Supergoop! - Play Lip Balm SPF 30 with AcaiI am obsessed with the Supergoop Glow Stick so I have love for the entire brand. I am obsessed with lip products and I have been compulsively buying lip products from multiple brands just to test them all. Anything to keep spirits high during quarantine am I right? ☀️ innisfree - Jeju Cherry Blossom Dewy Glow Jelly Cream Gel creams are an oily girls dream! This product reminds me a lot of the SATURDAY SKIN - Waterfall Glacier Water Cream

Let’s talk eye creams!
Eye creams are made to target concerns (dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, etc.) around the eye area, which is very sensitive. They are not necessary to a skincare routine but if you struggle with any of these issues, it can help. Here are some of my favorites (all under $30) and what they can help with. >$10 THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream (Brightens dark circles) $10-$20 REVOLUTION - Targeted Under Eye Serum 5% Caffeine (Brightens dark circles) PACIfICA - Vegan Collagen Recovery Eye Cream (Brightens dark circles, hydrates) Sweet CHEF - Turmeric + Vitamin C Booster Eye Cream (Brightens, hydrates) florence by mills - Look Alive Eye Balm (Brightens, reduces puffiness, hydrates) My personal fave :) $20-$30 NATURIUM - Retinol Complex Cream Retinol is best for severe fine lines but if you are going to use it, please make sure to keep your under eyes hydrated because it can be a little drying. HONEST - Honestly Bright Eyes Tinted Eye Cream (Hydrates while also covering dark circles)
Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines pt. 1
Hey y’all! In today’s post I’ll be reviewing my followers skincare routines! I went through some of y’all’s accounts in search of some routines, then messaged everyone to make sure they were okay with me using their routines in this post! This is only pt. 1 because this post got wayyy to long to include everyone at once! Let me start by saying I’m not an esthetician or dermatologist, nor have I ever claimed to be. I am just a fellow skincare lover who knows a lot about ingredients in skincare. We’re starting off with @Chloe_McRae. Sometimes she decides to double cleanse, and when she does she starts with the#Holifrog - Kissimmee Vitamin F Therapy Balmy Wash[products]#[FourStars] which is $42 for 2.5 fl oz. This has a ton of great hydrating oils, as well as Vitamin F, which is great for helping cell turnover. I would say it’s a great first cleanse for those with dry skin. Next she uses theDRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample which is $32. I would say this is a good cleanser. The cleansing agents are gentle and non stripping, and it also has glycerin which is hydrating, and cantaloupe fruit extract which is a hydrating extract full of antioxidants. Other than that, this is a pretty basic cleanser. Next she uses the HERBIVORE - Prism 20% AHA + 5% BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial l which is $58. Because the name is confusing, it’s a gel face mask. This stuff looks gorgeous and the ingredients are too. Along with AHA and BHA, it has aloe and rose water which help your skin to retain moisture. I don’t think it’s worth $58, but it’s pretty good. Next is the PEACH & LILY - Wild Dew Treatment Essence which is $39 for 3.38 fl oz. This essence has glycerin, Nicinamide, and Hylaronic acid. For $39 I expected a lot more. In general, essence is less effective than a serum, so this seems a little expensive for what you get. Then comes theDRUNK ELEPHANT - Sweet Biome Fermented Sake Hydrating Spray which is $42. Yes, $42 for a face mist. Now looking at the ingredients this has glycerin and a small amount of Hylaronic acid. The rest of the ingredients are extracts. Thankfully there isn’t fragrance, but this is a no because it’s so expensive. And finally is the COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid which is $24. Really this has some Willow water and Nicinamide and that’s it. Okay I freaked out at this point. Nowhere in this routine is sunscreen or moisturizer!!! Nooooo!! We need less acids and more of the basics. Overall I’d say this routine has too many steps. I think you could simplify down to a double cleanse, a cheap but good serum with Hylaronic acid and Nicinamide which seem to be the ingredients that work well for your skin, and the a moisturizer and some spf. Our next routine comes from @WillWorkforMascara. She starts her routine with theCeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin w is $17. This product is great for oily skin, which she has. It has glycerin, nicinamide, and Hylaronic acid so it’s super hydrating. Next she usesThe Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution witch is $8.70. Along with glycolic acid, it has aloe vera water and glycerin. Some people think it’s overly stripping, but for oily skin its great. Now this is where this routine becomes international. She goes in with theMUJI - Boosting Essence Lotion which is $7 for 50 ml. This essence has aloe vera juice and glycerin. It does have quite a bit of fragrance though which makes it a no from me. Next she goes in with the#Pearlessence - Argan Oil + Vitamin E facial oil[products]#[ThreeStars] which is $11.89 for 1.83 fl oz. This product has two ingredients. Vitamin E and Argan oil. Now this is where we really go international. #Human Nature - Sunflower Eye Cream[products]#[TwoStars] and found out that 295 Cuban Peso is $12.29. Now as for the ingredients this eye cream has sunflower oil and glycerin. And fragrance. Fragrance can especially be irritating around the eye area so this is another no. Instead try some thing likeTHE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream She also uses a eyebrow and eyelash oil called Peach Thy Lash which is 150 Cuban Peso or $6.25. I don’t know anything about this kind of product so I can’t really say if it works. And finally is theLANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask which is $22. This mask has Vitamin C, Hylaronic acid, and glycerin. It seems good to me, but this sort of product is more about the experience, and I haven’t tried it. Again! We need moisturizer and sunscreen! This one also has too many steps so let’s simplify it to cleanser, toner, moisturizer, sunscreen, eyelash oil, and lip mask. Unfortunately this post would be super long if I included everyone, so look out for pt. 2 coming soon! Please cheer for this post if you liked it, comment below your holy grail skincare products, and follow me to join the family and for similar content! -Mae

