. honey 1/2 to 1 tsp. water or oil Directions: Add warm water or oil to a bowl Add honey Crush aspirin tablets Mix together Leave mask on for 10 minutes Wipe off entirely with warm water Coconut Oil Sugar Scrub Coconut oil, for example, is hydrating, keeps skin moisturized, and reduces inflammation.4 It's basically our winter skin savior. Mix it with raw sugar and you've got a winner. You can use this scrub daily until you see an improvement, and then you can switch to two to three times a week. Just be careful that the scrub isn't too abrasive. 🔎Ingredients: 1 cup of raw sugar 1/2 cup of coconut oil 10 drops of tea tree oil, or your preferred essential oil Directions: Combine sugar and coconut oil in a bowl Add in essential oil Mix together Apply and then rinse using warm water Dry with a clean towel Baking Soda and Oatmeal Treatment I am huge fan of baking soda and how amazing this ingredient is! And rediciliously cheap. Baking soda, which is a great exfoliator, helps reduce and prevent ingrown hairs. Oatmeal has a soothing effect, reducing redness and irritation caused by exfoliation. 🔎Ingredients: 1 tbsp. baking soda 1 cup of water 1 tbsp. ground oatmeal Directions: Mix baking soda and oatmeal together Add water to the bowl Stir until it has a paste-like texture Using a cotton pad, scoop up the mixture Apply to the affected area and let sit for 10 minutes Rinse with warm water Oil-Based Serum if you're particularly sensitive, it's best to avoid overly harsh scrubs. Abrasive scrubs like sugar and salt scrubs do exfoliate the skin but often at the expense of causing excess skin irritation 🔎Ingredients: 1 tbsp. castor oil 1 tbsp. hemp oil (optional) 10 drops tea tree oil Directions: Find a reusable glass bottle Combine castor oil and hemp oil Add tea tree oil to mix Apply combination after shaving to prevent irritation alba BOTANICA - Acne Dote, Face & Body Scrub Oil-Free CeraVe - SA Moisturizing Cream For Rough & Bumpy Skin GLYTONE - KP Kit Amlactin - Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion
Best Lotion for Body Hyperpigmentation/Marks‼️
Finally found it people! A lotion that does the job of clearing my hyperpigmentation without having to go and pay for treatment (although it would have been much faster, but in this economy... 😅) The pictures are different shoulders cut from pictures that I have in my gallery, but my hyperpigmentation was in both shoulders and back! In both areas, my skin has CLEARED so much‼️There’s still progress to be made... Amlactin - Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion I’ve gone through VARIOUS lotions and all of them either cause breakouts or just wasn’t showing results for the hyperpigmentation. This one does not cause me any breakout and has alpha hydroxy therapy at an AFFORDABLE PRICING (compared to others with this technology). They also recently started selling it on Walgreens, although I still buy it from Amazon, since it’s way cheaper. Would highly recommend, it’ll take some weeks to start seeing the results, but it worked and continuous to work for me! #CheriePartner

PETER THOMAS ROTH - Max Complexion Salicylic Acid Pore Refining Pads Was something that caught my eye because the dr Dennis ones were getting pricey and this just was much less waste as well Price $46/ 60ct which is reasonable as it’s meant as a daily use item so $0.76 cents/day Claims to improve look of pores ,help uneven texture and clear blemishes Ingredients that exfoliate like salicylic and glycolic acid as well as anti-aging ingredients like peach fruit extract Initial reaction to this product was wow this smells strong definitely held my breath a little when using and not in a small room but product size wise it’s more than enough for your whole face , product is on a nice round cotton , with a wet wipe like texture that comes in a plastic jar container Long term benefits/short term benefits I saw from this product were pretty efficient, felt tight and polished initially after the product dries on my face also not a daily use product for me as it does have some long term benefits helping texture on my forhead and even reducing the look of my pores so I started to use other products Only reason I really rated it a 4 was because wow that smell was very potent and hurt my nose when inhaled too much also my skin isn’t sensitive so if your skin is sensitive please do a patch test!! anese - That booty tho. The Original Booty Scrub This product has been a repurchase for me and was honestly originally done on a whim after seeing their Instagram page ads and such Luckily it was a product I got good use out of and nice results Price $29 /2oz which isn’t bad at all especially since it’s not a daily use item Claims to help with acne, cellulite and stretch marks Ingredients that exfoliate like walnut shells and hydrating ingredients such as Shea butter and jojoba seed oil Initial reaction was wow this smells different not a “nice “smell almost earthy but texture wise definitely felt like a scrub they recommend one scoop 2-3x week for a nice plump look but only used in shower so kept it there as it comes in a nice sturdy glass jar Long term benefits/ short term benefit is that initial hydration it leaves behind definitely like an oil like moisture not cream like left behind and long term I saw great improvement on my bum clearing up and even looking almost polished! And was as smooth as butter 🧈 I recommend this scrub for the bum!
