A ceramide-packed moisturizer
I love any product with ceramides, so this COSRX - Balancium, Comfort Ceramide Cream, 2.82 oz (80 g) was made for me. It retails for 26$ for a 2.82 oz tube (9.22$ an ounce), and this is free of parabens, artificial fragrance, mineral oil, animal ingredients, and sulfates. The first ingredient on this moisturizer is actually one of my favorites (centella leaf extract water), and that combined with the ceramide NP makes for a soothing and nourishing moisturizer that my dry skin absolutely loves. This is a thicker cream that I think is best suited for dry skin, but I definitely recommend checking it out if this fits your skins needs
🍍 PINEAPPLE EXFOLIATING POWDER - GOOD MOLECULES
I switched most of my skincare products to @goodmolecules and since then, my skin got even better. This exfoliant is a gentle powder made from rice starches, fruit extract and vitamin C that brightens and soften your skin. Affordable, It doesn’t contains nut shell that causes micro-tears. Will definitely buy more. ☀️AM or PM 🌙 up to x4 a week GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder
Dermalogica vs. Good molecules
dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator This exfoliating is good and does the job but the price is way too high and it comes with only that much. It is such a good product but there are cheaper alternatives for this product that work the same if not even better. GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder This exfoliating powder is literally the same if not even better than the Dermalogica one I have noticed the difference and my face feels a lot smoother. I also noticed that I haven’t gotten any dry patches the next day which is good when I used the Dermalogica one I have dry patches the next day ( nothing to crazy just little ones here and there) the reason this gets a four star instead of five is because I really hate the smell of it but it just works so amazing and gentle on my skin. Overall, they are both good products but I would go to the good molecules one because it’s much cheaper and has benefiting and non harmful ingredients.
Wallet friendly GOOD GOODS
GOOD MOLECULES - Squalane Oil is such a great moisturizing face oil, it soaks right in and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy just plump and soft. Also it helps reduce your skin from creating excess sebum. GOOD MOLECULES - Pure Cold-Pressed Rosehip Seed Oil is great for multiple reasons, one being it helps to calm redness, the other being that it has multiple benefits for the skin. This silky oil helps to hydrate skin, treat scars and burns, brightens skin and helps regenerate damaged tissue. These two wonders work great with all skin types, and don't cost much for all the work they do!💖 #CherieConversations #CheriePicks
Good Molecules Cold Pressed Rosehip Seed Oil 🌹
Another one of my favorite skincare ingredients is rosehip seed oil. This oil is perfect for those looking for something anti-aging as it’s going to help fight against fine lines and wrinkles. It also adds a boost of hydration without feeling too greasy on the skin making it perfect for all skin types. At Good Molecules they directly source their ingredients to deliver quality without the crazy mark up. This also allows them to implement fair-trade processes to help provide workers with stable income. #YourGainIsntTheirLoss -Its a natural source of Vitamin C which is an antioxidant known to target sun damage and visible signs of aging -Contains provitamin A to promote cell regeneration Contains essential fatty acids to promote elasticity, support a healthy lipid barrier, and reduce Trans Epidermal Water Loss (the loss of water that passes from inside the body through the skin to the surrounding environment) I usually use this as the last step of my routine right before I apply my moisturizer. For $10 you get .44 fl oz to ensure the product stays fresh on your shelf. I take about 3-4 drops and pat it into my skin. It acts as a dry oil and absorbs immediately into my skin which I love. I feel like those who have oily skin like myself will also love this because you can apply it during the day and not worry about feeling greasy. It is very lightweight and leaves your skin hydrated and with a subtle glow. It also smells faintly like tea which I really like! It’s one of those steps in my routine I look forward to every day. The only ingredient is 100% Chilean rosehip seed oil so you know you’re getting exactly what is promised on the packaging which I applaud. I’ve really been adoring Good Molecules as a brand and their philosophy that good skincare can be achievable at a fair price. I’m absolutely dying to try their cleansing balm and new eye patches. Has anyone else used anything by Good Molecules to recommend? 🖤 /*pr gifted
The prettiest of them all!