FA safe - using as night cream
Kiehl's - Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream This cream has a strong fragrance but I do like the smell!! It has no fungal acne triggers 💕 I was wearing this cream in the AM and PM but it’s kinda thick compared to the cream I usually wear which is innisfree - Jeju Cherry Blossom Dewy Glow Jelly Cream So I’m going to use it as a night face cream! It makes my skin feel silky smooth and hasn’t caused any breakouts 🥳 Has the ingredient - Propylene Glycol - which helps fight fungal acne breakouts + Panthenol which helps heal and is anti-inflammatory 🙌🏼 ^ I get my ingredient info from www.folliculitisscout.com
How I fixed my skin 😇
So I know my skin still isn’t perfect (is anyone’s skin perfect tho??) but it looks a lot better!!!! I went to many dermatologists who never told me I had fungal acne 😒 they always recommended creams and stuff that just dried out my skin more but didn’t help! So one day I googled “it feels like there are rocks in my skin” and I figured out that i had fungal acne 😝 I didn’t even know there were different types of acne!! Right away I started using Nizoral - Anti Dandruff Shampoo which helped a lot but didn’t solve the problem Then recently I learnt about a website you can use to test ingredients to see if they are fungal acne safe! Website: folliculitisscout.com I tested all my skin care and gave my mom any products that had triggers! I SWITCHED UP MY ENTIRE SKIN CARE ROUTINE and it was worth it 🙌🏼 I used that website ^ to help me find the right products for my skin which I posted in the photos! I’ve also reviewed them all in individual posts! 🥳 I hope this helps somebody 🥰 I’ve had bad skin since I was like 12 years old and now I’m 22 and just learnt how to fix it! Also my last post was about a homemade mask I made with just honey and oat flour and my skin has been feeling amazing because of it so I also recommend trying that 💖

Lips need loving too 👄✨
I always make sure to wash my face and use the best products for my skin. Applying spf and making sure I can look my best. As for makeup I love using light tints or a foundation that won’t clog pores. We do the best to take care of our skin and sometimes we forget about lips. A bit of lip balm and we think we’re done. Ive started paying attention to the quality of my lips and making sure they’re moisturized all the time. These are my fave lips scrubs plus oil and spf. ✨lips need spf too! ✨ The seraphine botanicals daikon + dreams lip exfoliator smells like a dream. It smells like a very light strawberry candy. It’s pink and I take the tiniest bit and smooth it on my lips. I like to do this in circular motions as to not tug and pull on my lips. I rinse with cold water. This leaves my lips really soft! SERAPHINE botanicals - Daikon + Dreams Lip Exfoliator With Radish Extract OR The colourpop lippie scrub in squeeze the day is super cute. I love that the color of this is yellow but not super bright. It doesn’t have a strong scent, kinda like sugar but very faint. I do the same with this, take a bit in my finger and use circular motions to remove excess skin. COLOURPOP - Colourpop Lippie Scrub I love using my fourth ray beauty glow up oil after exfoliating. I take one drop, no more than that and gently pat it on my lips. If I use too much it’ll look super oily and won’t absorb into the lips. While the oil is absorbing I do my skincare to give it a few min. Fourth Ray - Glow Up Face Oil Last but definitely not least I take my supergoop lip balm with spf 30 and pat it onto my lips. This tube is squeezable so I don’t have to use my fingers. Supergoop! - Play Lip Balm SPF 30 with Acai
Recently got the cutest lip mask from Tatcha !!!! I am a ride or die LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask user but mine finally started running out so I thought I would try something new! How can you resist this little guy! So cute! The Laneige Mask is more of a thick creamy consistency and this one is like jelly. It reminds me of me of jelly lip gloss from my childhood. But unlike those sticky cheap jelly glosses from my past, this one is super soothing and non sticky. It is lighter than the Laneige one so I find myself reaching for it during the day for lasting moisture but also using it for overnight. I am v v sad that it’s almost finished will probably repurchase but I am also testing out some other lip products like the SUMMER FRIDAYS - Lip Butter Balmand innisfree - My Lip Balm,Mint Earl Grey and the Supergoop! - Play Lip Balm SPF 30 with Acai

