Been comparing these acne patches for the past week and now I’m ready to share my thoughts! Ollie Belle Cover Dot Acne Care - out of the three brands that I tested, this has the strongest adhesive. I also like how the dots are sticked to a perforated packaging which makes it easier to peel. Saw the fastest results with this one, you can really see how much oil and pus it has absorbed! Hero Cosmetics Mighty Patch Original - protects blemishes and makes pimple heal faster overnight. Thickest from the ones I tried, great for in-house use. Would love to see how the Invisible one compares! They also have a Surface variant (a huge rectangle hydrocolloid sticker) that seems great if you’re breaking out in one area. A’Pieu NonCo Tea Tree Spot Patch - formulated with pure essential tea tree oil to help spots and grape seed oil to keep skin moisturized. Thinnest and contains different sizes which makes it perfect for all types of pimple. Might just be my fave out of the three and works better for me than the COSRX ones!

PM skincare for acne!
Hi friends❤️ in this post I am going to go through the products I use on nights that I am not using DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel Step 1: First cleanse I raved about theTHE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm in my other PM skincare post! This is one of my favorite products in my whole routine. Very soothing and removes all makeup! Did I mention it’s only $10 freaking dollars?!? Step 2: second cleanse GLYTONE - Acne BPO Clearing Cleanser I just started incorporating a benzoyl peroxide cleanser on the nights I do not use differin because I have never tried benzoyl peroxide for my acne besides spot treatments. Spot treatments with BPO always burn my skin so I thought this cleanser would be a great alternative! It feels very hydrating and non stripping on my skin, it has 4.5% benzoyl peroxide. I can’t give it 5 stars yet because I just started using it, but I will keep y’all updated! Step 3: toner I never use the PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator on the same nights I use the benzoyl peroxide cleanser. But I have loved this product so far. I focus this mostly on my t zone where I get a lot of clogged pores and it seems to be helping so far! Step 4: moisturizer/mask LANEIGE - Cica Sleeping Mask I have been wanting to try this product for a long time because I have a lot of redness from active acne and scarring. I use it as a moisturizer/ leave in mask some nights and it is very soothing and hydrating. It can feel greasy if you put too much on, a little goes a long way! I am not 100% sure if I would repurchase because I haven’t had any drastic results and it is a bit pricey at $34. Step 5: pimple patches! I use HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell almost every night on any white heads I might have and they keep me from picking yayyyy!!

Acne Skin Routine 🧴
I have acne-prone skin so I do this routine 1-2 times a week. I start by using the DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil to remove sunscreen and/or makeup. Although this one clogged my pores and made me break out, I still want to finish it before I find a new one. Next, I use the CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin to gently cleanse while exfoliating. I’ve been using this for a few months and haven’t noticed transforming results like others have. I tone with the peach slices - Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner which has snail mucin (anti-aging), hyaluronic acid (hydrating), Centella Asiatica (soothing), and Tocopherol (Vitamin E). Overall great toner! I mildly exfoliate again with the VERSED - JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum which has willow bark, niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, zinc gluconate, and more. Finally, I moisturize with the cocokind - Texture smoothing cream which I have been loving! It has a lot of squalane which hydrates while balancing oils. Occasionally, I also use pimple patches when I’m breaking out (which is often). My favorite ones are the HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell ones.

The best pimple patches
The best pimple patches
For a long time, I thought pimple patches were gimmicky—I didn’t think putting a sticker on my zits would solve anything. Luckily, I was wrong! I was going through a really rough breakout back in the spring, and my Curology provider adjusted my formula and recommended some other products to help in the meantime, including hydrocolloid patches. I won’t even pretend that I understand exactly how they work, but they WORK—they suck liquid and gunk out of blemishes and leave them noticeably less red and inflamed overnight. I’ve been using patches regularly since around May, and these are the best ones I’ve tried. I like that these come in a sheet with different sizes, because not all blemishes are the same size. They’re very easy to apply, and since they’re clear they’re very subtle—I have no qualms wearing these out to run errands. I normally do all my skincare, then dry the blemish with a Q-tip so the patch will adhere better before I apply it. I toss and turn a lot in my sleep and I think I’ve had like *one* of these fall off, ever. My one note is that these do not work on “underground” pimples that haven’t come to a head—there are some patches with microdarts in them that are made specifically for those types of blemishes, though. I buy a 4-pack of the 24-count sheets on Amazon for around $12-$14, and they are so worth it to me. They help blemishes heal noticeably faster, and they also prevent me from picking at them. I recommend these to anyone who gets pimples that they wish they could zap in just a nigh or two!