Aphrodite, the goddess of love, beauty, and beautiful skin. If Aphrodite was alive today... she would defiantly be addicted to using Hyaluronic acid. My first encounter with Hyaluronic acid was Glossier’s super bounce. I loved it so much that I finished it in less than two weeks. Afterwards it was time to move on to something fresher. Currently I’m trying fourthrays RAINFALL 2% Hyaluronic acid serum. My skin is instantly drenched with hydration, and it definitely delivers plumping benefits for a more bouncy, youthful-looking complexion. Glazed donut skin anyone? Fourth Ray - Rainfall 2% Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Fourth Ray No-Go
One of the most enticing aspects of Fourth Ray Beauty products is that they are 100% vegan and cruelty free. I have discovered some of my all time favorite skincare products from the brand, but their Rainfall 2% Hyaluronic Acid Serum is one that is a miss in my book. The brand advertises Rainfall as a ‘replenishing’ serum that ‘instantly drenches the skin with hydration.’ The product is formulated with a mix of — hyaluronic acid, seaweed sugar, cucumber water, and coconut water. Although it sounds like it would be a moisturizing dream, I found this product to be very underwhelming. It feels perfectly comfortable on the skin, but I wasn’t able to see any results on my skin. At the end of the day it just seems like an extra step to add into your skincajre routine, but not one that is effective.
My Youth to the People Collection
•Adaptogen soothe + hydrate activated mist: a very fine hydrating mist. I use this as a toner and love how it makes my skin look! •Kale + green tea spinach vitamins superfood cleanser: this is my new favorite cleanser! It cleanses my skin without drying it out! •Kombucha + 11% AHA exfoliating power toner: I use this toner every other night and I wake up with such nice bright skin! One of the few toners I feel actually does something. It does apply slightly sticky but when I put all my other products on it goes away. •Adaptogen deep moisture cream: I’ve only tried this out a few time so I don’t have a full opinion yet but it definitely felt lightweight and sunk into my skin nicely. •Superberry hydrate + glow dream mask: this is by far my favorite night mask. It makes my skin so hydrated and glowy. These are all super star products and essentials in my skincare routine! I recommend these products 100%!
Protecting Your Skin
🌼 I have combo skin leaning more dry (probably because I live in Southern California which is essentially a coastal desert and also full of smog and sun so I need all the protection I can get) 🌼 My skin is currently in a pretty good place where it falls more in the normal range but I do still get occasional breakouts and bouts of oiliness and dryness 🌼 Here’s some of my favorite products for protecting my skin: 🌼 Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser: This is a great affordable gel cleanser that’s packed with antioxidants. Anything which Matcha in it is going to be packed with antioxidants. Hemp is also a great ingredient for keeping the skin soothed and hydrated. I like to use this as a morning cleanse or a second evening cleanse. 🌼 Youth to the People Suberberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask: This stuff is magic. It contains Maqui Berry which is actually the most antioxidant rich fruit in the world as well as vitamin C and moisturizing Squalane. I use this at night after my moisturizer and it leaves my skin feeling so soft and bright. My favorite mask of all time. 🌼 Farmacy Very Cherry Bright Serum: This is an awesome vitamin C serum to protect your skin during the day from pollutants, UV rays, blue light, etc. I really like this for my combo skin because it’s a lightweight gel that contains four different types of hyaluronic acid and keeps my skin hydrated and plump but not oily or sticky. I use this every morning after my toners and before oils/moisturizers. 🌼 Purito Green Level Safe Sun: Never forget sunscreen. It’s the absolute most important product you can use to protect your skin. I love this because it’s affordable, lightweight, and doesn’t leave a white cast. I apply this after moisturizer in the mornings (and don’t forget to reapply every 2 hours)
When the hype is real and worth the coin!
Okay y’all, there’s been a lot of products that have had insane hype and they’ve let us down so badly that our wallets are crying too. Milk makeup has been dropping more skincare products and I’ve been tip toeing around making a lil haul. *WELP* they had a sale, so I bought some stuff! Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Cleanser 5/5 it’s a hit, I love it! BUT I only bought the mini version for $15. I will be seeing how long it takes me to run through the mini to decide to pay for the full size ($30) or continue to get the $15 mini. Let’s get into the details of my review. + creamy and thick texture that lathers very quickly. + instantly feels hydrating and very silky on the skin. + skin feels pretty squeaky clean after. + LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY. ( I keep using more than I need to *cries*) + soothing and non irritating for sensitive skin. + pretty fun and dang cute packaging. *CLEAN & VEGAN * fragrance free. - pricey. Mini size $15 for 2oz. $30 for 4oz. Overall this is a great sensitive and gentle cleanser that does not stop the skin or cause any irritation. I’ve been using this for a short time and have noticed more balanced moisture, soft and bright skin. I’ll be repurchasing after I’m done with my mini size.