My biggest skincare goals right now are focused on texture and hydration. I find it can be challenging to find a routine that is balanced in exfoliants and hydrating/ calming products. I’ve tried to rush my skin into results and it never works, and while I wouldn’t consider this my “holy grail routine” it’s something that’s working for me right now to target specifically texture, without drying out my skin. Here’s what I’m using, and why I love it! 1st cleanse: EARTH HARBOR - Sunshine Dew Antioxidant Cleansing Oil a heavenly smelling, effective oil cleanser that gently removes any sunscreen, makeup, or gunk from the day. 2nd Cleanse: CLARISMA - Cool Ocean Breeze Daily Cleanser this cleanser has really been the driver in retexuring my skin, the fruit enzymes in this cleanser are gentle exfoliants that didn’t give the dead skin cells on my face a chance! It really brightened and purified my skin. Serum: #Intoxicated Cosmetics - Snail Venom Serum[products]#[FiveStars] I just did a results post of this serum, and was amazed and how effective this serum was! Check out the post, you gotta see it to believe it 😉 Eye Cream: FARMACY - Cheer Up Brightening Vitamin C Eye Cream with Acerola Cherry I like this eye cream, nice texture and good brightening results! I’ve enjoyed using this eye cream but will probably go back to BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream when this pot is finished. Treatment: HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum I love this natural retinol alternative! I’ve been nervous to integrate a retinol into my routine so I’ve been happy to use this alternative as a placeholder. Great hydrating and plumping qualities! Moisturizer: SATURDAY SKIN - Waterfall Glacier Water Cream love the bouncy gel texture of this cream. I like that it’s a little bit cooling upon application, calms my skin and makes me feel ready to catch some zzZZzzZ’s. If my skins feeling really dry I’ll add 1-2 drops of HERBIVORE - Emerald CBD + Adaptogens Deep Moisture Glow Oil to my moisturizers, this oil is amazing for hydrating, calming and reducing redness! And of course lip care! I always slather on a nice coating of SUMMER FRIDAYS - Lip Butter Balm before bed, smells amazing and gives my lips a nice drink! Helps me wake up with soft, hydrated lips. I also have been rotating these three masks and using each once per week! LATHER - Honey Moisture Mask with Propolis Extract : For deep hydration, and soothing dermatitis flare ups. HERBIVORE - Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask : For resurfacing. I only use this for 8-10mins at a time right now to ensure I’m not over exfoliating or over-drying my skin ORIGINS - Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores : For pores, T-zone only!

I love Fresh Beauty and the Bl
I love Fresh Beauty and the Black Tea line is one of my favorites from the brand. One of the most recent additions to the Black Tea line is the Black Tea Firming Eye Serum. First off I love the packaging of this. It’s a nice deep bronze glass pump. The serum has a nice thin gel hydrating texture with a nice slip. It sinks right in and leaves behind a nice moisture barrier. I like to apply my eye serums right after cleansing and toning before any other layers or skincare serums. The idea is that you’re allowing the product designed for the eye area to work in it’s designated spot. If you apply it after five layers of serums & creams then the targeted eye treatment may not do all it’s supposed to. Mostly because it’s sitting on top of all those layers. I try to also apply my eye creams before other layers after my eye serum has set in I do find this has made a difference for me in how effective an eye product is. I learned this from Caroline Hirons and it’s good practical advice. Now we all mess up ‘routine order’ and I still forget all the time and reach for that hydrating one first. We’re all human. It’s just good advice to try it. Especially if you find that your eye cream is not doing what you want it to This eye serum has a black tea complex which is rich in antioxidants and helps firm the skin. Goji fruit is also similar in action to the black tea. This also has hydrators like glycerin, jojoba oil esters & coconut glycerides plus vitamin E, lychee fruit extract and blackberry leaf extract. The peptide Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5 has soothing, calming, hydrating and firming benefits I loved the plump and firm feeling this gave my eye area while using. It really does help with firming. Actually writing this makes me want to pull it out again. It was definitely an eye serum I would repurchase for hydration & firming.

