Love at first scoop
This moisturizer is bomb 💣. I used it for 2 days now and I am obsessed. I’ve never seen a moisturizer just glide onto my skin and instantly I feel plump, smooth and recharged. It also calmed down any irritation and made my skin so calm. It’s a CBD infused moisturizer which helps maintain the acid mantle. What is the Acid Mantle? The acid mantle is a protective barrier produced by healthy skin that serves as a defense to block bacteria and other contaminants. Your acid mantle can be damaged by over cleansing, over exfoliation and the use of harsh acids (via Lord Jones website). What’s in it: ceramides cbd oil sunflower seed oil hyaluronic acid squalane LORD JONES - Acid Mantle Repair CBD Moisturizer So far my skin has been so calm and soft. It looks so dewy and refreshed. I will keep using this just because I love the way it feels! Have you tried CBD products for your skin?
Trending Ingredients: The (Mostly) Legit Ones!
Some trendy ingredients launch into understandable “cult” status thanks to their grounding in research. Some are known for their benefits in other medical fields but are still substantiating their clinical efficacy in topical dermatology. But these three are my favourite “trendy” ingredients, with some example products included! My Skin: Combo, Sensitive; Acne, Eczema. Niacinamide is so popular now that you can’t scroll without seeing mention of vitamin B3! At lower %, it’s an effective humectant and antioxidant that offers anti-inflammatory benefits for sensitive and/or irritated skin. At 4-5%+, niacinamide controls sebum (oil) production, minimizes pores, and has been (clinically) found to reduce acne. If the common 10% is too strong for you, dilute it 1:1 in another serum! THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum $6.99 per 30mL, $0.23 per 1mL. The Inkey List produces my favourite budget niacinamide, beating fellow budget brands the Ordinary and Naturium. It forgoes potentially-irritating zinc pca to opt for a cocktail of humectants and allantoin to create a hydrating, soothing serum that fits into almost any routine. CBD stands for Cannabidiol. It relies heavily on trend and assumptions, as transdermal benefit doesn’t necessarily translate to topical. But CBD has promise in its anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant potential, an appealing premise for use with sensitive skin and/or skin conditions like eczema and rosacea. LORD JONES - Acid Mantle Repair CBD Moisturizer $75 per 50mL, $1.50 per 1mL. Each jar contains 250mg of CBD, so each mL should contain about 5mg of CBD. Is that enough to do much? Not sure, but as a sufferer of eczema, I opted to try this moisturizer on the cusp of a flare-up and was happy to see that it delivered on its claims of soothing! That may be simply because it’s a hardcore moisturizer, offering a heavy texture that’s lusciously rich and almost balm-like. Mixing five ceramides, sunflower oil, squalane, cholesterol, and humectants make this a delightful moisturizer for those with dry or normal skin! Retinol is a retinoid and is probably second only to Differin in clinically-backed OTC anti-aging treatments... it’s more of a re-emerging favourite than a trend! Retinoids help to increase cellular turnover and modulate keratinization, offering longer-term anti-aging results with some folks experiencing reduced acne breakouts! DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream $74 per 30mL, $2.47 per 1mL. This silky yellow cream has a medicinal smell and is known for packing a punch. 1% Retinol pairs with carotenoids, peptides, antioxidants, fatty acids, and moisturizing oils to create a thin cream that soaks in quickly. I experienced dryness and some irritation, but can’t lie that I did also find my skin a bit smoother and tone more even. It stands on equal footing to the Ordinary’s Retinol 1% but is more cosmetically elegant. #CheriePartner

Pretty in pink!
This toning lotion actually really surprised me. I had a bad experience with another Sisley product but this one turned out to be really nice. It is used to remove traces of makeup and cleanses the skin. It’s refreshing and soothing and helps other products absorb easier after use. What’s in it: rose (refreshes and softens) cornflower (soothes) witch hazel (tones) sisley - FLORAL TONING LOTION I like this because it leaves the skin so soft and hydrated after using. It doesn’t make your skin feel stripped and it balances the PH nicely. It also smells really nice and natural. It doesn’t smell artificial. I have been using this bottle for almost a year now. It lasts a really long time. I have not had any reactions to using this and after each use my face never feels tight! Any toners you would suggest?
Trust me! Once you try them, you will love them!😍
Recenetly I'm looking for some high-end products that suit for me. One of my friend recommended several Sisley products to me and now I can't wait to share my thoughts to you!!! Your skin becomes dry when your stratum corneum contains less than 10% water, butsisley - Ecological Compound can easily penetrate the skin when patted on gently, keeping it hydrated instantly. It has a light refreshing and soothing herbal scent, as well as a really fine and delicate texture with a runny consistency, so it spreads easily and is instantly absorbed by the skin. Besides that, it also blocks out bacteria and dust in the air, and blocks the penetration of UV rays, protecting the skin from external factors. sisley - FLORAL TONING LOTION This toning lotion is really effective at calming and repairing the skin, soothing my skin irritation almost instantly and visibly appeasing my skin redness, eventually getting rid of it altogether. I've used similar products before, but they don't work as quickly as the Sisley Toning Lotion. Although it looks refreshing, it's actually amazingly moisturizing and after using it, you can even skip using a moisturizer. Both Sisley's Ecological Compound and Floral Toning Lotion are worth repurchasing. I think they are suitable for all skin types. What else products of Sisley have you tried before? Let me know your thoughts👇

Naturium: Affordable, Well-Rounded Formulas!