My Favorite Cream Cleansers
🧼 Cream Cleansers are one of my favorite skincare products to purchase and try out. Why? I don’t know but boy do I love them. I have combo/dry skin and all of these cleansers leave my skin feeling clean and nourished and are lovely to use. (From left to right) 🧼 Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser - Formulated with manuka honey and goat milk this is a great cleanser for soothing and calming irritation. This has a rich, creamy consistency and lathers beautifully on the skin. This is probably my favorite cleanser of all time. 🧼 Holifrog Tashmoo Water Lily Nourishing Milky Wash - This cleanser has a whole slew of barrier strengthening, hydrating and nourishing ingredients such as water lily, lotus flower, panthenol, blue-green algae, apricot kernel oil, sunflower seed oil, sodium PCA...the list just goes on and on. I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever seen such thoughtful ingredients lists in cleansers as I do with Holifrog. This one has a little more slip to it than the Kate Somerville and doesn’t lather quite as much and I LOVE that it comes in a pump. 🧼 Blume Daydreamer Organic Face Wash - This one has a similar consistency to the Holifrog cleanser and again I love that it comes in a pump. This cleanser contains soothing chamomile and antioxidant rich grapefruit extract. 🧼 Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Cleanser - I’ve been reaching for this one the most lately. This is a LOVELY cream cleanser. A rich cream cleanser that lathers nicely and has a good slip to it. This cleanser contains antioxidant rich grapeseed oil and fog milk as well as soothing oat milk and Milk’s patented hydrating Desert Milk.

The hype made me buy this—-
The “Instagram/influencers made me buy this” SON & PARK - Beauty Water beauty water 💧 this was all over my feed when I first started this account. It said to be used as a : . • Cleansing water/ makeup remover — I use it at AM and rinse it off with water. At night, I use it before or after oil/balm cleanser, sometimes after second cleanser just so I’m sure skin’s all clean specially my hairline, neck & ear area. I then apply my toner using a cotton pad. . • Toner, Mist — I can’t bring myself to use it as a toner or mist in between my routine or anytime I want to reapply my sunscreen because it contains hefty amount of EOs, I don’t feel comfortable leaving it on my face Experience: this gives an instant soft, slightly moisturize skin as if I’ve applied a viscous toner. Refreshing, feels cool on skin, takes off dirt, dead skincells, light make up (aka sunscreen, blush, eye make up but not so good with waterproof mascara and liptint stain), doesn’t sting. I did not have any irritation using this as I always wash it off. Didnt see any significant effect on skin too. . . I wanna love it coz she isn’t cheap, loved by many, full size bottle is 350 ml would be great if I could actually use it as a toner/mist, the packaging is ‘instagrammable’ but couldn’t give my full love coz of EOs. It does contain rose water & witch hazel tho plus papaya extract that is good for gentle exfoliation. This cute famous beauty water is something I don’t really need in my routine but I enjoy the short term effect. Fancy stuff, looks good on my vanity. Will not repurchase. Still glad I’ve tried it. If you wanna give this a try & got some extra $$, I think it’s better to get the 60ml bottle first and just see if you can use it even after double cleansing. #sonandpark #sonandparkbeautywater #beautywater

*the beet shield: this is the first sunscreen I’ve ever used and I’m already stocked up after this one runs out. It isn’t oily, it doesn’t leave a cast, and it leaves me with a glow! *matcha hemp cleanser: this cleanser doesn’t leave a tight feeling on my face and hydrates my skin :) it still does the job even when I skip oil cleansing *great barrier relief: anytime I use a new product or overuse a product that breaks me out, this serum is really good at calming my skin down. I can’t layer it with too many things but the purpose is to reset your skin *toner: this toner makes my skin feel really soft. when i first used it it tingled a lot, so I only use it 2 times a week max when I’m not using my mandelic acid. also i only use a little bc using too much hurts my face Through any products I have tried, I’ve always turned back to these and plan on reordering when I run out :)
Krave-Great Barrier Relief