Peter Thomas Roth is one of my favorite clinical skincare lines, on the market. The Max Complexion Correction Pads are an easy way to practice regular (chemical) exfoliation. They contain both BHA & AHA exfoliants such as 2% Salicylic Acid & 10% Glycolic Acid. Each of these ingredients aid in clearing up acne & blackheads, while working to smooth out fine lines & wrinkles. These double-sided exfoliating pads are also beautifully complimented with calming Arginine. It is typically recommended to exfoliate 2-3 x a week. Although, I would suggest to use these pads only 1-2 x a week, due to the high potency of Glycolic Acid Complex & in place of any other topical acne products. They are to be applied after your cleanser, within your PM regimen & followed with a hydrating serum or moisturizer. It is also extremely important that you include a daily broad spectrum sunscreen when incorporating a chemical exfoliant into your skincare routine! I would not recommend these for sensitive skin! Hello beauty! 💫 I want to share my night skincare routine. I have been suffering from acne since I was in elementary, middle and high school, my acne became very bad. I have tried many products, some good others not so much. Since I discovered these products they have helped me a lot with my acne, and that is why I share them with you guys. 1. The first thing I do is wash my face with Cerave Foaming Cleanser. 2. I apply The Ordinary Niacinamide + Zinc serum that helps me a lot to control the sebum of my face and eat the spots. 3. I apply this cream moisturizer that is for combination to oily skin, does not leave my face greasy and is very light, it adsorbs very quickly. (It also helps to control the sebum on the face but without drying it too much) 4. Even if it is at night you should always apply sunscreen because even if you don't believe it, the lights on your phone, or home light can also cause damage. 5. Finally I apply a localizing treatment for the pimples, it helps me to dry it and reduce its size. I hope this information is helpful. 🧡 CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Neutrogena - Neutrogena Combination Skin Moisture Australian Gold - Botanical Tinted Face Sunscreen SPF 50 Neutrogena - Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Cream Cleanser
My full current routine
My skin is very acne prone skin and has been as long as I can remember, yet I’ve never been able to find anything that really works, you know? Thus, I’ve decided to put my current routine out there in the hopes that someone, anyone might be able to offer some advice or tips to help. Morning: wash with the 3.5%Neutrogena - Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Cream Cleanser(I’ve searched for a 10% formula but I guess it’s not carried in Canada) tone withpixi - Glow Tonicwith 5% glycolic. Sometimes I also use THAYERS - Lavender Facial Tonerbut not as often anymore mix 3 drops of lavido - Invigorating Facial Serumwith 3 drops of íUNIK - Tea Tree Relief Serumand a pump of vitamin C serum from a local brand called Truly Lifestyle Brand. I’m not sure it’s the best to mix my serums like that but hey. Also the vitamin C serum is a 17% concentration. moisturize with Cetaphil - DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30. I actually do feel as if this has helped my acne but I could just be imagining it; I used to believe that my old moisturizer broke me out before I switched to this one. Sometimes I feel dry since it’s oil absorbing I guess but it’s not frequent. lastly isOLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème; I don’t suffer from dark under eyes but I still like this one. Evening: wash with same neutrogena face wash tone with pixi toner I used to use the proactiv md 3 step routine and although I don’t use the cleanser and rarely use the sunscreen-moisturizer, I recently started using the proactiv - Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne Treatmentagain use the same serums minus the vit c serum moisturize with the CAUDALIE - Vineactiv 3 in 1 Vitamin C Anti-Wrinkle Moisturizer. I’m not concerned about anti-aging, I was recommended this for helping with the skin barrier. Sometimes for nighttime I also mix this moisturizer with the LANEIGE - Cica Sleeping Maskor SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask spot treat overnight with CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel Weekly: one or twice a week, surprise surprise, I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution for my pores and to fade my dark spots. usually once a week, sometimes twice I use the AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Claywith acv a bit less frequently I use the alya skin. - Skin Pink Clay Mask, this one I feel is less effective than the Aztec clay mask but I still like it It might also be worth mentioning that I also have been taking 30mg of zinc which I heard helps with acne, and in the mornings I drink a mixture of acv, lemon juice, turmeric, and cayenne in hot water. I also used to juice celery but I don’t have a juicer right now so haven’t been doing that recently. I feel like that’s enough information but I love getting advice about skincare and talking about it so I’d be happy to give more info if anyone would like it😊😊
From bacne (acne on your back) to buttne (acne on your backside - yep, it's a thing) body spots can be pretty rubbish to deal with. Even worse? When the warm weather makes an appearance, your playsuits come out of hibernation and suddenly you're showing off a little more flesh than usual. How To Get Rid Of Back Acne Swap Out Your Current Body Wash That ultra-creamy, coconut-scented shower gel may feel seriously luxe, but if it doesn't contain zit-zapping ingredients such as salicylic acid (a BHA that exfoliates the skin's surface layer and unblocks pores of sebum and dead skin), glycolic acid (an AHA that dissolves the upper layer of dead skin cells to prevent spots and to blur red marks left behind by acne), and lactic acid (also an AHA with the same skin-smoothing, spot-preventing credentials as glycolic acid, just a little gentler on skin), then it might not be doing your body acne any good. Acids like these prevent dead skin cells from building up and blocking your pores. Use a non-comedogenic body lotion You don't have to give up the moisturiser to keep breakouts at arms length - just make sure you choose the right one - that means ditching the unctuous, oily creams. In layman’s terms, “non-comedogenic” simply means non-pore-clogging. This is important when choosing products that stay on your skin all day or night, such as body lotion. When applied to your chest, non-comedogenic body lotion can help hydrate the skin without causing acne. Some lotions even contain small amounts of salicylic acid to get rid of preexisting breakouts. You may also want to avoid fragrances that can irritate your skin. Try spot treatments Spot treatments can help chest acne breakouts by shrinking pimples and healing the underlying inflammation. Over-the-counter (OTC) spot treatments abound, and most of these contain either salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Of these two ingredients, salicylic acid is preferable because benzoyl peroxide is a notorious for bleaching clothing. There’s a risk of toxicity when salicylic acid is applied to large areas, so make sure you limit it to spot treatments when using it in the chest area. You can also consider some of the following home and natural remedies. Before applying any remedy on your chest, try a patch test to make sure it doesn’t cause any negative reaction. Choose a small spot on your arm and wait 24 hours to see if any rash or irritation develops. Cinnamon and honey Cinnamon and honey can potentially create a powerful acne-fighter when applied to the chest. Cinnamon has antimicrobial capabilities, and raw honey can work as a bacteria-fighting agent. Together, these can reduce bacteria and inflammation that lead to acne. These are safe to use weekly or as needed for new blemishes. To whip this up, mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon with 2 tablespoons of raw honey until it forms a paste. You can apply the mask all over your chest and rinse off after 30 minutes, or you can use it as an overnight spot treatment. Mud or charcoal If you’d rather use a natural treatment that’s already made in a bottle, consider a mask that’s made of mud or charcoal. These can work as all-over treatments or they can be used on a few spots on your chest. Both mud and charcoal fight acne by drawing out impurities. These ingredients may also soften your skin at the same time. One example is the Yes to Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Mud Mask. Use once a week for best results.