Before and after for two weeks
Before and after for two weeks of using the mini sample pack. I am done with some of my morning samples and I can definitely see a good difference in my skin without any new break outs and more glow. I would love to love these products but the whole line costs more than $600 and they smell so bad. I am working to replace the routine with other products that smell better but have similar properties. I will see what I can dupe while keeping the benefits.

Eyes are quite possibly the mo
Eyes are quite possibly the most important features on your face, and are likely the first features to really show your age! 🙈 For that reason, the eye area might just be what we should be really focusing on in terms of skincare (something that alot of us, including myself, probably neglected for a good portion of our moisturizing-lives). It’s important to use a different moisturizer for your eye area than you face to avoid the formation of milia- little bumps on the skin caused by using too thick of a formula. . I now take extra good care of my eyes with the consistent use of three products (😱😱) Vichy liftactiv eye serum, with peptides from the silver birch tree for anti-aging properties, also equipped with lash fortifying ingredients (decreases lash fall-out, helping your lashes grow longer!), so you can even rub this onto your lashes! For me, the lash enhancements in the serum were especially noticeable post-lash extension Origins ginseng refreshing eye cream, to brighten the area, especially useful in the morning Clarins extra firming, wrinkle smoothing eye cream, for that extra anti aging benefits- with peptides and hyaluronic acid for plumping and hydration. I use this at night, and the Origins in the morning, and the Vichy serum underneath either one (either night or day or both, depending on what I have time for). So far loving this combo ❤️❤️

Today’s post is to show you my HG eye cream by my favourite brand Drunk Elephant . Not only my HG though. Anyone who has this or I’ve recommended this to has said it’s the BEST. My cousin who will literally buy blindly what I tell her to says she cannot ever tell if a product is working or not so just takes my word for it - except for c-tango. She told me she has seen a major difference in the dark circles under her eyes, fine lines, hydration and overall texture, as have I. This eye cream somehow fills the thinning skin around my eyes. I've always had dark circles (unfortunately a hereditary thing) but this has actually lightened my under eye area. It’s a gorgeous thick consistency and balm-like, almost like Protini if you have tried it. . ◽️ What's in it? ➰ Peptides ➰ Ceramides ➰ Cucumber extract . ➰ Plant oils ➰ Five sources of vitamin c ▫️ When to use: Morning and Night after cleansing (before your serum + moisturiser) The eye cream goes on first, to work it’s magic. . ▫️ C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream costs £54
Lip Care is Skincare Too! 💕 $8 Dupe
Lip Care is Skincare Too! 💕 $8 Dupe
Lip care is definitely an important part of any skincare routine! For the longest time I was a big fan of the Fresh Lip Treatments but they were very expensive! One day I found the Physicans Formula Lip Treatment and noticed it felt very very similar to the Fresh one! Then magically it disappeared off the market for a few years and now it’s finally back! The fresh - Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment retails for $26 for .15oz of product (I have a mini above). They claim it hydrates your lips for up to 24 hours and smooths they looks of wrinkles. The lip balm is really smooth and coats your lips in the product. Personally, I like heavier lip balms that I can feel on my lips and this gives you that results. I wouldn’t say it lasts 24 hours but I don’t find myself needing to reapply it throughout the day. The only thing I don’t like about this lip balm is the product melts really easily. As you can see from my picture it can get misshapen pretty easily and eventually it gets to a point where it becomes hard to apply and breaks off in the tube so you have to be careful or else you’ll pull the whole thing out. The PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Organic Wear Lip Treatment retails for $8.49 for .15 oz of product. They claim that it hydrates, condition, and smooth the lips for a supple pout. Like Fresh it smooths over the lips and coats it beautifully. To me they feel exactly the same on the lips. It’s very nourishing and creamy. The difference with this one is it keeps its shape a lot better. I also don’t have the problem of it breaking off in the tube. Both products feel exactly the same on the lips and even have the same component which I found interesting. I personally like the packaging of Fresh better as it looks sleeker and the wrapper is showing wear and tear on my Physicans Formula but I like the formula of the Physicans Formula better. They both contain jojoba oil and beeswax but that seems to be about the only similarity ingredients wise. I also don’t detect a scent from either. I 100% stand by these as dupes though because they preform and feel the same on the lips (though I prefer the Physicans Formula). For $8 I would 100% recommend everyone pick this up. It’s like the Fresh formula but with all the kinks worked out. I use both of these in the morning and night time.