Here’s a round up of a few K Beauty things I’ve been playing with... . ▪️Skin Food Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Toner—A creamy almost emulsion more than toner with propolis, royal jelly, honey, lactobacillus & yeast. I love that it’s not heavily scented but I’m not a huge emulsion style fan so I wasn’t into it ▪️Whamisa Organic Deep Rich Toner—Love this thicker hydrating essence style toner. Aloe, galactomyces, oat kernel, avocado oil, glycerin, peony and broccoli to name a few. This stuff is amazing. This is not my first bottle. Hall of fame ▪️CosRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser—Jelly gel style simple gentle cleanser with a low pH. It’s affordable and a pretty good one. Non-drying and fragrance free. I would totally repurchase ▪️Klairs Supple Preparation Toner—Aloe, sodium hyaluronate, gotu kola, beta-glucan, panthenol & purslane. I liked this one. Got some EOs but they do have a fragrance free version as well ▪️Manyo Factory Galactomyces Special Treatment Essence Cream Rich—I love this brand. They’re pretty clean for k beauty and have a really good range. Easily one of my fav k beauty brands. This cream was so lush I loved it. Sadly it’s taken off the site so it’s either gone or being reformulated. I order direct from their website as they have the full range ▪️CosRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask—I wanted to love this. It’s a gel with propolis (87% antibacterial & anti-inflammatory), sodium hyaluronate & adenosine. It’s light so it’s not the most hydrating sleeping mask I’d probably just use a propolis serum instead and get the same effect ▪️IUINK Centella Calming Gel Cream—A gel cream with soothing gotu kola water & tea tree water. It’s fragrance free which I love. It’s nice and I’ll use it up but I think I’ll just go serum route next time for my gotu kola. Personal preference is all ▪️IUNIK Propolis Vitamin Sleeping Mask—A bit thicker and more of a creamy gel than the CosRX with propolis (16%), sea buckthorn fruit (8%), gotu kola (5%), niacinimide, beta glucan & purslane. This one is more hydrating. Has a bit of that silicone texture. It’s was OK but not my favorite sleeping mask ever
COSRX- Ultimate Moisturizing Honey, Overnight Mask
My quarantine skincare routine - simple and short. But mostly just trying to finish up products before buying anything new 🙃 My routine during this quarantine hasn’t gotten elaborate or anything it’s probably just gotten more simple bc I’ve completely stopped wearing makeup unless I try a bit on here and there. These are some products that I’ve been enjoying and going for a lot lately! ☁️@versed cleanser- this is a great everyday cleanser for any kind of skin! It’s gentle, effective, takes out all the dirt and makeup and feels good on the face when washing. Has a nice light minty smell too! ☁️@versed brightening toner- I have dulll skin die to my hyperpigmentation and acne scarring. This toner instantly gives me brighter loling skin with a glow. I use this almost daily! ☁️@dhcskinare - this is a great oil based cleanser to remove any impurities and makeup. I use this to get out all my makeup and it works great. Even for eyeliner and waterproof mascara. It’s gentle and leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean! ☁️@peachandlily glass skin serum - still continuing my daily use with this serum. The biggest difference in seeing with this serum at this point (3 weeks of use) is my pores look less visible and acne has calmed down ☁️@herbivorebotanicals pink cloud moisturizer - I’m almost out of this one.... but I’ve been using this one daily for the past month and it’s just a great everyday moisturizer for any kind of skin. It smells lovely too ☁️@ohiibeauty get fresh toner pad (brighten) - this was a random buy! These are great of your feeling too lazy to wash your face 🙋🏻♀️, for on-the-go, take to the gym etc. easy and convenient and they do a good job of cleaning and exfoliating your skin. Just use moisturizer after!

My Current Skincare Routine!
Howdy everybody! I’m Carl, and this is my current skincare routine. Some of these products I’ve bought myself, others are gifts (like the SkinActive Soothing Kit by Garnier). Some products are kinda old, like the Neutrogena - Alcohol Free Toner . Only so much of it is left, and though I liked it and it worked well I’m going to be using the HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Tonersoon! My newest product is the ACURE - Brightening Super Greens Serum which I adore right now! I’m hoping to use the GLOBAL BEAUTY CARE - Cucumber Hydrogel Face Masksome time soon. All in all these products have been very helpful and I recommend them (especially the GARNIER - SkinActive Soothing 3-in-1 Face Moisturizer with Rose Water ) to any of you who have dry skin and need that extra moisture every day! Hopefully by the end of quarantine (whenever that is) my skin will be amazing! 🥰