Naturium marries biologically-optimal ingredients with aesthetic, minimalist packaging. They’re a step above The Ordinary minimalism while forgoing random filler ingredients like fragrance and essential oils, managing to be both affordable and well-rounded! • NATURIUM - Quadruple Hyaluronic Acid Serum 5% A thin, silky serum that absorbs quickly. It’s loaded with humectants, emollients, and a few antioxidants, making it deeply hydrating. I use it mainly to dilute other products for my sensitive skin, but dehydrated skin would looovee this for twice daily use. Repurchase? No, I tend to use multiple serums, so I don’t need a specifically hydrating one. • NATURIUM - BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% Encapsulated salicylic acid + humectants = a hydrating exfoliant that helps with pore size and mild acne. Its lightweight texture is perfect for any skin type, except sensitive skin which may have issues with its citrus extracts. Repurchase? No, for fear of my eczema flaring with long-term use 🙈 • NATURIUM - Hyaluronic Acid Essence 2% Watery? Yup. Hydrating? Very. Sticky? Not at all! Apply to damp skin for instant hydration- I plan to put mine in a spray bottle soon! I do think the humectant-packed formula would be too simple if it wasn’t such a steal at $16 for 170mL. Plus, it does include soothing beta-glucan, making it perfect for any skin type. Repurchase? Probably not, as I use a lot of hydrating serums. • NATURIUM - Niacinamide Gel Cream 5% This gel is thicc, thanks to a few silicones and other polymers. It includes antioxidants and humectants to complement the star- niacinamide! B3 is popular for controlling sebum production, minimizing pore appearance, reducing acne, and its antioxidant status. This gel-cream is great for normal, oily, and acne prone skin! I mix it with oil for my drier skin. Repurchase? Yes! It’s perfect for layering over my serums in summer. • *NATURIUM - Intense Overnight Sleeping Cream Thick, bouncy, and spreadable, its humectants, emollients, lipids, and antioxidant extracts leave skin soft and seal in hydration without clogging my pores. Dry skin, layer it over a lightweight moisturizer for plump skin by AM. Oily skin, apply right on top of serums for satin skin when you wake up! Repurchase? Yes! This is such a winter staple for me now, it performs like a balm, but with a better texture. • *NATURIUM - Plant Ceramide Rich Moisture Cream Emollients, humectants, ceramides, fatty acids, antioxidants... This buttery cream is a great winter moisturizer or PM moisturizer for normal and combo skin, or AM + PM for dry skin. Oily skin, I’d avoid its rich formula. Repurchase? If I didn’t have a million moisturizers to test and review, yes! This is affordable and a lovely PM moisturizer. Before and After HALLOWEEN Skincare Tips 🎃💀👻
I love Halloween with the costumes, the treats, and scary movies. What's not to love. Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in the fun we can forget about our activities of daily living. So I just wanted to give you guys some tips on how to get through today!!! Before putting on your Halloween makeup remember to exfoliate, hydrate and prime your skin. Healthy nourished skin is the best base for any makeup routine. You can exfoliate and hydrate with one of my favorite masks dear, klairs - Youthful Glow Sugar Mask if you want a hydrating primer my go to is BOBBI BROWN - Vitamin Enriched Face Base Priming Moisturizer After dancing the night away in layers of makeup or walking the neighborhood with a scary mask on your face you will need to double cleanse. The best way to break down that makeup and dirt is with an oil cleanser. My favorites are BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Nourishing and I just tried FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm omg this stuff really breaks down makeup. Then follow up with a gel cleanser to really get in your pores and get the dirt out. I personally like NATURIUM - Mixed Greens Nutrient-Rich Cleanser they are launching a Niacinamide gel cleanser Nov 1 I'm excited to try it. After cleansing you can rehydrate your skin with a nourishing mask like I'm from - Honey Mask or TONYMOLY - I'm Real Aloe Mask Sheet both masks keep my skin plump and hydrated. Throw in a hydrating essence NATURIUM - Hyaluronic Acid Essence 2% or hydrating toner like I'm from - Rice Toner Skip the actives and finish with a hydrating moisturizer like FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer Don't forget to hydrate. Water helps flush out those toxins, the candy and/or the alcohol. 😜 Water will help give your skin that healthy glow!!! If the makeup has left your skin irritated you can try adding some serums like Krave - Great Barrier Relief or epicuren DISCOVERY - Aloe Vera Calming Gel to your routine both calm irritated skin. The Krave serum will help soothe your skin while repairing your skins barrier. The Epicuren gel has green tea and camomile which a great anti inflammatory agents. What are your Halloween plans?? Are you still dressing up are you still participating in Halloween activities?? Hope these tips help!!!