Eczema & Dry Skin Products 💧
If you’re like me, you deal with dryness, patchiness, itchiness all over your body. This isn’t new to me - I’ve had eczema since I was 7 and it has flared up in many different ways and on different parts of my body since then. One of my major triggers for my flare ups is stress 😣 Unfortunately, once I get a flare-up, it can take me months before I’m able to get my skin calm and back to “normal” again. Two products that I started using religiously to help with my issues are the SkinFix Resurface+ Glycolic Renewing Scrub & Babo Botanicals Fragrance Free Shampoo and Wash (there is an adult version but they share the exact same formula and the adult version is $5+ more than the baby product.) skinfix - Resurface+ Glycolic Renewing Scrub I really love this scrub for getting the dry skin off my body and helping to renew my skin cells. It issues bamboo crystals and AHAs to bulldoze through that rough skin and helps it to feel smooth af 😆 One of the only hiccups with this product, though, is those bamboo crystals. I feel they are a bit too sharp & rough and they have actually cut my skin in the past 🤭 if they switched to pumice or a finer crystal, this scrub would be absolutely perfect! But for now, it’s the best body scrub/exfoliation I have used to date. babo BOTANICALS - Sensitive Baby Fragrance Free Shampoo & Wash For Sensitive & Eczema-Prone Skin, EWG Verified I really do love this body wash, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it for people with super sensitive skin. It is completely fragrance free and not harsh like other body washes can be (also can be used as a intimate wash for people with vulvas.) However, my one hiccup with this, is that I feel like I have to use A LOT of product to use on my entire body. But overall, is a great formula for those dealing with sensitivities, eczema, rosacea, sunburns, acne etc... A bit more on the pricey side ($20) but worth it IMO. What other products have you all used to combat body eczema and dryness? I would love other recommendations to try out! Let me know in the comments below 🖤🙌🏽
Acne Face and Body wash must haves
Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser This is a product I use ever day which keeps my acne at bay. I feel like it is the only cleanser I have found that actually prevents acne from showing up. Super good for the summer, it sucks all the oils off your face leaving it nice and dry, waiting for a moisturizer Smells nice, actually like grapefruit Cheap enough that it is practical to use twice a day everyday Does not take forever to see results, usually only 1-2 weeks The only true con is that it does not keep your nose clean of black or whiteheads, and some acne is resistant to it Neutrogena - Body Clear, Body Wash This is a good body wash for acne prone zones, for me it’s upper arms and chest This got rid of my active acne on my shoulders and chest Does not dry out skin as much as face wash Somewhat hard time lather/spread because of its gel consistency Does not smell as nice as the face wash
Neutrogena- Body Clear, Body Wash
no more body acne!!