👼🏻 Can we tell that’s a halo? Okay good. Because these COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patches have been an absolute angel of mercy in this fun spontaneous outbreak of adult acne I’m having 😊 (which if anyone is following along I stopped taking the Viviscal and it seems to be clearing up) 👼🏻 I’m not huge on acne spot treatments because a.) I’m not usually very acne prone and b.) I feel like a lot of them don’t do anything. But in a fit of desperation at my local Beauty Tapl I grabbed a pack of these. First of all, it $6 for 24 patches which is much more reasonable than a lot of similar products out there (Peace Out, Dr. Jart...I’m talking to you). Second of all these stay on all day and are relatively unnoticeable as they are just little translucent circles. The stickers help deter me from picking too which is something I love to do and the hate myself for after. Third of all I was SHOOK at how well these worked. After like six hours of being on, the spots I had placed them over were nearly gone and by the next day totally eradicated. The main active ingredient in these is hydrocolloid which is an interesting little ingredient that draws out impurities then forms a soft gel over the blemish (like a little bandaid 🥰). 👼🏻This product is cruelty free, vegan, and free of alcohol, parabens, sulfates, fragrances, and silicones. It doesn’t dry out or irritate my skin at all like some spot treatments have in the past. This is such a wonderful product. Strongly recommend if you’re struggling with breakouts at all.

This product is amazing and reduces swelling and speeds up breakout time for me really nicely. It smells pretty strong because of the sulfur but that’s the ingredient that really helps in it. I love it and can’t recommend it enough.

Pimple Patch
This COSRX pimple patch is a hydrocolloid sticker you out over a pimple to suck out all the impurities. I love that you get a lot in a pack and that the patches come in all different sizes, because let’s be honest, pimples come in all shapes and sizes. If your pimple isn’t “open” however, the patch won’t really do anything. The only way I found it to be successful was if I popped the pimple and then put the patch on and it would suck everything out. Obviously popping it is something I would rather avoid doing. When it works, it has a cloudy film underneath from everything it pulled up. I also didn’t like how obvious it was, especially if i wanted to wear makeup. I really wish it was more discreet. All in all it’s a decent product and fairly inexpensive. I would say it’s more for people who get an occasional pimple here and there as opposed to someone who has full blown acne.

Fine ... when I remember I have them
Fine ... when I remember I have them
From the brand: “These waterproof pimple patches protect acne from infection and help extract impurities overnight while encouraging healthy skin hydration. Designed to reduce redness and inflammation, these patches help reduce acne scarring by promoting healing.” Each patch is made of hydrocolloid dressing — a gel material that creates a moist environment for an open wound to promote healing. One COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch contains 24 circular patches in a variety of sizes. I bought patches about a year and I always forget that I have them. When I remembered them, I would put them on during the day to prevent myself from picking/popping a pimple — out of sight, out of mind. I did notice that my pimple would heal faster when I used these. Recommend? Yes, but buy one pack at a time. Available: • Amazon: $4.73 • Ulta (online only): $6 • CosRx.com: $6

The Mighty Patch variety pack 🖤

I absolutely adore the HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Variety Pack ! It came with a sheet of the regular, a sheet of the invisible, and a sheet of a bigger patch meant for larger areas. I was sent this by the brand to try. It’s a sticker see through sticker with a sticky backing. It’s really easy to use. When a pimple pops up I stick it on and by morning a lot of the gunk has been sucked out onto the patch. I’m a big fan of the original and invisible ones. I don’t really care for the bigger surface area ones because it was quite painful to peel off. The normal, smaller ones aren’t painful at all. I’d recommend this product to anyone acne prone. I think it’s worth it for how effective they are. Especially because it creates a seal and helps prevent any more bacteria and junk getting into the pimple.
