The oil that does everything!! GAME CHANGING
Jojoba is a shrub that grows in dry regions of northern Mexico and the southwestern US. Jojoba oil and wax are produced from the seeds and used for medicine. Jojoba is applied directly to the skin for acne, psoriasis, sunburn, and chapped skin.
Jojoba oil has a variety of healing properties that may make it effective in treating skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis. You can enjoy its benefits by using it as a cleanser, moisturizer, or spot treatment. It can typically be used anywhere on your body, including your face, without being diluted.
Although jojoba oil is a botanical substance, its makeup is so similar to the oil (sebum) your body naturally produces that your skin can’t tell the difference. This makes it less likely to build up on your skin and clog your pores, leading to fewer breakouts and less severe acne.
Jojoba oil has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Topical application may help relieve dryness, flaking, itching, and related symptoms.People who have inflammatory skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema may find jojoba oil especially beneficial.
Jojoba oil has an oily composition, so it can be used as a moisturizer. It can also be added to hair conditioners to give you added protection against dryness, breakage, and split ends. The oil can also moisturize the scalp and may be a dandruff remedy. Jojoba is rich in vitamins and minerals that nourish hair, including vitamin C, B vitamins, vitamin E, copper, and zinc. Because it strengthens hair, it is also thought that jojoba oil can prevent hair loss and promote hair thickness. The idea behind this is that the oil moisturizes hair follicles, which prevents dryness that leads to hair loss. ✨This really is the wonder oil you have been missing out on- Amazon sells it for a vet affordable price!! Updated Skincare Routine— Hydrated Glow!
Hi all! I’ve been super busy moving houses and so I haven’t been able to try very many new products lately, instead I’ve been sticking to my tried and true products and routine for the last few weeks. And honestly? My skin couldn’t be happier. It’s been smooth and hydrated with minimized breakouts, and no eczema patches. These are my top tips/products for hydrated and glowing complexion regardless of skin tone! ✨Dry Skin? Morning cleansing isn’t always necessary! I’ve been skipping my morning cleanse due to the dry weather where I’m living and my tightness and redness has been drastically reduced, along with my eczema! Instead I just wipe excess oil off with a cotton round and apply SPF as usual. Use a non stripping cleanser when you do wash, to avoid that tight feeling. Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser my absolute favorite, with hydrators in the formula it’s never stripping and I love it doesnt foam CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser best drug store face wash by far! It’s always sold out, and a go-to for many with dry skin! FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser is my winter go to when my face is chapped ✨Don’t dry skin after cleansing. Wait until it’s damp and then apply your toner/serums. This will help lock extra moisture in along with increasing permeability of your products so they work more efficiently ✨Use an occclusive at night! This will lock in all of your products and keep the moisture from seeping out of your skin and into your pillow. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask has added antioxidants to wake up with an even and glowing complexion (and it’s my favorite scent ever) CeraVe - Healing Ointment is coupled with ceramides to heal and strengthen skin and is perfect for those with dermatitis/raw red skin Leven Rose - Jojoba Oil oils can also act as occlusives if you add an extra drop at night, and are a pure and natural way to introduce hydration and various vitamins and antioxidants Glossier. - Moisturizing Moon Mask i also love repurposing hydrating masks as sleeping masks! This one from glossier is divine and stays on all night. ✨Cotton pillow cases are some of the most drying materials because they’re really absorbant (think about coton rounds!). Something like silk is less rough on skin, not only because of the softer fibers and higher thread count, but it absorbs less moisture than cotton, so your skin stays more hydrated. For those who suffer from dry skin or who live in dry climates, that bit of extra overnight hydration can mean waking up with a less tight, dry face (and less wrinkles!) slip - Pillowcase White King Zippered King (51 x 91cm/ 20" x 36") / Invisible Zipper these pillow cases from slip are tried and true, everyone in the beauty community swears by them as do I.