For a few years ive had these weird sometimes red, sometimes normal color, bumps on my legs and sometimes on my arms. I never knew what they were, until I went to a dermatologist and got diagnosed with folliculitis. Its pretty much just hard-to-get-rid-of-ingrown hairs that are infected. Ive had them for YEARS and never found a way to get rid of them, until my derm recommended this wash!! I use this wash on my upper arms, booty, thighs and inner thighs. If ur a chubby thigh girl like me you probably get red bumps/ingrown hairs on your inner thighs. This is AMAZING FOR THAT!!! It really keeps those bumps away. Although, I only use this on my body not my face. This wash has Benzyl peroxide and my face really doesn’t like that. It gets dried out super easily and just irritated, but my body can handle it. Towards the end of my shower, I wet my skin, and then apply this wash and lather it up, but i dont add anymore water. I let the wash sit for a minute or two, then I wash it off. I started seeing results in just 2 weeks, just make sure to moisturize moisturize moisturize!! Do I recommend this? Yes!! PanOxyl - Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Maximum Strength

Thoughts: I had never tried out any Simple products and this would be my first and definitely not my last. I didn't know nothing really about the brand but when I was gifted this along with other goods I did what anyone else would do, read the back. I noticed this spoke about how the pouch is flexible and is made from 62% less plastic, which is cool. I loved seeing that they care about the earth and want to not be wasteful. I also did research online about them and enjoyed how there was no nastiness in their products. I was also drawn in by the adorable packaging and goodness inside, ofcourse. I decided I would try it out immediately since I was suffering from a hormonal breakout, itchyness and irritation. I lathered this onto my face and saw my skin didn't react or get worse it actually felt soothed. I was already enjoying it and even more when it foamed up. I rinsed it off and my skin looked a lot better, clean, nourished and red pimples seemed to have smoothed out some and not be so red surprisingly. I used this cleanser for a good 2 weeks already, my skin is getting tamed and I'm happy. I know this will be my go to cleanser/tamer to my skin when my menstrual comes around each month. Overall, I’m impressed with this. Claims: A facial wash that is for all skin types and is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, has no fragrance, alcohols or bad ingredients and will leave the skin feeling thoroughly cleansed and nourished. Price: $1.99 at Ulta Recommendation: Yes I recommend this face wash because it's great when you're traveling, It's gentle, quick to use, won't irritate and is affordable. Helps acne go away fast! 🌟
Although I have sensitive skin this product is perfect! This product is perfect because it isn’t harsh on my sensitive skin and quickly helped bumps and blemishes go away on my skin. This product here did have a fresh and clean scent I’m pretty sure it isn’t fragrance free because like I mentioned it did have a slight scent to it. •This product significantly helps unclog pores and gently exfoliates your skin. Overall I definitely recommend this product! It significantly helps clear up your skin. Like I mentioned it gently exfoliates and helps with your acne. 🌟
Bioré-Pore Unclogging Scrub
My Acne Cleansers
I have acne prone combination skin (more towards the oily side) My dermatologist recommended PanOxyl - Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Maximum Strength to me over a year ago and I have been using it every night since. The only nights I don’t use it is the night I do my chemical peel or if I use a clay mask. This cleanser makes my face feel so clean, keeps my pores small and keeps my acne at bay. It does make me a little dry but I balance it out with my morning cleanser and good moisturizers. I don’t have very sensitive skin but 10% benzoyl peroxide can be very harsh for some people. I definitely recommend starting with the more gentle 4% panoxyl first to see how your skin handles it. My morning cleanser is the Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser . This cleanser does exactly what the name states- it’s hydrating without stripping or clogging pores. I love that it doesn’t foam and has no scent. It really makes up for the moisture that I lose with the panoxyl. My skin has stayed clean, shiny and clear ever since I incorporated these two products into my routine ❤️
PanOxyl-Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Maximum Strength
Best Drugstore Multitask product
Can’t say enough good things about this product. Panoxyl is a fragrance free benzoyl peroxide 10% acne wash. This is marketed as a acne face & body wash which I love to use it as. Mostly I use it on my face as a 5 minute mask when I feel congested. I also leave it on my back and chest for 5 minutes while I shave in the shower to take care of those pesky spots. Nows here’s something not everyone knows but I love to use it under my arms on my armpits as a mask as well! Not only does this exfoliate to leave you with a closer shave under there but it also helps with the bacteria that grows and helps it stink less. It would be really good for people to use if they’re switching to natural deodorant to help make the transition easier! The only complaint is this product is drying but what do y expect from an acne treatment.