Got Dark Spots?! These Are My Fav Ingredients 💯
I struggle a lot with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation! I always get dark spots post breakouts. Once I started focusing on brightening my skin, it was a game changer! My complexion began to look so much more even and less spotty. These are my favorite brightening Ingredients that faded my dark spots! 💫 AHA's AHA's like lactic, mandelic, & especially glycolic acid all work by urging along your skins natural shedding process. It speeds up cell turnover to fade spots, brighten, & even skin. It also helps with skin texture and pores. But AHAs can be irritating, especially at higher percentages so it's important to do your research before buying a product. If you're new to exfoliating acids, I'd start with a gentle formulation. VITAMIN C Vitamin C has been shown to impede melanin production, which help fade dark spots & lead to a more even-toned complexion. It's also a great antioxidant & has MANY other anti-aging and skin smoothing benefits. And it can be used daily, which overtime will result in a dramatic change in your skin! NIACINAMIDE This is a powerhouse ingredient that can be used by almost anyone! To get a full run-down on niacinamide, PLEASE check out my post on it! Like Vitamin C, It also helps to slow down the production of Melanin & lighten dark patches. But it's less likely to be as irritating, and has more benefits and faster results. Especially for acne-prone skin. HYDROQUINONE Hydroquinone is a controversial ingredient, but has been found as the most effective ingredient for evening out your skin tone & fading dark spots. If formulated right, (which most hydroquinone products in the U.S are) then it's safe and super effective. Hydroquinone, again helps limit skin from creating an excess amount of melanin. The strongest you can get it over the counter is 2%, but prescription it's commonly 4% or even higher. ALPHA ARBUTIN Alpha Arbutin's sole purpose is skin lightening. It's a skin whitener, often used as an gentler alternative for hydroquinone. And It reduces melanin formation, improving the appearance of discoloration. I'm new to this ingredient, but I love it! Alpha Arbutin also pairs GREAT with Vitamin C, and Niacinamide for maximum brightening effects. RETINOL Retinoid is a popular, multi-tasking ingredient that works by prompting surface skin cells to turn over & die, making way for new skin cells. And it curbs the production of Melanin. It's one of the most researched ingredients on the market, and has great benefits for aging, and even acne prone skin. You also want to start at a low concentration of retinol, because it can be irritating and drying. AZELAIC ACID Azelaic acid is an underrated ingredient. It gently works wonders on hyperpigmentation & acne prone skin. It targets certain pigment production, & fades dark spots without lightening the normal skin tone. It does this by targeting melanin. AND it's safe during pregnancy! Side note: NONE OF THESE WILL WORK WELL IF YOU DONT USE SUNSCREEN ⚠️❗
Ingredient Spotlight: Niacinamide 🌿
You've probably heard of this powerhouse ingredient due to its growth in popularity over the past few years. And it's not surprising why! This skin-perfecting ingredient deserves to be in the spotlight because of its versatility for almost any skin type or concern. So what is Niacinamide? ⭐ Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3, and is also known as nicotinamide. It's also found in foods, dietary supplements and medication. It's a water- soluble vitamin that naturally works with your skin without damaging it. Niacinamide can help build proteins in the skin and lock in moisture to prevent environmental damage. Benifits of Niacinamide ⭐ Niacinamide has a long list of benifits for your skin. It can be used by almost anyone to help treat just about any skincare condition. Of course, always do your research or consult a dermatologist before introducing new ingredients, especially if you have a serious condition or are under medication. Niacinamide... - Helps build skin immunity & strengthen lipid barrier - Minimizes blotchiness & redness - Anti-inflamatory - Minimizes the appearance of pores - Regulates oil production - Protects against sun damage - Skin brightener- treats against hyperpigmentation & dull skin - Fights against toxins & environmental stressors - Treats acne & textured/orange peel skin And let me tell you... niacinamide does ALL of these things for my skin. It strengthened my skin barrier, rebalanced, and resurfaced my skin from the start. And got rid of so many little bumps and clogged pores on my forehead. It helps balance my complexion, and calm down my acne. And works and regulates my oil production throughout the day...and also brightens my post acne dark spots. My fine lines on my forehead also started to fade away after consistently using niacinamide. How to use Niacinamide ⭐ What I love about niacinamide is that you can use it every day. Even twice a day if you please. In fact, your skin might already have built up a bit of tolerance for it, because it's an ingredient found in probably most of your skincare already. Just at a smaller quantity. You can also combine niacinamide with almost any other ingredient. In some instances it can even boost the effectiveness of that other ingredient! Niacinamide MAY cause purging with some people, but not all. It didn't with me. You can most commonly find high %'s of niacinamide in a serum form, often combined with Zinc for acne, or different skin brighteners. It's also in a multitude of creams/moisturizers, toners and masks. I'm telling you... you can find it anywhere
DO YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CBD AND HEMP OIL?
In this plant-upbeat world we live in, you can find people slathering cannabidiol or CBD on muscles to diminish irritation, applying it to skin to alleviate aggravation, and dropping it into every day water for stress help. In reasonableness, not many have thought about the contrast between hemp oil versus CBD oil, and as it occurs, there's a major one.