PM ROUTINE CURRENTLY
CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I don’t usually like foaming face washes, they tend to make my skin feel too clean. But I use this one when I have had a long day of lots of product *reapplying sunscreen, full face off makeup, or been sweating a ton or just need a really good deep clean. now - Solutions, Gel Cleanser, Vitamin C & Manuka Honey Picked this guy up because of the benefits of honey and vitamin c to the skin, and gel formulas for combo’s like myself. I like it so far, plus it smells like heaven. GARNIER - Micellar Water Facial Cleanser Sensitive Skin I went back to this oldie but goodie from the BURTS BEES CLEANSING OIL fiasco, I talked about in my AM ROUTINE POST. I don’t love love micellar water, I’m looking for a ‘cleansing balm’ that won’t break the bank or cause me skin irritation but this is my in between choice. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Well, first, i was unsurprised when I found out I like apparently many others were using this wrong. Now that I am in the know, did my research, I am more pleased with this product then the first 2 months I had it in my bathroom. The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA My current chemical exfoliant of choice. I deal with some textural irregularities predominantly along my jaw line and my break out tend to be there, my chin, temples and forehead. I like like the gentle exfoliation of the product but I am interested in other aha/bha products. Leven Rose - Jojoba Oil This oil is kind of a god send, it’s great not one for my skin, in small doses, but also my hair. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin IF YOU HAVE DRY SKIN, YOU NEED THIS LOTION. I use this lotion after showers, & baths. I used it in the winter for terrible winter skin. I use it as a night cream sometimes. It’s just so good. It’s got everything you need. THE inkey LIST - Bakuchiol Retinol Alternative Moisturizer I just started using this, I don’t really have much of a say on it so far. It goes on nice. It doesn’t seem to be having any negative effects. I’ve never used a retinol, but I apparently thought I have sensitive as fuck skin, lets go for an alternative.
I used tea tree oil to get rid of my skin tags!
Did you know you can safely and painLESSly remove your skin tags with tea tree oil??? I have had skin tags on my neck for as long as I can remember.... unfortunately for me i believe they re caused by the friction of my apron I wear for work every single day! 🙈 Over quarantine I realized I had been wanting to try this technique to get rid of the skin tags! It was SO EASY.... but tedious..... Every single day, two times a day, I applied the 100% tea tree oil to my skin tags and over a period of 4-5 weeks they either all disappeared, scabbed and fell off or significantly got smaller in size!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 This is a strong smelling oil so beware to wash hands off before touching rest of face, animals, children etc! Tea tree oils can be harmful for animals so beware when you put it on and let it set it for a while before cuddling your fur babies! 👌🏻 HERE IS SOME OTHER GREAT USES FOR TEA TREE OIL helps clear acne helps get rid of warts can get rid of ingrown hairs helps rid head lice mix with olive oil and apply to help clear up rashes softens dry cuticles (mix with jojoba oil) helps rid corns and calluses 🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃 TRADER JOE'S - Spa 100% Australian Tea Tree Oil #cheriecreator

recovering hyperpigmentation in legs/day 1
*TW MENTIONS OF SCARS, SELF HARM* as I mentioned in one of my previous posts, i used to suffer from self harm from scratching my legs on purpose, dont worry in better now. But that has left me with hyperpigmentation in my legs. My legs get dry and itchy very easily so its been hard for me to find something that will work without over drying my skin. Honestly, at first, i didnt think it was hyperpigmentation in my legs, i thought it was iust scarring. I bought a scar gel for me to use, and nothing has changed. So i did some research and find out it was hyperpigmentation! Ive heard great reviews on this product. I got it at ulta for $28. Im going to be applying twice a day with weekly updates. Stay tuned :) TRULY - Jelly Booster Pigment Treatment Body Potion

GREAT NATURAL CLEANSER FOR ACNE
African Black Soap! I finally tried it after so long, and let me say, this soap is GREAT! As someone with really oily and acne prone skin, this is the one soap that makes my skin feel super clean. PRICE $10 (on Amazon) for 1 lb of soap. (It’s a pretty great price considering it’s a pound and lasts you pretty long, the picture I provided is how it looks with a chunk already cut off. WHAT IS AFRICAN BLACK SOAP? a moisturizing face and body cleanser made of completely organic ingredients (no chemicals) handmade in Africa, specifically Ghana. INGREDIENTS (All organic!) Palm oil, Cocoa butter, Palm Kernel Oil, Coconut oil, Unrefined Shea Butter, Plantain Skin Ash, Purified Water, Natural Vitamin E, Aloe, and Natural Sodium. BENEFITS? Promotes an even skin tone Reduces inflammation Promotes skin clarity Deeply cleanses skin *SOME NOTES BEFORE USING It clearly doesn’t look like your usual bar of soap, but don’t be alarmed! It looks that way because it’s ORGANIC. It is also HANDMADE. So it looks this way on purpose and any “African black soap” that doesn’t look similar to this one, is FAKE. (A smooth and uniformly black soap is a fake version ) The smell is unique, not necessarily sweet but slightly strong. (A very earthy smell) Do a patch test first! (As in test it on a section of your skin first, like your arm) Just to make sure it doesn’t irritate your skin, since it’s strong It’s always recommended to start slowly and build up gradually! (As in keep the soap on your skin for 5 seconds then wash off, for your first time.) THEN after seeing how your skin reacts, gradually increase the time until your skin is used to it and can handle it for however long you typically wash your face/skin for. Be cautious! Since it has plantain skin ash, sometimes small bead-like pieces come off of the soap while you’re scrubbing. So don’t scrub aggressively and you’ll be fine. MY EXPERIENCE I love this soap! It definitely cleanses your skin. I used it as a face wash and my face felt so soft immediately after washing it. (And it feels like this every single time!) I have tried using it on the rest of my body and have had no issues! My skin always feels clean. Many say it helps clear acne and after having used it for about a month now, I haven’t noticed any change in my acne. BUT I’m still hopeful as it does clean my face very well. It gives that squeaky clean feel, which I enjoy because it makes me feel like the dirt is washed off. This soap has made my skin feel the cleanest it’s ever felt. It lasts a LONG TIME. (Only need the tiniest amount to suds up and cover your face! be careful if you have cuts on your fingers or open acne because it can burn! I use this soap daily! unless I used a strong face mask prior (then I skip using that soap and use a more gentle cleanser) It makes your skin feel tight (at least for me) and sometimes dry, so I always moisturize after. (As you always should) Try it! (:
FRÉ BODY is marketed as skincare formulated for active bodies. It is intended to protect skin from the daily combination of sweat, sun, and environmental aggression. Powered by their Argania Active Complex, it promises to prevent and treat acne, dark spots, sun damage, skin inflammation and signs of aging all over your body. ✨ I’ve been using this set for the past few weeks and ready to share some thoughts. ✨ The combination of using the body wash (Purify Body) followed by the oil (Glow Body) has just been delightful. The invigorating citrusy fragrance (Chefs Kiss), the apricot seed powder for the right amount of daily exfoliation in the wash, the combination of soothing and hydrating elements all come together to leave my skin clean, smooth and soft. I’m genuinely enjoying this duo!! ✨The third element in the kit is Protect Body moisturizing lotion with SPF 30. I really loved the idea of this because I’m not as diligent with the body as I am with the face when it comes to sunscreen. aesthete encouraged me to look closer at the ingredients, specifically Homosalate which is the second listed ingredient in this formulation. Homosalate is a UV-absorbing sunscreen ingredient which helps sunscreen to penetrate your skin. Once the ingredient has been absorbed, homosalate accumulates in our bodies faster than we can get rid of it, becomes toxic and disrupts our hormones. This means it messes with your endocrine system—the system responsible for regulating all the activity of your cells and organs. To be honest, I probably would have finished it and used this information as grounds not to repurchase... however, I’m pregnant and I don’t need anything potentially messing with my hormones so I stopped using it. . ✨ I want to reiterate that just I stopped using the SPF lotion due to my pregnancy, I’m throughly enjoying Purify Body and Glow Body!!
🌙 Goodbye Chestne & Backne 🌙
The one thing I hate about the summer months, especially when you have very humid weather, is the fact that sweat, oil, and bacteria often lead to body acne. Unfortunately for me I have extremely reactive skin. So even one pimple on my chest or back is like a red beacon that can be seen from outer space. However, while researching body moisturizers to help ease folliculitis on my legs I found a secret weapon that has completely erased my body acne, so let’s talk about it! 🌙🌙🌙🌙 GOLD BOND - Rough & Bumpy Skin is a highly moisturizing unscented cream with several active ingredients that help unclog pores, exfoliate, and speed up cell turnover. It contains a nice blend of AHA, BHA, and PHA chemical exfoliants. Since the formula is thick and super moisturizing and unscented it shouldn’t leave your skin irritated. 🌙🌙🌙🌙 Since the skin on my body is so reactive I was skeptical that this product would be too harsh for me. However, after using this for two months applying it every night to my chest and back I’ve seen a dramatic improvement in dark spots and occurrence of acne blemishes. For the first time in many years my back and chest is completely clear (to note my body acne has always been VERY mild, but annoying nonetheless). As for the folliculitis on my legs, I still get stubborn clogged pores but no where near as bad as it used to be. Quick word of warning for all you sensitive skinned humans, don’t apply this after shaving, it burns! The only downside I have encountered is that it can make your skin peel which I guess is a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you want to look at it. If you apply it at night you shouldn’t have a problem the next day. This is safe to use everyday, but please apply sunscreen if you apply it in the A.M. 🌙🌙🌙🌙 So have you tried this little miracle worker yet? If so what did you think?
